I am having Blu-ray audio issues.I am not using a receiver, so the ARC and Xbox are hooked directly into my LG B7A via HDMI (HDMI-ARC for the speaker).Everything on the Xbox is set up per the instructions on the Dolby app.On the TV, SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) is ON. If Digital Sound Out is set to AUTO I get menu audio but none for the movie. The only other option is PCM which gives me audio, but if I understand correctly that will not allow for Atmos.To compound my confusion, the issue doesn't seem consistent across disc format. I've tried multiple 4K Blu-ray and all worked on AUTO except for E.T. I've tried multiple standard Blu-ray and none worked except for The Haunting of Hill House. I've only tried one DVD so far, but it worked. Audio seems to work fine on all games and apps with the digital sound set to AUTO. I am lost on what else to try here.

We have a Sonos Playbar (+2.1) . Our current setup is DVD & Roku into an HDMI splitter, HDMI to TV, audio via optical to the Playbar.  It works reasonably well in 5.1 - there is some moderate lag depending on which app the Roku is looking playing (Amazon sync is frequently bad, Disney+ sometimes, too).We recently bought a new TV and I see it has an optical out. That opens up the possibility of taking the audio from the TV into the Playbar, instead of audio from the splitter.So, I wanted to ask: does anyone have any opinions about which is the best way to go?[Obviously the best way to tell would be to try, but I’m not up for a round of re-cabling right now. So I thought I’d ask, first.]

Hello. have Beam beneath TV and then 2xSonosOne SL either side of the sofa.  Set up and usage has been fine to date but recently the right SL began to drop out, and the left has followed. Issue is they keep disconnecting.  The beam is working and is successfully controlled by the television remote. I have reset wifi and used truplay to retune once I have (finally) managed to get the SLs identified. my diagnosis info number is - 1378416165  Welcome any guidance and tips.  

I know this question has been posted several times, but the answers don't seem to be helping me. I have an Amp set up in my basement with 2 in ceiling speakers. The AMP is daisy chained to two more AMPs by ethernet cables, and then runs into a switch.It works fine as a stand alone room. Then, I added a beam, and a sub to the same room. The Beam (wired with ethernet or wireless) and the sub (wireless) work together for my TV, but I can't get the AMP speakers to work with them, and now that I tried adding the AMP speakers as surrounds, they no longer come on at all... Even if I try to use them as standalone. What am I missing.

Hii‘m hoping someone can help with the issue(s) outlined below as trying to go between potentially three different support companies in Sonos/Apple/Panasonic is proving difficult.So I have myself a new Sonos Arc which has replaced Sonos Playbase as part of surround sound with sonos sub and two play ones.My TV is a Panasonic Viera from 2017 with an Arc port (not eArc) on HDMI2. Model 58dx700b. My Sonos Arc is currently attached via hdmi not with the optical adapter.I also use an Apple TV 4K on hdmi 1 port along with basic aerial into aerial tv point for freeview.My issues are as follows.1. Despite having reset everything notably the TV to factory settings and re attached the Arc, whilst I can get sound when using Apple TV I can only get the normal TV sound once I have switched input source to hdmi 2 for the Arc and switch back to TV source again. I’m totally confused! I have an Apple 4K, Roku Ultra, Fire Stick 4K, and Android TV in a Sony XBR-55X900E. So I bring up Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime using the Android TV and there is no Dolby Atmos logo showing in the movie description. Now, I go to Apple TV bring up the same movie and it shows the Dolby Atmos logo. Now, how do I know if it’s playing in Dolby Atmos. I check the S2 app on my iPhone and there is nothing showing me any audio output sound except I have enhanced speech turned on. And the night sound logo.

Hi, I’m a very happy owner of a Sonos Arc, Two Play Fives (rears) and 2 subs. Let me first say - kudos - this is the closest I have been able to get to a high end dedicated separates setup from a wireless (speaker cable perspective) setup. I bought into Sonos because I really appreciate the configurability of the speaker range and I am a huge believe in dedicated powered speakers where each speaker contains it’s own dedicated pre-amp/amp and woofer technology closely mated to each other.While I truly do love my Sonos Arc set, I do feel that there is a possible step up in sound quality that Sonos *could* offer… Allow the Sonos Amp to wirelessly connect 5 separate Sonos Fives (Front left, center, Front Right, rear left, rear right) for dedicated 5.1/5.2 setup. If Sonos wanted to go all out it would be lovely to know that I could grow my home theatre setup into a true 5.2.4 setup (augmenting the above setup with dedicated One’s for height atmospheric effect. While I appreciate just how go

I’ve just upgraded my TV from a Sony 4K to a Philips OLED 4K TV. Immediately I have found issues with the Audio sync, mainly the audio being behind the picture. The only true way to solve it, seems to be change the Audio out mode on the TV to stereo, not ideal when I have two Ones acting as surround speakers. There doesn’t seem to be a way to fix this, sometimes switching the TV on and off resolves. It just seems very odd that this has occurred with the new TV.   Pretty gutted at the moment :(

I'm trying to use a pair of OneSL and Five speakers as surrounds, for a total of four surround speakers plus an ARC. The app doesn't seem to support more than 2 surround speakers. Any suggestions?

