Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar for my Dell Alienware AW3225QF monitor, which has an eARC connection. I purchased an eARC HDMI cable from the official Sonos website (which I believe is 2.1, therefore compatible with the monitor). I set up the devices as follows: - HDMI 2 output on the monitor connected to the PC for video output using a UGREEN high-definition HDMI cable. - HDMI 1/eARC output on the monitor connected to the SONOS Beam Gen 2 soundbar using the original SONOS HDMI/eARC cable. Despite the correct settings, the audio doesn't work. My monitor correctly displays the soundbar among the output devices [1 - AW3225QF (AMD Audio Definition Audio Device)], but sound doesn’t come out. I've done everything I can to try to resolve the issue, specifically: 1. I reset the monitor settings. 2. I enabled HDMI CEC (on) on the monitor. 3. I installed the latest monitor firmw

Hi, hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I’m having.If I start music in a zone which either contains Sonos One or a Roam and then try to group another zone which contains a playbar, the music will restart form the beginning and play on the original zone but not on the playbar, even though it shows as grouped and playing in the app.If I instead start the music on the playbar and then add the other zone (One or Roams), sometimes it plays on the Roams, sometimes it doesn’t, but again it shows as grouped and playing in the app. What is also interesting in this scenarios that if I press the play/pause on the Roam the music on the playbar stops.I’ve tried rebooting router several times. I’ve also tried wired and wireless on the playbar, but overall it just doesn’t want to play with other zones.Any thoughts on how to debug this, or is this a known issue with the older playbar and the (somewhat) newer Ones/Roams. I’m heavily invested in the Sonos ecosys

I’m using a Sonos Arc with two Sonos Ones as a home theater system. Last night, I found my Arc disconnected from the network and the App. Interestingly, the Mic LED was solid white.I’ve tried the following with no luck:Power Cycle: Unplugged for several minutes and plugged back in. Factory Reset: Held the Join (∞) button while plugging in the power. However, the Mic LED only flashes for less than a second, and it never enters the flashing amber/white "reset mode."Is this a known hardware failure? Has anyone successfully recovered from this, or is it time to say goodbye to the Arc?

I added local library tracks to my queue and when I double clicked on the first track, what my daughter had been streaming resumed playing. Please fix this.

Since the update to the app (April 2026), the Sonos app stays active on my phone after I close it in recent apps.  Before the update, I would open the app start some music and then I could close the app completelyid I didn't need it open.  Now it shows what is playing in the notifications even after closing.  If someone sends me a video or I'm watching something on Facebook or TikTok and I change the volume of a video I'm watching, it also changes the sound for my Sonos speakers which are playing music.I have to go into the system settings and force close the Sonos app to stop it from running and taking over the volume controls.I have a Samsung Ultra S23 and my husband has a regular S23 and both phones are doing the same thing. Anyone else having this problem or know the fix?  It's annoying to have to force stop the app every time.

I have the LG G3 tv, Sonos Arc and Sky Qall connections are Ethernet. Sonos is eArcwhen turning on sky q, the tv automatically turns on as well. This works fine once or twice, but then, all too frequently, sky q will turn on, the tv will turn on, but a message appears saying no connection.the easiest resolution is to pull the sky q hdmi cable out, immediately push it back in, and the connection is remade and sky q appears.If the Sonos hdmi cable is removed from the tv (so we only have tv sound) sky q works fine. Every time.any ideas?  

I am running a 19 speaker Sonos system with mixed devices (old and new). One speaker (Sonos One) is directly wired to my managed network switch (Port 6, VLAN1 - Default). Hence all speakers are WM:0 (except my Move 2 - WM:1). My Sonos App connects to my WLAN with SSID “xyz” (VLAN1). I prepared a new WLAN with SSID “123” which is VLAN10In order to separate Sonos from my IoT Net I want to move the Sonos System to VLAN10. What is the most reliable and easiest way to do that? 

