Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi, for the last 3 weeks or so Sonos is constantly dropping out and losing connection. Sometimes it skips through tracks, other times it just stops playing. I also can not connect to Sonos speakers via the Spotify app. This all worked before and we haven’t changed our internet setup. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to fix it? 

I have a Sony Bravia 8. At first my tv remote was syncing with the Sonos Arc Ultra, but now it is not.  

I bought a new tv, Samsung the Fram Pro 2025, and connected it to my Beam 2 using eARC. I also have a Connect:Amp in my system that connects my back speakers to the system plus a Sonos Mini sub. I can´t get Atmos whatever I play on the TV. In the Sonos app I only get Dolby Digital 5.1.  I use the HDMI-cable that came with the Beam 2 and it is connected to the eARC-port on the wireless one connect box.  I have tried Netflix with a Premium account, a Prime and a HBO account and no Atmos. Any ideas what I can do to get it to work?

Hi, hopefully you can help me out here. I was able to connect my Arc, 2 Era 300s and the sub 3 in my network having 2.4ghz with WPA/WPA2 authentication as it is the bare minimum requirement. First step was connect my sub to a room, which is with my Arc. after connecting, it says that the Product is not connected. which is weird.I tried to setup the surround with my 2 Era speakers and Arc, still ended up with the same error message on both Era speakers. I have also added their IP & MAC adresses as dedicated devices under the DHCP list and still got the same error messages and result of not having all of them turned on.. except for the Arc itself.  Basically I did the LAN cable thing and yes it worked but I cannot affort to have my cable running across the floor as it was only a test. I rang up the support which they said its a DHCP issue, which I never had before after their upgrade of my sonos products recentl

I’m a very satisfied user of Sonos, having a surround system with a Beam and two Era 100, plus two other Era 100 in other rooms. BUT… there is one thing that annoys me very much with the TV surround setting. There is no way to choose for a setting where the sound would come out in the same way from all the speakers. This means that when you look at TV shows, sometimes the sound comes only out of the front center Beam speaker when there is mainly speech, and then all of a sudden there is some background music in the show and then only it comes out of the rear Era speakers. Even worse when I listen to a music concert on TV, the speech (singing) comes only from the front center speaker (with some music) and only music is coming out of the rear speakers. Sorry but for me this is very disturbing and not at all the right music experience. So my simple question is to Sonos: just foresee a setting for TV sound where the sound comes out of all speakers unprocessed or unfiltered in the same w

Is there a reason that my music library indexing in my Sonos S1 is becoming unreliable?  A couple of months ago, I noticed that new additions to the library were not showing up after indexing.  The bug continues, as I just copied several albums to my NAS drive, indexed the volume, and could not find any of the new items when I searched on any of the criteria (Artist, Song, Composer, Folder, etc.). After a couple of restarts and several re-indexing attempts, some songs/albums appeared in my searches, but not all.  The songs were all from the same copying-over pass, they were all valid tunes from Apple Music, and they were all .m4a files.  Nothing different between them, but some showed up and some didn’t.  I have now restarted my Mac and rebooted the NAS drive again, and done another indexing pass, and, finally, all of my most recent music files appear in my search.So, the question is: why is this happening, and is this the new normal for “old” S1 systems using a NAS?

Hi allehat settings on the equaliser would you normally have?currently treble is +9 and bass -3 I know it’s personal preference but is there a rough guide for tv, music fiilms etc please 

I have several ROAM and ERAs in my home system. One of my ROAM started playing at supper low volume. Maxing it out, either manually or through the app, it doesn't play at even half the volume as other ROAMs in my system. What could the issue be?

Hey all, I have 6 sonos speakers set up in my reception, but recently ive been having the issue of them unsyncing, and some speakers playing music whilst others arent. What can I do to fix this?

 I think it would be better if there was more space for a track name in the queue.  If the three lines used to move tracks were hidden until an Edit command ( added to the 3 dot menu ) was available.  That new Edit command would bring up the 3 lines that allow the moving of a track.  Another option would be a smaller font size for the track names. You can see in the screenshot of Nielsen symphonies where you cannot see what the symphony number is.  If the 3 lines were not there that symphony number might show.  Another issue with having the 3 lines always there is when I scroll on occasion I’ll accidentally move a track. 