Greetings,I am using Streaming services to view content on my LG CX TV.If the contect is delivered in Dolby Atmos / Dolby Vision, I could see a notification in the top right corner of the screen.after connecting the arc, I don’t see Dolby Atmos notification anymore ( I can still view the Dolby vision notification though). I don’t see the dolby atmos notification in the sonos app as well !The arc is connected to the eARC HDMI port (2nd port) via the provided cable.could you help please?

Just installed Sonos Arc, Sub, and 2 One SLs on Saturday for use with my Sony A8H. When I want to listen to a music app, the Sonos app warns that you will lose audio connection to the TV. I tried the switch and sure enough, I had to go back into the TVs settings to get my audio back. Is there a more seamless way to toggle back and forth without so much work involved?I tried using my Firestick to listen to Amazon Music, but then the screen goes to sleep and it now does the same when I watch regular TV. That is a whole other disaster that I’ll need to address… Any help would be appreciated.

Can you recommend an HDMI switch (for audio). I have the Sonos ARC and want my TV and my record player both connected to the ARC via HDMI cables, but the ARC only has one HDMI connection…? Would like to not have to manually unplug/plug the different HDMI cable into the back of the soundbar every time I want to switch from playing TV sound to playing record player sound.  open to an alternative solution as well...

My play bar won’t sync with my iPhone. 

I currently own the Arc, 2 One SL's and 2 Subs. Considering that the upfiring drivers on the Arc are very poor at delivering reflective sounds, what is the difference between Atmos and Dolby Digital 5.1 as an overall surround presentation?

The Arc is a great new soundbar, the sound is great and the aesthetic is pretty good. But when mounted on the wall using the official kit the feet are very visible. The underside of the Arc is covered in a single piece rubber covering that has two raised bars at each end which lift the Arc when mounted on a flat surface. I’m sure they are great for that purpose, but when mounted on the wall it just looks like something that was designed to sit on a flat surface which has been stuck to the wall. This really spoils the effect and look of the soundbar.  Surely it would have been very easy to make these removable for when wall mounted. Or a replacement rubber base covering (its glued on) that comes with the wall mount kit. This is a big miss by Sonos IMHO

Hi,am new to Sonos community, I have Sonos arc and sub Gen 3Just wanted to know Q1- is that arc and sub itself produce 5.1.or 3.1, because I asked this many online platform and reviewers, different information from every time.Q2- Dolby Atmos not as expected honestly (Sonos app shows Dolby Atmos),if add two rear speakers SL one,is that make difference in Atmos effect, however SL is not dedicated rear speakers,Q3- is there any plan for Sonos to make rear speaker with upward firing speakers to support Sonos arc in order to get Atmos more.Thanks   

Hoping someone can help - I have my PS5 connected to my Panasonic HX800 TV via HDMI. The Sonos Beam is then connected to the TV over ARC. In the PS5 settings should I be using PCM or Bitstream (Dolby) and can someone help me understand why one is better?Thanks, I have searched around and can’t find a solid answer Sam

HelloI have a weird issue with my Apple TV 4k and Sonos surround setup.Here is the setup: Beam + 2x Play One SLs, Beam is connected to my Sony TV via HDMI ARC.When using my PS4 or my Nintendo Switch, no issue, everythings fine.When I use my Apple TV 4k, the main interface and most of the audio only plays on the beam and not on the Play One SLs. Even weirder, when I launch a movie from the Movie app, it plays actual surround on all speakers!I tried multiple settings, both on my tv and on my Apple TV, the only way to have the sound coming out of all speakers it through Airplay, which is not great because it is not automatic and adds latency issues.Of course, everything runs latest software updates and have been restarted. Anyone has similar issue?

I own an Arc and a Sony UBP-X700 4K Blu Ray Player. I know how to set the Blu Ray player to output Bitstream so the Arc can decode Atmos, but what settings do I need to look for on the player and TV so the player will decode DTS and send LPCM through the TV to the Arc.Thanks in advance for any help.

Sonos Arc and LG TV. When starting streaming music With TV on I authorize Interruption of Tv audio as requested in the dialogue box. When I stop music TV audio does not return automatically. My quick fix is toggling TV autoplay off-on and TV audio returns. I would prefer that it works automatically.Thanks.

I have been dealing with seemingly random static/crackling on my rear channel Play 3s in my 5.1 setup (which also consists of a Playbar and Sub). My Sonos system is running on Wifi via my Orbi Mesh network, not Sonosnet (switched it over a while back in an effort to address this problem and what seemed like communication issues between other Sonos components in our house--we have a lot.  Helped with the rest, but still get the random rear channel noise on the 5.1 setup.)  Our network is very fast and we have no other issues with it. Most of what we watch is through Apple TV, either Apple content directly, Netflix, Prime, HBO Max, etc.  It happens randomly on all of these, but most consistently through Netflix.  Apple TV is set to output Dolby 5.1; I’ve adjusted these settings and it seems to make no difference.Sound is passed through our TV (Sony XBR65X950H) with all the sound processing settings in the TV turned off, at least to my knowledge. The problem seems to occur mostly at rando

I am currently renovating my basement and want to setup a basic 4.1 surround system using a combination of sonance by Sonos in-wall speakers, two sonance speakers for rear surrounds (possibly a wireless sub), and connect everything to a Sonos Amp. I also want to have the capability to wire two outdoor sononace by Sonos speakers to the amp. Is this possible to do?  I don’t want to run all six speakers at the same time. I just want to have all speakers connected to the amp, and have the amp play a 4.1 system when that is up and running, and then play music at a different time through the outdoor speakers.