In the Sonos application I would like to add in my servicesan application to listen to music, how should I do it?Thank you

I have a Sonos Amp and a pair of Fives and recently purchased a new TV to replace a very old and outdated TV. The Fives sit either side of my new TV and I connected them to my TV via a Sonos Amp using the eArc Hdmi out from the TV into the HDMI on the amp (there are no hardwired speakers).The issue with this setup is that volume / mute from the TV remote only controls the Amp and is not tethered to the Fives so I have to use the S2 app which is super annoying. Speech can be a little unclear as well but the bass from the Fives is truly impressive. So I considered replacing the Amp with an Arc (not the Arc Ultra) but want to know the following:1. Will my TV remote pass the volume / mute to the Arc? 2. Can I connect the Fives so they act more like subs as the position of them is perfect for music listening and the Arc is likely limited in it's bass response? I really want to avoid having to add a sub when the Fives do such a good job. 3. Alternatively, given tha

Have looked through a bunch of threads here and 1 thing I have come across are a lot of people that have had issues with NAS Drives,Music Library playing in a stable fashion on Sonos. Currently have about 900CD’s that was thinking of ripping onto a Drive so that it can be accessed via Sonos App. Is anyone doing this where it works flawlessly or is there another option that should be considered. Many of the threads I ran across were dated a year or more so I realize some of the mentioned issues may have been resolved by now. Thank You In Advance for any Input and AssistanceRob

Hello! I have an unusual issue with my Sonos speakers and Apple Music.I set separate alarms for each day of the week to wake me up to a different playlist. In the Sonos app, I specify that I want the playlist shuffled.This worked well with Spotify - each time the alarm started, it’d reshuffle the playlist in a different order. However, with Apple Music, I’ve noticed that the playlist is shuffled, but the order remains the same each time the alarm plays. For example, with a playlist of 50 items, each time it’ll start playing song 26, then 15, then 32, etc.Has anyone else noticed this? Is there anything I can do to change this behavior?Thanks!

I am looking to have the same music playing through the wifi network to numerous analog stereos in my house.  I have two stereos on either side of a large room so I am hoping there won’t be any delay.  I have another analog stereo in the garage and would put another elsewhere.  I prefer my analog powered stereos.  I am thinking of getting the Port, but I’m not going to buy 5 ports obviously.  The older Connects used are pretty affordable.  I was thinking of getting a port as my master and then just buying some used Connects.  Does that make sense?  I’m not interested in the speakers.  Does Port have passive units for other rooms/stereos just with rca outs?  Would the Connects work fine with the Port for this application?

What was something that happened a couple times in the past is now more serious. I live in a quiet neighborhood. There have been a few times in the past where I noticed that music was on outside and I just simply turned it off. I have a Sonos Amp connected to 6 outdoor Sonance speakers and a large sub as our ‘Backyard Sonos’. The volume was low, and it’s possible it was playing for days. I just hadn’t been in the backyard to hear it.There have also been a couple times when we noticed super loud beeping coming from the outside Sonos system. We noticed the backyard zone volume was set to 100%, but no music was set on that zone. I had to unplug it to reset it, because if I just moved the volume down it would just go back up. Again, this happened twice around 11 PM. It’s just my wife and I - we were in bed. There are no alarms set and no integration with stuff like Alexa or Google Home.It’s now almost 4:30 AM while I am writing this. I just woke up to my backyard Sonos bla

Hi everyone,I’m repairing a Sonos Arc power supply board and could use help identifying one damaged SMD component.So far I have: Replaced the main IC (marked 1342BHDGD) Replaced the resistor in the yellow box – that one was readable at 24.9 Ω and had a burn mark. However, the component marked in red is physically cracked and has no visible markings. In-circuit it measured around 2.09 kΩ, Out of circuit it measures open (OL), so it’s definitely failed. Hey, is anyone experiencing dropouts with E-arc?? Also, when it’s not dropping out, I’m only getting Dolby digital PCM 2.0 or 5.1. Dolby Atmos is not working. has anyone else experienced this since the last update?

Anybody have experience connecting a Samsung TV to the Sonos Arc via ARC port from the TV to the soundbar.On the amsung TV there is meant to be a setting in the HDMI audio out to set it to passthrough to allow the audio source (Sky box) to be routed through the TV without processing straight to the soundbar.This setting is just not there.Ive rebooted everything to initiate the handshake from the TV to the soundbar but no luck.Anyone else seen this ?

