Hi allI thought I would start a thread about this since there are a lot of people with this issue looking for answers. There is currently an issue with the Asus firmware and Sonos devices set up in Home Theatre mode where Guest Network Pro has been activated on the router. For my setup it is the Arc paired with a Sub and Two ERA 300’s; however, many other setups also seem to be affected. Here is a long thread which I have been running where the process has been documented. Today Asus provided me with a Beta firmware which seems to have solved the issue. I’ve added 2 Spotify accounts to my Sonos app, is there a way to switch between the accounts on the speakers without manually going onto the app to switch them? It had me nickname each account, is that a way to switch between linked accounts? 

G’day from Australia,New to forum here, so apologies if this has been covered elsewhere.I have recently invested in Sonos Era 1 speakers, Sub Mini to go with existing Beam Gen 1 setup.I want to use the the setup for both music and home theatre, so currently music utilises the Era 100’s and the Sub, which is fine for my needs at present. However, as the Tv is only connected to the Beam, do I always have to reconfigure the Era speakers and sub, if I want to use them for the Home Theatre set-up.Or can I just create different rooms, even though they are all part of a 5.1 system in reality?Hope this makes sense!Cheers

I have two  Sono​​​s sound bars a Ray and ​​​​Beam V2 and I understand the Ray has limited audio options and is showing Dolby Digital 5.1. What I’d like to understand is what formats should be showing for my Beam v2 and what's the best option?I think I used to see Dolby Atmos when using my Netflix Premium account which I no longer have so not expecting to see this any more.It is showing Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 is PCM good or bad I’m sure I’ve seen Dolby Digital Multichannel 5.1. or Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. So which is the best option Dolby Digital Plus 5.1, Dolby Multichannel 5.1 or Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1I was trying to test Atmos using Youtube test clips but Dolby Atmos was never displayed. The formats listed by Sonos do not tally with what is shown in the app:Dolby Digital Plus Dolby Atmos (Dolby Digital Plus) Dolby Atmos* Dolby TrueHD* Dolby Atmos (True HD)* Multichanne

Just learned about setting up a surround sound system in my basement. I have an arc ultra at the tv, 2 era300s front L&R of TV, sub gen4, and amp with 2 sonance celling speakers as R&L rear surrounds is there a better configuration to take full advantage of Dolby atmos or surround sound setup in general? 

I have an issue with the S2 controller where the music library keeps showing zero songs in it even though the music file share is still registered in the Sonos app. The app recommends a workaround (in my opinion) to re-add the library again. I’ve been doing this for some time now it’s getting silly. Once I re-add the library everything is fine again but not for long…I see numerous other posts about this issue dating back a year and that the Sons response is we ‘consider’ it fixed in the latest update. My system is up-to-date as of 4th Jan 2026 and I can tell you it is very much still an issue.

Hello,I noticed the following issues just after upgrading my Ace headphones to the 3.9.9 FWPop artefacts from the ANC when working on my computer, it’s related to the ‘click’ sound of my mouse and to the keyboard keys sound. I get that issue with Adaptative ANC ON and OFF (I’m aware of the well knowed ANC pop artefacts with some specific sounds, but this one only appeard after the update)Audio artefacts when using aptX Adaptative in ‘low latency’ mode, it’s partially fixed by switching the bluetooth connection mode to “multipoint”, but i still get some artefacts from time to time. I’ve already performed a factory reset, but it didn’t help.Is there any where to downgrade the FW to the previous version ?Thank you.

I am selecting an album from Apple Music, through the Sonos app. Very often I get the message “Couldn’t play [title]. Couldn’t connect to Apple Music.” This is strange as it affects only the first song on the album and not all songs in the album. Especially for classic music this is so ridiculous as arbitrary movements of a symphony are skipped.

I have read the two earlier postings by Simon_140 on this problem which was not resolved and I wanted to report that I have also been experiencing the same problem.I have an Amazon Echo Dot 2 with the BBC Skill enabled.  In the original configuration, it fed speakers directly via Bluetooth and the “continue” function worked as expected (as it still does).  Recently I added a Sonos Play:1 and configured Alexa to play the Echo Dot 2 through this device.  Since doing this, the “continue” function no longer works.I reported this problem to the BBC but they could not reproduce (I presume they were simply playing direct on the Echo Dot).  Then today I read the threads in this forum by Simon_140 and I realised that my problem was related.  As described by Somon_140 I also find that the same function does not work when I try it from the BBC Sonos S1 app on my Pixel 7 mobile.I assume that when “continue” is requested the URL passed by the BBC skill / app includes a param

I’m unable to connect my beam gen 2 to the Mi Laser Projector 150. I’ve tried connecting the beam gen 2 to the projector’s HDMI 3 (ARC) port but it’s still not working.  Anyone has encountered this issue before?

Hello, after using TruePlay my rear speakers are really loud and greatly over power the front (Arc Ultra). They are only 6” away if I sit on one side of the couch, around 2’ if I sit center (they are in a console table right behind my couch). I know that “Surround Distance” is grayed out after running TruePlay. Am I really just better off not using TruePlay and just setting surround distance to “Less Than 2ft”? Just bummed that I have to sacrifice the TruePlay EQ because it doesn’t reduce the rear surrounds enough.

I have 2 Connect devices (one is located upstairs and the other is downstairs).  I have a CD / SACD / DVD / Blu-Ray player that I would like to connect to my Sonos so that I can listen to my CD / SACD throughout the house.

