Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello,  I have recently purchased a new LG G5 OLED tv and a new Sonos Arc Ultra and Sub 4 (+ 2 ERA 100s, not hooked into home theater, they are set up in a different room). I am experiencing audio skipping that is quite frequent and very frustrating. Sometimes it happens every few minutes sometimes 2-3 times night. It tends to be more frequent than not. It happens with anything I stream from my tv, does not happen if I have my xbox hooked up or stream music from my phone. Here is my set up. LG OLED G5 (2025 model), hooked up with Sonos Arc ultra and Sub 4. This problem has occurred when connecting to my tv both through bluetooth and hdmi arc. This issue has happened since day 1 out of the box.  To mention this issue did not happen with my new tv and old samsung sound bar, it only started happening with the new Sonos set up. I love the sound from the sound bar and sub, but the skipping is driving me crazy. This is unacceptable for a $2k sound set up. I will return if issue is not resolv

I just reasonly got a second Play:1 and was excited to try them in stereo. However I noticed that they occasionaly fall very slightly out of sync, like lower than 1 ms latency between the pair, but I could very clearly hear the phantom center switching between left and right. Sometimes when the latency is high enough there is no phantom center anymore, making the music sound weird. Is there a way to fix this? I’ve tried resetting the pair, or ungroupping multiple times, but it seems that every time I group them the slave channel is always very slightly (~0.2 ms?) faster than the master, it switches between the two between songs though.

How to set up my boost and play base to work with the s1 controller?

I have a port hooked up to a vintage music centre via analogue (obvs). All has been well but recently the port has started making a weird noise. It’s hard to describe, a digital noise that isn’t particularly loud but is noticeable. It almost sounds like something from an old space invaders game. It occurs every 56 seconds and regardless of whether music is playing. If I reboot the Port it will go away but returns after some time, don’t know exactly when.  I’m presuming the Port is faulty but wondered if this was a known issue. Has anyone experienced anything like this? 

Would love the ability to play my sources with zero coloration from the Sonos DSP - Current setup is Stream Apple Music through Sonos App Stream FLACs from Windows Share via Plex or Sonos Music Library Have turntable connected to Line-in on Sonos 5 stereo pair Have CD player connected to other line-in on the Sonos 5 pair My understanding is no matter what I do, Sonos DSP will add some ‘colorization’ and I am not getting the cleanest truest sound from the audio sources Is the any activity to allow for users to defeat the DSP built in?  If not, is there a technical reason as to why not, or is it more “Sonos is designed to be really plug & play and Trueplay is good enough for 99% of users’ Would also be nice to have control over more than just bass/treble - any plans to add an in app EQ?  I know with KEF LS line of powered speakers no such DSP is mandated so it’s def possible 

Hi can anyone help me pleaseI am a Mac user I have never had a problem with my meta data before until the wonderful app changeoverI have upgraded my whole system to be gen 2 when my Sonos is playing the ID tags and artwork is not coming up properly now but some of it is and all I have done is changed from GEN one to GEN two When I look up in iTunes they are tagged and artwork is there so why when converting it to Sonos does this all change and go wrong?If someone can explain this step-by-step would be wonderful    

Starting to lose my patience with this now. I’ve had numerous phone calls and chats, read up on the site forums. Is it just me or does sonos and BT not work? I’ve tried disabling all security on all devices 🙄 Any help before I stick this lot on ebay and buy something that actually works? Is it me or the product? 😔 

Hi! I have old Sonos connect on a NAD amp. I would like to connect Sonos in-wall speakers. As they are passive it should work properly.Have you tested this configuration? Do you confirm ? My plan is to be ready to change the Connect to a future Port and Sonos Amp later. Thanks for the help ; )

Hi!I’m brand new to Sonos, I only have the mobile app. Stumbled upon this platform listening to a great music mix called “mellow morning” in my local cafe so I downloaded it.I have been seeking education on home and portable speaker products for a couple of weeks and I see that Sonos is more than a radio or streaming service.  Can anyone recommend the Sonos speaker products that would fit our goals?-purely for enjoying music (not games or movies )-Portable, can take from room to room, ideally two.-Good quality sound that will fill the room or the back yard.-Ideally plug in AND cordless or capable of usage with regular batteries or a pre-use wall charge-wifi and bluetooth compatible-will take commands from my phone app-adjustable bass and treble -has hooks or simple attachment thingies if I want to hang it in our spaces-compatible with more than Sonos music platform, will play Spotify and Soundcloud, too.-lower to medium range of price structure  Thanks!    

I have an Audio-Technica At-LP60X-GM turntable connected to a Move 2 via a line-in adapter. My system includes an Arc, Sub, 2 Ones, and a Move 2. Are there any reasonably priced solutions to listen through my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones? 

Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Many music files which I have played successfully over several years have now mysteriously vanished.  Two albums which I played only yesterday have now disappeared.  I bought into Sonos a long time ago so use the Sonos1 app on both my Mac and iPhone and despite refreshing / indexing the library they have (along with numerous other albums) completely gone.  They are still there in my iTunes library on my Mac but Sonos has stopped “seeing” them.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hi, My Sonos One SL suddenly got disconnected from the system last week.I have had It connected over the last 3 years without any problem.Now, I am not able to reconnect it again and I feel like I have tried everything.I am getting different error codes and messages about ethernet cable, wrong password, too far away from the router or adjust the router settings.Since I have a pair, both bought the same time, this doesnæt make much sense. The one that is still connected and working has no issues at all, they are standing in the same room.I thought adding It with an ethernet cable should work, but It doesnt.I have also read something about It must be downgraded to S1 since my app is S2. But I am not sure if these speakers came with S1 or S2 software/hardware. Regards

i have  sonos Play5 and the bridge no longer works so i am unable to connect to both my speakers.   Is there a replacement for the bridge that would allow me to use the app to play music again.

Hi anybody noticed sound on Amazon music not as good after latest update? Sounds less clear more bassy.Going to do another trueplay see if that helps.

I’m having a super frustrating issue with my Era 300s stereo paired to a Sub Mini. Every time I AirPlay from my phone, I get the spinning wheel followed by an “Unable to connect to [room]” error. If I tap the speaker again, it connects instantly and after that, it reconnects fine until the next day when the problem repeats. Here’s what I’ve tried with no lasting fix:Rebooting my phone, router, and modem Hard resetting the speakers and the app Swapping routers (ISP issued router > Linksys Velop > Eero Pro 6E) Setting DHCP reservations Calling Sonos support (they just suggested another reset) The weird part is no other AirPlay 2 devices on my network have this problem (HomePods, Apple TVs, LG TV, JBL soundbar) and it’s not isolated to my phone either because I can reproduce this issue on all iOS and macOS devices in the house. It’s not the end of the world, but waiting 20–30 seconds every day to stream music adds up to a very frustrating experience. Hey, I’m desperate for help….This was my original set up and i had it named as “Family Room”Sonos Beam2 x Sonos One surround speakers. All worked perfectly. Yesterday I bought an Arc Ultra, a mini sub and a new tv. My plan was to move the beam and the existing tv to one of the bedrooms, name the room “Bedroom”. And then use the Arc Ultra, Mini Sub and Sonos One’s in the original space with the new tv and new Apple TV box and change it to “Living Room”. For the life of me I cannot get the existing Sonos Ones to connect to the Arc. The Arc and mini sub are working perfectly and they are in the “Living Room”. Additionally, I now have 2 “Family Rooms” and they are both showing in the app as “not connected” even though the beam that I put in the bedroom is working perfectly. I want to delete both “Family Room”, and then add “Bedroom”. My goal is to have two completely independent rooms (I bought a second Apple TV box). I want to make it sure.When I am listening to audio in 7.1ch surround, Sony 360 Reality Audio or Dolby Atmos with Head Tracking on, the sound behind me doesn’t come in front of me turning my head or whole body back.  Does it really call head tracking? It’s not I was expected and despaired for. I want to experience a surrounding audio system in my headsets like when I move my head, every settled sound of music fixed in the air. I think that’s special audio really is.

I have a Sonos Amp and an Audioflow switch with 6 speakers in the ceiling and 2 outside. I have them wired so that two of the ceiling speakers on their own switch are directly behind the sofa, I was hoping to use them with the TV. Unfortunately the wiring for all the speakers is nowhere near the TV so I cannot connect the HDMI. Is there any way to still connect those speakers to the TV?

I have a pair of new Sonos Five speakers and a Sub Gen 2 on Sonos app. I was wondering if I can add another Sub to this mix and if yes which Gen? I have heard that Fives are not designed to link to more than one Sub, that privilege is reserved for home theatre setups.   

Current setup: turntable --> pre-amp --> era 100. i want to have the turntable audio also play out of my Adam A5X active studio monitors.Can i get a sonos port, and connect the outputs to the Adam A5x(no inputs connected to port) and then group the Era 100 turntable audio to the port, so that the audio from the turntable plays out of both the era 100 and the adam a5x’s via the port?if so, will there be a delay of any kind?

What is going on?! Over the last six months I’m having more and more issues. Not sure if it’s wi-fi issues, or Sonos issues. I have the original Play:1 speakers. My setup: paired speakers in the living room and family room, single speaker in bedroom 1, bathroom, and bedroom 2. Running S2. Problem started with difficulty connecting, so I bought a new router. Seemed to help. Now different speakers will drop randomly and intermittently throughout the day. One of a pair will drop; sometimes both. And lately, it will stop playing a song before it’s finished (listening to Amazon Music), and start playing a new song. So many problems, and I’ve reached the end of my knowledge to fix them I think. Help!
