Hi all I have just installed a Beam gen 2. I have set my LG tv to allow Dolby Atmos via eArc and I can see from the app that my Beam has a Dolby Atmos input. When I listen to Dolby Atmos content though I can’t seem to hear much difference to be honest. I have also tried Spatial Audio on Apple Music and again can’t really determine any difference.  I maybe expecting too much and it’s early days but I am wondering if my Beam may be faulty. Has anybody got any experience of this? 

Hello all!I own an Arc Ultra for my small living room. I am looking to make a Home Cinema with 2 x Roam 2. Will I be able to do it? I am thinking since the living room is small, 2 Roam 2 could be more than enough, and I will be able to use them as portable speakers for the terrace. Please, let me know if you think the set up (Arc Ultra+ 2 x Roam 2) is meant to be a home cinema. Thank you so much!

I own a Sonos Arc Ultra and two Era 300 speakers. I would like to use the Arc Ultra together with the two Era 300s as a home theater setup, but also be able to quickly use the two Era 300s independently as a stereo pair.In my experience, the sound quality of the two Era 300s in pure stereo without the Arc ultra is significantly better for music listening than when all speakers are combined in a home theater setup. Unfortunately, switching between these two use cases is currently not quick or convenient. I would strongly appreciate a feature that allows multiple setup presets to be saved and switched between. Ideally, these presets would retain their individual Trueplay tuning settings. For example: When I want to watch a movie, I select a “Home Theater” preset, where the Arc Ultra and the two Era 300s play together. Hey folks. I’m running my Sony XBR-55X9004 TV through an Epson projector. The audio when watching TV programming (primarily sports) changed to very weak recently. Worked fine until recently. I first tried a new HDMI but that didn’t help. I then noticed the Stereo PCM display on my Sonos App. I have to crank the volume way up to get adequate volume. Volume works normally when listening to music via Sonos (displays Dolby Atmos) but when switching to TV the volume diminishes and display switches to Stereo PCM. The TV feed comes from a Sony TV (casting to a separate room using the projector). Everything else works great. Any help is appreciated! 

I have a mid sized living room about 50 sq meterwhich sub should I get: mini vs sub 4 ? Pairing it with a pair of Era 100si see the sub 4 is more recent  so perhaps a better choice? 

Hey folks,I eventually decided to migrate from S1 to S2. All my devices are compatible. So in the S1 app I clicked “upgrade to S2” (or whatever the wording was). Next the app asked me to install the S2 app, which is what I did. Opening the S2 app the system is detected but I get a prompt saying that the system is only compatible with S1. So I’m stuck: can’t upgrade from the S1 app and can’t add all the speakers to the S2 app.I’m sure that people had the issue before. What’s the best practice to resolve this?Would resetting to factory help?Thank you,mrpase

So to keep it simple; 3 units, two of them used as a surround setup with a beam. Since having them they work fine for hours, weeks, months until…. You up the volume. Then they start dropping out. All units (play ones) suffer from this issue.  I have had numerous cases over the passed years….. Sonos had me try everything; change channels, swap the setup, wired setup…..they keep insisting it is network related…. or power related (yeah right) the only thing cutting the power is the units themselves because they seem to have an issue. this can’t be network related or they would cut out / reboot more often. It only happens at higher volumes. I have even tested one of the units paired directly to a teltonika wired / wireless 4G routers and it still cut out / rebooted (powered of my home router) and even on a wired connection with this router it happened. Diagnostic:[redacted] I am 100% c

Hii am trying to setup a Sonos play 1 on lan my WiFi is on the same network but does not find device

Hi I've had this issue for a few weeks whereby every now and then - and I cannot put my finger on how often it occurs, maybe once a day, where the sound reduces and the green light flashes for a few seconds (like it's updating or something) then comes back to normal. Is this normal? It's bloody annoying.  Thanks

The Bluetooth speakers after an hour disconnecting and stay silent.the only thing I must do is unplugged the WiFi and the power in order to connect again. 

I recently moved apartments, and thus had to reset my Sonos Play:1 When adding the Spotify service I encountered no problems, I can browse my playlists and search for music in the Sonos app just fine. But whenever I try to play something from Spotify, the app loads for a while (~10 seconds) before giving an error message that connection to Spotify was broken. The same goes for trying to access my Sonos speaker through the Spotify app – I can see the speaker in question, but any connection attemps fails. This only seems to apply to the Spotify Service, as Sonos Radio plays just fine. I now live in a managed apartment, and don’t have admin rights/access to the wireless network. How do I resolve this?

Sonos should make a remote control for turning the volume up or down, pause, skip and rewindAs an iphone user the buttons don’t work on my iphone 16e. Would be nice that I didn’t have to go into the app to do those things

My nephew gave me a Sonos Roam for Christmas. When I turn it off and leave it for a day the battery completely drains and I can’t even turn it back on unless I plug it in. I haven’t downloaded the app yet. Reading through the forum people have been writing about this issue with various Sonos speakers for more than 5 years. What the actual hell? If they think this is a “feature” they are insane. It makes the speaker completely useless. I travel a lot and he got it for me as a speaker I could pack and travel with. Definitely can’t travel with this thing. 

