Hello,I live in British Columbia where we recently stopped the semi-annual time change - we are now permanently in Daylight Saving Time. I turned off the Adjust for Daylight Saving Time settings so that my system no longer changes, but then my alarms started going off an hour late. The time zone is correct, although it says GMT-8 when we are actually GMT-7. I turned the setting back on, and the alarms are now going off at the right time. But I’m concerned that with the setting enabled, my alarms will go off an hour early in November after the time changes again for those regions that still observe the time change. Is there a fix for this? It seems like a bug. 

Has anyone else noticed occasional delays or random speaker grouping issues in the Sonos app lately?My setup usually works great, but recently I’ve been getting small lag/delay issues when grouping rooms or starting playback. Curious if others are seeing the same thing or if it’s just my setup.

Hi All,Looking for help about my issue about firmware update.I have several Play:1 and Play:5. 2 days ago, I moved a pair of 5s in another room. This is where the problem occured. Right after plugging in, one for the speakers in a pair asked for an update and disconnected from the pair. I tried updating, but the update always get an error 30. Here are the things I tried and used different devices in doing it just to isolate my phone or tablet. 1. Connected via ethernet - error 302. Wifi - error 303. Reboot my router and disabled all fw - error 304. Reset to factory the play:5 while using ethernet cable - error 305. Fresh Installed the play 5 in a new S1 environment system as a new room while directly connected to my router - error 306. Turned off all my other sonos speakers, used a new app and membered the play:5 in an existing system - error 30I have been trying to troubleshoot this for 2 days now. I did report thru Son

Hi.Latest update may 2026 I'm finding app a little slow and no hd badge showing on any of my speakers for some reason.Anybody had same issue as of latest update.I get 500mb speed and 51 upload so not a network issue.

Can I connect Sonos one to more recent Sonos speakers ?

A while ago I created this post: This is still a problem. For several games, if not all games, the volume is not how it should be. In the game Metaphor, dialoge form the sides are much louder than from the center. In other games, certain sounds seem too loud. These problems are especially bad when using Dolby Atmos on PS5, but also a problem in Linear PCM, in some cases just as bad like with the Metaphor example. I have tried several combinations without luck. This is not an issue with the TV or PS5 because this is not an issue with the TV audio. I am using passthrough on the TV and device type soundbar on PS5, but tested multiple combinations. So I purchased an Sonos Arc Ultra.  Since I’m stuck in a hotel due to a flood in my home I can’t complete the wifi setup (can’t do it with hotel wifi).  I’ve tried the ‘create a hotspot’ trick, but the app doesn’t see the hotspot yet all my other devices do.If I were to bring my speaker to a friends home to connect to his wifi and complete the set up on the Sonos app, can I then bring it back to the hotel I’m staying at keep the connection to my phone/computer via Bluetooth or will it again ask to be set up?  I would really like to use it to listen to music and test out various settings while I’m staying at the hotel.  I could be here for a couple more months.  It was purchased due to my insurance claim and it was on a wicked sale and couldn’t pass it up.Thanking you all in advance. 🤘🏼🍻 Cheers!

True play has gone missing on my app how do I get it back 

I just purchased three ROAM SLs that were listed as “new” on a big box electronic store website but sold through a third party “marketplace seller”.  While attempting setup on one unit I kept encountering numerous errors (Errors 36 and 1032/1002 on mobile,  888 on the windows desktop app...), all of which suggested a hangup in software/firmware updates. Ok, no sweat I thought - we’ll just perform a reset per community instructions. However, when the time came to unplug the unit to perform the reset, the Sonos just blacked out. I thought maybe the battery fully depleted so I plugged it in to adequate charger per Sonos instructions - 1 hour, 2 hours, overnight. No matter what, the unit would only turn on if plugged in - and even then, no sound from the unit itself. That had me thinking perhaps I had 1 bad unit - but this exact issue presented on each of the 3 Roams I purchased. This is a problem I’ve been having for several weeks.  I do not know what changed to cause it. Setup:  Sonos 2 connect, Synology NAS, .all wired, m3u playlistsAll software/’firmware is up-to-date and use various controller devices (macOS, Windows, Android).  NAS has SMB 2 & 3 enabled and access is via admin level user name & password.  Problem:I queue-up the playlist and many of the songs are skipped with the message:“the share //Syn_NAS/Music” does not exist”. Some songs play, and they are in that same library/folder as ones that are skipped and don’t play.  The entries in the .m3u playlist file appear the same (format, location, etc) for the ones that play as the ones that don’t play..Fixes tried (none worked):Tried using IP of NAS instead of folder name Removed and re-added the share Rebooted router, NAS, Sonos ConnectConsidering alte

