Hi all, Since quite some time now I'm having the issue that my Playbar stops audio for a brief moment or cracks while playing games on my PS4. I've already replaced my HDMI cable with a brand new one and tested a few others I had laying around. I've also replaced my optical cable two times and made sure my TV , Sonos playbar and Ps4 are up to date. Also done a complete reset of my PS4 but no result. I've also done all troubleshooting done in this thread: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/ps4-buzzing-and-sound-cuts-in-and-our-6812983 but unfortunately the issue persists. Does anyone had similar problems or perhaps have any idea what it might be? Thanks in advance!

I’m having an issue - my Beam and two Sonos Ones are connected, they all play music, but the Beam is only playing TV audio, not the Sonos Ones.... the beam is connected to the TV through ARC. What am I doing wrong?! I thought the Sonos Ones could connect to Beam for a surround sound effect?

I have a LG 55inch C8 (OLED55C8PTA) and have just purchased a beam which I have paired with two Sono's One's for surround sound. No problems connecting them all up and are currently working fine with surround sound. However, I can't configure the LG magic remote with the beam to adjust the volume. I knew that my Lg magic remote would only work with the beam as I researched this before hand and I knew there was a work around (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3479?language=en_US) however the work around is not working for me and I was wondering if anyone else had come across the same issue and know how to resolve. Basically when following the work around in the above link, everything works ok through the 5 steps that I have to do on the TV in selecting a soundbar and selecting 'Remote Type 1'. When I go into the Sonos app that also works fine when I follow the steps in setting up the remote except for right at the end of the process. In the app you need to press on the volume

My Samsung TV and Beam are connect using ARC. When I use my TV remote to change the volume, I get 2 different size volume dialogs popup and the volume changes by 2 instead of 1. I assume the remote command is going to both the TV and Beam and they both are increasing the volume. What's the best way to fix that?

Connected Beam to a newly purchased Sony 49” Bravia X900E television with HDMI ARC. Connected Beam to wireless network. One room loft like apartment of approximately 1000 square feet. Listening area places two arm chairs approximately 13 ft from the Beam which is placed immediately in front of the TV on a stand that is 26 inches high. Obviusley I know the sub ads a lot more bass to your setup but I'm wondering how it changes it all? Does is alter what sounds come out of the beam and 2 Play1:s I already have set up? For example will the beam stop kicking out bass and concentrate on the centre channel stuff like voices etc? I have suffered a little with the low voice volume and really loud action scenes so I'm wondering if having the sub and being able to adjust the level seperatley with make things better for me overall?

I recently purchased a Beam to use with my Samsung UE40NU7120K and I am having problems with audio not in sync with visual when using Dolby Digital and Bitstream as set up on TV. This is using HDMI ARC. I know there have been a lot of posts on here concerning this but haven't seen a definitive response from Sonos. I can get it to sync if I switch audio to PCM but is this inferior sound? If I want to extend my Sonos system will I always have to use PCM and not the better quality Dolby? Is there anything else I can try? I'm still within the 100 day return window so might consider changing to a rival soundbar from Bose as I haven't seen issues with them.

Hi everyone, I have been reading these posts for the last few months and still can't seem to find a solution. I have an Epson 2150 projector which only has a 3.5 jack for audio. My chromecast is plugged into the HDMI port which is how I stream videos, etc. I purchased the beam and have recently tried connecting all of these together with an analog Audio to Digital Audio Converter but cannot seem to get it to work. I also have 2 play ones that are connected to my beam currently with no issue. I just need to get the beam connected to my projector. Please help!!!

Hi, I own a Sonos beam and I would like to connect it both to the optical port on my computer and to the HDMI ARC port on my tv. At the moment I have to use the optical to HDMI that is included in the box for my computer and one cable to my Tv. When I want to switch between the devices I have to switch the cords since there is only one HDMI port on the beam. I tried using a regular HDMI switch but no luck. Is there a better way, is there some kind of HDMI switch that supports ARC?

I have a 5.1 setup (playbar, sub, 2 play:1s). Recently, the playbar has a crackling and static like sound coming out of it when I watching cable tv (cox). I have an optical cable running from the playbar directly to the TV. Please help.

Years ago I bought the playbar and tried it out. I ended up returning it because it was difficult to change between TV sound and SONOS. At the time you had to use the app. So if you came home and turned on the tv (but had been listening to music the night before), you had to pull out your phone to change the input to hear the sound. Has this issue been resolved? Will the home theatre products automatically switch to tv input when the TV is powered on?

