I have google voice set up on my Sonos Beam and it has started saying “Sorry I don’t I understand” randomly even when muted. I have no idea why this is happening, The fact that it’s happening even with the thing is muted is the really weird part. Also it happens mostly at night which is a problem since its in my bedroom! Any advice on how I might fix this?
I have read through the community and tried multiple things, but no luck so fare with paring Sonos One to Google Assistant. I have tried with both iPhone and iPad. The process stops once the Sonos App “calls” the Google Assistant app and i have chosen “Next” - “This may take a minute or two” after a few minutes the Google Assistant app just returns this error: “There may be a problem”I have tried the following: Deleted the sonos app. Deleted the Google Assistant app. I have reset the Sonos One speaker and added it to the system again.Still no luck.
I am trying to add Google Assistant to Sonos. Each time I try to do so, the Google Assistant app says that no devices are found. I've reset my router factory reset my Sonos one with no luck.
Hi Everyone Is there a way to stop Google being so vocal when it replies to commands like turning off the lights? On my Google home device it just chimes but on my Sonos One it replies with some thing like. "OK turning off three lights". All the devices are in the same room. Thanks Ryan
When is Sonos going to keep up with Google Assistant and support other countries.I am an English speaker and live in Malaysia. Google Assistant is available here but does not show up on the Sonos supported countries list - when will this be addressed please.B.
Just received my Move today and I use Google Assistant. I was able to get music playing (YouTube Premium) but when I asked for next song, turn volume up etc I was ignored. This looks like a common problem. Any solutions?
I am trying to find out if there is a way I can get Google assistant to work in a country not available yet?I am in the Cayman Islands and we should fall under UK or US settings but Sonos does not group us that way. Is there any way I can get it to work as the assistant works on all my other devices except Sonos. Thanks
I just bought sonos one gen2, i can not connect to google assistant.it said not avaiable in my country, why? Also my mic can not turn on or off thanks
I have a 5 zone SONOS system and I am not a YouTube music user and do not intend to be one. Too damn many subscriptions already. And the app is terrible for accessing the 10,000 songs I have on the SD card in my phone. However, I AM interested in casting the music from YouTube videos to SONOS, and ideally, have the music go to SONOS speakers and the video go to my TV. There are thousands of great YouTube music videos that I want to watch and listen to via SONOS.The real problem here is obvious. It’s a battle between David (SONOS) and Goliath (Google) for domination in the streaming music business (both on-premise and via the web).Sonos is a good size company and they are a pioneer in high quality whole house synced music streaming….but we all know how this is going to go. Google is already winning the protocol battle and SONOS will be forced to add that to their system (for a price of course).Non-Google apps and streaming services could choose to support SONOS and Google Cast but o
Hi, I saw the announcement of Google Assistant in Singapore - when will it be rolled out to Malaysia?
I turned on continued conversation yesterday after setting up Google Assistant on my three speakers (Beam and two Sonos One). I didn’t like it so decided to turn it off but realized today that the speakers are still listening after my initial command. I tried toggling the continued conversation setting in both the Google Home and Google Assistant apps on my iPhone (iOS 14.3) but nothing has worked. I tried leaving the toggle on for a few minutes and then turning back off but all three still give a second ping and listen after the first command. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to solve it?This is annoying but also gives me major privacy concerns since at least this feature is listed as “off” in Google’s apps but is actually still running on the devices!!!
Hi,Is there a solution to have Google Assistant stop announcing which playlist or song is going to be played via Spotify using my Sonos speakers? I like to have the music start without Google Assistance actually announcing it first. Thanks for your input.
is there a workaround in making voice assistant available? it says not available in your region. this is disappointing. i have an echo show and alexa is available. is there a workaround on this? i live in the philippines. without this voice assistant it’s just another ordinary speaker. for the price i paid i expected this to be available.
Is it possible? If yes, how?My Samsung TV Is the type UE48J6302.BestLuca Leoni
Any tips? The whole "hey google, turn bathroom volume down to 10p" makes no sense? The music you're listening to then turns down to 10p? What am I missing?
