Removed Playbar soundbar replaced with Arc.  Can’t get surround play1 speakers to respond  

My iPhone app will not locate a song I know is in my library.  I can go to it via artist or album. But this involves knowing what track is on which album. The PC app goes straight to the song. I’ve tried reindexing from my phone but no joy. Any ideas gratefully received.

Some users have indicated they hear popping noises or awkwardly low volume levels on certain channels, specifically with 5.1-channel content."When I open my SONOS App it now shows that EVERYTHING I play from ATV is in Dolby Atmos, these are TV programs that I am 100% sure are not played in Atmos.It says: “Apple TV uses a Dolby MAT connection for glitch-free playback across formats. Older receivers may indicate an Atmos connection, but original mixes will not be modified.” I know it's a beta but it will be interesting to follow and see if they fix the bug.The article can be read here:

Hi everyone, I’ve been doing some sound tests with my Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub Mini + two Ones setup and noticed something interesting.When I use the Netflix app directly on my Samsung Q95T TV, the Sonos app reports Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1.When I use Netflix on my Apple TV 4K (3rd gen), Sonos reports Dolby Digital 5.1 instead.On the TV, HDMI audio is set to Auto (no passthrough option available), and HDMI eARC is enabled.To my ears, the audio from the TV’s built-in Netflix app sounds more “powerful” compared to the Apple TV. So I’m wondering:Which format is technically better: Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1? Is one higher quality than the other? Are there any settings I should tweak on the TV or Apple TV to get the best possible audio?

HiI’m wondering, how do I get the Sonos Five to not go on standby on line in? The default behavior is that the Sonos stops playing within 30 seconds or so if it doesn’t detect a signal.  However, getting out of standby takes a good 2-5 seconds. I’m using the Five pair as computer speakers and it is incredibly annoying to use them on video calls because the speaker keeps going on standby and I miss the first 2-3 seconds every time the other person talks. I’ve found that if I go to “Your Sources” → line-in → select Sonos Five, then it would avoid going on standby for longer, maybe an hour? But then it goes on standby again, and I have to do this again. How do I stop the speaker from going on standby? I want it to be always on so I never miss the first few seconds of audio whenever I play something. Thanks

The app on my phone is up to date and I can now save the queue to a playlist but I still cannot  configure the app to sort my music library by album artist (which was supposedly reintroduced in the early December update).Any thoughts on why this seems to be missing?  

At issue the multiple lines for single compilation Albums that still has not been fixed.I know this has been “answered” multiple times...incorrectly.  Not a feature...a mistake. Music players all over the market work for album compilations, without users having to alter meta data...even free ones...except Sonos.I love Sonos.  I have a library of over 14,000 items.  No I shouldn't have to change those.Please, reconsider correcting the database method that has led to this problem.Thank you for reconsidering.

Can someone tell me how i can get the Sonus to always link to the TV as a source.I have two issues:when the TV goes into standby, and then is turned on again, the Beam does not seem to pick p the TV, and the sound goes through the TV speakers. I have to turn off the Sonos, and then turn it on again how do I toggle between streaming music and the TV. If I stream music, and then I want to switch back to TV, I can’t work out how to do thisI can’t see any setting in the app - I have a Sony Bravia  3 TV 

Spotify recently added Dolby Atmos for premium service customers. When I play music on my Sonos app is there an indication that Dolby Atmos is playing? I don’t see any indication that the song/album that’s playing is in DA. When I play music from Spotify app on my iPhone on bottom left it shows lossless, not DA.

Hi all, I’m having inconsistent volume control with my setup and would appreciate any advice. Equipment:TV: LG Nano866NA (2020 model)TV software: webOS 04.63.25Soundbar: Sonos Playbar (connected via optical)Remote: LG Magic Remote (also tested with brand new replacement) Issue:The LG on-screen volume graphic appears every time I press volume up/down, but the Playbar responds inconsistently from normal seating distance. If I stand close to the Playbar, volume works reliably. I'm going to try to figure out the Sonos connections to surrounds. I'm starting with my main Rooms powered up and updated. I also have a Home Theater Room that has been powered down for a month or so which is what I'll be working with first. It has a Beam gen 1, Sub gen 2 and two One SLs.Initially the Room and speakers aren't visible in the Android app, main Room lists or the About page, they have been powered down long enough to be removed.Powering up just the surrounds, they are still not visible in any app lists, but if I do an update check I am told one is needed. I do not have the 2.4 gHz Sonosnet enabled here and the Beam is powered down so they must be connecting to my home Wi-Fi on my 5 gHz band in order for the app to see the update status. The AP access log confirms this connection and shows it became active soon after I powered the surrounds up. The log also shows they are communicating using the link.Running the update, both One SLs go through

I saw that my surrounds and sub were showing as not connected in the app and were just showing up as “product”. These were all working fine until very recently. The arc is still showing up but nothing else is. There is also no sounds coming from the surrounds when I am watching TV. I tried to reset the system and even did a full factory reset on each component including the arc. I started by re-adding the Sonos 1 SL’s each to the app followed by the sub. That worked fine and they were showing up. After I added the arc everything was still showing up happy in the app. Once I connected the surrounds and the sub to the arc they went back to showing as “product” and not being connected with no sound coming out. How do I fix this? It’s infuriating.