I have a Sonos Ray connected to my tv.  When I switch from music with Sonos to the tv, I cannot control the sound with the tv controller.  I would like to remove the Ray from my Sonos system.  How to do that?

The Sonos app is not allowing me to enter any information under Line-in, Sources.  It says that Move 2 is “Not Connected” yet I have the iPod on and playing the 3.5mm jack into the DAC female to USB-C converter in place (purchased from the Sonos supplier as a compatible cable - a Baseus Type C Male to 3.5mm Female with built in DAC).The volume is up full on the iPod.I also tried it plugged into my laptop headphone output and it didn’t see that one either.Is there any way to configure the port without it seeing the connection so that I can play with the source level as some articles seem to indicate that this may be the issue?

I have several trhousand tracks which I converted from .wma to .flac, using the NCH Switch Sound File Converter app on Windows 11. The converted files appear to be playing on Sonos, but there is no sound.All ther files are within Sonos limits (44,100khz and 16-bit), and play perfectly well on my phone apps (Rocket Player and Pulsar), so are not corrupted.I have found that if I open one of the files in Audacity, then simpley export it back again, the file plays in Sonos.I have contacted the Sonos aupport team, and sent them a diagnostic while one of the tracks is playing, and they confirm multiple errors, so it appears that it is something to do with the Codec and how Sonos is interpreting it.I do not want to have to manually read and export every file via Audacity, so any suggestions using other software where I can perform a batch reconversion would be appreciated.

Sonos amp and connect gen1 set up and work perfectly Set up: amp to 2 passive 3rd party speakers and 3rd party powered sub. hard line out from headphone jack on lenovo laptop to phono in on amp. TV line out HDMI arc to hdmi in on amp. Everything works perfectly. Connect gen 1 system not set up yet so Connect gen 1 is idle at the moment. Ethernet from sonos amp, connect gen 1 and laptop to router. Router is Wireless 7 from spectrum.HDMI wireless transmitter /receiver was already set up and working with transmitter out on laptop hdmi to remote tv hdmi in (not arc). Doesn’t work Is this a channel problem?….I even tried a new alternate hdmi wireless /transmitter/receiver….same problem...won’t pair...the alternate had 5 channel selection….none worked....would not pair...Any ideas?

Sonos “Play” goes to sleep when not being used to conserve the battery. Is there any method remotely awakening it rather than having to push the “on” button the the speaker?

I raised a ticket more than a month ago and at first Sonos tried to fix the issue - now I am stuck with no apple music library, SONOS ignoring emails and then telling me engineers are working on it - in the meantime apple keeps updating and SONOS do nothing to fix this issue - surely I am not alone??? I cannot access my music library at all 

I have a wireless Play:1, a wifi router with a SIM connection, a wired raspberry pi (wired to the router), several wirelessly connecting laptops and several also wirelessly connected phones.The raspberry pi contains an mp3 library and the Sonos app on a phone correctly sees this library and also soundcloud and spotify is connected correctly to the Sonos app.The problem is that through the Sonos app if I play soundcloud or spotify all songs stop after 10-15 seconds and keep skipping.It’s not a bandwidth or speed or connection issue for sure because:From the same phone I can play the mp3 library on the raspberry pi which also connects to the Sonos Play:1 through the wifi router. Ever since I saw the strap on the back of the Play, I thought it would be convenient to be able to hang the Play from a hook.  If you’re commonly using the Play in your backyard, or anywhere really that’s not it’s charging home, and don’t want place on a surface, a hook is a good option.The main problem with this is that the strap is 90% degrees the wrong direction.  Using that with typical hook is going to have the Play facing the wrong direction, or if against a wall, twist the strap in a way that puts unnecessary strain.   Adding a carabiner, or something similar, between the Paly and Hook would fix this issue.  However, all the carabiner’s I’ve seen have a curved surface.  Maybe not an issue, but that would likely mean the strap doesn’t lay evenly in the carabiner, and puts more strain on the edges of the Play strap rather than evenly across the entire strap. Perhaps not an issue, and the strap won’t eventually tear, however, I’m wondering if there is a better devi
