Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have Sonos Beam (gen 1) running thru Sony Bravia TV (uses Android, very awkward) with speakers in multiple rooms.  Want to add Roku Ultra streaming device so TV and streaming is simpler to operate. Anyone have  experience, feedback, etc. is welcome using Roku w/existing Sonos setup?

Hi everyone, I use both Apple Music and I listen a lot to podcasts via Apple Podcasts. For Apple Music I most of the time use the Sonos App (because of the streaming quality and direct streaming). For podcast I obviously  use AirPlay 2 from my iPhone (iPhone 16 - iOS 26). I’ve read a few articles on AirPlay, including on this forum, and I was wondering which are the best practices. In this support article they say: Select one or more Sonos products to stream the same audio across all of them using AirPlay. But in some posts and articles I read it’s better to do grouping an ungrouping via the Sonos App (all my speakers are AirPlay 2-compatible). My question:Is it better to just initiate the AirPlay 2 stream and then switch back to Sonos App for other controls (group

I’ve had my Sonos Roam SL for a few years now and surprisingly with no issues just minor quirks. Well, over the holidays I bought the dual port compact 35W Apple charger, and started experiencing some weird behavior. When I plug in the cable (I’ve tried a few genuine Apple USB-C-USB-C cables with the same result), the Roam continuously flashes orange. In the app, the Roam also shows a flashing charging symbol in sync with the flashing light. Interestingly, the Roam still charges to 100% eventually, but it keeps flashing the entire time. Most annoying of all though, is that if I turn the Roam off after plugging it in, it soon turns itself back on, as it would if you were to plug it in when it is turned off. So the power supply to the Roam just seems to be cycling with the dual port charger...My first thought was that it could be a counterfeit charger, but it appears to be a genuine Apple charger. It is rated for 5V/3A, among others, and is quite clearly USB PD rated. Until now

Please please please add the ability to schedule night mode and enhanced speech mode on my Sonos. This request has been made so many times I can't believe Sonos has not implemented this yet.  If this is too hard to build into your app then please build a native integration with Slmartthings that allows me to set a routine to do the same. 

Last year I purchased a Firewalla Gold Firewall and split my network into several VLANS. Amongst others, I have a dedicated VLAN assigned to my Sonos Connect amplifiers and another VLAN for user WIFI. My Sonos appliances are mostly connected with Cat 6. Some are connected over WIFI. One way traffic is enabled between the WIFI VLAN and the Sonos VLAN. I also have a Sonos Bridge on the network. This setup has been working well for about a year.Recently I purchased a couple of new Sonos Connect (app V1) amplifiers. I am able to find them on the Sonos App but when I press the button(s) on the appliance to complete the setup, nothing happens. It seems like some traffic is being blocked but I don’t know what or where. I have enabled bi-directional traffic between the WIFI and Sonos VLANs but that did not help. mDNS relay and SSDP relay are enabled on both networks.Does anyone know what happens when you press the physical button(s) on the Sonos connect once the device is read

Is there a fix for this? Diagnostic code has been sent.  No one accessed the Sonos app or any other app to cause this to occur.  Sonos Live radio blasted salsa music through the speaker all on its own, to the displeasure of all my neighbors.  Chat support was worthless, only resulted in setting a volume limit so that when their system does it again, it won’t be as obnoxious. Moderator Edit - Removed and recorded diagnostic number.

Ok, I might have an unfixable problem leading to throwing everything out the window.The setup: 4 x Era 300 + 1 Sub Gen. 3 All I want is the possibility to have them all working as 1 system that would show up as 1 system when someone connected to the WiFi wants to play something over the speakers. Why is this not possible? Why can’t the Sub just be added to a zone? I’ve grouped all 4 speakers, but on Android (Spotify) they still show as 4 different speakers and you can’t group them. I my particular scenario, I don’t want people that have to use the system install the Sonos app. I just want a simple working system. Is that really not possible?The particular space where the speakers are installed is used for different kinds of events where the participants must use the speakers with their phones/laptops/tablets.

