Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have quite a few playlists saved in the Sonos app. Most include tracks I searched and saved from Napster to my Sonos playlist. A few days ago, none of those tracks would play. An error message ‘lost connection to Napster’ would pop up and every Napster-derived track would be skipped over until the Sonos app reached a track sourced from a different streaming service. I did the usual stuff — cut the Napster connection, rebooted everything, reauthorized Napster, yadda yadda.Nothing worked. Hi everyone,I prefer wired connections where possible, but of course that’s not always feasible.There are also situations, where Wi-Fi can't (mobile, or not disableable) or shouldn't (soundbar and surrounds/sub) be disabled.If I’m not mistaken, mixed setups should be avoided, as they can lead to issues or at least additional complexity (IGMP-Snooping, STP, BPDU handling...).In environments with home theater and other speakers, it would be great if one could use Ethernet and configure Wi-Fi to be used only for the dedicated link between a soundbar and surrounds/sub (since that has latency advantages, right?).Or, if SonosNet-capable devices that use Wi-Fi could be prevented from using SonosNet.But as far as I know, neither of this is currently possible - right?Or better completely ditch Ethernet and just go full Wi-Fi?Appreciate any input in advance!Cheers, Martin

Hi,Unfortunately my Sonos Connect AMP got bricked somehow. I opened it up, measured the voltages and found a UART port. I have seen several closed threads about connectivity issues with Wifi 7. I have called Sonos support twice about this issue and it seems like the bottom line is my Sonos speakers (including a Play 1, Play 5, and Era models) and the app only inconsistently work with Wifi 7 routers. And more specifically, the Sonos speakers need to stay connected to 2.4 ghz or they won’t consistently work. Is this still correct? if so, this is a huge weakness in an otherwise great sounding system.A few months ago I had my tech savvy brother in law help me connect all my speakers (the chiming process, which is cumbrous and slow) to my wifi network operating only 2.4ghz. For about a month or so this all worked. But at some point either my router rebooted or something and  I woke up  one day and all the speakers had disappeared from my system, according to the app, even though I could still see that the speakers were connected to my wifi network. I got given a zp90 and zp120. Using the sonos S1 app the firmware update for these 2 products fails returning an error 11. I understand this can be due to the firmware being very old. I tried live chat and did all the usual resetting and rebooting with the agent. Same error each time.  Any ideas about next moves. Thanks.  

I’m new to the Sonos family and was so excited to set up my Sonos Arc Ultra after hearing it in store. I have wall mounted my product, connected it to my network via an ethernet connection and it’s connected to a new LG OLED C5 TV using the HDMI eARC option.Sound from the TV is amazing. I rarely move above level 35 because it’s loud. If I play music via my TV using the Spotify app or Apple Music app the sound is also amazing. Level 50 is loud and level 70 would generate a noise complaint from my neighbours.If however I use the Sonos app or connect directly from my phone via bluetooth the sound is muffled and faint. At 70 the speaker from my iPhone would be louder and at 100 the sound you iis so soft you can talk comfortably. Sound is so underwhelming it seems like something is wrong. I want to be able to play music directly from my phone. Why would music from my phone be so quiet? I have had two friends connect via both wifi, the app and bluetooth and they experience the same issue. On

Hi,  I'm unable to play anything on Spotify through the Sonos app. I keep getting the error: could not play xyz, the connection to spotify was lost.  I'm able to play it through the spotify app but it takes 15-20 seconds for the track to start. I've rebooted everything, deleted and re-installed the sonos app and removed and re-added spotify in sonos.  All apps and system are updated.  Any help world be appreciated. Hi, For some reason I had to delete my system and re create it. Now when I try to add Qobuz it says "Qobuz wasnt added. Something went wrong, try again later" after I follow the authorisation process.Under my Qobuz account, Sonos shows as an external service but I have no way to remove it from Qobuz.Diagnostic sentThanks in advance. Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

I am now getting “An alarm is playing in X room” in-app notifications all the time. Seems to be happening since the last update. I know an alarm is going off. I set the goddamn thing. I want it to go off. What I don’t want is a pop up notification telling me it’s going off. That is incredibly stupid and annoying. I see no way to turn off this notification. I am on the most recent app update, iOS.The only thing for “Pop-up Messages” in the whole app I can find are for when “new prodcuts or features are available” in the App Prefences section. Doesn’t seem like that’s the place to disable this. Doesn’t seem to be anything about pop-up notifications in the alarm section of the app either...

I have purchsed 2x Sonos One speaker and a Beam a year or a bit more ago. The main purpose was to put it in each room (bedroom and 2 kids rooms) to set alarms and wake up next to music. Now I don’t see that function anymore and is frustrating me as it was probably the only reason I decided to purchase Sonos. Can someone help me out how I can still set the alarm.Thank you! 

No audio from tv amp to arcI have a sonos amp to tv with in ceiling speakers. All worked fine for a couple of weeks, now no audio from tv but all fine streaming music just no tv audio. I see the sonos amp hdmi connection I even see the equalizer bars moving in the icon on the tv screen however there is no audio .i looked expensively online rebooted both Samsung tv and sonos amp without success. Any ideas?

