Is anyone else ready to toss their Sonos in the trash after the app updates and google assistant not working? I tell google to play music on Spotify, it will play but when I tell it to pause or adjust the volume, it will say “Nothing is currently playing.” When I start the music, it won’t resume the volume level from when it was previously used. I know it’s a “luxury” to have these items, but the only reason I bought them was because they were compatible with google assistant. I have tried everything to get it to work. Google voice assistant is linked to both speakers, everything is “good” in terms of it being connected, it just doesn’t work. If anyone has tips, greatly appreciated.
I was looking for instructions as to how to use my Sonos speaks as my Nest Doorbell chime but didn’t find anything that explained how to do it. After various searches, I found bits and pieces of how to get my Nest Doorbell to announce over my Sonos system. The important point is that it can be done and it does work. There are a number of steps and I’m not sure which are required, but here’s what I did: From Google Home app, add Sonos to Services. Go to Settings screen. Select “works with Google” under services. From Google Home App, go to Settings and select the Nest Doorbell. Click on Doorbell and in the Features section, make sure that Visitor Announcements is active. From Sonos app, go to Settings screen and click “Manage”. Find “Voice Assistants” and add Google Assistant. Once added, click on Google Assistant and click “add to another product”. Add the Sonos speakers you want to announce. From Sonos app, go to Settings screen and click on your target Sonos device. Scroll to
The sonos roam does not seem to let you ask Google to play a song on Spotify. It says it will play song and then doesn’t. it does work how we on the Sonos Beam. is there a fix coming for this issue with Roam?
Google assistent kan niet meer toegevoegd worden op de beam 2. Ook de microfoon gaat niet meer aan Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Google Assistant can no longer be added to the beam 2. The microphone also no longer turns on
I think I have a weird one. I have 2 Sono speaks, 2 Google hubs, and on Google mini speaker. When I state the command hey google broadcast / make an announcement. Only my Google device play the broadcast / announcement, none of the Sonos speaker.Try troubleshooting this issue for a month and got nowhere. So if anybody knows what settings I need to configure or what I need to do please let me know. I really like this Google feature
Sonos arc keeps turning sonos arc mic on and off mute. No ambient noise. Could this be a firmware issue? I’m using it with google assistant. I have it set up with two era 300s as surrounds. thanks!
Hi Sonos Community,I'm hoping you can help with a challenge we're facing in our home.We want to play music via Spotify using Google Assistant as voice control in multiple rooms simultaneously on our Sonos system. Unfortunately, we've discovered that a single Spotify account can only play music in one place at a time. This limits our ability to enjoy music in different rooms simultaneously.Does anyone have a solution or suggestions on how we can work around this issue? We're considering the possibility of using multiple Spotify accounts, but we're not sure if that's the best approach. We would greatly appreciate any expertise and guidance you can provide.Thank you in advance for your help.
Just wondering if anyone else has recently lost the Google Assistant on one of their Sonos Speakers? I have had Google Assistant enabled on two Sonos One speakers in different rooms for about 3 years. Sometime in the past week it stopped working. Also the microphone button on the top of each speaker appears to be disabled. I cannot get the microphone to turn on. Yesterday I used the Sonos Windows App on my laptop to successfully update all of my speakers firmware, thankfully with no errors. However even after this fir ware update and cycling the power to each of the Sonos One's that had the Google Assistant enabled, I cannot get the microphone to turn on?
Hi all,I am trying to add Google Assistant to a Sonos One SL and I keep getting the following error:One or more products in your system are offline. Make sure all your products are powered on and connected to Wi-Fi, Obviously they are all connected to Wifi and I have messed around with various settings with no luck. Any ideas??
Nearly two weeks ago from evening to next morning my Google assistant stopped working and impossible to add it again. I’ve rebooted sonos, unplugged and plugged back my router, it’s linked to the speaker via google assist but I keep getting message “no devices founds - make sure that your wifi is on and that your ihone and assistant devices are on the same network then try again”. Wifi is on, devices are on same network - i hadnt touched or changed anything in the time it stopped working. Am not sure what else can do so please advise. I tried calling customer support to find i was number 70 in the queue. You don't monitor your email support anymore so no way of getting in touch with a human being which is incredibly frustrating.
