Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My playbar and sub work fine on streaming but they drop out when playing my music library, all the rest of my speakers do fine . I ve got two speakers hard wired. Sonos sucks so bad but i m heavily invested 

Could we return all our speakers for a refund since Sonos broke their system?Is anyone aware of a class action we can join?It’s been YEARS and they keep promising fixes that never come.  They used to work fine until the S2 software broke it all.The audio cutouts make it unusable and the speakers are now decorative.I literally have THOUSANDS of dollars invested now useless.

Hey there! A few weeks ago I moved to another department, so I noticed than the volume of the spekaer it’s lower than a normal use on the another department. The room size it’s very similar and the wall material too.  For example, on the another departen used level 30 and on the new the normal volume it’s level 55-60. The Atmos sounds a little lower than stereo. I tried factory reset and setup trueplay to many times but nothing works. Someone haped a simmilar issue?

Since I returned from a short holiday this week the (updated) apps on my iPhone and iPad do no longer show my music services (or recently played - but that does not bother me as much). I see the app looking for the services (first picture) but after a few seconds it just gives up and just shows blank avatars (that do not work) for the services. This makes the app useless. Has anyone come across this phenomenon? Did you find a cure?

In order to connect my LG Smart TV to my Arc do I need an additional HDMI cable? 

I have just had to reconnect my Play1 and Play3 and all of me old SONOS playlists have been removed ?? Can i get them back ??

Beautiful, sturdy headphones. The case is excellent. They're intuitive to use and have excellent sound quality, even for an inexperienced ear like mine. The only thing I'm not so thrilled with right now is that the earcups make me sweat over time and cause some problems when wearing glasses: the earcups press hard, causing the arms to shift into an unnatural position and making it difficult to put my glasses back in place.I haven't tried other headphones from the same family yet to see if I'd have the same problem with competing headphones.So I can say I'm very happy with my purchase: they're just a stone's throw away from excellence.

Hi, I have a Sony KD-AG965 I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra today. It will not connect to the tv no matter what I try, I have done all the trouble shooting things I can find online. Full reset, power cycles of both, HDMI cable change, Bravia Sync off and power off etc. The tv know there is something connected to HDMI eARC but then I go to set up it can’t play a sound nor will the app detect a CEC connection. Just says CEC not connected.Anyone had these issues?my next options are to try the bar on another TV and another bar on my TV.

Hi All,I fear there is no solution to this but I’m hoping someone has a good idea. I have a playbar with a connected sub and surround speakers. No matter what I try… the Nintendo Switch 2 will only output to stereo which is super disappointing. I’ve tried to set the tv to passthrough the audio signal but no luck there. Screenshot below of the petulant screen displayed by the Nintendo. Appreciate an old soundbar but it’s been solid for a decade and works great with the PS5!  

Hi, I have a problem with playing Apple Music Chill recently. Everything from Apple Music works just great, only Apple Music Chill radio won’t play and the app shows message the It’s not encoded correctly.Everything others plays with no problem.I tried to reauthorized the Apple Music, delete it and add it again etc.Strange is that all other stations plays with no problem and I doubt that Apple is encoding that one station differently then the others.Any idea? Thanks, Jakub 

I’m using a Sonos Era 100 stereo pair connected via Bluetooth to a Google TV 4K streamer. I’m really impressed with the sound quality, but there’s an issue — the audio sometimes stutters, as if the left and right speakers momentarily hiccup. It feels like a plane gliding smoothly but suddenly hitting air turbulence. This happens about once every 5–10 minutes.Is there any way to fix this?no issue with wifi streaming, 

I’ve been a loyal Sonos user for years. Two or three years ago, everything worked flawlessly — I could ask Alexa to play music, group rooms instantly, and enjoy a reliable system that just worked.Now, it feels like a never-ending battle just to get sound playing. Speakers constantly drop or need to be re-paired. Alexa almost never works — I keep getting “station not found” or similar messages — so I always have to open the app manually to start music. Even then, certain speakers show up while others disappear and then reappear minutes later.I’ve spent hours trying every fix I can find online: rebooting the router, reinstalling the Sonos app, re-pairing speakers, resetting Alexa, rebooting devices, toggling between my regular Wi-Fi and 5G network… nothing provides lasting stability.It’s incredibly frustrating that a system that once felt bulletproof has become this unreliable. Sonos Arc here.  Pretty much at my wits end on setting up my Sonos Arc using Trueplay.  Trueplay worked fine right out of the box.  Since then have rearranged some furniture in the room and wanted to run Trueplay again.  Now has background noise problems when I try to run it.  Everything turned off, everything has been rebooted, access to my iPhone 14 microphone is fine, but every time I try to run it there is always a background noise error message. Nothing is running.  No one is making any noise.  Very annoying.  The one thing I have not done is to call Sonos.  That will probably be my next step.

