Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My play base has no power. I’ve unplugged it and repligged in. I’ve used a power chord from a good playbase and that didn’t work. So it isn’t the power chord 

I have a very unusual open layout living room that we are currently renovating. Originally my plan was to put 8” ceiling speakers in to act as rear surrounds for an Arc Ultra + Sub. However after opening up the ceiling we found that there is only space for 6” speakers between the joists in the ceiling. Additionally the gap between the joists for the placement that I had thought would be best for the left speaker we ended up being too tight to even install the 6” so it would require relocating it 2’ to the right. I’m wondering if it is worth doing this placement with the left speaker being much more central than I would have liked and not being symmetrical with the center of the TV to the right speaker. I could also move the right speaker in to make them both equidistant from the center of the TV. However given this I was considering alternatives and thought about ceiling mounting 2 Era 300s instead of the In-Ceiling speakers. i’ve seen this on an old topic which is now closed. Playing wxrt on audacy on my sonos (original play1 speakers) and it will start up plating and just stops after 5 minutes or so.  sometimes it will play all day if i leave it on but lately im lucky if the station plays 10 minutes. sometimes it comes back on but usually not. if i have the app open, it just shows  that the music is stopped and i can hit the play button to resume. but again it my stop again a few minutes later. it’s not my wifi. if i play the same station and app on my receiver with bluos, it plays fine and doesn’t disconnect.

Persistent system problems. The beauty of Sonos since I bought my first speaker over 10 years ago was that after setup it just worked.  Now it’s a lottery every time I open the app whether the system will be recognised and it takes an inordinate amount of time to do so. Today I wanted a quick listen to a radio show but more than one minute after opening the app there was still no sign of my system and gave up. When it does eventually recognise the system and I start to play some speakers are completely silent and then burst into life halfway through a song randomly. I have reset the speakers too many times, factory resets etc. the environment hasn’t changed - the wifi hasn’t changed. Sonos left me which reluctantly means I have to stop buying Sonos products. The very thing that makes it good has gone which was the usp.

My sonos Sub Gen 3, stopped working when I got a new Wi-Fi set up at home, I have done everything possible, resetting it severally, connecting it and reconnecting it severally as well, I have moved my sonos product to different rooms in the app and created different room as well with no success. Right now the sub shows it’s connected, I can see from the app that my sub is connected but not playing, the sound isn’t coming out and it’s frustrating to me because I like the sounds of the sub when listening to music, it’s just my my Sonos Arc that is working properly.. Please I need  sonos support team to help me sort this out, my visitors are not impressed on New Year celebration because my sub wasn’t working. Please advice me on what to do next..Regards

Hi everyone. I connected two surround speakers to the Arc Ultra. In the Sonos app, one speaker was added as the left surround and the other as the right surround. However, it’s not possible to set up Trueplay — it says that the speaker cannot be found.At the same time, with the Beam Gen 2, the One speakers connect without any problems and work perfectly.

I have a home theater set up with an Arc, sub, and two 300 surround speakers. Even with voice enhancement on the vocal volume is drowned out by background music/noise.how can I adjust to increase vocal volume in relation to the background music

Hi there,I have a Sonos system with gen1 Beam and a Sub that I use for my TV.  I’d like to get rid of the TV and get a projector instead.  What do I need to know to ensure that the connection between my devices (the projector, the Beam, and--I assume--my Mocbook Pro, which will probably be the most used source of the audio/video).  Are there going to be lag issues?  Are there certain types of connectivity that I need to make sure the projector includes? Thanks! 

I am unable to control the volume using the receiver.  I am using 2 ERA100 speakers and 1 Sonos Ray. I have an RCA going from Sonos Line Out to the receiver SA-CD/CD IN. II have created a Group in the app with the 3 speakers and have the Line set as Fixed in the app. All components connected to wifi. Am I missing something that might cause this not to work?

Nightmare; just spent 3 hours on various efforts to make my S1 app connect to my two long serving CONNECT units. Has been working for years without any problem, but they have now dispappeared from my S1 app. When I try to open the S1 app, it somehow connects to my parallel S2 system, and suggest I upgrade to S2. Have been on a chat with the UK chat and the dutch chat support, but the chat connection dropped 4 times while working through this. There may be a workaround with shutting down my whole S2 system, then resetting the app, disconnecting/reconnecting the CONNECTs, but really? Problem is compounded by the fact that you may reset it for one OS, but I have 4 (W11, W10, Android and Ipad). When the app works on one operating system, trying to connect with another breaks the Sonos-system again.The early adapters into the Sonos universe are not well served here. Is there anyone with a suggestion?

My Era 100 makes beeps when not used - I believe it is when my bluetooth paired laptop is closed and in the house. Playback from the laptop via bluetooth is fine, but when not used the loudspeaker will make those beeps regularly, even it is muted. I don’t understand the point of this feature and you should simply remove it. I complained a few years ago, you promised to put it on your updates list, but nothing happened.

With the introduction of the Amp Multi and the lack of any hdmi input or atmos support, I thought it might be an interesting conversation to consider why that decision was made.  I personally would have liked to seen hdmi input, whether that brings atmos or not, but I can see some reasons why.The primary reason is essentially that home theatre is just not then intended reason the device was made.  It’s for whole home audio.Adding hdmi and atmos would be features that many users don’t want and don’t want to pay for. Additional features and use cases like this lead to increased possibility for bugs/issues to occur. The amp multi is designed to be primarily be in a rack far away from a TV, requiring a long hdmi cable. This is 8 channels, or 4 stereo pairs.  Home audio setups are usually odd numbered, with a center channel.  So either a center channel is missing, or one of the audio channels would be unused. Hi All, Does anyone know if you can play Radio 3 Unwind ‘Sleep’ episodes on Gen 1 Sonos? I want to play the sleep section from unwind but the live broadcasts don’t start until 11pm I really need them before that time. I have searched everywhere but can't find an answer. I have BBC Sounds on my Sonos app, but there doesn’t appear to be a ‘catch up’ option.

My Sonos ray when connected to my TVvia optical cable does not appear on the app. When out of cable it works in the app.help?

Hello, I own 7 Symfonisk speakers at my workplace.While streaming Sonos Radio I got no problems, with flawless audio streaming in all of them.But if I try to use any of the other (Amazon Music, TuneIn, and Qobuz tested) some of the speakers stop to play randomly and with no apparent reason. So, I can’t use any of my paid subscriptions.Any suggestion?

been using Sonos for years and suddenly, 1 week ago, I was not able to update my Music Library (usb connected to the Router as a NAS).Sonos App says “//XXX.XXX.XXX.X/MP3_Router’ is no longer available. The device storing your music files may not be turned on, or the path may have changed.”nothing changed, Router, network, settings…..any idea what it could be?

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that Sonos could develop a simple app for WearOS? It wouldn’t even have to be full featured: simple play/pause/ffwd/rew controls would be great.We had a simulacrum of this with the old Sonos app, which correctly registered as a media player with Android so it could be controlled from the notification shade and the lockscreen, which meant it could also be controlled by the watch, but this has been gone ever since the new app came out.
