Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’ve moved into a house with ceiling speakers in the lounge, hallway, kitchen and outside.I have wires coming out the wall in 2 locations I think, one in the lounge and one in the study.What do I need to connect to these wires? Is it a bridge? An Amp? I asked the seller before me, she’s a little clueless but sent me a picture of a Sonos box which said Amp on it.Do you think I need a professional to hook it all up again? Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

*Why did I lose more than half of my speakers? This is just too bad, more than half of my speakers has suddenly lost connection. 

The Play:5 works intermittently, and the longer it’s on the more stable it gets, even to the point of no interruptions. 

As of a couple days ago I can no longer connect to PLEX.   I get“Something went wrong. Try Again” when click on artists from my favoritesand“No content items available” when clicking on Plex iconI can cast to my sonos speakers from the Plex app (not plexamp) on my computer.If gone through all the suggested steps I could find from the internet.  I guess my question is to see if anyone else is experiencing it or if it's just me (and for how long).  If its everyone, then hopefully its (another) screw up and they’ll get around to fixing it eventually. super frustrating that something that has worked for years just stopped working especially when its the reason I went with Sonos.

The Sonos app on Android does not opt-in to per-app language settings. Coupled with the lack of an in-app language selection setting, this means users are forced to use whatever language is first matched to the device’s language preferences, something that is often not preferred for users of multi-lingual device configurations like myself. On Android, the OS offers per-app lanuage support that uses the existing language resources and doesn’t require any in-app additional features to be added. Enabling this option is a simple configuration change to the project config, as documented in the developer docs here:https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/app-languages?hl=en#auto-localeconfig Please add support for this so we can choose our app language!

Both of my Play 3 speakers quit working around the same time and now wont turn on. I have tried the factory reset by unplugging, holding the play button and plugging back in. No luck and no light with either one. Any suggestions? Thank you,

Well BBC Radio 4 and all the other stations no longer list in SONOS or in TUNEIN. As of this morning (8 am EDT)  I have R4 set as an alarm and it worked yesterday and today not. BBC Sounds does not show up in services. NONE of the BBC stations show in SONOS Radio or in TUNEIN In the TUNEIN app on my iPhone to which I have a paid subscription BBC Radio 4 now shows the following message.     Regional Restrictions    This station is not available in your region. Honestly this is so upsetting … BBC itself said that BBC RADIO 4 and WORLD SERVICE would be available TO ALL ANYWHERE.  And now they are taking it away ???That is the article where they said that https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8j1m721mp2o“The BBC has said its radio stations will continue to be available for people outside the UK to listen to live after BBC Sounds access is restricted for international listeners.The BBC said listening to BBC audio programming on non-BBC platforms would not be affected by the change.”There is no

System was working decently and prompted for a required update yesterday (10/09/2025).  Since the update, I pretty much have a bricked system.  Takes several minutes for any app (desktop, iphone, etc.) to connect to system, but once connected, insanely slow and wont connect to any of the speakers or streaming services.  System has been rendered useless since update.  A look at reviews in the app stores over the last few days shows the same. It has gotten insanely ridiculous with SONOS.  If it wasn’t for having invested thousands into their ecosystem that is integrated into each room in my house, I would gut it and go with something else. At this point, it feels as if SONOS is just screwing with their customers.  Honestly, they probably lost any good engineers and coders they had and went with folks that only know how to vibe code - garbage in = garbage out. SONOS… is there a hotfix on the way to at least make our systems functional again?!

One-week-old Sonos Arc Ultra makes a noticeable popping sound when navigating in/out of content. It’s not the loud pop reported earlier this year, but still audible and annoying. Factory reset twice with no change. Happens with all content types (stereo, 5.1, Atmos, YouTube, Netflix, etc.). Setup: Apple TV 4K, LG C1, bitstream input, passthrough output, eARC, Sonos HDMI cable. The subject of Era 300 drivers being silent in a particular use case has been broached in this community many times. Anyone else having issues streaming BBC radio since Nov 1 is USA. No longer working on Sonos or tunein. I have tried via sonos speaker, also tried direct with tunein and access seems to be terminated, maybe licensing issue. I have managed to access it through mytuner radio but it’s not as slick. BBC sounds app is no longer available outside of UK. Help!

Hey up until today I’ve had no issues listening to BBC 6 Music through the Sonos Radio app but now it’s saying “Couldn’t Play Content, Try later” Anyone know how to fix this?