This problem is new to me. When I either scan my NAS library for more music, or remove the library and reattach it, I get two or three albums which index incorrectly. Specifically:The album appears 3 times in the album list Each instance contains the SAME single track (not different tracks, as would be the case if there was an AlbumArtist tagging issue) The other tracks in the album aren't shown anywhere The album can be seen in full and played from the folder navigation No changes have been made to the folder structure or tagging on the original filesI've attached screenshots. The key point seems to be each instance contains the same single track, not different tracks as happens if the tagging on a compilation album is incorrect. This usually corrects itself if I go into the underlying file structure and move the MP3 files into a newly created folder (a tip I saw elsewhere in this forum). But when I rescan to get that change included in the music library, another album or two will go

Arc keeps beeping on and off and loses sound on various channels but not all

Hello all. My father in law has a play 3 in his dining room, playbar in the the lounge and we bought him a play 1 for his garage.Up till now he has run home wifi with a sonos BOOST in a room closest to his garage to help the play 1 work.  However recently he wanted more wifi signal in his garage and workshop so he bought a uniFi wifi switch which by the sounds of it creates a network extension into his garage. Now the Play 1 works for a while and is spotted on the app. But then starts to drop out and then eventually sonos app can't find the play 1 at all.  To add to the mystery he plugged in a play 3 in the garage and it worked faultlessly and has yet to drop out or disappear.Neither one of us are network orientated. So any help on why the play1 is misbehaving would be great. Since the last update, I’ve been having issues streaming from Sonos Five. I’ve noticed in my router logs it seems to be switching from Ethernet to Wifi and have no idea why. My Sonos Five is connected directly to my router by a ethernet cable. Over the years, I have had more trouble with Sonos than any other device. 

Hello. A few months ago I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra, 2 Era 300s and two Sub 4s. It's working on an 85" TCL TV connected to an Apple TV 4K. The audio quality is spectacular. However, I'm having two problems:When I leave the system off for 10 minutes, when I turn it back on, the sound takes about 5 seconds to be heard. It's as if the amplifiers are turned off and only turn on after receiving a signal via HDMI.The other problem is the lack of volume under certain conditions. I've done extensive research online, and absolutely everything in the TV and Apple TV setup is in line with what's needed to get the best results. I've also tried TruePlay in various ways. Few content can be heard satisfactorily in terms of volume without using at least 70%.For comparison, I also have a Bose 600 + 5" subwoofer, and the volume of both systems is very similar, perhaps a little louder with the Bose.I've tried using the Apple TV output only, but the volume results are the same. We have just bought a Sonos Arc that we have connected to our Sony TV via the HDMI Arc port using the cable that came with the Sonos. We have a Sky Q box connected to the TV via another HDMI port. The sound settings on the Sky Q are set to Dolby Digital Plus. We’re impressed with the sound quality.However, we can’t hear any sound from certain channels, including the YouTube App. We also get no sound from YouTube if we connect to it directly from the TV rather than via Sky Q. I’m presuming this is because those channels that are ‘silent’ are not broadcasting in HD? If we set the Sky Q sound setting to Normal we can’t hear any sound at all through the soundbar on any TV channel.Any ideas?Thanks

I am running a Sonos S1 controller with a series 1 Sonos 3, Sonos 5 and Connect.I have been trying to set up a music library on my Western Digital NAS, MyCloud Home, but keep getting the reponse error 900 which then wants me to change the server stack in my windows registry.Is this for real? Surely there must be some other way? 

My setup is for TV surround sound. A SONOS Play Base connected to a TV, via optical cable with a SONOS Sub and two SONOS Play 5s and all was working fine until my TV broke.I bought a new Samsung TV (Samsung QLED QEF1 4K), but it doesn't support optical output. Most of the new TVs available don't seem to support optical output, and I know the SONOS Play Base only accepts optical input.The TV has HDMI ARC, so I tried to find a solution - HDMI ARC output from TV to Optical input to Play Base, with a converter of some sort. When I contacted SONOS support, they told me no such solution exists and to buy either a new, different TV or a new SONOS sound bar product.ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS PLEASE??Yes I know there is a  Optical Audio Adapter | Sonos : from SONOS, but this only does Optical to HDMI ARC, not the other way around.Thanks for any help - Stephen
