Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

We have a (Sony pslx310bt) connected to 4 Sonos Era 100 speakers. When we first got this set up, the blue tooth function did not work on the sony and the speakers had to have a hard line in connection to work. They worked great…. Until the the update allowing the blue tooth function to work (supposedly). Now every time a record starts playing, one pair of era 100s starts playing the song about ten seconds ahead of the other pair. I have to go into the app and mess with settings to get it working properly. Sometimes this lasts one song, sometimes the whole record. It's enough to drive one crazy.  When I use the sonos system with bluetooth connected to my phone, it starts playing with only one pair of the speakers and I have to go in to select the other set every time. For as much as this stuff costs I don't feel like it should be so so complicated to use.  What gives? 

Hello Community,This is my first topic. I have sonos in 4 rooms.One of them have 2 one sl, 1 sub and 1 playbar.one of them have 1 one sl and ikea.One of them have 1 one sl.my bedroom have 2 one sl and minisub. my house have 3 internet access point with mesh wifi 6.I have entire home group.I started the music from spotify music is playing whole house except of my bedroom. Music is start and immediately stopped. Interrupted constantly. No problem entire house but only problem in my bedroom. What can i about this issue?

Hi there,just gotten my first Sonos product, a soundbar. I am testing the app right now and listen to a few songs.I am wondering how to scrobble the music I am listening to to last.fm though. Somehow I cannot find an integration. This is a huge surprise to be honest since every audio device or software I used in the past 20 years supported scrobbling.Not having scrobbling on the soundbar is annoying but it will mainly play movies. But when there is no scrobbling I cannot take Sonos serious as a music player and won’t get any other speakers which I will use for music listening.So any help for scrobbling is appreciated, and if its not possible take this post as a feature request.Cheers!

Sonos Roam charge time with a 75W charger takes 30 minutes from dead. Do not buy if you want to watch a basic device take forever to turn on. 

It’s clear the direction of travel for the app is cloud check-ins before providing local services. Why else would we have to close - reopen the app constantly when in decent WiFi range?as a customer of some duration at this point I have been debating whether I’ll add/upgrade and I’ve not pulled the trigger. Reasons? I no longer trust Sonos. It’s been a long time since this mess of an app was pushed on us and it’s still architecturally not customer focused. It’s all about subscription future for investors.  there is no positive direction of progress now just a slow attempt to fix what was broke. Can’t change volume? Crash the app. Great. You know my mum used to be able to use this stuff. Now it’s a usability disaster, and that was your thing. I have a medium sized install - but a significant cash value to me - and frankly it’s a year away from  a  pivot to another less proprietary co. oh and the fact you offer sale % off greater than

Hi,I am having an issue where one of my speakers does not always show in the app after it has been idle for some time.Restarting the app usually fixes it, but it keeps happening again. The speaker is powered on and connected to the same network. Is this a known behaviour, or are there settings I should check to keep it visible?

I have a Sonos system with 2 Amps and two small speakers I am getting continuous dropouts. I tried to change the channel, but this is great out and I can’t change it. What can I do to fix it?

Music Fades IN & OUT, randomly and repeatedly. WiFi Connection is flawless. Software UpToDate. what now ?

On the 21st December 2025 my surround sound One SLs stopped playing and in the app it did they could not be found. I reset them and re-added them and they both updated to 92.0-72090. They then would not add as surrounds to my Arc Ultra so I,reset this and re-added this. This also updated to 92.0-72090. This version isn’t mentioned here - https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/release-notes-sonos-system-updates Anyone know why this version is not mentioned and why I had to re-setup all 3 speakers?

