As I see multiple people in the community having issues with Google Home and GA connectivity, please Sonos get your stuff fixed. The status page states that the google services are up and running but they are not.I have rebooted every device, router, phone, made sure that every piece of software is up to date and I still can not connect to GA or Google home.System diagnostics code *******. This really makes me wonder combined with the app issues over the last year if Sonos is still worth buying as the usability of the platform has been going downhill. Moderator edit: Diagnostic number recorded and removed
Using the google assistant for years on my one, we bought a beam gen2after trying the assistent on the beam we want to switch back to the one. Deleted the assistant but not able (on beam or one) to add it.after pressing in sonos app, add google assistant, we get redirected to assistant app (iphone or ipad tried several). After a few steps it ask for credentials sonos, we get the login page, login, then is says adding but stop halfway…. See picture
I’m a proud owner of the Sonos Beam (Gen 2), and I absolutely love the sound quality and the overall experience. However, I can’t help but feel frustrated that Google Assistant/Home integration is not available in Israel. This is such a widely used feature globally, and it’s disappointing that Sonos, a leader in smart home audio, doesn’t offer support for it in my region. What’s even more frustrating is that other major brands in the smart home and audio space have no problem supporting Google Assistant here. For Sonos, a company I deeply respect, it feels like a real gap—and one that I believe could be fixed with enough community support and feedback.I know this issue isn’t limited to Israel. If you’re from another country where Google Assistant isn’t supported on Sonos, I encourage you to join this discussion. Let’s bring attention to this issue together and urge the Sonos Engineers and Product Managers to expand Google Assistant support to more regions.Sonos, your products are fantas
I have just purchased Sono Beam Gen 2 two days ago from a retailer in the United Kingdom. I have been trying to add Google assistant to my speaker for hours and what I got from the Google Home app is Sonos is linked … and then something went wrong please try again…I have chosen Sonos because of its compatibility with Google Home. If this is an ongoing/existing issue, the product should not be or never be advertised as compatible with Google Home. Can someone tell me or confirm if Sonos is violating any consumer law and it provides false information? Last who can I reach out to for a product refund? Retailer said only accept a return with unused/resalable condition..and the packaging of Sonos obviously wouldn’t allow the product to be unused… Sonos team would you advise please??
How to stop sonos using Tunein via Google Assistant? Moderator Edit: Adjusted thread context and title.
Voice control and smart home > Google Assistant and Sonos > Enable both Alexa and Google Assistant I found another thread, locked 4 years ago, asking the exact same thing, no answer them either. Back then someone mentioned that Google and Alexa with others had a partnership now to allow smooth seamless integration across multiple devices and should be with Sonos soon.. That was 4 years ago. I have many smart home devices, all of which are linked to both my Alexa and Google voice assistants at the same time, and yet, my Sonos speakers are still incapable. I had to reinstall my Sonos app today in a troubleshooting effort with Sonos support because the most recent update ( it's November 2024 as I write) has failed to include the lock screen controls as well as failing to include the notification ( drop down) controls so you can only control the devices through the app if you have the app fully open and taking up your whole screen. As I was checking the settings in the re-installed a
I’ve used Google Assistant to control Pandora (default service) playback on Sonos amps for years with no real issues. So when I asked google assistant to “Play Led Zeppelin Radio”, Sonos played a Pandora classic rock radio station based on the music of Led Zeppelin. All was good in the world 😀However, in the last few weeks this capability is broken. Now when I tell google “Play Led Zeppelin Radio” what I get is a queue filled with some songs by Led Zeppelin and other random unrelated songs with the words “Led Zeppelin” in the song title from every genre possible. See the attached image. The command works properly when the google device is not connected to a sonos speaker.EDIT - More Info: I have the same issue on Sonos Arc (built-in google assistant). The problem goes away if I change the default music speaker of the google mini to itself (i.e. disconnect the mini from Sonos). But the problem returns when I make a sonos speaker the default player for the google mini. Wha
When Move has been updated it can not understand command’s from Google anymore. When I use One I just say (in Swedish) Hey google, play P4 - which is the radio station I normally listen to. Move will not understand. Keeps asking for which unit. There is only one system I have. Speakers are on different floors, so they can not over hear commands. Any idea why this lack of understanding has been introduced? Why not the same commands work the same on all products?
I use Google assistant to launch spotify contents on Sonos One.Assistant voice correctly repetes what I asked to play on Sonos, but nothing happens. The problem has appeared randomly. I try to reset everything but still not working
I have been having issues controlling my Sonos system via Google assistant. I decided to unlink and readd Sonos to Google home. When doing so, I am presented with two identical systems, with no way to disringuish one from the other.I only have 4 speakers all under one system, so don't understand why two show. Oddly, if I select one it only adds two devices. If I unlink and try with the other, it only adds the other two devices. Anyone have ideas on what the hell is happening here? ThanksEds
I've just bought a beam gen 2 and set up the google assistant but when I ask it to play music it tells me "sorry it looks like you have not set up your account on this media service provider yet"Spotify works if I connect through the Spotify app. Can anyone help?
I am really disappointed the new Sonos speakers no longer include Google Assistant integration. It seems the legal battle about patents got so bad new products no longer include Google Assistant. I had a Roam die and they sent me the new version that does not include Google Assistant. I need home controls in addition to music control. So Sonos voice is really sub par. I hope Google Assistant integration comes back.
