Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have 2 Era 300 speakers that keep cutting in and out and just wanted to know if i can use an Aux y spliter to connect to both adapters with out having any problems

I have a new arc ultra.  I am trying to add a pair of Fives as surround speakers but they are not available when I go into the app to add surrounds.  I can see two amps that are on my system as options but the Fives are not there.   The Fives are not stereo paired and I did a factory reset on them to add them back to my system.   I can see them in the list of speakers available to play music on but just not to add.   anyone have any thoughts?

HiHoping for some advice please. My nephew signed into my Sonos Ray and now it thinks he is the main account holder and won't let me update or adjust volume. He can't remember the details he used…Factory reset my only option? Thank you for reading.

Have 10 Sonos speaker with Arc Ultra, sub and 2 rears in the living room which sound great.  But, when I stream music through the house and change volume, the arc just drops off they group.  Doesn’t happen all the time but it’s annoying.  I was told to go in to my Frame TV sound setting and turn on and off a particular setting and it seems to work for awhile but eventually comes back.  Any suggestions?

Hey everyone,I was curious how people usually reorganize or reconnect their Sonos systems after moving furniture around, changing rooms, or relocating equipment during home cleanups or renovations.Do you usually rename speakers and rebuild everything from scratch, or is there a smoother way to manage room changes inside the app?I’ve noticed that larger setup changes can sometimes create confusion with grouping & room organization, especially in multi-room setups.Interested to hear how others here handle it.

Hi, Today Sonos windows controller  indicated that an update was available. I tried to run it, but Smart App Control intercepted and blocked the update from completing. Message was that the publisher could not be verified. Help please.

Im losing my mind over this issue. Its been several hours per day for four days including with Sonos support and no luck. I have a new Arc Ultra connected to a new Sony Bravia 8 II television via the TV eARC port using the HDMI cable included with the Arc Ultra. I have read for hours and tried everythign I read to get sound to come out of the arc ultra. Ive tried many different Sonois app and TV settings and different combos and many, many reboots of both products. I do not have any other HDMi or other port being used on the TV.  Sonos support say I need an eARC to HDMI adapter?? What is this? The support tech seemed to get annoyed when I was asking anythign about the adapter. All my research shows the tv and soundbar are eARC as is the HDMI cable included with the Arc Ultra. I dont see any adapters online, only extractors which seem to only be used if one of the products is not eARC. Anyone using the arc ultra with a Sony Bravia 8 II?Or, anyone who understands

Hey there! I have a Sonos Move 2 speaker that worked fine on my Orange Livebox 7's network for almost a year, then started to not be visible anymore in my Sonos app. I reset the device and it managed to join the wifi, but it was never able to be linked my my account. Despite several resets, the operation always failed. I talked with support and they were great. We saw that the setup worked when the speaker was on another Wifi network created with Android's tethering feature. We checked the wifi's Mac filtering settings but it was disabled, and enabling it + adding the speaker's mac address didn't fix anything. In the end, support concluded there was probably an issue with my Livebox. Looking into that hypothesis, I fell upon this discussion:  It gave me the necessary pointers to fix t

I got to the part of the procedure that says “press the button on play:5 with the flashing light.”Do I press and hold or just press and release? And it doesn’t really feel like a button. It’s just the flashing light on top of the speaker. If I press on it I get a little tone (I think) and then I release. Should it change color? Nothing happens after that and then I get a message that say “We didn’t detect a button press” 

Sonos app is working fine on iOS devices but not on MACOs. Have tried everything recommended by Claude for over an hour. Nothing seems to work.  Keep getting error message about a firewall issue. Claude think it’s a bug with Sonos and Apple not playing nice with Local Network connection networking issues.

