Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My old Playbar isn’t recognizing the remote on my new Hisense Model: 55QD7QF.  It worked fine with the LG tv remote that I just replaced.  I tried changing remotes with the S1 app to no avail.  Any suggestions are much appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

I’m unable to get my new Sonos sub 4 to connect to my new arc ultra. Have followed instructions, done heaps of factory resets. I can see it in the app, but just get a slow green flashing light or an orange light. Spent hours this afternoon trying to get it to work. Tried the help chat bot but it keeps going around in circles. Can’t find anything on line, most keep saying how easy it is. Do I take it back to my place of purchase and ask for a new one? 

I have a Beam 1 with a sub mini and two Play 1s set up s surrounds. I am replacing the Beam with an Arc. Do I need to remove the surround set-up before doing so? 

Hi everyone,I’m running into an issue with my Sonos setup and wanted to check if anyone has experienced something similar.After making some recent network/setup changes, my speakers are occasionally showing up as “not found” or taking a long time to connect in the app, even though the WiFi connection seems stable.What are the most effective troubleshooting steps you’ve found for resolving intermittent connectivity or device detection issues in a Sonos system? Also, are there any network settings or router configurations that tend to cause these kinds of problems?

Two Gen 1s, for some reason the white one (L) is a lot quieter than the black one (R). No, its not the Balance control. Both are identical hardware revisions. Problem on all types of audio. My third Play:5, which I could use to figure out which one is “wrong”, is 2000 miles away.

Hi, I was considering the SONOS stands for the era 300 pair. However My ceiling is 10ft. Are these stands too tall? I currently have one sitting on a low surface and it sounds amazing. Getting a second.  Also it was recommended in their instructions to put it 8-10ft a part. I was originally hoping 4.5 ft guess this will be too short. Any advice? Should I go for the regular stands. Will I still have good immersion from Atmos Music?

I have a Sonas Arc Ultra Soundbar connected to a Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA 2 II LED 4K Tv.Bottom Line Up Front:  Volume Dialogue Fluctuates Between Cable Box and Streaming Apps BADLY.  I’m having trouble with the sound as it relates to the cable box (and certain shows on steaming apps).  When watching a game (NBA) for example (cable box), it sounds like the announcers are talking out of a tin can with barely any dialogue volume. However, when I watched a movie on a streaming app, it sounds better than a movie theater!Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I’d like consistency. Can anyone help?

Hi,  I've had my system since November 2025, and it's worked perfectly until today under the app.For some reason the app cannot see the beam gen2, sub-mini and the era300s.It states the network isn't there, which is nonsense, as i can see the beam logged in with a perfect signal, and my home network is working normally. Of course I can stream from the tv and it works, however the app refuses to see the system, and therefore no control over it, apart from the remote.  The app states I should update the network, clearly it's only the app that cannot see the speakers, so why would I need to update the network?Should I just delete and reinstall the app?  Any ideas please would be welcomed. Thanks. 

Why is Sonos ignoring YouTube music as my default music service when I am specifying it as my default? It is not an acceptable service to default to Spotify when I have not chosen that as my default option. I have seen other queries dismissed by saying Youtube is not supported but obviously it is supported as a service and I can select it as my preferred service?So make it PREFERRED.        

When the speaker is charging a flashing white light appears, but as soon as the cable is unplugged the light goes off and nothing happens no matter how long the power button is held.I hadn't used the speaker for several years and charged it for many hours because of that, but it doesn't respond to anything - neither when charging nor without.

Hi all, I have tried updating my Sonos app, but the apple App Store no longer lists it as an active download, and doesn’t even have any reference to it. Does anyone know why?

Is there a way to turn the autopause feature off? I found it a bit 'sketchy' at times when wearing a beanie or hat of some sort. Which in these colder countries like Finland where i live is quite unavoidable to be without at times.  It 9 out of 10 times pauses if I turn my head a certain way if I'm wearing a hat. 

Hi all. I hope you can help.  I have had a Sonos system successfully for ages, and recently added a Roam SL. on set up all goes ok, and works for a while, then it decides to drop off the system. It is visible in the app, but whenever I try to play something it states “connection timed out” and I can’t see the volume slider - just a thin white line. i have sky broadband with a deco mesh system. I have a Sonos product plugged directly into the router.   

Anyone else getting this? When you click the play triangle, it shows the square stop for a moment (which shows when it’s playing), and then goes back to the play triangle. The infinite mix channels are fine, but Live on 1 and Live on 2 are not working.

