Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello, I have my turntable connected to my Era 100 speakers through the official Sonos 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. The issue I have is it's doesn’t automatically detect and connect to the line in when I play music to it. If I disconnect and reconnect the USB part of the adapter, it detects it and switches to it like it should. Any ideas why it doesn't detect it automatically without reseating the adapter?

My Spotify and TV systems are spotty at best throughout my home.  Some speakers show up in Sonos with a checkmark next to them, but don’t show a volume control.  I have an Eero Pro 7 mesh system, so it’s not my network strength.  Does anyone have any advice? Thank you. 

I have a new ARC Ultra and a new Sony Bravia XR8C TV.  There are no other HDMI devices connected to the TV, only the ARC ultra which is connected to the ARC input (HDMI 3).  CEC (Sony Bravia Sync) is turned on and working on the TV and Sonos ARC Ultra is listed in the Bravia Sync devices list.  Both the TV and the ARC Ultra are updated to the latest software.  Both the TV and the ARC Ultra have a hard wired network connection.  In the Sonos App, TV Autoplay and Ungroup on Autoplay are turned on.  The only other Sonos in the system is a Sonos Beam connected to the Master Bedroom  which is working good.  The problem is with the Sonos ARC Ultra.  It works fine for playing music.  If I have been watching TV and turn it off, when I turn it back later, I have no sound.  If I go into the App, it says TV (HDMI) is what is selected for the ARC but there is no sound.  The only way I have found to make it work is select Music then change back to TV in the App; after that the TV sound is fine.

I recently got an Era 100 and I’m loving the sound quality, especially with Spotify lossless over Spotify Connect. But I’ve hit a frustrating usability issue that I think affects a lot of iPhone users.The Problem:When streaming via Spotify Connect (which gives me lossless audio), I can’t use my iPhone’s hardware volume buttons to control the speaker. Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.

have 2 identical connect:amp, and 1 will not show up on the sonos app. help ??

Advice would be appreciated please because some of my Apple Music library is not available on my Beam 2.

This is a no Brainerr to program to individually adjust the volume for each speaker whilie setting up an alarm.Very easily to program while setting up an alarm to  select a individual speaker with sound adjustment. 

again Problem with voice commands , now at this moment I can not use voice controll  with google assist , no controll on my home right now again , why buy a expensive beam while a 30 euro google device works fine , why every time update beam with so many issues 

This post is meant to help someone who purchased a used Sonos play 5 gen 1 and could not get it to work.  the troubleshooting steps I followed from posts or the AI generated ones did not help because they were not clear. What worked for me is given below. first : I made the mistake of just connecting the Sonos to the app. It dint like it, it immediately said it belonged to someone else with the old users email (redacted).  Second step I did was attempt to factory reset it. Uff this was painful because I was an idiot and followed the instructions. It said to remove the power cable and hold the play/pause button and plug it in to power on until orange and white flashes. This never happened because I was actually pressing the play pause button ( the capacitive button on the top or side depending on how you placed your speakers vertically or sideways). I discovered by pure trial and error that the button is at the back (physical button). That’s wh

My client has 6 Pandora accounts. In 4 different states. Occasionally, one of them played the "someone else is listening to your music" and shuts down the Pandora. Nothing else in the planet is playing that account number. I've talked to Pandora and they are clueless. Hi everyone,I’m repairing a Sonos Arc power supply board and could use help identifying one damaged SMD component.So far I have: Replaced the main IC (marked 1342BHDGD) Replaced the resistor in the yellow box – that one was readable at 24.9 Ω and had a burn mark. However, the component marked in red is physically cracked and has no visible markings. In-circuit it measured around 2.09 kΩ, Out of circuit it measures open (OL), so it’s definitely failed. Hello,Happy owner of several Sonos speakers I just bought a CD player, the FiiO DM13 BT, to be able to use again my old CDs.I succeeded to connect the player to my Move 2 or an Era 100 via BT but any sound from the speakers…Do you think I have to use the Sonos PORT with this CD player to be able to enjoy my CDs ?(I have a lot of them already ripped in my NAS but still have others...)TIA

Hi as per title - Is anyone having problem with Apple Music Recently Added? I'm getting Something went wrong. Try again.I normally use this ‘feature’ a lot I add new music in Apple Music app and then switch to Sonos to play it. I’ve been away a few days and just got back and I’m now getting this error. Everything else is OK. I tried removing and re adding service but same error. I’ve log the problem with Sonos support. Thanks

My installer says I won’t get surround sound with my setup of Arc Ultra, the newest Amp just purchased, and two surround ceiling speakers. He claims I will only get sound through the ceiling speakers. Any insight?

