Hi all, I’m not able to make my Sonos beam to make the sound from my fire tv 4K max 2026 to come out.

i have a Kogan Roku tv 2023 4K.

my Sonos is connected to the HDMI arc, fire tv to another hdmi and I tried everything I found but sound does not come out.

do you have any suggestion or guide to follow?

Thank you

You need both CEC (Consumer Electronincs Control) and ARC (Audio Return Channel) turned on in the settings menu.  Where these items are in the Settings menu will vary between model numbers.  If you can't find them, list your specific model number here.

My Amazon Firestick 4K Max works great on my Sony so it isn't likely to be your issue.

Have you tried the Atmos test under the Firestick diagnostics section? Not near the tv to give you the menu path.

Bring up the Settings menu on the TV, go to Options, HDMI CEC.  Set HDMI CEC to On. Set HDMI ARC to On. Exit the menu.  If that doesn't complete the setup, you may need to unplug the TV and Beam from the wall socket and replug them in to force an HDMI handshake.

Hi mate thanks for answering. I tried multiple times and it asks me to connect fire tv on hdmi arc but Sonos is there.

Hi @Romulorochabr

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear of this issue you are having with not getting any TV sound from your Beam. It sounds most frustrating!

Please try unplugging the TV from the power and disconnecting the Fire Stick. Plug the power for the TV back in - do you then get TV audio successfully? If so, then it appears there is a HDMI-CEC conflict causing the issue. With the link now made, you might then be able to plug in the Fire Stick (it does not need the ARC port - any HDMI port will do, though it may still need a higher-specification HDMI port than others, if available) and still get audio. If not, you may need to purchase a cheap CEC blocker to fit to the Fire Stick to resolve the issue.

If none of that works, however, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.
