Hello,I need your help please:Can we use google assistant or any other system to record conversations in a room where a sonos is without notifying it? Can we use the sonos system combined with google assistant or any other one to listen to activities happening in a room?I am asking as I suspect my ex husband set this up to follow my conversations and listen to activities happening at my home. Thanks so much for your help!
It is UNACCEPTABLE that you are marketing Sonos Roam speakers with GOOGLE VOICE ASSISTANT and ALEXA when you do not support it in Poland. The Roam should not be sold in this market as you are misleading customers with your translated user guide, indicating it can work. Only to figure out, by digging deeper on the website that it does not.Can I ask you Sonos, why you are selling the Roam in Poland, when you are fully aware that the only product that should be on sale is the Roam SL?As for the laziness of not adding voice support with English is beyond me. Next of, except for the fraudulent behavior against your own customers, this practice is exceptionally fraudulent against your competitors. They are not advertising their products with features they do not deliver. As a company you have lost all integrity as it is quite clear you do this deliberately. Fortunately I am in a position to advice quite many people on consumer products, needless to say, your brand will forever stay in the bla
I have tried resetting multiple times, reinstalling all my apps and also a factory reset on my Sonos move. I verified it is connected to the same network as my phone and while I know there is a connection between my phone and the sonos device it still will not install google voice it goes through the steps and when it looks for the device it says not found.
All ot the sudden. One of my Sonos one devices no longer plays music when I ask it to on the Google Assistant. It says I must tell it what device to play it on. It never did this before and it's obviously kind of stupid since it is obviously the device I want to play it on. I thought the fix would be to pair the Sonos one as its own speaker but I can't find that option in Google home. I can for other rooms where I have legacy Sonos devices paired with Google home devices. But when it's all integrated in one thing I can't seem to figure out how to make it default to playing on itself anymore?
I added google assistant as voice control in sonos and this works fine. I added Apple Music as music service in sonos and that works fine selecting music through the sonos app.I set Apple Music as preferred music service in google assistant.I get an error when asking music through voice control. First there is confirmation of the command to play the song through Apple Music but then it states that this is not supported.this Sames a pretty basic action, why is this not working?
The web is awash with all sorts of answers to similar questions, some with answers two or three years old which might as well be written on papyrus for all their relevancy to today. So let me ask my own. Here’s what I have now:1 Google Nest Wifi Router 1 Sonos 1 speaker 1 crummy old wired doorbell chimeWith these I can play music through my IPhone on the speaker via Nest WiFi, to which the speaker is connected. I can, sometimes, hear the crummy doorbell ring. Now I want to add an electronic doorbell/camera to this mix.I am looking at the Google Nest Wired doorbell. Wired, so I don’t have to mess with batteries. I could care less if the existing chime worked. I could even disconnect the chime itself, since it isn’t always loud enough. I want the signal from the bell to connect to the Nest Router and from there to the Sonos speaker and chime over the speaker. I see a lot of content saying you can get the doorbell to ring through a Google speaker but I don’t want to buy another speaker jus
I’ve been trying to add the ability to control my Sonos system with Google Assistant. In the Sono2 app, I go to “Service & Voice”, then select “+ Add a third-party smart device to control Sonos”. I then get the option of either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. When I choose Google Assistant, I get the following screen: It doesn’t let me add any functionality in the app itself. I have followed this instructions on Google Assistant but it doesn’t work. I spent a long time on the phone with Sonos Technical Support but they couldn’t solve this. Anyone get past this issue? Thank you
We have a number of Sonos speakers, three of which use Google voice search. We each have our own Spotify user profiles and Google Assistant accounts, including my wife. For both of us, Google complies with commands to do things like switch on lights, and if we ask it "Who am I," it knows each of us by name. But for me, it only functions when I request music. It indicates that it doesn't understand for my wife. Using her Spotify app, she can effectively send music to Sonos, but voice commands are ineffective.
