I have a Rega P1 Plus turntable output through a switch (also connected to a CD player) into my Sonos Five. The turntable has a preamp built in (no real idea what that means) so I have connected everything instructions say I should connect.
The output does not seem to be particularly crisp (making all my LPs sounding slightly muffled). I thought it was may be the quality of LPs these days but all new vinyl has the same sound quality so it can’t be the LPs. I’ve tried reviewing the compression settings in the Sonos app and replaced the line in cable from the switch to the speaker as this had some damage. Still the same sense that the sound quality still isn’t there.
Any help from others who have had similar problems and solved them would be great.