Hello,I noticed the following issues just after upgrading my Ace headphones to the 3.9.9 FWPop artefacts from the ANC when working on my computer, it’s related to the ‘click’ sound of my mouse and to the keyboard keys sound. I get that issue with Adaptative ANC ON and OFF (I’m aware of the well knowed ANC pop artefacts with some specific sounds, but this one only appeard after the update)Audio artefacts when using aptX Adaptative in ‘low latency’ mode, it’s partially fixed by switching the bluetooth connection mode to “multipoint”, but i still get some artefacts from time to time. I’ve already performed a factory reset, but it didn’t help.Is there any where to downgrade the FW to the previous version ?Thank you.

Just bought a pair of new Eras 100 from COSTCO Canada.  The bluetooth streaming from my phone works just fine.  No luck with the NAS ...My NAS pathname entered into the app is as follows (in the add music folder section):\\192.168.xxx.xxx\Where “xxx” are 1 to 3 numeric digits of the remainder of the full path - it is an IP address of which it is identical on my MacBook and Windwos PCs.After entering my user ID and password, It won’t let me click/tap done on the screen?  There is no error message.Am I missing something obvious?Background: My iPhone is running iOS 26.3; I have a 2024 Macbook Pro with an M4Pro cpu; My NAS is Asus6702T-A613 (18TB, RAID1) using ADM version 5.1.3 and SMB3 highest and SMB2 lowest.

I’m at my wits end trying to find a set up that doesn’t just trade one issue for another.I have the following sonos speakers: 2 Era 100, 1 Sonos:One, and 1 Roam.Starting summer 2025, i started having issues where speakers would show on the sonos app, but i could not play on them either via airplay or the app. they’d show, but there would be no volume control either. It particularly affected the two Eras, then the Roam, and eventually started impacting the One as well.On advice from Sonos, i bought a wireless extender/access point (TP Link RE315) to give the speakers a fixed access point. it was originally set up in extender mode, so had its own SSID (wifi-ext). To be able to airplay between devices without constant SSID (wifi and wifi-ext) switching on my phone and ipad, most things were moved to the new SSID (wifi-ext). this solved the issue, but started experiencing streaming issues on appletv due to fact the wifi speeds wer

I have changed nothing, have always been able to control volume on arc ultra through my nvidia shield remote and tv remote now after update i can only adjust it from the app when I use the other remotes I get the white light like usual on the soundbar but nothing changes, I hope this bug or issue gets solved quickly as it's annoying to go into the app everytime especially when youtube has a different volume than everything else and I have to adjust a lot

I am wanting to connect 3 Sonos speakers (2 x era 100 and 1 x era 300) to my iPhone to play music for a party. the wireless signal in my house isn’t great and when the speakers are spread out in different rooms they constantly drop out. I am hoping that I can hard wire them to an iPhone to successfully play music for a party. Any idea what wires / adapters I would need to buy and how to connect them all together!? 

Hi guys. This isn’t a query regarding the arc ultra as such but I’m wondering if anyone is playing MKV files from Infuse Pro. I can get audio via airplay from my MacBook Pro to my Sony Bravia tv/arc ultra but it’s not Atmos. Video will not play at all. I’m obviously missing something (apart from the knowledge what to do) but it’s getting increasingly frustrating. Without getting too technical (as I won’t have a clue) has anyone had similar experiences and/or solutions. Many thanks. 

Will try to be as descriptive as possible without being confusing.  Need a little help and/or explanation.  In a vacation home I had 1 pair of Era 100, 1 pair of One SL, a Beam and mini sub.  I currently upgraded the vacation home to 1 pair of Fives, 1 pair of Era 300, the Arc Ultra and Gen 4 sub.  I kept the pairs of Era 100 and One SL in the vacation home and put them in 2 different rooms and have them set up and they are working.  I posted the question about speaker placement about a month ago but I haven’t had the chance to finish setting up everything else yet.  I ended up taking the Beam and the mini sub from the vacation home to my permanent home to use in the basement.  At my permanent home I use the Sonos S1 app while in the vacation home I use the Sonos app.  My question is, since the beam and mini sub were setup on the Sonos app can I set up them up for use in the basement on the Sonos app using my home network?  And by doing so will I screw up anything with on the Sonos