Hi thereNo doubt a similar question has been asked before, but I can’t find the exact scenario so I would be grateful for any input.I currently have a Samsung 85” frame TV which is connected to a Sonos amp (using HDMI).  This is powering two in-wall speakers which are at the front either side of the TV.  I wanted to create a surround sound/home theater setup, so a smart home guy I know said to buy a sub and two Era 300 speakers.  However, having messed around with it you can’t seem to do Sonos surround sound unless you have a Ray, Beam or Arc.If I used grouping to group the amp and two speakers together, you get an echo/delay with the audio which is not nice and I think, having gone on this journey, is to be expected.So the question is without completely writing off my amp and in-wall speakers is there any way to create a surround sound/home theater setup using Sonos?  I could buy a Ray, Beam or Arc but then I’ve read you can’t have that doing your front

Two basic questions (that will help me navigate Sonos App with my 65 y/o brain).Is there ONE instructions manual I can print out explaining the Sonos app.? I am getting lost as I search the app. when navigating little tasks like sync sound for TV. - I’ve seen it in the ap. but how to noe find it…  (Maybe it’s my 65 y/o brain). What is the simplest way to search and find answers to simple “how to” questions? e.g. “how to lift sub volume..”

Arc Ultra -adding 2 Era100 as surrounds.  Added to system no problem.  Select setup surrounds - seems to work but when finished  the 2 ‘100s show as ‘not connected”if I remove the surrounds they don’t come back into the system and I have to restore and add to system.   is this normal? Surrounds are not available for music and only for television maybe ??Router is a sophos and part of my work from home system.  Maintained by my IT guys and not something easily configured.

Hello fellow Sonos people,I am considering purchase of Sonos Arc Ultra and the Ultra Wall Mount.  The plan will be to wall mount the Arc below the TV say 2 - 4”.   I am in process of building new home and planning with the builder/electrician for power and cabling but ran into a snag so need help. Anyone have suggestions on what I can share with the electrician on suitable wall mounting such that both power and HDMI are concealed from view?  The electrician was suggesting standard size wall plate with pass through brush, fishing cables after drywall or install power outlet plate and separate pass through brush plate flush with drywall.  My concern is the Arc Ultra profile is so thin at 3” that a standard wall plate, even rotated horizontally, will still be visible and unsightly on the living room wall.  Not to mention flush with wall there is no space in back for power (the HDMI cable could sneak through the brush plate but standard plates again are oversized compared to Arc

I’ve had two Era 100s in a stereo pair, and I regularly AirPlay content from Apple Music on iOS or macOS. I love them a lot but one problem that’s persisted for the couple of years I’ve owned them is that after playing music for an hour or so, the audio on one of the two starts to fall out of sync, becoming delayed from the other speaker. This gradually increases if I don’t do anything, creating more and more of an “echo” sound.If I pause the playing music and play again, it syncs the speakers immediately. I have the speakers connected to Ethernet using the 3.5mm/Ethernet USB-C adapter.Is there not a way to have a gradual drift correction software-side to sync the speakers every so often without it being perceptible?

Hello, I have my turntable connected to my Era 100 speakers through the official Sonos 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. The issue I have is it's doesn’t automatically detect and connect to the line in when I play music to it. If I disconnect and reconnect the USB part of the adapter, it detects it and switches to it like it should. Any ideas why it doesn't detect it automatically without reseating the adapter?

My Spotify and TV systems are spotty at best throughout my home.  Some speakers show up in Sonos with a checkmark next to them, but don’t show a volume control.  I have an Eero Pro 7 mesh system, so it’s not my network strength.  Does anyone have any advice? Thank you. 

I have a new ARC Ultra and a new Sony Bravia XR8C TV.  There are no other HDMI devices connected to the TV, only the ARC ultra which is connected to the ARC input (HDMI 3).  CEC (Sony Bravia Sync) is turned on and working on the TV and Sonos ARC Ultra is listed in the Bravia Sync devices list.  Both the TV and the ARC Ultra are updated to the latest software.  Both the TV and the ARC Ultra have a hard wired network connection.  In the Sonos App, TV Autoplay and Ungroup on Autoplay are turned on.  The only other Sonos in the system is a Sonos Beam connected to the Master Bedroom  which is working good.  The problem is with the Sonos ARC Ultra.  It works fine for playing music.  If I have been watching TV and turn it off, when I turn it back later, I have no sound.  If I go into the App, it says TV (HDMI) is what is selected for the ARC but there is no sound.  The only way I have found to make it work is select Music then change back to TV in the App; after that the TV sound is fine.

I recently got an Era 100 and I’m loving the sound quality, especially with Spotify lossless over Spotify Connect. But I’ve hit a frustrating usability issue that I think affects a lot of iPhone users.The Problem:When streaming via Spotify Connect (which gives me lossless audio), I can’t use my iPhone’s hardware volume buttons to control the speaker. Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.