I have an Sonos Arc and era 100’s bought 2 era 300 and have had a terrible time hooking them up to all play the same thing at once. I keep getting a small crackle sound from the era 300’s. I figured they were defective exchange them and even the new ones are doing the same thing! I reset my router and all the speakers to factory settings and still happens. Why is this happening??

Hello everyone, We’ve had annoying issues to say the least with our Sonos system (beam + 2x One SL) since the November update.  We had no issues up until then, everything worked perfectly, be it when we played music, watched tv or used any streaming service. But since November, it’s all gone haywire and it’s driving me crazy. I keep trying to change the settings but nothing works, no setting stays the same for everything like it used to. Before that darn update, I only touched *once* the settings, and that’s when we installed the system over 2 years ago. It worked oh so well up until November.  Dialogues are muffled, but then all the other sounds are too loud. I have to turn up the volume to hear what’s being said and then end up deafening the whole house when all the other sounds come on. It’s like the sound is on stereo. And then, sounds aren’t on time with the image. It was NEVER like this.  We contacted the customer service and had n

There is a real snag with the new pair of Sonos Era 100 and my Mesh Deco X50 where I am getting kicked off and having to reselect the speakers and start from scratch. I have pretty good patience but having done this some 30-40 times I am wondering if there is something non compatible about mesh (which moves across networks) and Sonos wanting to be static on one router.In have Set a preferred routers for the Sonos and my phone  rebooted the rooter and mesh and updated all the software  tried using the Sonos from another device to check its not my phoneAll / any advice welcome. 

I will mostly use my speaker for music TV going to sleep. Relaxation mood swings. Mostly more about myself and making sure the vibe or feelings are up to point and sets the mood.

I currently have 2 Sonos Amps, 2 Beams and a Play One in my home and it was working just fine for years until recently, I’ve noticed I’m unable to control my system in the app. I can see each device but when I click play, it doesn’t actually start any music. I had a friend over who connected to my wifi network and was able to control it himself, no problems. I also logged in on my Windows PC and was able to control it, so it seems to just be my iPhone. I found if I unplugged the amps and plugged them back in, it seems to connect to my phone then but I’ve only tried that a couple of times otherwise I just don’t listen to music or find another device to control it. My Sonos app has always been up to date, along with all of my speakers/devices.Any suggestions?? 

Hi guys Ive had a S2 Playbar for a number of years which has worked wonderfully. I recently bought a brand new s4 sub base unit but cannot get it to connect to the playbar network via the wi fi. Looking at the data im not sure they are compatable which is very frustrating as i cant get the base unit to work as it wont asign to the playerbar network. Is there any way i can get them to work together ideally without wiring them together ( even if thats a possibility) ? Any help appreciated.Many thanks Geoff

I was an early Sonos fan, had several S1 products and everything worked great. Now, Sonos has split into S1 and S2 (don’t get me started) and I’ve divorced and my ex-wife who never really liked it decided to dump the old S1 Connect and Connect:Amp products back on me. In the meantime I have since bought my own S2 products and set up a new S2 system.I’d love to use the two Connect products and the Connect:Amp product to get an upgrade discount on a new Amp for some outdoor speakers, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. I tried doing a factory reset on the connect units (worked fine), setting up a new S1 system (also fine), and then going to the website (new components show up under my account, system). Since updating I've noticed a sudden drop in  volume.First noticed it while listing to Apple music. a short way into a song the volume dropped, I turned it up and it happend again. Didn't think too much of it.But then it happened while watching TV, so I turned the volume up, then a few seconds later the volume shot back up.Anyone else noticed this?Any thoughts?Hope it's just the update.Jon Izzard 

I have a Playbar, Sub, and 2 Play:1s combination.  The TV I have is old and specifically restricts devices input directly to the TV via HDMI as only being output via optical in 2.0 PCM. Not very unusual with older TVs.  I’m getting sound from the Play:1s.  What exactly is the Playbar outputting to the surrounds?  Stereo?  Some kind of matrixed surround similar to Prologic II?  I’m not dissatisfied with the sound.  I’m just curious what’s going on with this configuration.  If I got a TV that passed through Dolby Digital 5.1 via optical what would the Playbar do with that?  Is it going to sound markedly better than whatever it’s doing with 2.0?  I’m not really all that amped up about Atmos or anything like that yet.  5.1 and 1080p are just fine for now.This room is pretty much exclusively for streaming.  Most surround programming is DD+.  Something tells me that since my Roku senses what my playback device will process, that it will only send 2.0 PCM out an

Hello everyone.  Quick question about speaker placement as I am fairly new to Sonos.  I recently upgraded to the arc ultra, gen 4 sub, 1 pair of Fives and 1 pair of Era 300 from 1 pair of one SL and 1 pair of Era 100.  Below is the open concept floor plan.  I plan on using the arc and sub for home theater and the Fives and Era 300 for playing music.  The arc would go below the TV on the unit and the sub to the left of it.  My plan was to put the 1 pair of Fives on speaker stands in the family room.  Put the one Era 300 in the dining room on a stand and the one Era 300 in the dining room directly on the counter as it is out of the work area.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
