Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’m running 2 Sonos Play:5 pairs with a Sonos S1 app (version 11.15.4) on an iMac-m1 on the latest Tahoe 26.2.  I have an ethernet connection to one of my Play:5s.  My audio is coming out of my m3 via USB and then going through a USB->earphone type plug into the Play:5 that has the ethernet connection.  I had to rebuild the iMac-m3 that I use as my main computer and now find that when I play music on the m3 and then pause or stop the audio, the S1 app drops out of play mode after 15 seconds.  If I then hit play and DON’T play any music it does not drop out of play mode.   Is there any way to make it revert to the previous condition where it will always stay in play mode until I hit stop? Thanks. 

I have moved into a new home. There was a full system in place consisting of 3 connect amps and a PZ100.I am completely new to Sonos, as soon as my wifi was on, i was able to login and played radio stations as the previous house owner and then made the now known cardinal sin of factory resetting everything, because why would you? But as I have been on it previous, I know the system works.The issue I get, is that I can get all the way through the setup till it comes to connecting the ethernet and finding it after. I get the green light, it says press the mute and + button to find, and then it just cannot find it which is absolutely bewildering to me when ive gone through the wireless part easy and its appears in my I’ve tried my phone, the wifes phone and just gettinf frustrated.I’ve spent 2 hours on with sonos support to No real avail, tried several things. Putting my router to mode 2, disconnecting the upnp or something like that and still wont connect. 

I have discovered two Sonos speakers that have not been used for about 14 years. I think they may be fives. I cannot connect them using an Ethernet cable to my router and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. Are they still usable?

I am noticing that the volume on my Sonos speaker sometimes changes on its own while music or TV audio is playing. There is no one else controlling it from the app, and I am not using voice assistants at the time.This happens randomly and can go either louder or quieter. I am using the Sonos app on my phone and the speaker is connected to my home Wi-Fi network.Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be related to TV remote signals, HDMI-ARC, or another app connected to Sonos?

I am selecting a speaker that is playing and then open up the join button and select another speaker or two and select apply. It acts like it is working but when it goes back to the playing speaker it doesn't add the new speaker/s.  It has worked interesting past but isn't working now.TYIASteve 

Im noticing that as time goes on the volume has to be raised with everything I watch.

Altavoz , auriculares  o otro producto  , al seleccionar altavoz no pasa a la siguiente pantalla , alguien me podría orientar como hacer para que avance al siguiente paso.

I have recently updated my Sonos app to S2; unfortunately Sonos S1 is also no longer working.  Neither of these applications allows me to access my i-tunes library and play lists.  I see on Reddit, Sonos communities and other pages that this is a common problem.  When will Sonos be rectifying this issue?

I like that the dialog is very easy to hear without having to turn on any dialog adjustments. The problem is I barely hear the left and right channel audio. Background music is barely audible. I’ve tried it with both Trueplay turned on and off and there isn’t much improvement. I know the left/right channels are working because I hear music. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi, I had issue with playbar : whistling noise coming from power supply unit -  transformator. I have used epoxy resin to cover it up and noise is barely hearable. epoxy flowed a bit to a diode and surrounding components just 2cm not more ( would this cause issues?) However : after this I connected it all again and I bass lavel is very low. void this be because of psu fault ? Resin on pcb ? I connected all speakers correctly . all speakers vibrate and works but I can’t hear enough bass . please help ! 

I work in a corporate building and have been changing between using Auracle and Spotify on the Sonos music app. I found that sometimes the Sonos speakers just stops playing the music on Spotify and resets the queue back to the first song. I spoke to the customer service who said that there is somebody else using the Spotify account, however we only have this Spotify access through the Sonos account and so I cannot “sign all out” or change the Spotify password. I also suspect that because this is my workplace that nobody else is connected to it. Some days it wont work at all, whilst on other days its fine all day. Is there a limit to the amount of tracks I can listen to on Spotify through Sonos? How can I stop this from happening as its really annoying.

Another issue please help!!!my Beam is working but now my era 300 won't link if tick both speakers and press apply the beam goes silent, I did have them work on the first day but next day no link, why is it so hard to link? 

Am i being petty regarding my Sonos Arc Ultra having it grill holes not aligned? Moderator Edit: Corrected “pity” to “petty”.

Is there anyway of setting up my home Sonos system ( linking all speakers together ) without clicking on the button on the back of the Sonos one . My Sonos one is in a casing / mount that I can’t remove ? Any help would be great please ? 

