Hi everyone,I wanted to check if anyone else has run into this kind of situation. Over the weekend, I was at home trying to manage a few things at once and noticed how dependent some everyday tasks have become on apps and cloud access. At the same time, I was having trouble checking my Bank balance because the branch was closed and the app was slow to refresh.What stood out was that I also had trouble using certain features in the Sonos app during that period. Music playback worked locally, but account related sections and some controls were slow or failed to load until the connection stabilized again. It made the whole experience feel fragile when multiple services are slightly degraded rather than fully offline.I am curious how others here handle situations like this. Hi Sonos users,I used to have Play 3 surrounds along with a Beam gen 1 + sub gen 1. I’ve now replaced the play 3’s with era 100 surrounds. I noticed the surrounds didn’t sound as good with the Era 100’s as they did with the Play 3’s. After a bit of reading, I learnt that I should change the digital audio out format on my tv from stereo (uncompressed) to Multichannel (bypass). My TV is a Phillips. This has improved the surround quality from the era 100’s when I’m watching normal channels. However, now when I want to watch Amazon Prime Video, the speakers don’t work unless I change the settings back to stereo (uncompressed). I didn’t have to do this with the Play 3’s. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know why my new set up requires this settings change?Thanks

Screen black outs happen intermittently when Arc connected and running PS5 or BluRay Player.  How do I fix it as it was never an issue before?  This started suddenly fall of 2025 with no changes to set up.  Samsung TV.

I thought I’d replace a Play:3 with an Era 300 as the app has behaved itself for a while and eventually added the alphabetic selection back to a local library… I should have known better. At all stages of the process it’s been a shambles. I had two 30% credits on my account from old gear and buying a single 300 used both… I then get a survey request asking me how I liked my 300 before it had even shipped, so I’m sure you can imagine the responses that got. The Era 300 arrived today and wow, how absolutely unfriendly can you make the simple task of replacing a speaker with a new one? There’s still no way to remove a speaker from your setup. The best suggestion is to factory reset it… so did that with the Play:3, but the Sonos app now reports the old speaker as missing… brilliant. Add the Era 300, the app detects it, but bombards you with popups saying hey I’ve found a speaker and then more popups to stop the popups… I just want to use the app to check stuf

I use sonos for playing old cds from music library.It now seems that it has duplicated albums and juggled the order of tracks around.Very frustrating as playing cds was the main reason to buy sonos.I can't face dealing with support again as it wastes loads of time. Any ideas how to rectify the duplicate album issue? ( they're OK on the laptop , so it's not the source material).  I have updated the app ( samsung A54) and the laptop plus tried to update the music library to no effect. This is subsequent to the phone app crashing a couple of days ago with message it's due to a bug.  Retry when developer resolves bug.  Also some songs have gone missing from sonos but are in the source directories  Has anyone any suggestions as to how resolve this?

Was having trouble giving Sonos S1 access to my iTunes library hosted on TrueNAS Community Edition 25.10.1 (Goldeye) and figured it out with information from this forum and the TrueNAS forum, so posting this to help others that are also struggling.Step 1: Configure the SMB service in TrueNAS to “Enable SMB1 support” and “NTLMv1 Auth”. Hello - I have an Arc Ultra in the basement with ceiling mounted rear speakers that are wired to an Amp one floor above. The ceiling speakers work great for music when not bonded to the Amp, and when I bond the Speakers/Amp to the Arc Ultra they will work as rear surrounds temporarily. Eventually they will disconnect and the Amp will lose connection to the Arc Ultra. I understand the problem is likely that the Arc Ultra is probably too far from the Amp; moving the Amp closer to the Arc Ultra is not possible due to wiring issues however.My question: is there any way to strengthen the connection between the Arc Ultra and the Amp without physically moving them closer together?Both the Amp and Arc Ultra are connected via WiFi. There is no hard-wiring in the system to the router. Thanks!

My right surround (Play S1) randomly plays birdsong. It usually happens in the morning when I do not have the TV on but occasionally happens while I'm watching TV and have the front sound playing through my beam. 

System has 15 devices and all running latest Sonos software.  Been a long time user (10+ years) and been through a lot of bumps over the years.  Right now running Mac OSX Tahoe 26.2 on a M4 Mac.  Both iPad and iPhones work flawlessly all the time, but the Mac about every 2-3 weeks cannot find my system.  I am so tired of the usual restart everything ( router, computer, speakers, amps, etc) that I want to trash the whole system.  If I'm sitting at my office and using only my computer I can rarely control the system.  Why the simplicity of the iOS and the lack of OSX reliability.   Haven’t changed a thing in the house, running fiber at 1GB same as always, with good coverage everywhere.  I refuse to run all over and disconnect and reconnect for 2-3 weeks of use, someone explain why one works and the other doesn’t.   All I hear is that must be a network issue, but if iPads running only on WiFi work why not the Mac?