I’ve had this problem for a couple months now and been in contact with Sony about it.Every time I turn on my TV I get a message in the bottom of the screen saying “TV speakers active due to a audio system communication error”. It started appearing after updating both my TV and Sonos Arc so it’s hard to say which is causing the issue.Sound is still coming from the Arc but sometimes I have to manually change audio source from “TV speakers” to “Audio system” but it’s rare.Do anyone else have this problem?

Hola, tengo dos Era 300 y no logro escuchar la música con Dolby Atmos, ya contraté con Amazon Music y Tidal, he realizado los ajustes de acuerdo con las instrucciones de Sonos.He desinstalado todo en dos ocasiones y nuevamente configuro todo desde cero, pero no logro escuchar la música con Dolby Atmos Sólo en una ocasión logré escuchar con un Test de Dolby Atmos la separación de las diferentes bocinas pero no se que sucedió que ya no lo he podido configurar correctamente  Qué debo hacer? Gracias 

I have just changed to EE from Bt with a new router and I need to know the correct Path for my music folder 

I have a Sonos Arc, Roam 2 and Beam. The Arc is in our living room, the Beam in an upstairs room. Especially when I use voice control (which is only set on the Arc), sometimes the app shows the Beam in use. If I change the player to the Arc, it seems confused and tries to play what was on the Beam on the Arc.For instance, if I had the TV sound on the Arc, it will play music from the Beam until I change it on the app to TV. If I had the Roam linked to the Arc, it’s worse. Can I set a default player on the app? I don’t use the Beam very often. 

I’ve been having issues with streaming my music library through Sonus for over a year, so am finally looking at buying a Bluetooth speaker, probably the Era 100. Can I then link it to my existing Play 1 speakers, so I don’t have to replace everything? 

Deezer tracks not playing, error msg ref insufficient network to maintain buffer etc.  

Hi,Newbie here hoping someone can help..have a play 1 and 3 and a beam. Play 1 and 3 seem to work fine and as expected when beam is not powered on. However once beam is on both play 1 and 3 disappear from sonos app which is very frustrating. Hasnt always been like this but xant quite pin point when it started happening 

The community indicates that the greyed out music library can be fixed by accepting the update, however my system is up to date and there is no update to accept.   is there any other solution?Thank you

Hello 👋🏼… I have a problem here that I can’t solve .. as I connect my era 100 as surround to my arc ultra … as the app tell me to choose witch one makes the sound to select it as right or left surround … after completing and successfully saves the surrounds .. the don’t play … instead they are at the system as arc ultra not registered x 2 I deleted the app and reinstall it .. I did factory reset the eras over 5 times.. I reset the network .. I did everything .. and nothing works .. when I reset to factory and put them again to my system they work as standalone or as a pair just fine … but not as surround set for the arc ultra ..: need help here plz !!!      

Hi, I recently added a switch 2 to my set up. When I did this I changed the order of my HDMI ports. Obviously, I kept my beam 2 in the earc port of my LG TV.  Since I made this change, the audio will cutout for less than a second every few minutes. It happens on multiple HDMI ports. I originally thought this was a switch 2 problem, but today I noticed it while watching my apple tv. I have a beam 2, mini sub, and to One SL speakers as surrounds. Any ideas on what’s going on here? I‘ve tried turning off and on again.  Thanks for any help!  

The alarms were fixed after the app upgrade debacle in 2024, until the latest upstage this week when they've been removed again! (May 2025).The alarm option is still shown in the app but all previously saved alarms have disappeared and you can't save any new alarms you try to create.Even worse, the existing alarms are still in the system somewhere as they still play but there's no way to see, edit, or stop them!!Sonos, please re-fix the alarms! Phantom alarms that still play but we can't edit are a disaster! 

Hi. Is anyone else experiencing dropouts, skips, etc with Apple Music since Apple Music moved to Lossless? Before Lossless was introduced, I never had these issues. I have tried Amazon HD and Quboz in the past - both high-res services - and experienced the same behavior. Eventually my system will realize it’s not working and then downgrade back to non-Lossless music, but then it will try again 5 songs or so later. We really need a toggle in the app to downgrade to non-Lossless streaming for the systems that can’t handle it.

Since upgrading to the latest firmware and app release we no longer see Play:1 units and I notice they are stuck on 17.2.1 firmware. They are visible in the Mac app and playable and groups from there. Also, Home Assistant can manage the units.

For about the past week (seems like there is a new S2 controller update out), I will lose access to some, but not, of my speakers from the Android app. Currently controller is Build 80.29.6. This is happening on both my tablet and phone. Right now, two of the four speakers show No Content even through music is coming out of them. If I try to play something, I get the message “Couldn’t play Content.  Something went wrong.” This happens with a TuneIn or Sonos radio station, Spotify, and my local music library. If I reboot the router and all of the speakers, it will work for several hours and then start displaying this problem. This first two days it occurred it also progressed about about 10 hours to not being able to find any speaker on the network. Again, they play fine using the play/pause button on the speaker or the Windows 11 app. Any thoughts? Hope for a fix soon?Thanks,  Bryan
