Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

HiIn the old app it was possible to add the currently playing track (when playing through Spotify) to a Spotify playlist. This was removed in the initial new app clusterhug, I was wondering if it had been put back yet?I get that sonos wants to keep us all as in house as possible but it's missing the point, I want to build playlists that I can listen to at home on my sonos and away on my phone. Sonos playlists don't allow for that.Listening to music with my better half on a night and adding stuff to our playlists was one of the most common ways we used to use itThanks Hat

Upgrading my home theater set-upOld: 5.1 wired speakers, output via Denon receiver.New: Sonos Beam, Eras surround, mini sub.Does the receiver become superfluous? (only using it for TV audio)   

I take care of elderly parents, and I love music in the kitchen. I purchased a pair of Era 100 speakers to get me moving while working in the kitchen.As you can see from the picture, my parents are clutter bugs, which leaves no sonically clean areas below the speakers and no real place to mount them other than fairly high on the wall. I think just to the left of the slide door opening, about the height of the opening is the best place to mount the Right speaker. The left would go roughly equal distance from the side wall, at the same height.The floor is hard, ceramic tile, and the ceiling opens for a skylight about 4’ in front of the wall. The counter where I took the picture is 8-10 feet from the wall.Normally, Sonos recommends mounting the Era 100 upright around eye height and inverted when higher. I suspect the speakers will sound better upright at about 6’ off the floor so sound can bounce off the ceiling rather than be absorbed by all the “stuff” along the

I’m new to Sonos:Want to know steps to st up FIVE line-in direct to analog TV headphones… Whilst still being able to include FIVE with full Arc system downstairs via Wi-fi.Whenever I include FIVE with Wi-fi, then switch back to line-in source, the FIVE is disconnected from line-in (& hard to reconfigure).

Hi.  I’m curious if anyone out there has any current experience successfully installing the Sonos Controller in a Linux based OS, specifically Zorin.  I say “current” because almost every thing I’ve found on this subject is from some years ago, so just looking for something hopefully a bit more current.I have an old W10 laptop converted to Zorin OS, Zorin because it’s the most Windows like, they say.  When it was running W10 I could run the Sonos Controller and I play music through our Sonos ARC.  I’d like to be able to do that with Zorin if possible.  With the Zorin OS I’ve been able to a point in the installation process where it almost completes the installation but but fails with the following: Any thoughts, comments or questions would be appreciated.  Thank you.

What does the solid unblinking green light on my stereo pair of Era 100’s mean?

I’m struggling to get clear, consistent dialogue from my Sonos Arc + surrounds setup without having to raise the volume so high that action scenes become uncomfortably loud.Dialogue in movies and TV often sounds recessed or hard to understand, which forces me to increase the overall volume just to follow conversations. The result is that when music or action scenes hit, they’re overwhelmingly loud and not enjoyable.What I’ve already tried: Audio input confirmed as Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 Speech Enhancement enabled Night Mode tested on and off EQ adjustments (lowered bass, moderate treble boost) Surround TV level reduced Trueplay re-run in a quiet room TV audio set to Pass Through (no TV processing) Despite this, dialogue still doesn’t feel anchored or forward in the mix.Has anyone found a reliable way

Hi all (basically a frustrated user requiring some help please!!!)Here goes - Sony TV KD49XH9505 purchased May 2021 connected to a Sonos Beam purchased July 2023 - been working perfectly for the past 2.5 years. Carpet installed last weekend so needed to disconnect to move for just 1 day. Now beam refuses to connect to TV.I have ensured TV and Beam have latest software update. I purchased a new HDMI cable from Sonos. I switched off TV and Beam for 10-15 minutes and then tried connection. I have reset Beam, I have factory reset TV. I used the TV’s external input set up to connect beam. I used Sonos TV set up in app to connect to TV. I have ensured no other devices are in the other HDMI ports whilst trying all these options. I cleared cache in external input services menu in TV see all apps option per another users advice. I made sure I am using the ARC/eARC port on TV. Settings on TV; obvious one in Channels menu; Bravia sync control ON, auto devices ON, auto tv on ON, B

Can I pair all the speakers in all of my zones to a single Amp? 

