Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’ve just spent over an hour on the phone with Sonos Support, who, whilst extremely helpful, have been unable to fix this problem, so a last-ditch attempt is asking the community!3 months ago, I bought the following system:-2 x Era 1001 x Sub MiniAt first, it appeared to be working well, and I successfully paired all three speakers.  However, one of the Era 100’s started to disconnect occasionally.  It has now totally disconnected and is missing from the Sonos app / system.Here’s what I have tried so far:-Reset router Reset access points Reset Sonos speakers Switched off firewall Switched off VPNs Changed access point (from Unifi to Xytel) Hard reset the problematic Era 100 Hard wired the problematic Era 100 (with a USB-C to Ethernet adapter). Tried both iPhone and iPad iOS appsWhen I do a hard reset of the speaker, the Sonos app

SetupSpeakers - Arc with Sub and two play1 surround.latest iOS app the surrounds and sub are disconnected. I cannot remove them in app, When I removed the sub it crashed app (twice).I have now factory reset arc and sub then:1. have added arc (working)2. have added the sub (working)3. two play 1 speakers on system(working)ThenPrompted in app to Add sub to arc… All ok. Connected and success sound.Prompted in app to Add surround, select both speakers, test sounds, select the position…. All ok. Connected and then plays success sounds. Go back into the app… All home theater broken again.  Help? 

HiI have a controller CR200 that I can’t factory reset. I have already done tries stepsTake out the battery and replace it and placed in the cradle - Take out and replace the battery and placed in the cradle while I presse Mute + Home button and slide it down into the cradle, stille pressing the buttons.The controller start up every time, and start looking for a Sonos product. I can see the SETTING in the bottom of the screen but noting happens when I press the button Can anyone tell me how I make a factory reset on it ? Others ideas is also very welcome to fix this ola guy Regards Reidl 

I have a Pro-ject turntable connected to an Era100 stereo pair + Sub mini via the OEM Sonos USB adapter. Audio is passed from the turntable to my setup just fine. The problem: the setting for Line In Source Level no longer has any effect - I can change it from Level 1 → Level 10 with no audible effect. Also, if I change it to anything other than Level 1, if I quit the app then reopen it, the Source Level is back on Level 1. No other Level settings “sticks”. Prior to this, I was using the same turntable and adapter to connect to a Move 2 (months ago). The Source Level control worked just fine then (I had to keep it set to Level 7). Now, several app updates and firmware updates later, it’s not working - I’m not sure when it stopped working.A few people are reporting the same issue on Reddit. Is this a known issue?

i have the sonos arc and i put in a home theater setup. i have no idea where to put the sonos arc because there’s cabinetry behind it that is not perfectly symmetrical. where would you put the sonos arc in this setup? is there a way to hang it from the ceiling? can i place it on the cabinets but off center? the seating is on the left already.

Some of my Sonos speakers don’t show volume sliders in the app and it’s driving me crazy. Audio plays fine and grouping works, but I can’t control volume for some of my speakers. It always ends up that one volume slider remains, while the rest disappear. And this on al my devices, they even show the same volume sliders grayed out.What I’ve already tried: All speakers are on the same 5GHz network, same AP Disabled AP isolation, client isolation - no change Turned off WiFi band steering - no change Played with IGMP snooping settings on my switches - still broken No multicast rate limiting configured Speakers have static IPs assigned Wireshark shows that all speakers are communicating, on both IGMP and SSDP. Even the ones that don’t show the volume sliders. The only thing that works is restarting my router, but even then the problem always returns. Running TP

First time poster, so not really sure if I’m posting in the right area to share what seems like a bug, but with my Nintendo Switch 2, Sonos Arc + surrounds + Sub mini, and LG C5, running the NS2 test output plays the SW test tone too audibly (IMO) through the Arc. Sonos app correctly shows Multichannel PCM 5.1 and all the other test tones are appropriate, but it seems like the subwoofer audio just isn’t playing from where it should be.

I like to play music from my PC via bluetooth connection over my SONOS system.For that, I connect my SONOS Roam to my PC, then I group my other SONOS speakers (12) with the SONOS Roam.Very frequently, after a while (20-30minutes, or an hour; varies) the sounds starts to drop out intermittently. Sometimes it stops completely, and then I notice the Bluetooth connection between SONOS Roam and PC has been dropped completely.To reconnect them, I typically have to restart the PC or at least put it in sleep mode.Any suggestions, ideas, solutions?Thanks, Miguel 

I have an Arc, Move 2 and Era 300 on my system. The Era 300 periodically pops and  has a little static at times. I’ve tried everything to fix but nothing works. Any suggestions? Sonos could not give me an answer and I’ve been waiting over a week for someone to reach back out to me. 

Hello all.  I have been a subscriber to Apple Music for some time and, if you’ve ever used it, you are aware that the service creates a personal station for each subscriber based on their favorites and listening history.  My issue is that when I stream the station through the Sonos App it bears very little resemblance to the station streamed on the Apple app. It is much more restricted and excludes a lot of music.  Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi I have a playbar with an optic output but my new Samsung TV only has an HDMI output and no optical. I tried connecting the playbar with an original Sonos Optical Audio Adapter with a male optical cord to the playbar and HDMI to hdmi input in the other end for the arc entrance on the TV - but it does not work. Sonos support can not help as they do not have a cord the works between the optical in Sonos and the hdmi in the TV. They say I might need a female optical to connect to the original optical/optical cord - with a HDMI input the other end (playbar male optical to female optical to hdmi to tv) but they do not know it it will work. Any suggestions? 

