Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I recently “upgraded” to Windows 10 from Windows 7.  No Sonos issues with 7.  No changes to Sonos hardware; running latest version of S1 O/S, music libraries up-to-date, Android tablet and iPad running latest S1 updates.My Win 10 desktop contains my music libraries.  I can operate all features of Sonos from this desktop just like under Win 7.However, unlike under 7, Sonos app must now be running or minimized on Win 10 desktop in order for any of my tablets to play any items in my music libraries.  Tablets accurately display libraries and their contents, but “Unable to Play xxx” is displayed on all tablets.  Exception: tablets can discover and play Sonos radio stations even with desktop app closed.I suspect this is a Windows 10 problem, not a fault of the Sonos software.  Have any of you experienced this?  If so, please describe any solution.

When using TV Swap with the Ace on both the Arc and & Arc Ultra the Ace constantly cuts out every 1-2 minutes for 5-20 seconds.Have reset and update both the Arc and Arc Ultra.  When trying each Arc, the Ace headphones were factory reset and added as new device to the Sonos app, then set to a specific Arc for TV Swap.Got the Ace yesterday and thought they would be seamless and easy given I have (x7) Amps, (x4) Arcs, (x3) Subs, Arc Ultra, Beam and (x2) Move 2. 

Is anyone else finding that you can triple press the control on your Soons Ace to go back to start of song when your using Apple Music but not Pandora?I have a similar situation when running from inside Sonos the Pandora app, I get this "no rewind”but if I start Pandora on my phone and "cast”out to my speakers, then I can rewind.I am still having compatability issues with this new app (year+ old) and my system, TV, etc (11 pieces and now headphones.)  In the end of this squirrel behavior of subjects… I cannot get to my Sonos library on with Ace, so cannot test backwards. Pandora is not working, Apple music is working… Appreciate other's music apps and if or if they are not "rewinding”on a triple press. Thanks  

Hello,I am unable for some time to launch a radio from a title from Spotify from the Sonos app. The app says “the connection to Spotify have been lost”. The connection to Spotify is active (everything else related to Spotify works) I’ve tried to reauthorise the account - changes nothing I have this issue with any titleThank you for your help

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything about progress towards resolving the Compilation Albums Issue in Local Music Libraries.I believe this is the current state of things:Sonos does not recognize the “Compilation Album” tag. Sonos does recognize albums tagged with Album Artist as “Various Artists” -- this is good. HOWEVER, Albums not tagged with “Various Artists” show up with as unique Albums for every Contributing Artist.  Example:  Suppose we had Billboard Greatest Hits 1986.  This would show up as 10 separate albums … one for Bangles, one for Huey Lewis, one for Mr. Mister, etc. Albums that are tagged with “Various Artists” fix this, but the Contributing Artists are invisible.  This means that if I look in the Artists list, I do not see Bangles, Huey Lewis, or Mr. Mister … it appears that I have no music from them, though clearly I do.  They show up when I search for them, but do not show up in the index. Hello, For the first Time, Qobuz is not avaible in my SONOS S1 , on IOS , IPADOS and Mac OS , I changed nothing , my internet is OK, I can use Spotify and others on Sonos S1 , there’s just a message trying Qobuz on SONOS « communication not possible » I still can listen Music on Qobuz application but not possible to send next on AirPlay 2 on Sonos devices I close Sonos application, try to reload Qobuz rights on Sonos S1 , but still not working.  Is there a technical problème between Qobuz and Sonos since Yesterday ? Thanks 

I often get no results found when searching on both Windows desktop app and IOS app. Here I searched for Hans Zimmer, and then selected the albums tab Sometimes it takes 3 attempts to get the results to display  

Hi AllAfter a few wines last night my partner and I started using our iPhones to begin curating a queue. Problem was (yes we’d been drinking) but we both at some point tapped on a song  instead of ‘adding it’ to the queue which resulted in the entire queue being replaced by that single song. So the entire existing queue was lost, or so it seems??? We certainly couldn’t find a way to return to the queue that was just playing prior to the mistake. Now I know you’d argue that it was a stupid mistake of our own carelessness (and you’re right!) but I’d guess that in the case of a party happening where lots of people are trying to queue up their favourites this mistake would happen fairly often, each time resulting in the loss of a number of queued tracks and being a massive pain to the person who was trying to keep the tunes going and songs being shut off halfway through playback making for a horrible listening experience for all involved. Would it not be a great idea to have a failsafe pop

I have an original Playbar (paired with a Sub Mini).  Unit is in good shape, and plays music brilliantly.  The problem is TV output delivers very loud rumbling from any reasonable amount of bass (sounds almost like the shelf is vibrating - it isn’t).  It's a new TV, output is optical, and output is set to PCM.  Any thoughts?

