Fire Cube with Sonos Beam

So I just bought a fire Cube for my TV. I also have a Sonos Beam. My TV is from 2015 and doesn't have HDMI Arc or optical input, so using the adapter I connected the beam directly into the cable box optical input for sound. Now I bought the cube and have it into an HDMI input but cannot get sound at all. Does anyone know what the solution would be to my overall setup so that the beam provides sound no matter what input I am on? I realize I probably need some sort of adapter but I'm not sure which one or how it should be setup. I really appreciate any advice/input. Thank you!

Use a combined HDMI switch and audio extractor. Plug the cable box and Cube into it and switch sources there rather than in the TV. Take an optical feed from the switch to the Beam.