I’m using the S1 controller and I have a play one and a play three. I have the iOS app on ver 26. I’m trying to add a second play one but in the app when I go to add a device, the app tells me it needs to update and it wants me to get the Sonos app.  I’ve tried deleting the S1 controller app and re-downloading it  I’ve tried checking for updates in the S1 controller app  But no matter what I do, it won’t let me add a device because it insists the app needs to upgrade to the Sonos app how do I get the S1 app to quit forcing an upgrade and simply let me add a new device ? 

I had no idea I needed to be a network engineer in order to set up my Sonos system on my computer.  I am just an ordinary computer user and I am trying to set up my music folder so I can listen to music I have on my computer.  I get a very not useful error message when I try to do this through the standard application for adding my music folder.  I have researched this on line and get very high level explanation that it is a file sharing issue or an outdated SMB1 (whatever that means) and that I need to update my system to SMB2 or SMB3.  I have no idea how to do this and really do not have any clue what this is.  Does anyone out there have an easy to understand explanation for how to resolve my issue?  Ychs.  This seems very complicated to me.  Thanks in advance for any help. Moderator Note: Removed Personally Identifiable Information

Hi everyone,I am new with Sonos One speaker, recently I have connect the speaker to my office network and I can see it has taken an IP. From my Windows PC I want to use one of the speakers to play music, but after installing the Sonos App, the App cannot operate well, keep asking me to check for update, even it is already up to date.Mush appreciated if anyone of you experienced this issue before and had the solution, thanks!It is a fresh install and I even tried to clean uninstall and reinstall, but no help.Best regards,Werner 

Hi everyone, I’m trying to set up a home karaoke system and I’d really like to use my existing Sonos setup, rather than buying a separate karaoke speaker (JBL, etc.). Here’s my current setup: Sonos Beam (Gen 2) connected via HDMI ARC Sonos Sub Two Sonos surround speakers Source: Apple TV (YouTube karaoke videos)  What I would like to achieve: Use one or two microphones Hear the microphone voice through my Sonos speakers At the same time as the music coming from YouTube on Apple TV Ideally with minimal latency  I understand that HDMI ARC is mainly designed as an audio output, not an input, which makes this tricky. My questions: Is it technically possible to inject microphone audio into a Sonos system like mine? Subscribed to Sonos Radio HD. the music quality and mix of music is good, the one thing letting it down is the constant station idents - “90 Mixtape on Sonos” being played. Why do I want that when im paying for a music service…. Really ruins the experience and caused me to instantly cancel. Assumed that on the free one you might get that but on one that is almost on par with the cost of Spotify/Apple Music and limited to the Sonos speakers (cant listen in the car, headphones etc...) and still just constantly being told what the playlist I selected is is just annoying. Sonos - Give the premium experience and dont ruin the atmosphere with station idents. Why would I want to use a Dinner Party Playlist for a dinner party when every few songs me and my guests are reminded we are listening to a Sonos Playlist…. 

I am running the S2 App on my iMac, i can play Sonos radio/Tunelm from my computer so I know the system is working.However when i try to add my music folder, so i can play my own music, I get to the administrator login and it keeps saying password or username is incorrect (I have checked that my credentials are correct by shutting down and restarting) I have followed every step I have found online regarding file permissions and firewalls, but I am still no further forward, the system has worked in the past, but its been so long I can’t remember when it last worked.

Does anyone know how to connect the beam gen 2 andini sub to the Hisense tv hi concerto feature so all the tv speakers and Sonos can work together.

 I can't seem to get the S5 to be recognized by my Sonos system.  My setup: Playbar, Sub, One, One SL.  Controller OS: S2.I would like to add my zoneplayer S5 to this system.  Is it possible?  It used to work when I was using OS: S1.  I can no longer install the OS: S1 controller while OS: S2 is installed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi, I have recently upgraded my entire Home Cinema setup and am getting results I don’t fully understand.When I play Dolby Atmos content (media in local network, often DDP with Atmos) I get different results shown in te Sonos app depending on where I play it:Plex app, client on Sony TV (Google TV) → Sonos app displays “Dolby Atmos”  Plex app, client on AppleTV 4K (3. gen) → Sonos app displays “Multichannel PCM 5.1” My question:Is Sonos simply not ‘labelling’ the audio format correctly in the Sonos app when playing via AppleTV, or is the audio actually being ‘downgraded’ to 5.1 and the Atmos being lost?Just for context, my setup is Sonos Arc Ultra (connected to TV via HDMI, eARC) Sony Bravia 8 II Apple TV 4K (Plex server running on macmini, content stored on NAS)
