I’m a proud owner of the Sonos Beam (Gen 2), and I absolutely love the sound quality and the overall experience. However, I can’t help but feel frustrated that Google Assistant/Home integration is not available in Israel. This is such a widely used feature globally, and it’s disappointing that Sonos, a leader in smart home audio, doesn’t offer support for it in my region.

What’s even more frustrating is that other major brands in the smart home and audio space have no problem supporting Google Assistant here. For Sonos, a company I deeply respect, it feels like a real gap—and one that I believe could be fixed with enough community support and feedback.

I know this issue isn’t limited to Israel. If you’re from another country where Google Assistant isn’t supported on Sonos, I encourage you to join this discussion. Let’s bring attention to this issue together and urge the Sonos Engineers and Product Managers to expand Google Assistant support to more regions.

Sonos, your products are fantastic, but this limitation is holding back the full potential of your ecosystem for many of us. Please make this a priority in your future updates!

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts. Let’s make our voices heard!

This has stemmed from the infringement case Sonos had against Google:

Google needs to give Sonos legal authorization to allow them to use the Google Assistant in your location. You should also be petitioning Google, who doesn’t maintain a presence in these forums, to my knowledge.

It seems to be an issue between Sonos and Google. Google Assistant is officially supported on many products here, so it doesn’t appear to be about petitioning Google. Instead, it might be a matter of politely bringing this to Sonos' attention so they can address the issue.

Additionally, it seems Sonos hasn’t implemented the latest Google Home API, which is causing Sonos devices to fail when being added to Google Home, even in supported countries.