Hello! I am having issues connecting a streaming service to my port. We reset the device because the original email was the personal email of a former employee, and after setting up the new system and connecting the port we get an error whenever attempting to connect a streaming service. We have tried Spotify, Pandora, and Amazon music. We have also tried unplugging the device, clearing data for both the streaming service app and Sonos, and nothing has resolves our issue. Does anyone have recommendations for solutions, Thanks in advance! Diagnostics #************ Moderator Note: Recorded and removed Diagnostic Number. Hi, Planning an outdoor entertainment wall with tv and gonna put Sonos AMP in a closed drawer under the TV and hook up to outdoor speaker wires. I am trying to understand how to run the ARC hdmi cable to the TV.  Do I run the entire ARC HDMI cable from the sonos amp in the drawer, in-wall and out to the TV.  Or can I use HDMI outlets on either side or are there designated outlets for just ARC HDMI..  I will run a standard HDMI cable from my IPTV box to the TV via outlets . I had been using the line-out RCA jacks of my S1 Sonos Connect (using fixed output setting) to drive into Tape 1 input jacks of a Luxman receiver, and all worked well. After a long hiatus (since last Christmas), I tried to send Christmas music from Sonos to the Luxman, and can barely hear the music - its coming across at a very low level, so much that turning the receiver volume up to 9 I can hear that the source is playing but I can’t hear it to listen to it.I’m wondering if there is someplace where I’ve accidentally specified “low level” when I need to get medium or high level signal out of the Sonos Connect? BTW, to test, I switched from the Tape 1 input on the receiver to the Tuner and the volume level was MUCH HIGHER.Anyone have any ideas on what I should do to get a higher level signal over to the receiver?Thanks, and Happy Holidays!Bob ClarkeFalls Church, VA

I’ve been suffering for 2 years with intermittent choppy audio via HDMI ARC on my Sonos AMP.  Swapped cables, tried short cable extenders nothing helped.  Sometime it would go for weeks and then start - I’d power cycle TV and Amp no joy.Came across this post: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/arc-loose-hdmi-6877144 I thought what the hell I’ll try it.  Well it worked.  I sliced 3 mm of the shell around the HDMI connector - plugged it back in and BAM - problem solved.

I haven’t searched for the same topic in the huge issues db Sonos has collected over the years, I have other things to do. Already half of my Sunday gone (again) in fixing Sonos related issues. The only thing I want to do is listen to music. I’m really getting tired of this. Already tried resetting the app, didn’t help.Can somebody just get my system up and running again and then tell me how to stop permanently, hard-coded, until the end of time, dis-able updates!

I get a message that "something went wrong" when I press on "album" in Amazon music. It will play artists when I select that but not albums. I have tried restarting my android but it makes no difference. 

Building a basement out and I currently have a arc ultra , sub 4, and two 300s. Main question is the 300s. Not sure where I should plan to have them set up. Both options aren’t ideal I know just looking for advice in best option. Option 1: about 8ft behind couch, probably just over 2ft from ceiling and the left speaker will be pushing sound into an open space.  Option 2. Placing them any distance behind the couch and inverted in the ceiling. Ceiling will only be about 7-7½ ft. any ideas appreciated also where would best sub placement be?thank you so much. It’s an open space so can build outlets for them where ever but the layout is concrete so can’t really move walls or sofa much. 

Hello,I have a Sonos setup at the office and I installed Sonos Radio.But with my setup at home (with the same account) I cannot add Sonos Radio (the button to install the service is not present).  It is like it’s already installed but it is not.Did you encountered this issue?

Beam G2 still will not work properly, and yes I did Every set sonos says to fix and nothing works and actually I lose functions as i follow step.over and over. TV is 2023 LG Qned and I'm using the supplied Sonos cords nothing else is connected to TV but the Beam .  

Hi! After reading different posts, I’m trying to use SVC to forget the app missing features, like the phone-locked controls. Thanks to @nik9669a for his suggestion and details, because I thought SVC also sent my conversations to the cloud and it seems it doesn’t.During my first hours trying, I’ve to say that it understands my Spanish-accent English good enough for simple commands. I can turn on the TV and rise the volume, but for me is not natural, as English is not my mother tongue. Also, he (Esposito) never understands the names of my playlists, because they are in Spanish and plays whatever crosses his electronic mind. I’m discovering interesting and very unknown music, by the way 😅, but it is not the topic. So, I kindly ask Sonos to include Spanish as a new language to speak with SVC. To support that request I’ve to say that Spanish is the second language spoken on Earth (native language) after Mndarin Chinese. 

Sonos should make a remote control for turning the volume up or down, pause, skip and rewindAs an iphone user the buttons don’t work on my iphone 16e. Would be nice that I didn’t have to go into the app to do those things

I just bought a new sonos speaker the Era 100, i already had the Sonos One gen2, when i try to set an alarm from the app it immediately cancels out, not even a nanosecond and it’s gone idk what’s wrong.i bought the a new Era 100 and same issue with the sono one gen 2 i don’t even know what’s wrong to say im speechless. i have tried everything resetting the speakers the app everything.

Have 2 era 100 speakers I want to set up as stereo. How do I set them up

My play base has no power. I’ve unplugged it and repligged in. I’ve used a power chord from a good playbase and that didn’t work. So it isn’t the power chord