Let me start out by saying I think I have read every possible article related to choppy playback, wifi interference, losing speakers, and best practices. I have been fighting this issue for the better part of a year at this point. From a network standpoint, I have used a single Netgear router with built-in wifi, a Fortinet gateway controlling Fortinet APs, an Amplifi router with a mesh remote, a Deco 3 AP system with both wireless and wired backhaul, and finally I am now on Unifi, with the gateway, switch and wired APs. All have exhibited the same experience where grouping speakers together can take a long time or fail completely. When speakers are grouped, the choppiness happens consistently and most times ends up causing the entire system to stop playing altogether. Now that I am on full Unifi equipment, I have taken care to try to configure it both to Unifi’s best practices and to Sonos’ best practices with no luck. Hello everyone I’m new to the Sonos community and would like some guidance before posting my issue.I’m currently experiencing a problem with my Sonos setup after recent changes/updates, and I’m not sure if it’s a settings issue, network issue, or something else.Has anyone else faced similar problems after updates, and what steps helped you resolve it?I’ve already tried basic troubleshooting like restarting the system and checking my network, but the issue is still there.Any advice or direction would be really appreciated. Since the firmware update on April 14 (player version 94.1-76070), CEC control between my Sony Bravia XR-55A90J and Arc Ultra is broken. Audio via eARC works fine, but:    1.    No volume OSD – changing volume with the TV remote adjusts the Arc Ultra volume, but the TV no longer shows the on-screen volume indicator. This works intermittently at best.    2.    No standby sync – when I turn off the TV, the Arc Ultra does not power down. Instead it stays on with a green LED (muted), rather than going into standby.Both features worked correctly before the update.What I’ve tried (none resolved the issue):    •    Factory reset of the Arc Ultra + full re-setup via Sonos app    •    New certified Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable    •    Cold restart of both TV and Arc Ultra (unplugged from power, 60+ seconds)    •    Toggling Bravia Sync (CEC) off/on with cold restart in between    •    Removing all other HDMI devices (PC on HDMI 4)

I have bought a Sonos Beam 2, and 2 ERA 100 speakers. I am not aiming for full surround sound per se, but 1 additional speaker in our kitchen (open plan with the living room - we can see TV form kitchen) and another at the back of the living room facing into the room from behind.Have tweaked the sound delay for the soundbar so it sounds more aligned and less delayed in the kitchen, still some level of reverb when too loud but it is a lot better.the sound sometimes drops from the ERAs (connected via wifi), I do have a wifi extender in the kitchen so wonder if my phone switching between the wifi network impacts this or if the speakers are only connected to the main wifi (i have not connected them to the extender - but maybe should consider that).

Dear Sonos community. I am currently in the situation of having issues with the center channel of my home theater setup. The dialogue in different media is sounding very muffled.Here’s what I have done to troubleshootGot help from Sonos support. After an hour of troubleshooting with them on the phone, they decided to send me a new Arc Ultra. Issue still remains after the receiving the new speaker unit, so ... I have used a specific youtube video to use as benchmarking the issue I tested the video from my Computer (It’s hooked up to the TV), youtube app from my Nvidia Shield, and also the Youtube app on LG TV. Same issue. However! The issue is not present when running the sound via Airplay. Dolby Atmos content is not affected by this issue. The media that I have without Dolby Atmos has this issue. This issue appeared recently (last two weeks), so can it be that an update for the

It shows only on my app(Had a crazy ex decide to let herself in my house using a spare key and stole items including a Nintendo switch and one sonos Beam and Amazon Alexa show 10. All require an internet connection to use

Hello All -Surprisingly I have been referred here by the second level support team as they don’t have the answer, neither does the beta test team.I have about 35k tracks in FLAC on my NAS drive.  Until a while ago - after the last update but before going down the beta test route - I could right click on the root directory of all the tracks and they’d be added to the queue.  It took a little time but it happened.Now it simply tells me that the queue is full even while the “Queue is empty” is showing.  If I laboriously add each of the 30-odd subdirectories one by one they are added to the queue no problem, right up to the 35k level.I am using a Mac Mini M4 with Sequoia 15.7.4, 24GB of memory and Sonos S2 17.2.3.Any thoughts out there?  (Sonos support have no record of anybody else reporting this problem.)Thanks,Ian.

I have about 15 sonos devices in my system, mostly Play1’s, a Play5, and several connect:amps.  Because of their age, I have to keep them on S1, which has been totally fine.What kills me though is SonosNet.  There are a large number of nearby WAPs, and using SonosNet is just a disaster.  I’d love to connect everything via ethernet, but it is just not practical.  So, wireless it is.  I’ve created a separate 2.4Ghz only wifi network for the sonos system and have it VLAN tagged so their IP addresses are in a range distinct from everything else.  Works great, except when it doesn’t.A couple times a year we find sonos components disappearing off the system, playback being flaky, interrupted, etc.  And, sometimes our entire wifi network just goes tits up.  When this happens, I usually find that some of the sonos components have turned their SonosNet back on and somehow or another are creating massive packet collisions on the network.  So, then I have to go through

Sonos amp in system and works great...can’t Sonos Connect amp Gen 1 for 2nd system...trying to install on sonos app (phone)...says not compatible refers me to Sonos S1 controller…..App on computer is system management only (brown icon)….how do I add the Connect amp 1 to my system?...Thanks.!!!
