Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

When I try to connect my Zen Mini music server to Sonos, I keep getting the error ‘Unable to connect to Zen Mini computer’.  This has started happening after updating the Innuos software,  And I have some internet traffic that connecting music servers is difficult with the Sonos S1 app, but I’m unable to upgrade this because my Sonos hardware (Connect Amp) is incompatible with S.  Anybody know any workaround solutions?

Any have issues with the Arc’s volume fluctuating in its own? I’ve talked to Sonos multiple times and have tried numerous solutions to no avail.  I’ve tried the following:Bought new router that supports 2.4G replaced HDMI cable

I am completely new to Sonos but I’ve just moved into a property which has a Sonos system installed.  I believe it’s quite an old system.There are several speakers in various rooms in the property and it seems they are all wired to a hub.The hub consists of  2 x SS30 3 Way Speaker Switch which seems connected to a Sonos Amp.  The bottom of the Amp has this  Model:  CONNECT: AMPI have zero idea how I’m supposed to use this and would love some advice.Do I connect with Bluetooth and a Sonos App?  Can I stream music from my phone (spotify) or is my system so old that I have to attach an actual music player (for example a CD player)?Is this system worth keeping?Thank you in advance for any advice. 

Just got rid of my Bose system because I wanted WiFi. I’m going bonkers constantly changing the volume for each song. There is absolutely zero consistency.  Please tell me there is a fix.  This has never happened with any other speaker I’ve had.  It’s across the board with my roam, Arc & 300 individually.  I can’t find any setting in the app to gain consistency between songs. just so it’s clear when a playlist changes songs in a que the volume might get super loud or super soft. It never plays from one song to the next without a level variation.  The actual setting doesn’t change, but the listening level changes. So it might stay on a 28, but that 29 will vary greatly.I’m really starting to question my decision. thanks for any suggestions.  oh - mostly Amazon Music through Sonos app - I rarely use the Sonos music but it happens on their radio as well.

I’m raising this issue yet again.   I can confirm that that Sonos Arc Ultra displays the same issue with the very latest LG C5 TV.   So this problem is not confined to some older TV’s or some small subset of manufacturers.  Sonos seems to be intent on completely refusing and ignoring the problem.  This is a bug.  When is Sonos planning to fix this? Once you have Sonos Arc connected through HDMI ARC connection, you can no longer use built-in TV menu to route the sound to whatever output you want - be it internal TV speakers, headphones connected to TV or anything else.  After a few seconds the sound is again routed to Sonos.  I have previously confirmed on Samsung TV, that this was not a problem with the Samsung soundbar or Sennheiser sound bar.I already raised it previously reporting it for other TV model and it was closed: Also found simi

I’m trying to set up a new alarm in my speaker but it refuses to shuffle the playlist.   I have another alarm set with a different playlist and it happily shuffles that one, but no matter what I do with this new alarm, it will not shuffle.   I have the playlist set to shuffle in Spotify, I have the shuffle button in the alarm section but nothing.  I transferred the playlist to Sonos and put it on to shuffle, but it turns off the shuffle!  Any ideas? 

Looking for a 2025 response - I have managed to use an extender to have one room in my kitchen while the rest connect to the router.  For a variety of reasons I am considering trying a Powerline Extender (Netgear to be the same as my other devices).  I would switch the extender into Access Point mode.  I should then have the same single network SSIDs (not new ones from the Extender).  I am thinking this should help if the Powerline works.  Live in a cement house so can add ethernet easily.   I read many posts from years ago and wondering if anything has change or any views on this in today’s world with the current S2 app etc.      Thanks in advance.

I’ve had an Arc (plus a few other speakers) in our media room, along with an ATV for forever. Everything was working fine for a couple of years. Within the last month, I need to disconnect (using the ATV and volume-down button) and then reconnect the ATV remote in order to control volume with the Arc. This procedure works about 20% of the time. I have to do it again and again in order to regain volume control with the ATV remote.To repeat. every single time I power down the TV and ATV when I turn the system back on, the ATV remote control is not capable of volume control with the Arc. Then I go through the “remote unpairing” steps one to ten times, and it works again. This is a new issue. It worked perfectly for years before a month or so ago.