Hello!Not sure if it's Mac OS related or Sonos app related but I can no longer find my system on my Mac mini. My iPhone works fine and my MacBook Pro also works fine discovering the system. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, made sure network and firewall access was enabled and still nothing. Anyone have similar issue with a fix? 

I have switched the remote to IR mode, but the play bar doesn’t recognise it. Any ideas?

I have started to notice that new playlists when created in Apple Music are not syncing or even appearing in the playlist option in my Sonos app. if Io delete an old playlist is is removed and disappears from the list on both app and desktop. but if I recreate it, it is not seen anywhere apart from inside Apple Music on the Mac or iPhone.I have removed everything app / service from both Mac & iPhone but it has made no difference, also I am getting duplicated playlist I have 4 copies of the “Favourites” I am using S2 system with iOS 26.2 and latest Sonos app and firmwareI have tried everything I can think ofAnybody got any ideas?

Ever since the 2024 update I have had issues with my Sonos system, but not a big enough problem to warrant taking drastic action. But the inability of the system to play a nice selection of Christmas music over the holidays has even had my wife saying the Sonos is a waste of time and money.Hence, it’s time to do something about it.I have had a good read at the comments about “downgrading from S2 to S1. These articles do appear to be, in some cases nearly 12 months old.May I ask if it would be possible for someone to verify my understanding of what is required to “drop” back to the original S1 app functionality. I ran into the exact same issue people outlined in another thread now closed of a similar title. I managed to solve it for €30 and have so far not run into any issues.  I used a HDMI splitter where the EDID can be set to tell the UB820 to output multichannel PCM (as it seems the C9 tells it to output stereo). I plugged the UB820 output into the splitter input and then the output of the splitter to the TV (not into the Sonos ARC). I have an LG C9 and Sonos ARC and I'm now getting Dolby atmos with atmos discs and 7.1 LPCM with DTS MA/HD (haven’t tested DTS X yet) discs. No issues with Dolby vision either.  I set the splitter not to copy the EDID of the tv (as this is the issue) but set it to the Dolby Atmos/vision/7.1 EDID setting. UB820 set to PCM for DTS (secondary audio to off). C9 set to eARC and pass through. I changed my email and logged in with my wife’s, for 10 days I listened to any South African radio station. A week back out of the blue I was unable to stream anything but uk stations excluding all other international radio stations. So please do not tell me it is not blocked by Sonos. I have 5 speakers on the Sonos 2 controller standing there like white elephants. Why can google stream foreign radio stations, and not sonos. We invested large sum of money in systems that are useless. Why are the international facilities available but not functional?I spent 4 hours on a live chat to US yesterday just to finally tell me I need to call UK they will look into it?

I cannot get the studio pair of era 300’s to work in conjunction of the existing theater system

Trying to play music from itunes on my pc through my Sonos Era 300.It would appear itunes is able to identify the speaker, but when selected there is no output.The Era 300 is labelled “Living Room” 

I have a Sonos Boost I'm trying to connect. That connects to the S1 app on my phone just fine. But when I try to connect the sound bar, the woofer and these two side speakers, it just does not connect. I'm hitting play and the plus sign. So it flashes all the speakers flash orange, but the S1 app on my phone does not recognize the system. The S1 app on my Mac also does not recognize other systems. My Boost is recognized just fine. hi i hav also the same issue. and call support.no one in wil  take responsibility in sonos company.so sonos if the company have this forum.and nowbody will action. even CEO.then close sonos community.so Sonos what will you do about this.also the same issue.

Each time I turn on Sonos radio, or change stations, it plays for a minute or so, then jumps back about 20 seconds & repeats what's just played. Just once each time then plays normally.Anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions for a fix??I tried resetting both speakers (One & Roam). Hi all, I recently got a new pair of Sonos Ace. I love the listening experience, however, I have received complaints about the sound quality of the mic when in calls.  Given the feedback, I decided to test record a voice memo, (iPhone 16 pro) with both the Sonos Ace and the AirPods Pro 2.  the results are in and they are drastic. The Sonos ace produces a Tin and thin like recording (both in Aware and NC mode) while the AirPods Pro 2 come in bassy and super clear.  My question: Is there a way to improve the mic quality of the Ace or is this headset specifically designed to hear sound only and has mic call as a secondary feature?
