Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My Sonos Move has a steady green light. It will not connect to Wi-Fi and does not show up on Bluetooth Seems I have done a reset to no avail. Any suggestions would be very helpful 

My Sonos Beam connects to the TV starts playing then drops. I have tried everything I can do. Still not working. I disconnected and connected it again, but it keeps dropping. 

I’ve received a replacement for my malfunctioning Beam Gen2 (same model replacement). I have 2x One SL’s on my current WiFi/System.  setting up the replacement Beam went fine through the app. At the end the app said to power cycle if I didn’t see the device on my app. I’ve power cycled the Beam and my router several times. Still nothing in the app. I double checked to make sure the One SL’s are working on the same network. They are paired as a stereo set and working fine so I doubt this is a wireless network issue. 

I have been told by Sonos support that my Play 1s are no longer compatible with my Sonos system and are therefore defunct.  They offered me 30% off new ones. I am finding this very hard to accept. Anyone else had the same issue?

Hi all,I’m hoping for some advice after an S1 - S2 migration has gone wrong.I bought an Era 300 and a Port today. I also had two legacy S1 devices (Connect + Play:5 Gen 1), which I removed and factory-reset using the S1 app. I couldn’t upgrade my existing system to S2 as it said my remaining devices could only be S1 compatible, so Sonos Support advised a full manual reset of my remaining 4 speakers and rebuild.After rebuilding: Play:1 and Play:3 added fine Era 300, Port, and two older speakers, another Play 1 and One completed setup and updates, but failed at the final step and show as unregistered in the app and couldn’t be added to my Sonos account Things I’ve tried: Router reboot Ethernet connection during setup for those devices that have them Power cycling all devices Restarting iPhone/iPad

Hello all. New to the Sonos ecosystem and an having this issue as described by a previous post. The post was locked with. I solution being provided and I have searched far and wide for a solution. All of my Sonos speakers, no matter the room they are in, will go into a “perma-mute” showing a solid green light. Only way to unmute is to physically touch the volume on the speaker or to go into the app and tap the unmute button. Please help! 

I’m having issues whereby nothing in the Sonos Pocketcast plugin is syncing too or from my Pocketcast app / account. I see this was a problem previously but threads have been closed for comment, but a quick search of the internet shows this is still a problem for other users also. Is there a solution?

After some weeks, the sound at certain frequencies is distorted and muffed. Went through all the steps from support and now I am waiting for a replacement. However, and based on all the users I see here with the same problem, I assume there is a design and engineering problem in the product. This speaks very bad about Sonos. I moved from a Sennheiser Ambeo Plus soundbar to Sonos as read multiple good reviews, but seems I made a big mistake...

 The system is Arc - Sub 3 - 300s. While playing a Dolby Atmos playlist I created using Apple Music the sound drops out.  When I try to pause I get the message “Unable to pause…”.  When I try to clear the queue I get the message “Unable to clear Queue…”.   Sent diagnostics.  Would not be thrilled about attempting to call.  Is that the only way to get results of the diagnostics?

Hello I have an arc ultra and sub 4 connected to a Bravia 8. Once in a while when I turn on the tv and put on a show or game to voices are all very deep sounding. Claire from modern family has a very deep sounding voice for instance. The only way to fix it is to reconnect the arc ultra via the app which is rather tedious. If that does not happen it some how is corrected in the next day or 2. Any advice or troubleshooting tips appreciated 

I’ve got and Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub 4 and just purchased an Amazon Fire TV that is Dolby Atmospheres capable.  However, when watching a movie with Dolby Atmos, I am only getting Dolby 5.1. Trying to figure out what settings I need.  For digital audio format I know I’m not supposed to use PCM or Auto; should I use Dolby Audio or Passthrough?  For ARC mode, do I select ARC, eARC, or Auto?  Any other settings I need to be aware of?  Does the quality of the HDMI cable matter?

I’ve recently updated my Sonos Move (1 gen)-S2 to latest software. I use it as speaker connecting via Bluetooth to google TV streamer 4K. I have no issue prior to update for 4 years of usage. But after the update, everytime i pause and resume video/music playback, the sounds only come out after 5-7 seconds as reported by other users in this thread. I just want to share that i found solution by downgrading it to S1 via the mobile app in case anyone experiencing the same issue and dont want to accept lame answers “it wasn’t designed for video audio over bluetooth”.

Hi! The volume slider worked for the first hour I used the product. Now, it's just an empty slider with no handle. I can't adjust the volume remotely, only on the device.  Inconvenient:) I found an only topic, about a year ago, where a friendly person collected diacnostic data but the topic was closed before a solution was shared to the dozens of people that reported the same issue.  It sounds like I have the same problem and hope to hear what I can do. Thanks!