Hi,I’ve seen this question has been asked couple of times but didn’t find any answer which would resolve the issue.My current setup is quite old Sony Bravia KD55XD8005 with ARC port, Sky Q 2TB UHD box and Arc Ultra.Sometimes when I change channels on Sky or starting a movie, sound would drop and I need to switch back, or hit pause/resume, or unplug/plug HDMI cable to get the sound back.I notice this happens when audio output is changing as some channels are with Dolby Digital 5.1, some are Dolby Digital 2.0 and most movies are Dolby Atmos. I’ve been speaking and Sonos support and they suggest to replace both HDMI cables (from Sky to TV and from TV to Arc Ultra) but I don’t think this is the issue because I’m using original cables and as I said, it only happens when audio output is changing.It's also worth mentioning that I had same setup with Sonos Arc (before upgrading to Arc Ultra) and didn’t have any issues with it. So I’m t

Then says it wants to connect to the website to log into. When I do it takes me to their store not my account. Going back to app it asks me to sign in. I have existing devices but they don’t all show and asks me again to sign in. Yet the app also shows I’m signed in. Every time I try to sign out it’s jumps to an error and timed out pop up. Just keeps sending me in circles. The Sonos app has been having major problems for years now. There’s simply no excuse any longer for this mess. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues connecting and maintaining connections. Last time I spent 3-4 hours trying to connect my system. Your speakers sound good. But if you can’t connect they are absolutely worthless. 1000’s of dollars invested in your system and your app is S***. Sick and tired of it. I’m selling everything. 

I put a DVD on last week and the sound coming out of the Playbar is fantastic [as an aside i have a Beam attached to the tv in the other room and the Playbar sounds so much better] I then tried to add in the two Play 1 [set up in stereo mode in the kitchen] speakers I have to the Playbar so i could continue hearing the soundtrack to the dvd whilst cooking in the kitchen. However the sound on the playbar continued fine but the Play 1’s kept dropping the sound every few seconds  I tested it by changing the sound to my Sonos Roam - unticked the Play 1 and ticked the Sonos Roam Same effect - sound dropping from the roam but the playbar held the sound no problem  can anyone tell me what is happening here ?

Can I use Sonos Connect to use with my old HiFi Stereo Amplifier & pair of speakers without using any other Sonos Speakers ?  

My sonos arc doesn’t produce sound when I turn on my setup of epson projector connecting sonos through an audio extractor automatically. It works sometimes when I turn off sonos completely from power and turn back on and setup again through firestick but sometimes that doesn’t work either. Looking for suggestions on how to fix this. Please advice. Thanks.

If I clear my Recently Played entries (to avoid issues with old data) and play something from my Favorites, an Amazon Station, it plays with no problem. My goodness add ing music so that Sonos can play it is NASTYThe last time I saw something this complex was when the OS was Unix 5.4.Is Sonos really this bad?A way to be able to play music on music speakers is really really complex, I have a large (ish) library collected over decades.And Sonos a Music Speaker company really does not want users to well play music.It has taken several hours to figure out how to just point the MacOS Sonos app at the local Music folder.Wow these developers weren’t on drugs, which is what I assumed, they are vindictive, nasty people who hate people who like music, their reason d’être is to punish people and to discourage people.Never have I encountered such anti user programming, some ideas for improvement, the path to the library must be in hexadecimal using java syntax.Come guys there is so much more potential to hate on your customer base.Keep trying you will get there!!The question

How do I switch internet services on my Sonos system?

one sonos5 gen 1st plays, but there is a ticking sound at the same time and it disrupts playback 

My Sonos multi-room music distribution system is somewhat dated, but working perfectly well. I have just bought a new Windows 11 PC and I want to run Sonos from the music library on this new device. I have shared the library on the network, but the Sonos controller [on my iPhone] will not acknowledge it and will not update the software - It says a couple of my Sonos components are “incompatible...” I don’t want anything new; I just want to continue using my Sonos system as I always have - Can anyone help me?Thanks, Geof Ashton

Just curious to hear if folks here use Trueplay or turn it off?Every situation is different for every room, every person’s ears. But for me, I’ve come to turn Trueplay off as it seems be hindrance to sound quality than tuning and keeping it. Night and day difference. I might change mind later. But sounds more detailed and full with no Trueplay for me.Anyone else find the sound much better with or without Trueplay? 

Hi, I am unable to paid samsung solar remote to my Sonos playbar. I already went to settings on TV and added the remote as universal remote with the Sonos system. But still I cannot control the volume. It seems remote is working on bkuetooth mode and not IR mode. Not sure how to switch to IR mode. Please help. Kind Regards
