Sony bravia x85j remote volume not connecting with sonos beam gen 2

Hi, love this sonos beam.  What a issue connecting.  With help of this site, finally was able to connect via Earc hdmi!!!  I still have no volume control via sony remote.  It's  RF remote.  Is there a setting I'm overlooking?

I can't connect my remote with Sonos app.  Bravia Sync does not see Sonos.

I think these are the settings needed for that TV…

  • Speakers: Audio System
  • Audio System Prioritization: On
  • A/V Sync: On eARC: Auto
  • Digital Audio Out: Auto 1
  • Dolby Digital Plus Output: Dolby Digital Plus
  • Pass Through Mode: Auto
  • Bravia Sync needs to be enabled

And also…

  • Open Settings
  • Go to Network and Internet
  • Go to Home network
  • Go to IP control
  • Go to Simple IP control & Toggle On 

See if that perhaps gets the TV remote working for you..

Thanks!  Unfortunately didn't work.  Even completely reset tv back to factory.  That didn't work.  I'm about to spend more money on a universal remote.