I'm having an issue with getting 5.1 (always shows SPDIF Stereo PCM in Sonos app) to work despite having the following equipment:- Beam (gen 1)- Sub Mini- 2x Play 1s I use a nvidia shield for playing media, but unfortunately, my projector does not support audio passthrough or have eARC so I have used a hdmi switch that supports dolby/dts 5.1.I understand that (without replacing my projector or buying an audio extractor) my current set-up won't work for dolby digital or dolby atmos, but it should still support 5.1. Any tips to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I’ve done everything I can think of to get my connected device to be my music folder and it comes back with “unable to connect”. I’ve moved files to where the Music folder on ny hard drive and I get nothing. One thing I noticed is my mac inserts Volumes in place of MacMini (my hard drive),

I have similar issues with my Play:3s dropping out that have been discussed numerous times here.  I only have two Play:3s and put these in a tight location above the kitchen cabinets (play:1s wont fit).  I've read countless trails on network interference, IP addresses, memory issues, and so on.….  I have a significantly large sonos array upstairs (18 individual components in various rooms) and regularly link all these together.  My Play:3s predictably drop in and out of the music stream. I would usually start streaming music through the living room TV (arc ultra + Sub + Era 300 surrounds), then add additional rooms/components to join that living room group.  This is when I hear the Play:3s dropping in and out.Today I started streaming straight into the kitchen (Play:3s).  By themselves with no other components in the group there is no skipping or dropping in and out as seen before when starting in the living room.  I then added the new living room TV components and things fell apart wi

First before we start, buying another amp is not in question.Current Setup:1x Amp 1x 3rd party Sub, FYI it does work in 4.1 2x 3rd party ceiling, 2x era 100.Problem is the front and back audio need to be swapped I can not find it in the mobile app. Anyone know how to get this working correctly.  

Hi, is anyone else having problems running Trueplay with a Sonos Arc Ultra together with a Sub (Gen 4)? When I run the Arc Ultra on its own, there’s no problem at all. But when I run them together, nothing works. I just get the message that there’s too much background noise — but the room is completely silent. (I’ve tested with several different devices.) Sometimes I get past that, but then it says “Trueplay can’t start”. Does anyone have a solution, or is this an issue with the latest version of the app?

Why can I no longer play Centreforce Radio through TuneIn or Mytuner on my Sonos system.   I am based in the UK and I believe Centreforce Radio is registered in the UK.  It was fine up until two weeks ago.  I am able to airplay from my mobile TuneIn app.

Hello, I’m wondering if this is the expected behavior for changing the surround level slider while listening to Apple Music in Atmos through the Sonos app on an Arc Ultra + Era 300 surround setup. When adjusting the slider, only the volume of the Era 300 outer-facing side drivers get louder/quieter; the inner-facing rear drivers do not have any audible volume change. In essence I can’t actually adjust the volume of the surrounds completely, as half of the surround drivers are at a fixed volume. I also want to clarify that I’m not referring to the height drivers — those are affected by the height slider as expected.

I've followed posts here, there was no solution.And no support from Sonos.I've found out that it happens when streaming from Spotify or another service.However If you play via Sonos app S1, downloaded songs that are on your device, it does not happen, and the intermittent one speaker cut out, is not happening at all What does this mean?Service streaming issues?Any thoughts appreciated 👍 

Good afternoon all,I’m after some help/advice please, to enable my 2 Sonos play 1 speakers to work wirelessly on my new wifi network. I’ve followed numerous help articles online, but without success, hence this post.Situation:I’ve recently introduced a new mesh wifi system to my home to increase WiFi coverage. (this has included introducing a new mesh hub, which is plugged into the existing router via an ethernet cable)Challenge:Despite numerous steps (see below), I have been unable to get by play speakers to work on the new network wirelessly. FYI the speakers will work when connected via ethernet cable to the new mesh hub, but this is not a viable solution moving forward.Steps taken so far (following advice in the app and help articles):Removed the 2 speakers from the app (so that no products show in the Sonos app when it re-loads) Factory re-set the speakers (however they do not display a green light when powered - instead the light goes solid white after flashing white and orange)

I got a new era 100 to add to my system. Cannot seem to group together my current Play 1 and new era 100. I can group my five Gen 2 with the era 100, but it does not want to group with the Play 1.My Play 1 and five group fine. 

I have an S1 system which contains Play:5 (gen1), Play:1, Play:3 and a Sonos beam. All of these suffers from jittery playback on Sonos radio (more specifically Swedish P3 stream), where it seems to “jump ahead” in the stream (for like .5, 1s) occasionally in the beginning. After an hour or two of playback, this increases and eventually it’s a complete jitter of sound which definitely seems like some sort of buffering problem. Stopping and starting the stream, instantly fixes it, which really makes me think this is a software problem. Question is, are there other out there that experience the same thing?This is also prominent in all of the devices, so it seems to have little to do with the outdated Play:5 (which still, 3 years later, can’t playback Spotify anymore 🤬). I contacted support, sent a diagnostics when the issue was at it worst and got the same brain dead support response where he remote rebooted my system because he claimed it had weak connections. I know this topic has been beaten to death, but in my digging I haven’t seen a scenario that seems to quite line up with this one.  Hoping it’s an easy fix. I have a bunch of Play:1’s and a a playbar littered around my house.   I have one single speaker in a kid’s room that I find goes ‘unavailable’ for a couple of minutes multiple times per hour.   (I note this in the log of my Home Assistant environment that Sonos is integrated into).  Actually playing things on the speaker works just fine.  The Sonos app works just fine.  But according to that log, the flipflopping to unavailable keeps happening.I don’t believe it’s an HA thing (beyond it maybe possibly timing out a bit faster than it should perhaps), because it is ONLY happening on this one speaker for the entire house.I recently switched from SonosNet to wifi-only in an attempt to combat this, but no avail.  When I was on SonosNet the speaker did show it wasn’t getting a great connection.  However since unplugging all the wires an

Apple lossless does not work on my Amp, it constantly drops or says not encoded properly.  Apple lossless works on all the other speakers without any drops, and if I group them, the amp stays silent.  Spotify works perfectly on the Amp.  I am using the S2 app when I play the music.  This started after the last update, no problems before then.Thanks for any advice.