Hi everyone,I'm based in the UK and had Google Assistant running smoothly on my Sonos One until last week. I decided to switch to Alexa temporarily and update the Sonos app. However, I couldn't get Alexa to work satisfactorily, so I tried to revert back to Google Assistant. Since then, I've been unable to re-enable Google Assistant. Despite several attempts at resetting the app, rebooting the device, and trying again, I keep encountering the error message: "Google Assistant is not available in your country."This is puzzling because Google Assistant was working fine before, and according to the Sonos support page https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/google-assistant-availability-on-sonos), it is available in the UK. It feels like Sonos is blocking me from using either Google Assistant or Alexa now. I’m concerned that this might be an issue to push for upgrades, which I’m not willing to do after this experience. Has anyone else faced this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it? Any hel
I recently bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with the hope of having the TV connected to it and using it as a Spotify Connect speaker. It’s been working fine until I tried to enable the Google Voice Assistant. In their app, I start the process, but then the Google Assistant app opens and says no devices found.I have the latest Sonos iOS app and the latest Google Assistant app. The mic button doesn’t do anything when I press it, and in the app, the mic shows as “Disabled.”I’ve already tried to re-pair and re-add it to my account, restarted my router, and restarted the Beam itself. I have plenty of other devices that can be added to Google Assistant without any issues. It’s just this Beam.I also have a Sonos One that has no issue connecting to Google Assistant. I’ve reinstalled the One multiple times just to ensure it works properly.I contacted customer service and explained the issue. The representative claimed that there was an issue with Google Assistant and that no devices could be set up wi
Why does my speaker delay the music resuming after asking for the volume to be turned up/down for approx 30 seconds or when I ask for next track I miss the start of song as the sound is delayed for again 30 seconds I use Google assistant as my voice assistant on the arc
I have a few recurring issues with google voice and my Sonos ones. Either when I ask to play a radio station the response is OK playing xxx radio station. Sorry I can’t find what you asked for. Or sometimes when I ask to play artist name I get Sorry I can’t do that here but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices. And sometimes this commands work… wondering if Alexa might be more helpful? We use Google WiFi and have a WiFi point in the neighbouring room to one of the Sonos ones and I wondered if this might cause something funky to happen as I don’t think this was a problem until I upgraded the WiFi points and now have one which is voice enabled. Can anyone help? Please!
I've encountered an odd issue. Using Google assistant I've set up a routine where by when I say goodnight my lights and tv power off. The odd part is that when the earc connected tv turns off the Sonos status light turns on. (yes I have it toggled off in the app) to turn it off I have to touch either volume up or down. It's not a big deal I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced it.
I've recently set my Sonos One Gen 2 as default speaker to my Google Nest 2nd Gen, without any issues and playing music though Spotify is fine but I can't stop it by voice command, can anyones help?

Hi there,Over a year has passed and Google Assistant is still not available in Poland... I dont understand the reason behind this. It is not that Google doesnt support this in Poland, since it is working very good on other devidces. When Google Assistant feature will be available in Poland ? Is there anything happening to make it work ?Alexa is available, but frankly speaking its a mess… But please dont reply with availability lists and that its a Google problem, not Sonos. I realy dont think it's a Google problem... Or maybe someone has a way to make it work ]:→ ?
Asking this again. It has been years now. When will you get sounds working on Google assistant on Sonos? It is clearly Sonos' responsibility more than the BBC or Google to fix this. I end up listening to BBC on my crappy Google home devices when I have an expensive Sonos system sitting next to them. Sort it out please! Not buying Sonos again.
I cant add the assistant on my Beam.It stopped working couple of weeks ago.Anyone who has a solution?
I have 3 rooms with Sonos speakers with voice control About when the new update came the voice control has no function. It is not possible to activate and deactivate on units with touchAnyone with same experiences?
Moderator Edit: Google Translate- Good morning,I have a Beam Gen 2 sound bar, supported by 2 Era 100s which are configured in Surround.I would like to install my Google voice assistant on the Beam Gen 2: impossible. The speakers are up to date, the applications too (iOS), they are all on the