Hi, I've just added a Sonos Beam to my collection and connected it to my kitchen TV, a Samsung UE32H5500 via HDMI ARC. Things work okay, when I control the TV volume it changes the volume of the Beam, however even on 100 (which is maximum) the sound isn't what I would call loud. If I switch to play music instead of the TV the sound is insanely loud. There don't seem to be any settings on my TV to balance or increase the sound. I can't believe I've got to play this at full volume just to hear it?? Can anyone suggest anything to help? Many thanks

I am trying out the Sonos beam but wanted to connect my projector to the beam using phono cables... But since there is only a HDMI input I bought an Analog to digital Audio Converter - Goobay (https://www.avxperten.dk/ad-converter/analog-til-digital-audio-converter-goobay.asp) so I could add phono to adapter -> get optical out and use the HDMI to optical adapter that comes in the box. But when I do this I have 1 second of sound, then 1 second of silence and this continues. I wrote the company that sold me the adapter and they suggested that it is because Sonos use an abnormal choice of frequency and thus their adapter did not work. Anyone that could envision a fix so one can get an Analog input into the beam? Anyone know whether Sonos plan to update so the HDMI accept more standard input?

Have 2 Amps connected to Samsung TV through HDMI Arc. When TV is off the Amps cause the TV stand by light to flash. It should normally not flash when off. Suggestions?

How to switch on and off the input from TV connected with HDMI ARC? My Sony AF8 has a brilliant sound - so I want to be able to easily switch from AMP sound to TV sound - but it seems not to be possible. Unless pulling out the HDMI cable. Is it really true - that there is no simple functionality to solve this? If so when will will the App and the AMP software be updated? Otherwise really happy with the new AMP ?

Need some help. I have a Beam, 2 play ones and 2 Ones that I want to add all to the one room connected to my TV. I have added the Beam to the room "Living Room", but then when I go to add the Play ones and the ones, the "Living Room" is not an option to add these 2 and I have to add them to a new room. Then when I turn on the TV only the Beam plays the sound and I have to go into the Sonos App to group them every time. How can I just add all these speakers to the one room so that when the TV is switched on, they all play sound. Thanks and sorry if there is an answer somewhere else but I just couldn't find it.

I'm looking to build a 5.1 channel surround system around my two Play:5 Gen 2's. I want to keep the Play:5's as L+R, add two One's for rear (L+R), a subwoofer, and a center channel (beam or playbar). My question is, does SONOS provide functionality to use sound bars as a center channel between two speakers for L+R?

As part of a home renovation, I am installing a new Sonos Amp off which will run a pair of ceiling speakers (B&W CCM664). These will be front L & R speakers through which the TV will run as well as a turntable. Does anyone know if it will be possible to add a pair of Play:1s to this setup in order to add rear surround sound (the ceiling speakers providing the front audio)? Unfortunately I won't be installing a soundbar so this is my only option.

Bought my second Beam and Samsung Series 7 tv today and followed the setup procedure, I’ve tried HDMI IN THE ARC port, I’ve trid the optical in and neither work. I have another Beam in the family room which is connected to sky Q mini box and works well as long as you don’t use Dolby which is annoying but at least it works. I never thought when handing over £399 I’d be having these problems and feeling frustrated, turning the tv on and off ect, please help.

Love all the speakers when listening to music. Not so much when watching TV. With Surround sound music his high and voice is low... got to keep the remove in my hand at all times to increase volumn and decrease it so that i don't scare the neighbors. Please tell me I don't have something setup correctly. I am using HDMI ARC to samsung TV and did Trueplay.

Just got a new Samsung TV that has no Analog output anymore, only HDMI and optical. My Sonos Connect only has Analog (red-white cable) input. How do I connect my new TV to my Sonos Connect?

Hi, I was hoping forum members who have Sonos Beam in a 5.1 setup advise me regarding adding a Sub with my current setup of Beam and Play 3 surrounds. I have read some posts where users are happy with the sub whereas some have suggested it might be a bit of "overkill" and some users have mentioned sub overpowering the Beam. I have a small/medium size living area (15ft x 12ft x 7 ft) and the current use is regular TV, listening to music via Spotify and movies (Netflix and Bluray). Hi, i’ve just bought a Beam, connected to a Sony Bravia tv using the optical cable (no HDMI ARC). Sound great except for intermittent audio drop outs lasting for a fraction of a second. I’ve noticed this when streaming from my Apple TV 4K and also when watching ordinary tv (Virgin cable). No problems so far when listening to music through Spotify. Would be great to resolve this as I’m very happy otherwise! Thanks. Diagnostic: 569334727

I have a playbase and added two sonos one speakers but getting very liitle sound from the speakers when watching TV. When playing music the sound is great. The TV is a Panasonic Model is TX-50DX7OOB. Tried most things but can't get the sonos speakers to work properly? Any suggestions please?