I’ve started to get Crackle only on Spotify on play 3 and play 1 but not on beam, only on spotify and not any any other service. tried re-locating, re-installing apps, putting everything on same network, different controllers etc.

Received SONY headphones for Xmas.  I am unable to connect to my SONOS system.  Please tell me there is a way to connect.

I have/had two good Sonos systems. One in Texas for nine years fabulous s1 products.  4 Pool side , surround inside subs etc in tv room and  master bedroom, master bath, office, etc.  added a “new” s2 to my Colorado home: extensive .    A family member traveled from on to the other and system said upgrade (similar to regular updates). And now my Texas s1 system is CRAP!  $10,000 investment destroyed by the new “upgrade” /combo of s2/s1 software.   can this be fixed?  Please help! 

I’ve got a Samsung smart monitor with an HDMI-Arc port connected to my Amp. I can get the TV connected via the app and I hear the chime, but no TV audio plays through the speakers. Line-In and regular music play fine. I’m using a very long 50’ HDMI cable because of my room configuration (been buying from Amazon to test and return if needed). This has been my second attempt with a similar cable. I read somewhere that 8K cables don’t send the same signals as lower rez-rated cables. These all have crazy name/ratings like “HDMI 2.1 Cable 50ft White 4K 8K Fiber Optic HDMI Cable [8K@60Hz 4K@120Hz, 48Gbps, Dynamic HDR, HDCP 2.2&2.3, 3D] Compatible with 4090, RX 7900 XTX, Monitor, PS5, Soundbar”. Also read that the length could be the culprit.Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled. The cable says it is directional and I’ve switched both ends but still no change.Has anyone encountered a similar situation, either connection chime but no audio,

I’ve been using a shared drive on Windows 11 for quite a while. The setup for Sonos has always been hinky but it mostly worked. Recently, I have had a bunch of problems crop up more frequently. 913 errors every couple of days, having to reboot and reshare… I’ve tried a handful of things with no luck.Today’s issue relates to streaming a 20 minute song from the shared drive. Multiple times it has stopped mid-song with the error:Saturday, January 3, 2026 - 10:34 AM Central TimeUnable to play 'XXX' - the connection to //YYY/Music was lost.Any fixes for this?

Wondering if it’s possible to use the optimize speakers option with non-Sonos in ceiling speakers and a Sonos amp.the speakers play the high pitched sound, but the app doesn’t pick the speakers up. Fails in multiple rooms. I was reading there as an update many months ago to fix a bug, but I am using the latest app and the amps are all updated.

I have had a Beam with Ones in a stereo pair working rock solid for a few years. I also have a Five and a Move 2 and have had no issues at all. I’ve just added 2x Era 100s and a Sub mini to my setup. The Era 100s are in a stereo pair with the sub in one room (my office)At least once a day, the stereo pair drops/breaks down, with music just coming from one Era 100. The only way i can get it back together is to power cycle the speakers. I use the Sonos app mainly to play music but occasionally use Airplay and my Connect+Turntable. I’ve not noticed any cause+effect with the chosen source and stereo pair drops.My office has the router located in it, so the wifi signal is full strength. I have no other issues with my network or speakers.Any ideas why this is happening and how i resolve it please?

Hi All I have just replaced my creaking Buffalo Linkstation with a shiny new Synology 225+ but I cannot get my Sonos system to see the shared folder for my music. I see there are a large number of threads on this issue as simply enabling SMBv1 doesnt seem to be enough, and a lot of the solutions appear to my reading to be complicated (Ill admit Im not hugely technically proficient) and involve rolling back parts of the NAS operating system etc which Id be quite worried about doing Can any one point me to the simplest/most efficient way of getting this to work please? And apologies again for asking what I know has been asked before, but Im hoping for a simple solution that with my limited understanding I can do.    

I have installed a new Ray with two Play 1 surround speakers and paired the Samsung TV remote and all is working well including the remote volume control. But I have a question that relates to the remote and powering off the Sonos system.Does the Ray have the power on and off functionality and if it does should it power off when switching off the TV, if it should how is this configured ?

HiI have Sonos since around 2017. Since two weeks I have a new computer with Windows 11 and now I am unable to use the Sonos Music Library on the Windows App (Sonos Controller for PC). Error messages:Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Please check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed, are correct. Reason: Access to the shared folder "\\XY" is denied.or"\\XY" is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on, or the path may have changed.What I would like to achieve is to incorporate two folders in my Sonos Music Library (as was before):C:\Music\01-MusicC:\Music\02-MusicNewThe folders are 121 GB and 210 GB in size respectively and shared with a dedicated local Windows user account (no microsoft online account).I am able to access the paths via UNC (e.g. \\MyComputer\01-Music) in Windows Explorer locally as well as

My sonos Sub Gen 3, stopped working when I got a new Wi-Fi set up at home, I have done everything possible, resetting it severally, connecting it and reconnecting it severally as well, I have moved my sonos product to different rooms in the app and created different room as well with no success. Right now the sub shows it’s connected, I can see from the app that my sub is connected but not playing, the sound isn’t coming out and it’s frustrating to me because I like the sounds of the sub when listening to music, it’s just my my Sonos Arc that is working properly.. Please I need  sonos support team to help me sort this out, my visitors are not impressed on New Year celebration because my sub wasn’t working. Please advice me on what to do next..Regards