I’ve been reading a lot of information here, on Reddit, on Synology’s site (my router is Synology), and on Apple’s communities. I’ve also done many web searches and AI chats. Finally, I chatted with Sonos support and talked by phone (lots of time spent). The Sonos support included sending diagnostics a few minutes after the problem on three different occasions. Most recently, I did some digging with the help of Airplay documentation and searches. What I’ve found is that my Arc Ultra and Era 300s do not appear to be advertising AirPlay via mDNS correctly. My Sonos Amp is working fine. Here are technical details:SummaryMy Sonos Arc Ultra ("Bedroom") is advertising its AirPlay service via mDNS, but it consistently uses flags=0x4 instead of the expected 0x804. I’ve seen variations of this problem specifically with spotify going back at least 4 years. Does anyone yet know if this is a sonos or spotify issue? In my case the service connects fine, but after 3 or 4 songs sonos starts skipping songs with a “file not found” error, and eventually stops after skipping several. I can correct it by manually pushing play on any song on the playlist and it resumes fine (for a short time).Based on what I’ve read elsewhere a few clarifications:affects both spotify only and mixed source playlists when spotify songs are included (and only breaks on spoitfy songs). I’m using spotify as the service within the sonos app. Phone or PC app does not make a difference. Hi  I’ve been trying to add YT Music to Sonos S1 app but I’m getting Connection Error.  I’ve tried multiple times, logged out from the app and logged in again, uninstalled the Sonos S1 app and installed again.  Nothing helped.  I have other services added, Sverige Radio, Spotify, SoundCloud andd TuneIn.  Please advise how to resolve adding the YT Music service.Rgrds://Ingvaldur

They’ve had a long time to fix it, but its still unstable and lack elemental features. Have they learnt nothing? After trying to connect a new unit several times today I was left with several new rooms in the app, all unavailable because the unit crashes, but I can’t delete the rooms because the unit is not connected. Huh? Basic UX principles should be applied. 

My S1 set up includes 3 x S5 speakers. 2 are set up as a stereo pair and the 3rd as single room speaker. Over the past few weeks these speakers have started continually dropping their volume when the system is first used in the morning. Increasing the volume works, either by using the app or the volume buttons on the speakers, and corrects the volume for a short while and then it drops again. At the same time the lights briefly flash orange before returning to static white once the volume has dropped.  After an hour or so of use this settles down and the volume remains stable for the rest of the day. The other speakers in the system are not affected, several x  Play 1 and a Beam. I have tried unplugging them for a short while before plugging them back in and several times unplugged all the speakers and router but this hasn’t improved the issue. I also have a Roam which operates separately using the new App.All system updates have been made. Curious why this should have suddenly started

Recently, I’ve had trouble with nbc—I can’t hear the sound from the sports announcers. If the ref speaks, I can hear him. On those same broadcasts, some commercials aren’t playing all the audio either. It had always worked in the past, but stopped a week or two ago. 

Is my SONOS ROAM dead if I have a steady red light at the bottom of the product when plugged for charging? Light goes away when I disconnect the power cord. I have tried a reset but it doesn’t help

For the past couple of months, I’ve been having trouble with Audible. I’ve been an Audible user since 2000, and I’ve played it on Sonos for almost that long. It is only recently that I’ve had a problem. The book will suddenly stop. Sometimes it will start again but at random places. It could pause at 3 minutes into the chapter, then start again at 2 minutes from the end. When it starts again, the timer shows it is still at 3. When it gets to the end, it might go to the next chapter or back to a random place in the chapter.A couple of months ago, it wasn’t this bad. It would just pause and then resume on its own. I thought that one of the speakers heard its wake word. I have two Sonos smart speakers. I also have several Google and Amazon smart speakers around the house. I no longer think that is the problem. That is why I’m asking the community for help.

Hi allmy beam keeps dropping out after a couple hours of watching TV. Connected to 65” Samsung Tv (18months old) sound just disappears and I have to switch it back to TV sound, unplug the beams power, plug back in and it comes back again. All updates have been performed and I’ve even laid 7m Ethernet cable under the floor and wired it in to my router so I know it’s not a WiFi issue.  any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

Når man i app forsøger at starte afspiling stå den bare og tænker. Dernæst fejler den og siger den ikke kan afspille.Har defor forsøgt at fjerne Deezer servicen fra mit sonos system, men der fejler den også, med "Accounts not removed.
