Hi, I recently purchased a sub mini to connect to my beam gen 1.  The bass on my beam was very distorted, sound like a blown speaker when any bass was present.  I bought the sub mini to take on the bass the beam couldn’t handle anymore.  I currently have the bass on the EQ at -10 so that I don’t hear bass coming from the beam.  The only way I can hear any bass from the sub is when I turn the bass on the sub up to +15.  My question is, is it worth keeping this set up having to keep the bass on the beam off and the bass on the sub all the way up.  I feel like the two should be working together to produce clean bass for movies and music.  Contemplating returning the sub mini and going a different direction all together.

I’m not sure if I can do anything about this strange behavior in some settings or if it’s a bug. It’s present on both iPhone and iPad. If I’m in player mode like shown on left picture and want to go somewhere else the first time I press an icon, it doesn’t change to that mode but some previous mode. I’m pretty sure it did not work like this a couple of updates ago. Not sure when it changed.On iPad it’s even worse because the controls jump from bottom to top when going from player mode in the same way as shown in the pictures. Seems like a minor bug to fix to me. If it’s not some obscure setting I haven’t found.

Hi, for years when I open Sonos on my Macbook I have been getting the dreaded “Your Computer's Firewall Setting Have Changed” In my firewall setting I have Sonos added and “Allow Incoming Connections”. This is permanent and never, ever changes.But every few weeks I get this warning and I can’t open Sonos. Sometimes I quit and reopen and it’s fine. I have called Sonos a few months ago and they said there is no way to play Sonos on my Mac right now…. but I have been using it on and off since then. Tonight quitting doesn’t help. So my question is, why doesn’t this just work? Like all the time. Aren’t there Sonos executives with Macs where this comes up?Does anyone have a permanent fix? 

Keep getting an error when trying to re-add my music folder. It tells me the folder isn’t shared. I have verified the folder is definitely shared, and even specifically shared with my Sonos Wireless system. Something like this seems to happen every time I update the S/W. I just updated to 17.2.2. Now, the system lies and says the shared folder isn’t shared. WTF?

Hi,I use my Sonos arc ultra with Amazon stick 4k and Panasonic Tv.IVe seen multiple Atmos content as Monarch legacy of Monsters. When the épisode is running, the Sonos app display the Dolby Atmos tag.  But today Ive lunched an episode and the app display Dolby Digital 5.1 tag. I’ve tried with previous episodes, and it still displays Digital 5.1. Any explanations ?cheers

When using the About My System functionality in the Sonos App, some speakers have “<Number>” instead of the correct version next to them.  The build number is always displayed correctly.  

I have 3 stereo pairs. Eras in kitchen and bedroom, Play 1 in study. Have had all speakers drop out except one of the pair in kitchen twice, and today all but one in bedroom. It’s exhausting trying to repeatedly fix things. I always have to break the stereo pair in the involved room to start restoring sound to all.

I absolutely hate how the volume control on the app is set up, the mute button is so close to the slider and makes it near impossible to lower the volume below a certain level without accidentally hitting the mute button. And don’t tell me you can use the slider to move down lower, it’s so sensitive you can have the volume all over the place until you fluke the level required. A simple fix would be to leave a wider gap between the end of the volume line and the mute button to avoid unnecessary taps.PS - 1st world problem 😊

I’m having an issue with my system and playing to multiple speakers together.   I have two Ones in a “backyard zone” and an individual Play:1 in my garage. In my basement I have an Ultra with 2 100s that are bonded for surround sound. i can play to any of these systems individually. And I can go into the Sonos app and tell my Backyard zone and my garage speaker to play at the same time. No problem. I can also play to my Basement bonded system. What I can’t seem to do is have the bonded Basement system play music together with any other speakers. If I want to have anything work, I need to disconnect the surrounds from the basement system. Then I can use the Sonos app to play to the two 100s, backyard zone and garage.  is there not a way I can just keep the bonded system together so I don’t have to remove the rounds and re-add them all the time? 

Fed up with Apple Music not re-authorising after latest S1 update. Until, after wasting a lot of time  I realised that as one of my devices was more up to date I could just airplay from Apple and the link it to the older devices. I now discover that it is a better experience as quite frankly the interface to Apple Musoc from Sonos App was extremely truncated.

Hi, I need help with a persistent AirPlay issue that now only affects my Roam SL.What works:Era 300 appears in AirPlay after router reboot. HomePod Mini works normally. Roam SL is reachable on LAN by IP. Roam SL responds on Sonos API port 1400.What does not work:Roam SL does not appear as an AirPlay target. Roam SL does not appear in RAOP browse either. Factory reset + firmware update did not fix it.Network and device context:OpenWrt router, subnet 192.168.5.0/24. Era 300 at 192.168.5.226, Roam SL at 192.168.5.172. Hiya, I currently have a playlist with songs for both Apple Music and Amazon both of which I’m subscribing to, if I only used Amazon subscription going forward will Sonos still play the full playlist including the songs from Apple just switching providers to the same song but from Amazon?  Or is it a case of laboriously making a whole new playlist from Amazon music ?  

I have an Arc Ultra, Sub and ETA 300 set up. Until recently I was getting ATMOS with supported content via my 2017 Apple TV 4K, however I have noticed under TVOS 26.3 that titles that formerly played ATMOS content are now only Dolby Digital 5.1. My PS5 and Xbox still play content in ATMOS including movies over my Sonos setup.I updated the Sonos system in the app and also installed the new TVOS beta, but neither has helped. Also the usual reboots. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a Sony Bravia 8 and have my Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub 3 and 2 Era 300sWhen I watch a movie doesn’t matter the audio format Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus etc, I get intermittent audio dropouts/glitches throughout the movie randomly and happens for a second around every 15-30 mins during the movie. Very annoying I have contacted Sonos support and after being through 6 people the 7th person finally knew what I was talking about and they said they are aware of the issue but have no information at this time. hopefully this gets sorted and they fix this issue in the next update.

I’ve noticed a few specific issues: EQ adjustments: Sometimes, I don't notice any change when I increase or decrease the Treble or Bass (especially the Bass) through the app. I don't have an external subwoofer; I'm only using the one built into the soundbar itself. Subwoofer testing: To verify that everything is working correctly, I’ve been using the test samples found on this thread: [Link]. When I run the test, the subwoofer channel doesn't produce any sound. However, if I play YouTube videos to test low frequencies, it responds well down to 30Hz (which is quite good). Could someone else without a standalone Sonos Sub run the same test and let me know if the subwoofer channel triggers any sound for them? I have a ROAM network at home, however I’m in the South Pacific on a cruise right now. I brought our ROAM 1st gen speaker with us. My iPhone connects fine to the ROAM across bluetooth. Just prior to our departure, I bought a new iPad. The iPad did not have the Sonos app loaded, which I’ve now done.The iPad cannot “see” the ROAM as it was never connected to the home SONOS network.Is it even remotely possible to use the ROAM Bluetooth settings buried in my iPhone, and manually create a connection from the new iPad to the ROAM? Many TIA!