I am experiencing an ongoing issue that has now persisted for over a year. One of the primary reasons we invested in the Sonos system was its ability to set alarms to play specific playlists — a feature we used daily. For the past year, however, the alarm function has been essentially unusable. Here are the consistent issues we experience:I cannot set alarms from my phone at all. My husband can set alarms from his phone, but only with the chime sound — no playlists will play. No matter what we try, the playlist option simply does not work.I have:Contacted your support team multiple times via phone and chat. Been told repeatedly that the issue “needs to be escalated” — but without receiving any follow-up or resolution. Multidecade sonos owner.  I've seen tunein stations come and go.  I've had issues playing certain stations on S1 because it didn't support the stations bitrate (radio dismuke) but was fine on S2.I've a problem with a specific tunein station called “radio synthpop”.  It queues, it plays TuneIn ads, it shows the song playing, the song playing updates when the next song starts -- but not one hint of audio.  I can play it through a browser no problem.Can someone do me a favor and see if you can reproduce this by loading this station?I can't post the image of it (sigh) but it's purple, green, and white.  SynthPOP RADIO “Tu Defecto... Bonjour,J'ai 2 sonos one associées en paire stéréo + 1 move 2 dans mon salon de 40 m2.J'ai regroupé les 3 enceintes dans la même pièce dans l application + dans le même groupe.Je parviens à régler le volume sur les 3 enceintes en même temps via l'application mais pas via les boutons physiques. Je parviens à réduire et augmenter le volume sur les 2 one en stéréo avec les boutons mais pas avec la 3 ème (move 2).C'est quand-même assez pratique de monter /descendre le son sans recours à son téléphone.Savez vous si c'est possible ?  Si oui comment faire ?Merci

Hi, I’ve recently upgraded my soundbar from Beam 2 to the Arc Ultra and I’m finding, when watching movies that the soundtrack element is very low in the mix.  I have the Arc Ultra paired with two Era 300s and a Sub Mini but I seem to be getting very high levels for sound effects and very low volume levels for the music score.Is there anything I can adjust to beef up the music?

I’ve seen lots of threads with issues with Sonos Radio HD, I’m surprised at how poor it seems to be.  I’ve just taken out a month free trial.  I have a playbase connected to 2 play 1s in surround sound using S2.  Often Sonos radio HD will randomly cut out for no reason then start again a few seconds later.  It’s not my system as I have Apple Music subscription set to highest quality and until recently used Spotify with the same set up. I’ve never had any issues with randomly cutting out mid track, but this is a constant theme with Sonos radio hd.  When I switch back to Apple Music via Sonos this never happens.  Like many people it seems to have been reported the second they switch from the standard Sonos radio to radio hd the cut outs start.  So there must be an issue with there streams/compression.  Also even when it works ok the I’ve noticed the sound quality is not remotely in the same ball park as Apple Music or Spotify.  I’ve also tried tidal in the last year and no cut outs is

So, as I’m waiting for the Arc Ultra to arrive, I stereo paired the Era300s and then added one Sub4.I then saw I was able to add the second Sub4 to the stereo pair.From what I read this shouldn’t be possible unless I had an Arc.And yet here I am, with a stereo pair of Era300s and two subs.A bug of the app? A new feature not documented?  

I currently have a Sonus Arc and Sub Gen3. At some point I am going to add my turntable using a Sonus Port. Before that I want to add surround sound by adding 2 x ERA 100’s on dedicated stands.My lounge room is  6.5mtrs x 3.5mtrs. My TV is wall mounted midway on the long side of the room, with the Sonus Arc mounted onto the base of TV wall bracket . My settee/listening point is opposite to the TV -so about 3mtr away from the soundbar. The Sub Gen3 is in the corner of the room to the right of the TV.Due to the layout of the room, the ERA 100’s can only be placed either side of the setee, either wall mounted or on stands. So one speaker will be no more than half a meter away from my head when sitting on the setee and the same for the person sitting next to me.I have two questions;1) Will I be able to use the ERA 100’s as surround speakers and as speakers when listening to music over Spotify? If not, what would I need to do to get the 100’s to work with Spotify

We have a very old Aiwa CX-77 stereo, for sentimental reasons SWMBO want let it go and it's currently sat doing nothing.I've had a look on the back and there are no pre-amp outputs, the only outputs are speaker connectors on the rear and large headphone output (yes it's that old).Because it has CD player and tape decks not it would be great to be able to use those too.So my question, is there any chance I can connect this to a Sonos. The CD player has a ribbon plug to connect it to the main body, however the turntable does have phono leads, so I'm figuring I could use that separately with a pre amp, but it would be really cool to get the whole thing connected (extra brownie points to play her dad's only CDs, tapes)Obviously the sound quality it's going to be brilliant with this old kit, but it would be nice to hear it.Thanks in advance