Hi, i have a Sonos Roam 2 and sometimes the Sonos Roam 2 is out of reach. So if the speaker powers off i have to go reach for it and turn it on, so i asked Sonos to add a power on/off setting from the app. Does anyone else think this would be useful? It is annoying when the speaker is out of reach and you either have to power it on or off. Therefore i think this would be very useful.

The wifi I am trying to connect to does not have a password. It requires me to open a link and and accept the connectivity terms. Is there a way to a complish this through the app??

I often listen to podcasts via the Pocket Casts service in Sonos and whenever I’m done with one episode and try to play a new episode, I get a an error. The only way I can listen to a new episode is the completely clear the queue first, and then go choose the new episode.This happens every time.I typically listen to a daily Mon-Fri podcast and each day’s episode is comprised of a 5 separate options to choose from in the app (Full show, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part4), so my assumption is that the queue is getting completely filled automatically and then a Sonos app bug is preventing any more things being added to queue, unless there is a setting I’m missing somewhere.Anyone else experience this? 

Hello,I have a Sonos Playbase that has been presenting multiple issues that have made it impossible to use anymore. It first started to drop out playing TV audio over the optical cable (which replacing the cable did not fix). I then tried a factory reset and which has now caused issues trying to get it joined back to my home system. It doesn’t want to connect over WiFi at all. Instead, I’ve connected it to the network via Ethernet and got it to show up in the Sonos app as an available speaker to add. My phone will join its local WiFi network and listen for the initialisation/pairing sound but despite many attempts it will either fail to play any sound or play it for a fraction of a second and then go silent. This has rendered the speaker completely unusable.  Do you have any other recommendations of what I could try? Many thanks! 

Hello, my music will go in and out, sometimes with several minutes of nothing before playing again. How can I address this for smooth playback?  thank you. 

We have 8 Sonos amps setup behind TVs throughout a house.  4 of these are connected to TVs VIA hdmi arc.  All the tv locations work fine as tv locations however group play is broken.  We cannot add the TV zones to music playing on the other zones or vice versa.  Is this a known issue?  We have followed white papers on setup for UniFi WiFi, all Sonos are on WiFi.  TV auto sync is on and music grouping is on. When you play music you cannot just add other zones zones to playback. It adds then removes itself so group play is basically broken.

Against my instincts due to the long works with the Sonos app and the history etc I purchased the Ace today in the airport. First use after updating to firmware 3.9.9 and the left ear is making a pulsing fluttering effect from the ANC. ANC switched off. No problem. It's exactly like driving on the highway with the window cracked open and you get that resonance.  In short the headphones are useless in this state. The ANC can't be used so they are dud. Is there a fix?Impossible to return to the shop as it's in the airport and I've flown to my destination. What didn't I listen to my gut?Thanks.

Hi All.  I have used Sonos forever and have about 15 speakers.  Mostly Play1s and 5s and surround sound etc.I’m building a new house and wondered what the reviews are like re the ceiling speakers.I like the music pretty loud and clear with bass but am hesitant to move from my usual mobile plug in speakers which I am used to a fixed option.Are they worth it?  Does the sound compare to the Play 1s and 5s?My ceilings are 9 ft tall.  I’m assuming they are decent sounding but how decent?  Trying to get my head around the ideaThanks in advanceAndrew 

community. i see a dead 4 years ago entry regarding the PIN sonos assigns to each Sonos amp to be use in setup-what a ridiculous step!!  larger installations make this sooopainful.i have customers with 10-16 audio zone amps in a rack.transferring ownership- having to factory defaultresetting 16 of these in a rack is a time consuming task.getting access to these PINs is such a headache.u have to disconnect everyone of these ampsin order to read those pins to reset them up under thenew owner. i cannot believe sonos has not found another simplersolution to getting to those PINscompletely criminal that you force this onto yourcustomer’s and installers..
