upgrade to Arc ultra or 2 x Era 300’s?

Hi,

I currently have a great setup of an original Sonos Arc with a Sub Gen 2 and 2 x Sonos ones at the rear….would I be better upgrading to the Arc ultra or 2 x Era 300’s at the back???

Hard to say you’d be unhappy either way, they’re both good options.

If it was me, I’d upgrade the Sonos One surrounds to Era 300s first, then later on upgrade the Arc to an Arc Ultra.

    If you are satisfied with  the speech on the original Arc, and since you have a Sub, the Ultra's improvements would be small. I swapped an Arc for an Ultra for the speech enhancement and with my Sub I found the other improvements nice but not huge.

    I tried 300s as surrounds and the sound was a huge improvement over my original Play 1s and the 100s I have there now. If there was any way to get the spouse to accept the 300s I'd still have  them as surrounds, the 100s are good but particularly for Atmos a noticeable step down.