Recenty retired from working in IT for 35 Years and received a Sonos Arch and Sub about 4 years ago, Great sounding great hardware and sincerely appreciate the gift. Now lets discuss the applications lack of quality, confusing applications.The Android App should open all the sustem sound controls when first opened, nothing more is more important instead it looks like a hurricaine tore thru the application and scattered all the settings with little or no thought about where all should be. Windows App - Again while a little better it looks like they thru it in a blender and someone turned it on low for 30 seconds. Seems they never followed what the Developer had dislexia and the Company never took a look at it from what the users would prefer. Very disappointing all along and after 15 years it still is another disorganized mess. While they want everyones cash they might get some if they took a look at spotify or Tidal to see a what a music app should look like and put all the controls

My Samsung Frame TV is suddenly no longer able to play audio through my Sonos AMP connected via HDMI ARC. It had worked largely without issue for 3 years.I have a Samsung Frame TV (2022) with the following details:Model Code: QN65LS03BAUXXNI have a Sonos AMP with this info:Sonos OS: S2 Version: 17.7I have the Sonos AMP connected to the Samsung TV’s HDMI ARC port (HDMI 3) and have been able to play audio from the TV and a connected Apple TV device without issue for almost 3 years. Today the TV is no longer recognizing the Sonos AMP as an audio output option and I am limited to the built-in TV Speakers.From the Sonos App on my phone, if I go to the AMP and click on TV Setup, then click Continue, then click Connected to ARC, then click Test connection, I get an error of “TV speakers not connected.” Also, the Sonos AMP itself still plays audio just fine from other sources like music via Spot

The era 100 has a serious manufacturing issues. I have 3 in a row and grills start randomly cracking and falling apart.  They have replaced defective speakers but I don’t believe they have fixed the manufacturing issues. The quality is simply not the same with these speakers. 

Hi. As title says. Same time every night, one minute past midnight, Beam flashes green/white twice and powers off the TV. I thought it was the WiFi lease expiring but I’ve set that to 21 days and it’s made no difference. It’s been happening for some time now and when the hour moves back/forth (daylight saving) it doesn’t change the time it does it. Still one minute past midnight. Anyone any ideas? Beam Gen 1 and all updates applied. Thanks 

I just upgraded to the arc ultra but I’ve found that when playing Dolby atmos music the dialogue is very low even when I use the enhancement. I didn’t seem to have this issue with the previous arc. I’m using passtrough from my e arc and I’ve checked everything to try and figure it out. 

Hello,I know the Sonos App now allows setup and TruePlay for inverted, ceiling mounted Era 300s for surround. My questions is related to their placement. I have a few variables coming into play and I’m trying to decide what is best. Was hoping to get some thoughts.I have purchased a couple Flexson ceiling mounts that come down what look to be 6 inches or so. My main issue is a support beam running right around where I’d like to place the Era 300s. Would I be okay placing them just in front of the beam if I can angle the speakers slightly down or would they be too far forward with how high they are? I’m just not sure the mounts hold the speakers low enough to place them behind the beam and it not get in the way. I could potentially add some wood to the bottom of the joists to lower the speakers more if I need to go behind though.

I am using Sonos S1 on the Windows platform. I have a Synology NAS and am trying to Add a Music File to the Music Library. I did not think this was going to be difficult as it appeared to be straightforward. I have the correct SMB setting. I know the directory path for my server. I continue to get an error dialog box: “Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Please check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed are correct. Reasons: Access to the shared folder is denied.” What should I do at this point?