My Era 3 x2 and Era 1 system have been plagued by connection issues. I've spoken to Sonos support and changed my router settings (shouldn't have to). They still didn't connect to the app consistently until i really made a stink on this forum two months ago (alongside lots of others experiencing the same issue) and several days later an update arrived and the system started working. It appears some clever sod has updated it again because it's not working again. My devices are still under warranty and I've had enough of this crap service now. Why can't you just keep them working? Is it really so hard Sonos?

I have the arc ultra , 1 sub. My room is about 25-30feet from tv to to back wall. Couch is in the middle. Subwoofer is behind us in the back right corner. I want to know if it would be worth getting Sonos 100 as surrounds or if 300s would be too much?

Does anyone know where I can get an end cap (speaker cover) for an Arc? I just bought the last one ex display and on delivery the cap is missing. Sonos don’t have spares? Help

Hi. Is anyone else experiencing dropouts, skips, etc with Apple Music since Apple Music moved to Lossless? Before Lossless was introduced, I never had these issues. I have tried Amazon HD and Quboz in the past - both high-res services - and experienced the same behavior. Eventually my system will realize it’s not working and then downgrade back to non-Lossless music, but then it will try again 5 songs or so later. We really need a toggle in the app to downgrade to non-Lossless streaming for the systems that can’t handle it.

I know the Arc Ultra has the capability to sound brighter. More crisp. More clearer. More treble. It comes alive and shines and excels with Atmos content and even that can sound more crisp….but is dull otherwise with music and movies. Just feel like for the money I spent, I should have the option to go brighter and make all content come alive. It has like a gazillion speakers in it. It has so much potential. But I haven’t been able to enjoy this investment. The new Sonos amp tho, sounds amazing. I have that running some sonance speakers. Sounds crisp and clean. 

I am about to lose it…I updated my whole network with new router and switches.The name (and password) of the wifi is the same.I have 3 Sonos One (Gen2) and 1 Port.I tried to reconnect my Sonos to my new network but without any luck.I tried to update the network, no luck.I tried to factory reset all my Sonos, without luck.I tried to plug 2 of the Sonos One by ethernet, no luck.I can go through the whole setup process for my Sonos but when I am done, the app see nothing.“Your system not found on wifi”Sometimes, I got the message:“Your Sonos One has been added, but may not appear in your system. If so, unplug the powercord and plug it back in to finish the setup from System Settings”.Not quite what it means because I cannot find this “System Settings” unless starting the whole process again…. without luck!What am I missing here?

After working perfectly for a couple of years I now get a message that there are “no playable products”. I’ve tried rebooting but none of the components in my system connect to WiFi. I currently have a Beam Gen 1, 2 x SL One and a Sub. 

Long time user here with a new problem I cant seem to get fixed.I have one room in my system, called Office. I have a stereo pair of Era 100 and a Sub Mini. I have other Era100s around the house and a home theater of an Arc, Sub and 2 Era300s. Since the last update, the Office system keeps disconnecting. Everything else works fine. Tried all the regular stuff rebooting routers, unplugging speakers… even tried factory resetting the speakers in the Office room and re-adding. Still cannot get the Office back up. Every other device in the house on the network is running fine, even tried moving the Office room speakers to a different room. Nothing works. I can get the speakers connected, but then it will randomly disconnect and be unavailable again. Any ideas while I still have some hair left that I have not pulled out?

I have a Beam, two Sonos 1s and a sub woofer, set up as a group in Living Room, which all work perfectly on the Sonos App. However I have a Sonos One I would like to use in another room, but when I connect it to the app, it appears and works fine, but the Beam group all disappear from the app. My TV still puts sound through them but I have no control of them through the app. If I disconnect the One, the Beam group comes back onto the App. Any help would be gratefully received.

Can anyone advise on this please? I have a lot of Sonos components - two Connect:Amps, 4 Play 1s and 3 Play 3s. Everything is running on Sonos S1 as most of them won’t support S2, and all my music files (about 50,000) live on a 10 year old Buffalo Linkststion Duo LS-WXL NAS The NAS also has video and movie files that are accessed by the various TVs around the house The whole home network is wired so nothing, including the Sonos, is wireless (except for iPads etc). It looks like my NAS is failing - I’m still working out if it’s a failed drive which would be easy to replace or if it’s the whole unit. If it’s the whole unit that needs replacing then I can do that but my question for anyone here is, what replacement NAS do it get? I need it to run with Sonos S1 or I’d have to replace my entire and expensive Sonos system, which I don’t want to do as there’s nothing wrong with it. Im not en e

Using : Sonos Controller for PCUsing Version 17.2.2, Sonos OS :S2Build: 90068190Sonos ID:  *********Windows 10 with latest updates.I just setup the music library using my PC internal drive.  I worked through the 913 Errors and the library is working, and playing music.  My problem is the SOME of the music files just don’t show up in the shared directory within Sonos.  The files are the same type as other files, (wma).  I’ve tried moving the files to other locations in shared directories.  I’ve specifically shared the file directory.  I’ve tried moving the un-seen files to other library directories containing files which are visible and playable.What could be preventing the files from showing up in the Sonos library? Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Comm

I have issues with the sound sync on a certain channel (TV4) in Sweden when I have my Sonos system connected to my TV (Samsung S90D).  The problem is quite random and will usually appear after the commercial break. If I change channel and go back again the problem will disappear.  I have tried to use both Ethernet and WiFi connected to the Arc Ultra with a good connection but it is the same both ways. If I disconnect the HDMI cable from the sound system everything seems to be okay again. I have changed the sync settings in the software but the problem will remain.  Any idea what can cause this sync issue?