Hi, for years when I open Sonos on my Macbook I have been getting the dreaded “Your Computer's Firewall Setting Have Changed” In my firewall setting I have Sonos added and “Allow Incoming Connections”. This is permanent and never, ever changes.But every few weeks I get this warning and I can’t open Sonos. Sometimes I quit and reopen and it’s fine. I have called Sonos a few months ago and they said there is no way to play Sonos on my Mac right now…. but I have been using it on and off since then. Tonight quitting doesn’t help. So my question is, why doesn’t this just work? Like all the time. Aren’t there Sonos executives with Macs where this comes up?Does anyone have a permanent fix? 

I have seen many conversations one this forum but they have all been closed after being “answered” - in sufficiently.  Like others who have posted, I am tech savvy and have been in the IT business for decades.  The Sonos app is without question the worst app that I have ever dealt with.  It seems that every time that I go to use my system, I have to reset the whole thing.  I have 5 components, a playbar, 2 play 1 s, a connect, and a subwoofer to support surround sound 5.1  .  Most recently after resetting all components and setting them up, the system does not work at all except that my playbar recognizes the physically connected TV.    Forgetting the fact that setup is a pain (it asks for my wifi password once for every component, has multiple “continues”, etc. it simply doesn’t work.  I am using an up to date Android on a Samsung and upto date Sonos App and a 2.4Ghz wifi (which required for my older Sonos equipment).  It would be nice if the APP told me what it tried to do, how fa

I am looking for what is the best way to integrate my Denon AVR X4500H into my Sonos system.  Ideally I would like to be able to output the Sound on the TV to multiple sonos speaker, Like watching a game and being able to stream the audio out.  I tried using the line in on my exiting Era 100 but that did not seem to work.  USBC to RCA nor USBC to HDMI both cable failed to detect a line in signal. I was thinking of getting the port, but that does not look like it has HDMI and I am wondering if this would work.  I also was looking at the AMP and this does have HDMI, but I am really not looking to amp any speakers, I am only looking to bridge in and out by Denon onto my Sonos Network.   I am not opposed to getting new hardware but I want to be sure I am getting stuff which will integrate.

I have the Arc Ultra but I’m disappointed when I play music Blu-rays with Atmos. I am getting Atmos according to the app but in most cases I’m finding that vocals and drums are very low in the mix and sound echoey.  I saw something on social media saying that the audio output on my tv should be set to prioritise pass through. I’ve checked my tv and it is set to auto. Is it worth changing this setting. Before I go mucking about with the tv settings I’m just wondering if this will cure my vocal problems from Blu-rays. Thanks in advance   

I am trying to use the NHL App to send a radio broadcast of a game to a Sonos Move speaker via AirPlay.  I can select the radio source in the NHL App, start the radio broadcast on my iPad, then select AirPlay and send the stream to my Sonos Move Speaker. This works fine. I then go into the Sonos App, select the Sonos Move speaker and set a Sleep Timer for 1 hour.  That works and the Sleep Timer starts its countdown.  However, at the end of an hour the indicator light on the Sonos Move speaker flashes white for 2 seconds (the normal signal the sleep timer is finishing) but the AirPlay audio stream continues to be broadcast to the Sonos Move speaker. I assume this is a bug with the Sleep Timer.  Has anyone found a work around?  Thanks.  Dave Wilkinson

The December app update announces the new feature below for the android app.But where is it?  It doesn't appear on the music library settings screen as it does in the iOS app.The only option I see is 'scan library:(System is at latest available update as of Jan 12th 2026) 80.34.40 (Android)80.34.37 (iOS)Release date: 03/12/2025In this update:For Android: Albums can now be grouped by Compilations or Album Artist (or left ungrouped), and folders can be sorted by Song Name, Song Number, or File Name.

My tv shows the beam 2 connected in settings. But the sony Bravia 9000h doesn't play audio I have checked the speakers of tv and sonos beam separately (they work) The beam doesn't play the tv audio and it's completely silent. Have tried repeated resets Any other options?Change the HDMI cable ?  

I think this topic was brought up a year ago:  But I’m still having this same problem.  I have “Song Number” selected in “Sort Folders By” but the tracks in any album with multiple artists are ordering the tracks by Artist and not by the track number.Can anyone help me with this?

Hi, I have been having issues with AirPlay since iOS 26 was released. During beta testing iOS I have submitted multiple bug reports to Apple asking them why my Apple Music audio will not play when the next song plays to my Sonos speakers. I have to manually skip the song in order to get sound working again. Music does continue in the iOS device, but no sounds plays to my Sonos speakers. Sometimes AirPlay will just not even connect to any of my speakers and I have to either turn WiFi on and off on my iPhone for it to work.  I have been beta testing newest iOS release and Apple sent me an email saying they fixed the issue, but they did not and I continue to have disconnects and audio issue. My UniFi wifi is setup as recommended by Ubiquity for Sonos and AirPlay. (Issue was happening since 9:50PM-11:00PM on 01/04/2026) Thank you.

Good afternoon.  I’m trying to ad a radio.co (.co, not .com) station to the sonos system without any luck. The streaming address is https://s4.radio.co/s7e7b6c165/listen  On Macos, I add it trough “Manage > Add Radio Station” . There is no feedback from the interface on submit, and the station is nowhere to be found. How to fix this? Thank you.