Hi there!I have a Google Assistant related issue--my Sonos System (Arc, Sub+Move) is linked to Google Assistant and everything worked perfectly fine so far. A few days ago I had to restart all devices as they were not found in the Sonos App. Google Assistant is still linked to my Sonos Move but does not work any longer (Assistant is not available). The Arc has no Google Assistant linked any longer and is also not found when I try to locate it both over the Google Home and Sonos App. Thanks for your help! As I did not change anything and it stopped working I guess this is related to the latest Software Update?!Btw I have also sent a diagnostic report with ID 257824096. Maybe you can see what went wrong. Thanks!
Hi, Just got a Google Home for Xmas and am trying to add my sonos speaker to it. I’ve enabled the Google Assistant in the Sonos App however now when I go into either Google Home or Google Assistant app, each speaker is listed twice and I can’t seem to delete just one of them. Any one else experienced this before
Looking for feedback on everyone else’s experience with the responsiveness of their Google Assistant on Sonos devices. I got the Sonos One with Google assistant so I can use it with my other Google nest devices, but the GA on the Sonos, is terrible. Home routines can only be started on my actual Google devices and has terrible responsiveness to commands connecting to other devices such as Google chrome, glitchy Spotify commands, will activate YouTube when asking it to resume play on the TV after successfully “pausing” the TV. The GA on the Sonos is really more frustrating than it is useful. I’ve also discovered that you can’t start home routines on the GA Sonos device either. Should have gotten the Sonos without the Google assistant had I known how terrible it would be.
Hi,My Sonos/Google Assistant has suddenly switched from talking English to Dutch today. I can’t think what caused this except it happened around the time I factory reset my old phone. Anyway, Sonos and Google is setup correctly on my new (Pixel) phone and all language settings I can see both on Google and Sonos account are set to English. I’ve tried relinking the Assistant on Sonos and it keeps defaulting to Dutch. I’m at a bit of a loss what to do here, any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Matt
Just set up new Sonos One with Google assistant. The Sonos controller works and I can stream radio/music through the Sonos One. If I speak to the Sonos, the music goes quiet so the microphone hears me saying 'ok google', however I get no response from Google. If I speak with my Google Assistant mobile device active, then Google response does come from the Sonos. Any ideas Guys? Thanks DD
Can I make tunein my default radio service on Google home. Now if I ask to play BBC it defaults to I-Heart Radio. I have to specify BBC channel, on tunein, on Sonos, in room. I might as well just do it manually
I have tried to add Google Assistant to my Sonos One’s, but it gets stuck trying to link the account in the mobile ios app. I used to be able to set it up easily, but it is no longer the case. I switched to Alexa for a time, but I would now like to go back to using google on my Sonos speakers. It appears the Sonos app will no longer directly communicate with the Google assistant app when trying to set up the voice assistant. It will link over to the app store to open the app, but never affects any change to the google assistant app when you open it. Meanwhile, the sonos app gets stuck in an endless loop waiting for authorization and finally times out and gives an error message: “There was a problem adding Google Assistant” with an option to “Try again”. I can link the Sonos speakers directly in the Google Assistant app, but Sonos does not seem to recognize it. I have tried every combination of work arounds I can think of, linking and unlinking, but it currently will not add. I r
I recently changed routers which required me to re-set up the Sonos speakers with Google Assistant. When I go to the Sonos app and select Add a Voice Assistant, the first thing it does it force me to do a system update. It finds an update and requires me to update. I keep getting an update problem - error 30. This is related to an unsported speaker on the system that we are still controlling with the one Sonos S1 app. How do I get sonos to ignore this speaker as part of the update so that I can add Google Assistant? Thanks!
Hi,I just set up my Sonos One, adding YouTube music and Google assistant. It doesn’t work right at, it’s very annoying.I say “hey google, play X by Y”Is then plays some stupid random song I never asked for. If I look what has happened it has found some playlist (not one of mine) called “Mix X’ and started to play the first (of hundreds) on that playlist!!Example;I say “hey google, play blue monday by new order”And i hear small town boy by bronski beat!!!!!!!!!!!!! wtf!!If I look in the Sonos app, I see it’s decided to play some random playlist called “Mix Blue Monday” of which smalltown boy is first track.Btw, after I have ask it (as above)“sure, playing blue monday on your tube music”, then plays fade to grey by visage,
Comment m'y prendre ? J'utilise l'assistant Google depuis mon Samsung Galaxy S8+.Un grand merci d'avance !