2 feature requests -I use night mode to even out loud and quiet parts during movies so I don’t have to change the volume all of the time. Unfortunately it also seems to turn down low bass volume as well as dynamic range. It’d be great to have an option that keeps the sub untouched.  -I’ve noticed music bass levels are much quieter than movies. It’s be great to have sub level separated for tv and music like it is for surrounds. Currently, if I set the level where it’s great for movies, there is very little bass for music (Sub 4)  

Hi everyone,I’m experiencing an annoying rattling noise with my Sonos Sub Gen 2. The issue happens mostly during movies, especially in low frequency scenes with deep bass. It is less noticeable with music, but still present at times.What I’ve already tried: Factory reset Trueplay tuning multiple times Moving the Sub to different locations in the room Switching connection from WiFi to Ethernet (currently wired) The rattling still occurs regardless of placement or connection method.Has anyone experienced something similar with a Gen 2? Did it turn out to be a hardware issue or was there a specific fix?

My gen1 Roam has become unresponsive. None of the buttons on top respond and the on/off button is also unresponsive and no lights come on. It is kept on the Sonos base charger when not in use (the charger plug supplies 5v, but I can’t tell if the base pad is working). If I plug a charging cable in the rear socket I get a red light at the bottom but none of the buttons respond. If it wasn’t nailed to the perch would it have fallen off?

Is it possible to run the Beam Gen 2 directly from a TV that supports digital audio?  I’ve installed in a location that does not have Wi-Fi.

We have recently purchased a beam and 2 era speakers. we want the flexibility to play music independently from the 2x era speakers from our phone but we also want to have the beam and era speakers grouped to our TV. Is this possible to have 2 independent Sonos room/systems? thanks

Subject line says it all.  I have an OLD system: ZP80 and ZP100, on the S1 app.  I’m a super early adopter, on a super low budget.  I can get a Play:1 (used, obviously) for a good price.  My concern is that because the Play:1 seems to be compatible with both S1 and S2, adding to my otherwise purely-S1 system will break it.  Any feedback is appreciated!

Hi, for the last 3 weeks or so Sonos is constantly dropping out and losing connection. Sometimes it skips through tracks, other times it just stops playing. I also can not connect to Sonos speakers via the Spotify app. This all worked before and we haven’t changed our internet setup. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to fix it? 

Hi, I’m getting. 1008 error when setting up Era 300. I’ve had the speakers for 6m without many issues. One of the speakers dropped last week & I cannot get to register. Keep getting a 1008 error. WiFi is via Netgear Nighthawk mesh system. If I connect direct to the router then I don’t get any issues but the router won’t extend to cover the house. I’ve been escalated to level 3 at Sonos but wondered if anyone had any ideas. I’ve reset speakers, router and tried to set up direct with router then move to Netgear but speakers aren’t moving. Help 

(I can create them anew and the new ones read the same Amazon files correctly.)  It was as though a mysterious virus had swept down on my Sonos system, no idea why.  The earlier playlists (many dozens) are still there but the files are all, quote, ”not encoded properly”.   Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.(My only Sonos equipment is a ZP80.  Running S1 on my Iphone and Imac.)

I was curious if perhaps anyone on here may be able to assist me with an issue I ran into regarding streaming content and my Sonos play bar please. I have 2 play bars and a sub but I’ve only ever used them for music, however I purchased a new TV recently and I’d like to set up the Sonos system to work with the TV. The television is Samsung 85” model U8000F. Unfortunately for me the tv does not have a dedicated optical audio output for a cable connection to the play bar, so to overcome this obstacle I acquired a device called the Insignia audio extractor (links below)  in order to connect the play bar to the tv. The Tv does have ARC/EARC in one of the HDMI ports as well, but the extractor only supports EARC I believe. I just received a push notification on my iPhone suggesting I check out the “Hit List” on Sonos Radio.That’s odd… I’m pretty sure I had turned marketing notifications off: Does Sonos no longer honor this preference?Sonos has generally been good in the past about honoring this preference and not abusing its notification access. I’m hoping this is just a one-time oversight that will be quickly fixed.
