Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

The Sonos website says that Play:3 is compatible with S2 or S1. Several posts in this forum indicate that Play:3 can connect via S2 app. I’m trying to move Play:3 from the S1 app to the S2 app - unsuccessfully. This is what I’ve done so far.S1 app doesn’t have a “forget this system” choice, so I quit the app, and rebooted my Android Galaxy S21 with latest OS. Factory reset Play:3 (lights only ever flash white then go to solid white)Play:3 was also plugged in via Ethernet cable.Started S2 app.Chose Forget this system (I have a sound bar hooked up through S2)Add components.S2 recognizes both sound bar and Play:3Choose Play:3 to connectError message “This component is only compatible with S1 controller:”Sound bar connects fine.  Any ideas? Hello! I feel like my sound system lacks of bass. Is it only me or anyone else that what a bigger sub by Sonos? like a 12inc?

I’ve upgrade my IPad Pro M4 to latest iPadOS 26. When trying to stream music from YouTube to Sonos system via AirPlay/Blutooth, it  get the message “Something went wrong. Tap to retry”. Tap but still doesn’t work. But if I switch back to iPad speaker, works just fine.

I've been experiencing issues for the past few days—possibly since the update that rolled out yesterday. On my iOS device (iOS 18.7), I’m currently unable to enable or disable Trueplay. My setup includes a Beam Gen2, two Era 100s, and a Sub Mini (firmware 80.29.4).When I reboot the Beam Gen2, the Trueplay toggle briefly reappears in the app.However, as soon as I interact with it, the toggle vanishes again.It’s quite odd. Do I need to reset my entire system, or is something else going on?

Hi Community,First time posting on this community but I’m a long suffering Sonos customer!  In the “good old days” if my memory serves me correctly, a “group” was called a “zone”. When we wanted to play the same audio source simultaneously on different zones, the app just copied the source to the various zones but control was independent i.e. you could pause a specific zone or change the volume of the zone and it didn’t impact the rest of the speakers. Now the current iteration is by a far a great improvement in so much as “party mode” (as think it used to be called) is true everywhere play controls house is in sync.  What I am missing however is, what if I want to control a group as part of “everywhere”. For example, “upstairs”, “downstairs” & “garden” each have 3 speakers in them in various rooms. I want to turn “garden” up but leave the rest unchanged - I have to change all three individually within the “playing now” control for “everywhere” - OR because the “garden” group exist

I plug the roam device in and a orange light turns on then after a few seconds it turns off cant seem to set the device up either

Hi. I have a beam and sub in the lounge and era100s in the kitchen and bedroom.The bedroom alarm works brilliantly giving music at the right time every morning. However using the era100 to go to sleep can be a problem. I have developed a long Spotify playlist with my Wife's favourite sleepy tunes and I will use my phone app to start this with a 30 min timer. Often the app says it cannot play the playlist and says something has gone wrong. Last night I managed to get the lounge beam to play the playlist and then I added the bedroom and cancelled the beam. However I could not alter the volume on the bedroom speaker or set a timer. I had to manually reduce the volume using the finger slider and then ask Alexa to set a timer.Do you have any suggestions as to why this era100 is unreliable. The kitchen era works well though I am not using it as a sleep assistant!

​@Corry P  hey, thanks for your help. I’ve updated my router today. I’ve only just managed to get it working. It was a bit complicated (well for me 😂🙈) but I can’t believe how quickly the products connect to it. It makes me think I should have maybe spent a bit more on the router ! I ended up going for the TP-LINK AX53 based on its price range (£59.99) and also its reviews on Amazon. yes I know it’s only been on for an hour but I thought I’d best get on here and say thanks. yes this is all in one post. Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.

Thanks again to the awesome engineers who have ruined SiriusXm playback because of a new cloud service error. This company’s engineers are useless and I have no idea how things get worse and worse but they do. Add it to the Apple Music problem that has been going to for over 2 years.  So maybe by 2030 all this will get sorted out. 

My sub mini has a blinking red light and I'm still able to use it as normal without any issues, but its annoying seeing that its blinking red. I pulled the plug out and did the reset method but it doesn't not go in to factory reset, it just reconnect to my sonos beam but still has the blinking red light. 

Has anyone else out there experienced issues with broken/jammed zipper on their Ace headphones case ???My case has the zipper broken and I have repeatedly contacted Sonos who have promised a replacement but are yet to supply. I have written many times and reply is very limited which has been frustrating.Very disappointing from a premium supplierDoes anyone know of a product that you can buy as to replace this case?