We have had our Sono system for years and it's been great. We recently had a new router installed and I’ve been having troubles ever since.After doing some research online it looked like the wifi bands being synchronised may have been the issue as Sonos primarily operates at 2.4GHz. I have spilt the bands on our router and connected the Sonos and my phone to the 2.4GHz but I’m still having issues.Every time I try and play anything the error message “ Unable to play - network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer” showsI have the two play 3’s and play 5 with a bridge but nothing is connected directly to the router as they are all quite far away from it Can anyone please help as it's driving me insane, especially as I thought I have cracked it! 

I’ve just spent 4 hours on both on the Sonos chat and then had to call to try and get my system up and running. I’ve upgraded my Vodafone wifi 6E router to WiFi 7 but can only get my 4 x ERA 300 speakers to work. I can’t get the Arc and any of my older speakers to work ie Play one (gen2) x 2 or play 3 and Play 5.At the end I was told no they won’t work as our speakers aren’t compatible with WiFi 7 except the ERAs. So I’ve now got a partly obsolete system. I would have expected to be told that within 5 minutes if that’s really the case not 4 hours later after exhausting every avenue. I also asked so if I upgrade to the Arc ultra will it work but apparently it won’t either , I find it hard to believe no one else has had this issue as im sure many people are upgraded to WiFi 7.Has anyone heard if Sonos are addressing this or anyone had similar issues ?

Hello everyone,Lately, I've noticed the volume level seems lower when integrating Sonos and Spotify. I've tested this on several Era 100s, Fives, and Sonos Ones, and I find myself needing to increase the volume significantly compared to last week. Do you know if there have been any recent changes to the Spotify integration volume? This occurs whether using Spotify Connect and the Sonos app. Do you have the same feeling?

Is it possible to pair my Denon RCD-M41DAB to a stero pair of Era 100s? At the moment it doesn’t register the speakers at all, I wondered if it might only be possible to connect to one speaker and not a stero set-up.

Hi. I have been trying to play music on my Era 100 for a good while now, and it just won’t. It can connect to my phone, and my phone says it’s working and playing music through it, but no sound will come out. I tried turning it on and off, without any success. If it can help solving my problem, I’m using Spotify and am on iOS 18.6.2.

Can I add the sonos app to a second phone and then add my system there also? 

YouTube and Spotify both use Opus (Vorbis container) as their main codec, using AAC (MP4/M4A container) as a lower quality fallback.YouTube also only offers it's Stable Volume feature in Opus, via DRC. I keep getting the message “Access denied” or “Content is unavailable” and cannot play the music I want to.Why?

I have a complicated issue. I have a 65” Samsung TV that is connected to my Sonos whole-house audio system via ethernet and a BINARY B-260-ARC adapter. When connected via HDMI eARC port to the Binary component, the resulting sound cuts out every 2-3 seconds. (Sound works fine when using TV speakers or when connected directly to a soundbar.) I have replaced all connected components and cables. Samsung has verified that TV is working properly. One tech told me that Samsung has a known defect that often causes intermittent issues with Sonos (unverified). Any thoughts on how to overcome this problem?

My Play:5 Gen1 has no sound coming from the mid-range speakers. Bass and tweeters are working fine.The main PCB shows the 5 x output caps are all bulging. I’ll get those changed.Also Q27304 is cracked so I assume failed.The IC is SOIC6. The marking on the top is M05A; which I think is a package code for SOIC6.But what is the IC?Any help appreciatedRay 

Hi All,  New Sonos ERA-100 set-up issue. I cannot get my cellphone to Bluetooth to pair will speakers.But!  But I have been able to do it with my laptop. My goal is to stream music from non-Sonos sources. Any suggestions?  Thanks! 

I have a Sonos Arc system, two Era300s, and a Gen3 subwoofer. I'd like to have a button within the surround sound speaker options that allows me to set it to full surround sound mode for TV sources when they're PCM stereo 2.0. Just like with music, this is disabled if it detects a 5.1 source, Atmos, etc. This way, we could play any YouTube content or Spotify music on the TV in full surround sound. It would just need to be added to the Sonos app, and users could enable it. Disabled, it would work the same as it does now.Thanks!