We have several Sonos speakers, 3 of which have voice, using Google. My wife and I each have Google Assistant and our own Spotify user profiles. For both of us, Google obeys commands for things such as turning on lights, and it recognizes each of us by name if we ask “Who am I”. However, it only works for me when asking for music. For my wife, it says it doesn’t understand. She successfully sends music to Sonos using her Spotify app, but using voice doesn’t work.Any suggestions?
Hello,Are Google Home routines supported using the Google Assistant on Sonos products? I was hoping to replace all of my Google Speakers with Sonos but when I say “Hey Google turn off the lights” (which is a custom Google Home routine it works though the Google devices but not Sonos devices.Thank you,Greg
I don’t think this is possible, but all the answers I find are from 3 years ago (which is depressing because it feels like an updated feature is never going to come). I don’t want to group any google speakers with my Sonos speakers. I just want to know if there is a way to say “Hey google play “song” on “my Sonos group”. “My Sonos Group” is one of several groupings I’ve built in the Sonos app. I know there is no way to group within the Home app itself, but is there no command that Google Assistant can’t send to Sonos to just play an already set up group?
Hello,I was wondering is it possible to use Google Assistant through SONOS in Poland? I’m preety sure it was available, before SONOS introduces its own assistant. The main issue is - can I use SONOS to control Google Home devices in Poland? If not, and the problem lies that the Google Assistant feature in SONOS is not available in Poland, can someone answers if SONOS is working on it ? Or when can it be introduced? I belive SONOS looses a lot becouse of this issue... I don't care about service in Polish, but it would be nice to have any Google Home service, since the product is adapted to it in other countries? Are there any other devices that I can add to my home system that will allow me to use Google Home/Assistant and SONOS without problems?
I’m using 2x Sonos One and Beam 2. All of them are using Wi-Fi 5GHz via the Unify AP. The apartment is small (<50 sqm) and the network is usually stable. All the devices are updated to their latest firmware versions. However, couple times a day when I say “Ok Google” or “Hey Google” the Sonos speakers immediately answer with “Sorry, there was a glitch”. Then if I repeat myself, assistant is able to process the query. What can I do to help you diagnose the problem? I’ve already submitted the diagnostic information via the app. Is there anything else I can do?
Hi,Using voice commands to start radio stations. Some are working and some that worked before is not. For example TalkSport - when I say play TalkSport speaker responds - playing TalkSport from TuneIN followed by - sorry, I could not play.See in forum that some others have had same problem, but could not see any fix.
I have SVC and Alexa enabled on my Arc, not Google Assistant. I do have a google home in the room as well and if I say “Hey, Google” or “OK, Google” the Arc will lower the volume. The volume does not go back on its own. Removing SVC didn’t fix this. Is there a fix for this?
Google Assistant on Sonos works great for me in almost al cases. There is, however, one case in which it doesn’t work that great. My favorite Radio Station is the Dutch station NPO Radio 2. If I ask Sonos “Hey Google, play Radio 2” it always starts the ‘wrong’ station Radio 2 UAE (via TuneIn). Even if I ask it more specifically, “Hey Google, play NPO Radio 2”, the same, wrong station is played. The NPO Radio 2 station is available (next to many other Radio 2 stations) via the Sonos Radio service.Question:Is there any way to play a particular radio station in case of such ambiguity?Or, on other words, is there a way to let the Sonos/Google system know that, when I ask to play radio 2, I want the system to play the particular Dutch radio station NPO Radio 2?
Hi all, I'm trying to activate voice match to my Sonos Beam unsuccessfully. It used to work before but it is not working anymore. Any commands issued by my wife google thinks came from me. I've deleted my home and started from scratch and I was able to see the Beam as a supported device for Personal information. However, only my google mini shows as a device for voice match. Anyone had a similar problem and was able to fix this? Thanks Rennan EDIT: Managed to fix it. I clicked on Add device with Voice Match. However, I was getting a weird error "No WiFi connection" as I was definitely connected to my WiFi. I decided to spam the Try again button and after a few tries the Sonos Beam was recognised. Don't know what is wrong with my account to constantly pop up the no WiFi message, but spamming the try again button did the trick over here.
