Recently got the Beam Gen 2 and couldn’t be happier...until I tried playing Spotify via Google Assistant voice command. Every time I say “Hey Google, play XXXXX on Spotify”, it just says “Ok, playing XXXXX on Spotify. Sorry, Spotify Premium isn’t currently available.” Have tried everything, including the following steps:Unlinked and relinked everything multiple times — Sonos app, GA and Google Home. Ensured voice integration is sorted — all other GA commands work fine. Spotify set to preferred music streaming on Sonos app and GA. Checked that it’s indeed Spotify Premium account. Even created a new dummy account from a free Spotify Family plan.Any advice?
Bonjour, la nouvelle application Sonos ne marche pas du tout . Ne prend pas Google Assistant, se trompe sur les radios demandées ,répond à côté de la question.Que faire ?? Merci de votre réponse. Moderator edit:Google Translate- Hello, the new Sonos application does not work at all. Doesn't support Google Assistant, gets the requested radios wrong, answers next to the question. What to do ?? Thank you for your reply.
HiI read that Google Assistant will be remplaced by Google with Gemini, the “chat-gpt” of Google. Will Sonos will replace Google Assistant by Gemini on Sonos One ? Thanks
I listen to my music through Sonos speakers and use Google assistant on hubs to voice control these.Up until this week BBC radio was available on TuneIn the radio app which Sonos used to radio stations. This now doesn't work which is fine as it advised I linked BBC sounds . I can listen to the BBC through the Sonos app all good. Problem is if I ask assistant to play BBC radio 1 on sonos the reply is " playing BBC radio 1 from tune in " this results in silence . I've deleted TuneIn from Sonos and it's still doing it. Even if I use the command "play BBC radio 1 from BBC" it either doesn't understand or just gives the same playing from TuneIn reply. It also does it for all stations like radio X or heart . What command can I use or change stop assistant using TuneIn ?Thanks sarah
Danke. Gruss aus Ulm.Joste Moderator edit:Google Translate- I am a new member here and now own some components. From the Play One that I started with to the Beam.I have been managing all of my components with the Sonos app for years. So far I've been very satisfied. Now with the new black app everything responds very slowly. Getting used to new things is not my problem. My request is that the developers please revise it so that the app shines in its new, old glory. Thanks. Greetings from Ulm.Joste
My Google Nest works fine, responding to my voice. My Sonos works fine and has an Alexa Dot attached to it. I am trying to make my Google Nest play/respond through my Sonos system. Due to the age of my devices, I am running the Sonos S1 Controller on my Android. When I choose Services and Voice and under Voice select Add a Service, I am given a choice to select Google Assistant. However, when clicking Add Google Assistant, nothing happens. Sonos has been added in the Google Assistant app directly. Suggestions?
I cannot conect my Sonos Era 100 with my google home. They writed: not supported in czech republic. Can help me?
Hi All, I have a Sonos beam and I use Google assistant. I would like to get the assistant to not repeat the command or describe what it is doing. For example if I say “Hey Google, turn out all the lights” it will say “Alright, turning off all the lights” and also do the command. Is there anyway for it to do just the command and not talkback and say “Alright turning off all lights” My partner is going crazy and to be honest I find it a little annoying as well. Depending on what sound level it's on it's either extremely loud or very soft. Any help would be much appreciated.
Several months ago Google Assistant started responding “I didn’t understand” to commands in Google automation routines that were supposed to announce something on the initiating Sonos speaker. This bug is still present and I don’t think it was ever acknowledged or addressed by Sonos or Google. Only Sonos speakers are affected - all other Google Assistant speakers continue to perform this action just fine. Fortunately there was a workaround in the case of routines that are only ever used on the Sonos speaker: modify the routine to always make the announcement specifically on the Sonos speaker rather than “on the initiating speaker”.Today things got worse. Google Assistant on Sonos has started responding “I didn’t understand” even when the announcement in the routine is specifically sent to the Sonos speaker.I guess this is the next step in Google trying to put the screws to Sonos and Sonos trying to abandon Google Assistant?
My Soundbar Beam Gen. 2 is registered with my account. I checked on the Sonos Website.Bug occurs in the Android 14 app (Google Pixel 8).See Screenshot:
I got my first Sonos today and when setting it up i I am having some problems with adding Google Assistant. I’m following the guide by Sonos, and when I’m on the page where you add music services or voice assistant, the only options to choose from under ”voice” is Alexa or Sonos voice control.Am i doing something wrong? I’ve looked trough the entire Sonos app, Google assistant and home app and have been googling for an hour now.