I had been using the line-out RCA jacks of my S1 Sonos Connect (using fixed output setting) to drive into Tape 1 input jacks of a Luxman receiver, and all worked well. After a long hiatus (since last Christmas), I tried to send Christmas music from Sonos to the Luxman, and can barely hear the music - its coming across at a very low level, so much that turning the receiver volume up to 9 I can hear that the source is playing but I can’t hear it to listen to it.I’m wondering if there is someplace where I’ve accidentally specified “low level” when I need to get medium or high level signal out of the Sonos Connect? BTW, to test, I switched from the Tape 1 input on the receiver to the Tuner and the volume level was MUCH HIGHER.Anyone have any ideas on what I should do to get a higher level signal over to the receiver?Thanks, and Happy Holidays!Bob ClarkeFalls Church, VA

Good day,I have two Sonos Era 100. They both work fine individually when i connected them to my computer via bluetooth. However, when i paired them up as a stereo pair, the speaker that isn't connect to the PC keeps breaking up, and the one that is connected works perfectly. Same thing happens when i connect my Samsung phone to the stereo pair. I have also tried connecting Bluetooth to the other speaker and the problem persist in a reverse manner. The breaking is extremely frequent, about half or one full second every ten seconds. When i off the wifi the breaking is way worst.The two speakers are on either side of my 27 inch monitor and the computer is on the left side under the table. Bluetooth from the computer is a Bluetooth 5.0 dongle from TP Link. Mesh router is about 5.5meters (18 feet)  unblocked from my PC.I have no issues when streaming spotify from my phone.I have tried all of solutions i can find on the web, including power cycling on the speak

The bottom line: After you set up an SMB share as a music library, wait an hour. Problems go away.The details: I recently set up my Music Library (a samba share on a Linux server). Sonos connected to the library, scanned it without error, and I was able to browse the library just fine from the Sonos app. However, whenever I tried to play any files within the Sonos app, playback would fail with a variety of errors that changed from minute to minute (“Content is unavailable,” “Permission denied,” “Connection timed out”, etc.). Also, none of my album artwork was visible, even though it was stored in “folder.jpg” files for each album in a separate folder.An hour later, after making no changes, all the problems vanished. Album artwork was visible, and all files in the Music Library were playable in the Sonos app.Moral of the story: wait an hour after adding & scanning a Music Library. What’s Sonos doing during that hour? Beats me

I’ve just set up an IoT network on my home WiFi, to improve network security. I’ve successfully added my Play:1 to the IoT network. However my iPhone is on my main home WiFi network. Now the Sonos app on my phone can’t see nor control the Play:1. Has anyone resolved this issue?

Hi! My parents have given me their old Sonos playbase. I have the new Philips ambilight 4K TV which does not have the optical input. We bought an optical to HDMI adaptor and I have set up the playbase on the app, connected to the TV, changed settings on the TV so the audio should be coming out via HDMI but it is still coming out of the TV. When I press the volume the light flashes on the Sonos so it is all connected but just won’t play out of there. any advice? Thanks all!

Hi,Yesterday all the audio disappeared when watching tv and when using Spotify. I have only managed to get the Play:5 (Gen 1) to work, although the volume is modest and choppy. I have rebooted devices, etc. for hours now, but nothing has worked. Wifi connection is very ok so it connects to Sonos normally and I can see it plays the devices but the sounds are missing.i have moved many times and have always managed to install our old Sonos system. It has served me perfectly for 16 years, combined with all Apple devices (Macbooks, iPad, iPhone 13 Pro, AppleWatch), Genelec speakers and Samsung TVs.My combo OS S1 Version 11.16:- ConnectRegistered 23.12.2009 - Connect:Amp23.12.2009 - Play:5 (Gen 1)23.12.2009 - Playbar TV24.7.2013Of course, many people may think that the hardware is a bit outdated, because I bought products in 2009 and 2013. - Does anyone else have such old devices in op