Hi CommunityI am using Beam which is connected vie ARC to my Sony Bravia VH21 (Google TV OS) and Google Home for my smart-home (both Sonos and the TV connected to Google Home). In the Google Home app, I can see two devices for Beam:Sonos Beam - works well. Sonos Beam TV Control - it constantly appears as offline. In the past, it used to be in online status, which I could use to switch-on the TV (via ARC). I have been trying to fix this and search for articles about the problem but can’t find anything. Can anyone share advise on how use Beam and ARC connection in order to switch on the TV?Many thanks
I have a Sonos One and Sonos Arc, both with Google Assistant set up on themPrior to about a few months ago, I could ask Google on either Sonos system “What’s in the news?” and it would play my chosen news source (WSJ)Now, when I ask Google on either Sonos Device, it says “Sure now playing the news!” as expected, but immediately jumps to “That’s all for now” without playing the news audio in between. This implies the command is being received and parsed, but something is wrong with receiving the audio stream for the news itself. Why this is a Sonos problem and not a Google Problem:I also have a Google Nest Audio on the same network, that when I ask it the above, will properly play the news. This confirms its not a home network issue, and not a Google issue, as the Google Assistant on this device as well as my iPhone can properly perform this task. How do I fix this problem?
How do I get the chime active on my Move when using google assistant, once I wake it up saying ‘ hey google’ thanks
I have a Spotify Premium family plan and have multiple Spotify accounts linked to Sonos. I also have Google Assistant linked to each of those accounts and Voice Match set up. It all works fine except for my wife; every time she asks the Sonos speaker to play music, the speaker responds saying something like “got it, playing blah blah blah on Spotify” and then: Sorry, it looks like Spotify Premium isn’t currently available. Please try again later. This does NOT occur with Google speakers in the home. When she asks the Sonos speaker “who am I” it tells her her name just fine, so I know Voice Match is working. And I can ask it myself to play music without a problem.I’ve tried:factory reset speaker unlink and re-link Spotify from Sonos unlink the Sonos speaker from Google and re-link it remove Google and Sonos permissions from Spotify in the web UI and relinking everything doing all of the above but with an Android device instead of iOS checking to make sure there’s only one Google Home ch
I followed all the destructions without any result.I have a Beam and two Ones.Prior to adding the beam, the Ones were paired with voice asst active on both Ones. After grouping them, NONE of the mic buttons will respond to touch, even when separated.Factory reset twice...Power cycled the Beam numerous times.Any ideas?Moderator edit: removed picture with serial numbers
The latest Sonos App Update has removed my Google Assistant.I have tried deleting unlinking Sonos Beam and re-adding it. When trying to add Google Assistant to Sonos Beam, Google Assistant looks for Devices. Most times it does not find any device, occasionally it finds the Sonos Beam and then fails to add Google Assistant! Going round in circles! Help please!!The Sonos App Info is Build 80.03.06-release+20240613.b0fbafe42 (and has the latest update). I can confirm the Google Assistant has access to my Sonos Account.I can confirm that the Sonos Firmware is up to date.I can confirm that both Sonos and Google Assistant are on the same Network and the Network is stable. The Sonos Beam works with the TV and it works with third party music App and Google Assistant worked perfectly before the major Sonos App update. I have unlinked the Sonos Beam from Google Assistant and re-linked it. Currently get message via G Assitant that says 'No Device Found'; occasionally G Assistant finds th
I’ve purchased a Sonos Roam 2 - love the device, but getting it set up has been an utter pain. I’ve managed to get through the setup eventually, but the one item I can never get working is the addition of any voice control system. Every time I try to add one, the Sonos App goes into a long pause, and eventually tells me to make sure my mobile device is connected to WiFi.I can confirm my app is the latest version, my phone is connected to the same wifi on the same freq as the Roam, and that the Roam has good signal. Even trying to link via Google Home does not work.Anyone got any ideas on how I can get this to function? I’ve rebooted the speaker and the phone, still can’t get anything to work.
Is there any updates on Google Assistant for sonos arc in Malaysia. The last posting has been 3 years ago. Thks.
I’m using google assistant on my Arc. Often the microphone will activate by itself and the LED on the arc will light up except I haven’t said “hey google” or “okay google” and nothing resembling these words have been spoken.I’ve tried reinstalling Google voice assistant and even tried moving the soundbar away from the TV as this had been suggested at some point. This has been an issue ever since I bought the unit November 2022
The Google assistant has started to say that it has problems connecting to the internet. Sometimes it works after some retries.I’ve tried to reconnect the sonos one to the wifi multiple times and I’ve also restarted the router which is located just a couple of meters away (wifi). A month of two ago this was never a problem so I don’t understand where it came from. Anyone know if there’s anything that can be done?
Cannot set up GA on my Sonos One. No devices found. I have done all the usual recommendations but still no luck. It has worked previously before, but not anymore. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Tks, Lorcan
I’m trying to play the FIP radio station, which was previously included in TuneIn, but now all Radio France stations live within their own app/service, which is great news as it removes all the trashy ads, but I can’t figure out the voice commands I can use with my Google Home to initiate playback of FIP. It keeps trying to use TuneIn and fails. Any advice would be appreciated!
Every time i ask google assistant on sonos one (Gen 2) to play music it says apple music is not supported. How can i fix this? I am logged into apple music (with an active subscription) on both google and sonsos.
