I got delivery of my beam 2 on the 6th and have the 5.1 setup with sub and one SLs which is great.Ive had an issue twice now with my beam going full volume sounding like a machine guns going off in my livingroom which is unbearable, especially for my dog 😅 and I’ve unplugged it straight away. Once plugged back in it’s fine.The first time was when connecting the beam to my TV but the hdmi had not yet been plugged into the unit, so power on only, 2nd time was when I had paused the tv for a few minutes.I will submit a diagnostic to Sonos next week when I can contact support but thought in the meantime I’d check if this is something anyone else has had issues with as I can’t find anything online?Thanks in advance 🎵

Hi everyone,Last week I got a Beam Gen 2 + Sub Gen 3 to replace my Beam Gen 1. So far everything's been running smoothly. Then today when I was listening to music with said setup while working a sudden hammering sound interrupted the music. The noise must have been at full volume despite the volume limit which I set to 40%. I jumped up from the couch and instantly pulled the plug. Music kept playing in the adjacent dining room on a pair of One/One SL for a bit before it stopped.I tried to find the problem online and only found this video. This is exactly what I experienced with my Beam as well. However, this video does not give a good idea of how loud this really was.Since I couldn't find a solution online, I called the support hotline. The lady on the phone told me, that such a problem has not come up yet. She asked me to replug the Beam and let some music play. After just a few minutes the noise interrupted the music again. Hello, I’m looking to hook up roku ultra to Epson Home Cinema 1080P Projector to sonos amp but unable to get sound out of speakers.  Currently I have HDMI 1 on projector to roku ultra and HDMI 2 going to sonos amp.  I look on sonos S2 app for configuration but unable to find the connection.  Any help would great. Thank you!

My One SLs all of a sudden essentially just sound like main speakers (similar to my ARC); whereas previously they were more for surrounds/rear speakers. I’ve removed them and added them back in but still no change. Any idea on what is causing that?

Hi everyone!I am Pablo and just received my beloved Sonos beam gen 2. I have watched so many videos about how easy it is to pair it with your phone and I just can’t. The app says that any device is found. I already unplugged the Sonos and restart the rooter, but any good news. Any advice would be more than welcome. I am running out of patience and hope. Thanks in advance.  

I’m just moving house and I currently have the Arc, Sub Gen3 and 2 x Era 300s set up in a standard rectangle living room with a flat ceiling. Really happy and easy set up….. However my new place has 12ft vaulted ceiling and it’s a big space to fill. Ideally I would like the TV and Arc in position A but I’m also willing to consider B and C as I think it’s not a good placing for Arc. We listen to a lot of music and that’s my main use however I need to have TV and Arc in a decent position. Where should I place each speaker for optium sound? Your thoughts and advice would be really welcome…. I have recently purchased 2 x Era300 and Cannot get Dolby Atmos sound. I tried them firstly as rear speakers to no avail. Then I tried to make them surround sound after first separating them. The system would not let me alter them to surround. Which I believe needs to be surround for Atmos to work.

Hello,I’ve just moved countries and no longer have in-ceiling rear speakers for both my living room (arc + old sub + amp + 4 x in-ceiling rear) and bedroom setups (old beam+ amp + 4x in ceiling rear) I’m thinking of replacing the in-ceiling rears with 2 x era 300 in the living room and 2 x era 100 for the bedroom.  Would I no longer require the amps with these new setups?Apologies if it’s been asked before, tried to search for an answer.  regards,JP

Hi, I am experiencing intermittent audio dropouts when streaming certain content.  Setup is FireTV stick connected to Sony TV via HDMI, then optical out from the TV to an optical splitter.  One of the outputs goes to the PLAYBAR, the other to a set of headphones.I am noticing dropouts when streaming Netflix and Hulu primarily.  These dropouts last a fraction of a second but are very noticeable when the audio is loud.  Not sure if this will work, but here’s a recording - the dropout is right about in the middle of this car engine revving.https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/1vxfg46pz722oygx7p7n6/sonosdropout.mp3?rlkey=zw0ons5hdpfkbc2hqys6gdh23&dl=0 I do not get these dropouts when listening to the same material on the headphones.  I have swapped the optical cables between headphones and PLAYBAR, and the problem follows the PLAYBAR regardless of which cable is used.   I found a similar thread here from about 6 months ago but with no resolution.   Any ideas?  Thanks!