I just bought Sonos One and trying setup google assistant on my android phone using S2 updateI did following steps:Start connecting to google assistant when google device wizard appears (sometimes it dont) it redirect me to sonos site which promts me information about how can i open settings when I am pressing continue, I am seeing message that my speaker was not registered in my sonos account When i am checking my web account page, it clearly shows me date when my device has been registered. I cannot register it manually again. I am stuck at this stepI am hoping to find help here, i checked other similar topics they seems like had different issues
For the past few months, I’ve been able to start playing music using Google Voice commands on my Sonos One, however, I’m unable to stop playing music once it begins playing. I ask Google Assistant to stop playing and it replies, “Nothing is playing right now.” Funny enough, I can ask it what song is playing, and it will provide that information. I unlinked Spotify from my Sonos app and Google Assistant app. I also unlinked Sonos from the Google Home app. I then reset my Sonos One and configured everything from scratch, however, no luck. I submit diagnostics to Sonos, but they said they don’t see anything wrong. The only thing that works to stop playing music is ending the session from the Spotify app or the Sonos app. This is frustrating - just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
I have just bought a beam gen 2. I’m trying to setup the Google assistant but it seems to just loop in circles saying I need to “register your speakers” I have everything on my Google and Sonos account correct so is there something I’m missing?
I have an Arc in my “TV room” and a pair of One’s (R + L) in my “Kitchen”. In the Sonos app, these are in rooms with these names. With Alexa, I was able to speak to any speaker in either room. However, I’m trying to switch to Google Assistant and appear to be able to only speak to one speaker (currently the right one in the kitchen). When I try to add GA to the Arc via the Sonos app, it recognises the Arc but when I click “Open Google Assistant App”, it says “There was a problem adding Google Assistant”. I’ve got the latest Sonos, Google Home and Google Assistant Apps. I’ve tried linking and unlinking in Sonos and Google Home. In Google home, I can see the Sonos speakers in their respective rooms. I can ask GA on the kitchen speaker to play music in the TV room and it works. I just can’t add GA to the Arc so I have to shout to the speaker in the kitchen. Is this normal (i.e. a limitation) or am I missing something ? I don’t want to add a separate Google device as I would expect
Hey everyone, I have a new Sonos One that works great aside from this issue I am having with Google Home/Assistant integration. When I try to broadcast a message to the Sonos One located in the bedroom (either through the Assistant app or via voice command to my Google Nest Mini, which is in a different room), I get an error that there is “nothing named X in your account”, or something to that effect, so the message is unable to be broadcast. This happens regardless of whether I try to broadcast to the room (“Main Bedroom”) or to the device itself (“Main Bedroom speaker”), confirming the exact name of the room and speaker, respectively. Other Assistant features seem to be working fine; for instance, I can make commands from the Sonos One using “Hey Google” and play music on the Sonos One with a voice command from the Nest Mini. There are several old threads on this issue, all of which seem to point to this sequence in the Sonos app as a solution: Settings>Room Settings>(Select R
Today I removed connection to Sonos from the Google Home app (I have 9 speakers). I added it again in the Google Home app and it all worked. At this point i noticed that a few of my speakers had Google assistant missing. I tried to add it from the Sonos app, and it did not work. I decided to remove the connection from Google Home app and re-add it, and this failed with the following error message: "Register your speakersYou need to link speakers to your myemail@hotmail.com Sonos account before you can add this skill.Go to More > Settings > Account Settings in the Sonos app. (If you don't see Sonos Account, your Sonos system needs an update.)" I have the system working with all the speakers and thet seem registered on the Sonos webpage.I have tried everything. Rebooted my network totally, rebooted my sonos system, deleted and re-created my home in Google home, but it all results in the same error. The Sonos tech support guy in the chat told me to remove all Sonos devices from Goog
I have two IKEA Symfonisk, and I am trying to connect them to my Google Home. When I try to connect them, Google Home sends me to the Sonos website to log in. Then I get a message that I need to connect the speakers to my account, even though the speaker system is already on my account, and I am logged in on the Sonos app When I try to move on from this page, I get a new message saying I need to update the Sonos app, but then I am stuck because the app is already fully updated. If I click the update button, it opens the Sonos app and nothing else happens.I tried reaching out to customer support, but they were unable to help me.Anyone know how to fix this?
Trying to use voice commands thru the google home mini (gen1) to my pair of One SL's. Can't get the Sonos App to see the Google Home Mini. From the Google Assistant app I am able to link the Sonos speaker, names also match. Sonos "add a third party smart..." link simply opens the quick help instructions. Youtube Music on Sonos app and Google Assistant app are both logged in but all voice commands just play music on the Google Home Mini itself. After endless fiddling I was able to use the Google Home app manual up/down, play, pause buttons to control the Sonos but no voice commands seem to work. TIA!
Hello,I have an issue with Google Assistant, it worked really well in the past but now, when I try to link my account, I have the error message “You need to link speakers to your Sonos account”. I already have my speakers linked to my account. I tried to reset all my system (Beam 2 + Sub Mini) and deleted all apps (Sonos, Google Home, Google Assistant) and reinstall these but nothing work. Could you help me with that ? Thank you,
I am trying to setup google assistant on my Living Room setup (Beam +2xOne) and my move and always get the same Error message in the Sonos App: “There was a problem adding Google Assistant”. Initially it was working in the living room, but in the process of figuring out where the problem is I destroyed the link somehow. I did remove the sonos devices from google home and tried again, i restarted the systems… just dont know what else i can try. Christoph
