I have been having issues controlling my Sonos system via Google assistant.

I decided to unlink and readd Sonos to Google home.

When doing so, I am presented with two identical systems, with no way to disringuish one from the other.

I only have 4 speakers all under one system, so don't understand why two show.

Oddly, if I select one it only adds two devices. If I unlink and try with the other, it only adds the other two devices.

Anyone have ideas on what the hell is happening here?

Thanks

Eds

Exactly the same issue here. Sonos app shows just one system (with all my Sonos devices in it), but when linking Sonos to Google Home it is showing 2 systems with devices split between them.

I recently changed my router, so maybe that's related.

I've been told by Sonos support this is a known issue, and I should check every couple of weeks to see if the latest software release resolves the issue 😑

What network setup do you have now out of interest?

I have a single subnet, so everything is on the same network, but I have one Sonos device wired and the others are on WiFi. I put everything on WiFi, rebooted all sonos device and now I see just one system with all devices in it as expected.

Interesting, two of mine are wired and two are on WiFi. I think this means I am in a SonosNet configuration.

Can Sonos support comment on this issue and advise if perhaps this issue only affects SonosNet setups or when you have a mix of wired and wireless?

I will try moving mine to all wireless and see if it also resolves my issue

All on WiFi has not solved my issue :(

Google has problems with duplicating devices.

I created another home and moved duplicates in there so they are hidden away.

I think my issue is different;

I actually see Sonos present me with two systems to add, but when I select either, only half my devices are added, I don’t end up with duplicates in Google Home

Check on play.sonos.com, you should only have one system and all devices should show in it. Those that do not need powering off and on.

I created another by mistake. Switching playbar off/on solved it, i guess when it came back online sonos server realises it cannot be in 2 homes or systems at same time.

Yeah I see two systems there also!

Again, I believe this issue is known to Sonos, as I was told to await a software update containing a fix. No ETA however.

I think my playbar was in 2 systems, turning power off/on removed it and i only hen had 1 system with everything in. So try turning stuff off and on again. Maybe sonos servers do a logic check as a device can’t be in 2 systems and when it reconnects to your home it removes it from the other.

Sonos support did have me try this, sadly to no avail.

I will try it again, but do not expect it will work.

Many thanks