I have Ace headphones that I’d like to connect via TV audio swap to my Klipsch RSB-11 soundbar. The TV is an LG 65-inch Im a little confused as to how, if possible, I can connect the headphones to the soundbar 

I’ve posted on here previously about issues I’ve had when accessing Apple Music using my Sonos Connect.Since I last posted things have only got worse with connection being lost, errors relating to file format, tracks cutting out or not even starting.  Restarting my Sonos Connect seemed to help but fairly soon all the problems came back.I recently made the decision to embark on the Qobuz journey and took a 30 day free account option.Over the last week I’ve tested Qobuz stream using my Sonos Connect A LOT!   I haven’t had any problems using Qobuz whatsoever.That’s not quite true as I had one album where tracks were skipped.  I diagnosed this as a rights problem because it was a movie soundtrack - it was Paris, Texas by Ry Cooder.I’ll still keep my Apple Music subscription because I buy CDs - in order to benefit the artists more (I hope) but I’ll keep this in sync with Qobuz using Soundiiz.First time I’ve been happy with my Sonos kit in ages.

Hi, this is Bart from PolandI have the set of speakers mentioned in the titleI would like to have two set ups - one for movies and one for musicNow I have set the pair of SYMFONISK speakers with SUB  as stereo and ARC as another set up for moviesI realized that actually I can play music or movies on both sets at the same time (with not a bad result)I know that the recommended set up in this case would be ARC + SUB + SYMF (as surround in the back)However my concern is that if I will use this set up, the “stereo experience” will be poor with ARC as the main front speaker and SYMF moved to the back. Or if not poor then at least worse than in case the two SYMF are the main stereo speakers in the frontDid anybody compared both set ups and have some experience or thoughts on this? 

My Sonos One SL and Sonos Beam have recently been unable to Airplay Youtube videos. They still work well with Youtube Music and Spotify and other apps with Airplay. The Youtube videos just turn black with a message “Something went wrong, tap to try again”. These speakers have not had any issues in the past few years. They are all connected to the same Wifi network and have the most updated system software. Is there a fix for this?

Hi, anyone knows the value of this 2 diodes next R1260 and C39. The amp is dead and found IC U28881 was blown. Replaced it  but now the red light is blinking and I believe it’s an indicator for protection. It’s missing 5V switching supply to the IC next to it. Hopefully someone with similar problem can assist me solve this. Thank you in advance. 

I have a country home, where I travel to every month. I recently bought a Move 2 and want to switch the wifi networks between those 2 places continously without forgetting / having to reconfigure the other. Is that possible?

Hello Sonos Team,First of all, thank you for continuously improving the Sonos experience with the S2 app. I really appreciate the smoother interface and the new features it brings.However, I noticed that one important feature from the S1 app is no longer available in S2: the ability to play music stored locally on my phone. In S1, I used this frequently to play tracks directly from my device, but in S2 this option has been removed.I’m not sure why this feature was discontinued, but it was very useful in situations where streaming services are not available, or when I simply want to play my own music library without relying on the internet.Could Sonos please consider bringing this feature back to the S2 app in a future update? I believe many users like me would greatly appreciate having local playback as an option again.Thank you for your time and for listening to community feedback.Best regards,

Hi, wondering if anyone can help. I have a beam and 2 x One SLs set up as surround sounds. One of the SLs appeared to not be on the app so I reset, re-added to my systems as a separate room but it removed my beam from the app.  I reset all of them and found that whenever I now add SLs to the network they wipe my beam from the app. But the beam is still viewable and useable in Spotify. All speakers are up to date.  it anyone has any ideas it’ll be appreciated.thanks 

Hi everyone,I’m running into a strange issue with the Sonos Controller app. When I make changes (like adding songs to a queue, adjusting volume, or grouping rooms) on my phone, the updates don’t always sync to the Controller app on my tablet or desktop. Sometimes it takes a long time to refresh, and other times it doesn’t sync at all unless I force close the app and restart it. I’ve already tried reinstalling the app on both devices, checked that everything is on the same Wi-Fi network, and confirmed both controllers are running the latest version. Still, the problem keeps happening. Has anyone else experienced this syncing issue between different controllers? Is there a setting I might be overlooking, or could this be related to my router/network setup? Please assist as I am not a technical person. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

After again losing the ability to use my play 3 on my sonos network i did the usual; power reset router, power reset play 3 then a factory reset of play 3.  this has notmally worked, sadly not this time, the SONOS app (Iphone) will not connect despite the Play 3 having a green flasing light (it is connected to my router).  Can someone please help?

Hello, is there a way at Sonos to connect 3 or 4 devices (arc ultra, sub 3gen, 2x era 300) simultaneously to a source (TV / Video projector) that will emit sound via Bluetooth? The idea is to be able to use my Sonos sound system as a "home cinema" with a source that emits via Bluetooth. Thank you for your answers and feedback. Arnaud