How far is too far to place the era 300s from the arc? I want to wall mount them and not stand mount them. The only way to do this is to have them 20 feet from the arc. Is that too far?

trying to add music library friom pc to sonos arc wireless done it before but remobed it by mistakenow cant add it always cant connecti know it plays because if i use windows cast to sonos 1 album playsi use add new share\\keith1958\Musicuser namepasswordto logon windows i use pin or fingerprint scanner but pretty sure and pass is right.i have music on drive c and drive d 

I use WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2).….oh, your signal is bad.Reconnect router, unplug this, plug in that, unplug again, factory reset this, use new Sonos app, use old app, try again, could’nt connect...ugh

Help!I can’t get my play base connected no matter what I do, app keeps saying cannot find play base but my other bits(speakers) do show up and are working.I have hardwired play base and even that isn’t picking up thanks

 Hi there group,Just bought 2 Era 300’s and the Arc. Adding my existing Sub Gen 1. Like to get the groups idea of placement of those Era’s. The Arc is going to be mounted on the mantel and the new 83” tv from Lg 72.7”x41.4” will be wall mounted 4-5” above the mantel (see Photo) on the wall. The sub is on the floor near that open door, next to the brown couch. the tv shown is the old 77” LG. Thanks in advance. 

Sound bar doesn't light up

I have a Sonos Arc, Sub Play 1 x2 and Symfonisk lamp ×2, but am unable to turn it into a 5.1 in the app. It's either makes me pick the Play 1, or the lamps in a fresh set up. Are the Play 1 like the Symfonisk speakers where you can only have 2 as part of the 5.1 system? Tia

When catching TV my surround speakers keep lacking. No problem when playing radio, Spotify and so on.  What to do?

I have an Arc+300s+Gen3 Sub.  I felt it was lacking in the full spacial immersion effect up front, so I purchased the Sony system to give it a try.  The surround effect and virtual center channel were very good, but to my ears, its sound quality was just not there and didn’t have the full, rich quality of the Arc system.  I don’t have extensive audio knowledge and was hoping that someone could explain to me why that’s so?  What am I not hearing in the Sony system?

Bonjour, J’ai acquis une Sonos Arc mais je rencontre un problème pour la relier.  En effet, je souhaiterais connecter la Sonos Arc à mon Apple TV 4K et à mon Videoprojecteur (Epson EH-TW5400). Sauf que l’Apple TV n’a qu’un port HDMI et le videoprojecteur en a deux distincts. Comment faire pour relier l’ensemble et faire en sorte que cela fonctionne ?  Merci d’avance de votre aide !

Hi. I feel like I’ve scoured the earth and read every article and forum posting there is on the planet. I really want to utilize my Sonos system because I love Sonos.- Projector: Epson 5050ub (no built-in ARC)- Sonos: Beam Gen 1, plus One SL surrounds (planning to buy a Sub later)- HDMI Matrix: Brand AV Access, has ARC and optical.- Apple TV 4K, XBOX XIssues:Can’t do TV Setup in the Sonos app Can play audio from Apple TV but only via Airplay. Can’t use Apple TV remote to control volume.  Can’t play audio from XBOX whatsoever. Have adjusted some settings, forced HDMI in XBOX settings.Questions:How can I make all this work? Is an HD Arcana Fury required just for sound and Sonos setup? Is a Beam Gen 1 even capable of this?Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. 

Does the TV Level in the Arc app under Surround Audio adjust both front and rear surrounds or just rears?  

I have a playbase, a sub and 2 play 1s as part of my tv setup. The sound keeps breaking up when I’m watching tv. This seems to be even worse when someone else is browsing the internet. I have internet speeds of 60mbps so can’t see why this should be happening. Any suggestions on what I can change to stop this?

So I designed a small cinema in a house I'm working on which is going to have space for an Arc front facing, 4 in wall speakers- two on each side of the cinema room filling 100% of the room and a space for rear speakers, planning on going with Sonos 5’s as rear surrounds or the Era 300s. I’m confused as to how to set them all up. The number of Amps to be used here isn't a problem. Any suggestions? Much appreciated. thank you

Help needed from the forum please! My set up - Arc, era 300 (x2) as surrounds and a mini sub connected via eARC to LG G£ tv.  When connected and watching TV content via apple 4K I have no sound on Netflix or Prime apps with 5.1 audio content (atmos works fine) when my sky Q box is switched on, resulting in silence….. If I switch sky Q box to standby - all works fine and apple 4K can switch between atmos and 5.1 sound!!! - anything in atmos works fine. Normal TV works fine, all LG apps work fine, SKY Q fine. I have spent weeks and hours trouble shooting and on to technical support from LG, apple and sonos.I was advised the TV to be faulty so I updated the brand new G2 to a G3 and have the exact same problem.This seems to be an input issue with LG tv’s, all is ok and everything works if sky Q in standby mode, if sky Q switched on and idle, I have no audio if the content on the apple tv is 5.1… HELP!!!Thanks
