Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Please please please add the ability to schedule night mode and enhanced speech mode on my Sonos. This request has been made so many times I can't believe Sonos has not implemented this yet.  If this is too hard to build into your app then please build a native integration with Slmartthings that allows me to set a routine to do the same.

Hello, Just bought a Sonos Arc and found out that one of the streaming services on my Android TV provides home theater sound in AAC 5.1. After fiddling with the setup and looking on the Internet, I found that Sonos does not support AAC 5.1, and it is downmixed to PCM 2.0. Some questions:1-  Are there any suggestions how to get AC3 to Sonos Arc? I’m now using an Android player capable of software transcoding AAC 5.1 to AC3, but it’s not an ideal solution. Maybe there are hardware transcoders capable of the task? Or a system-level utility for Android? Or maybe some TVs are capable of such transcoding? The only one that was suggested up to now is to use Nvidia Shield, which is told to be capable of transcoding everything to AC3. Surely something else can then do it as well?2- What is the reason for Sonos to not support this format? Is there a chance we would get support at a later stage? Thank you in advance!

My Playbar worked great yesterday. I've had it for 9 years. Today bam! No sound. Nothing happened. Everything else plugged into the same surge protector is fine. But when I contacted customer service and troubleshoot it. The only solution they can offer is buy something new. They did offer me 15% off the to upgrade.  I paid almost $800 for that it should last longer than that or the warranty should last a lot longer than 24 months.  Does anyone know somewhere that can repair it?

Just received the Sonos “Immersive Set with Beam” couldn’t wait to get it up and running. I’m in my 70s so please reply slowly…. Over the years I’ve had several systems that always allowed me to set a baseline volume level for each speaker in a surround sound configuration. I spent about 4 hours this afternoon on the Sonos App and no such luck.  I remember reading a blog about placing each ERA100 in its own room and going that route, with that, I was able to set the volume of each speaker but not able to save it when done.  Was hoping for the ability to save those settings that would stay proportional increased or decreased the grouping volume.  I though perhaps the “Zone” function would do that but didn’t have any luck.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,I’m helping my friends get their Sonos system setup.  They have an Arc Ultra and Sub 4 hooked up to their TV, two Era 100s in a separate room, and a Move.  Ideally, when they listen to music, they would like for it to play through all of the speakers, but when they watch TV, that would exclusively play through the Arc Ultra and Sub 4. Of course, they could manually add and remove speakers through the app depending on what they’re listening to, but that would be annoying to do that multiple times a day. It seems like there must be a way to set it so that the default for playback from the TV is through the Arc Ultra, and the default for listening to music is through all of the speakers, but I cannot figure out how to make that happen. thanks!Ben

Hi!  Does anyone know if Sonos will ever implement the ability to save volume settings? I balance out speakers throughout the house and then someone uses it making all speakers the same level.   Additionally, the ability to have custom presets for the volume would be ideal - Dance Party, Background music, etc., where there are different expectations and volume balance between each speaker and room.  This would be easy enough to implement even if it’s a locally stored settings file.  Oldest post I found bout this is seven years old, and there are hundreds of others, so clearly not a priority even though it’s a whole home system. Thoughts?

This could not be a simpler scenario that I’ve ran into massive problems trying to solve. I have a Sonos Move (gen 1) pair set up on my home wireless. Everything works great.I want to connect that pair to a new network. Both wireless networks are active, so I want to temporarily switch them. I want to “tell” the two moves to reconnect to the new network. I want to do this without factory resetting the two Moves.I have my phone and it’s connected to my new network. What do I do?

Can you control sonos from more than one phone?

When I look at the albums now in my library and the album has multiple artists it is split into many entries in the display. Effectively making the album view useless at it is not possible to play one album with multiple artists (and it it not reasonable to try and make hundreds of play lists one for each album manually).This is not how the album view worked in the old app :(

my Sonos has become so glitchy. It is almost unusable. It goes in and out all the time. Sometimes I get three songs in a row with no problem sometimes I can’t get one song in a row with no problems sometimes certain connect amps sync up sometimes times they don’t I’ve reset routers. I’ve unplugged all the systems. I’ve been having this problem that keeps getting worse. I have six Sonos connect amps a Sonos move and two Sonos play bars. Please help me 

I tried multiple times now to connect my 2 seperate Roams to the S2 app but cannot see them in the app. I have reinstalled factory settings on both. I have eloaded/re-installed the S2 app. I have pressed the power button as described in the support but nothing works. Pls support!

Hi everyoneRadio France's FIP radio links load ok using the Sonos app on an iPhone, but have stopped loading on an Android phone. Disconnecting/reconnecting Radio France to/from the app makes no difference, nor does clearing the cache of the app or a reboot of the phone.I am trying to avoid reinstalling the app because I want to retain the data for my system's setup.Any ideas anyone please?

Hello Everyone,I woke up today to find that my Mac Controller could no longer find my Sonos system. I reset Sonos Boost, router and the Mac controller but no luck.  System error says router is not in range and it is right next to my Mac. Is anybody aware of anything going on or have suggestions on how to resolve? I did notice an update to 26.1 of Sequoia as I was heading out the door today and perhaps that will resolve.  I am not sure if related, but I also noticed issues recently with my Mac and sites that use javascript. Perhaps all related? Thanks all in advance. 

Hello,I am using Sonos Ace in my business PC for business calls through teams.I am experiencing issues when I am in a teams meeting, I lose WIFI connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity.The network card in device manager has a caution triangle indicator and I need to re-install the driver every time. This happens 2-3 times every day.Could you please advice for troubleshooting this issue?I do not know if it is a driver issue from Intel but I do not have any problems when I connect my previous Bluetooth headphones  

CBC Music has been broken since the app update. I really miss the music streams that used to work perfectly before — I’ve been checking regularly to see if the issue has been fixed, but now even the live channels (CBC One and CBC Music) won’t load.It’s disappointing that we’re heading into another Christmas without access to the music that’s been part of Canadian tradition for so many of us. It feels like Sonos has forgotten its Canadian users. Please fix this — it’s long overdue.

I’ve used a local add free radio station for my alarm for many years (DR P1). Recently, adds from Tune In began to play every morning. I then deleted Tune In from my stations, but it kept  playing Tune In adds. Every time i try to set-up the alarm using the local station it reverts to chime - or if i choose the station via Sonos Radio, it plays the adds from Tune In (even whithout it being in my stations).This is VERY annoying. Is Sonos becoming an add based system?

I have quite a few playlists saved in the Sonos app. Most include tracks I searched and saved from Napster to my Sonos playlist. A few days ago, none of those tracks would play. An error message ‘lost connection to Napster’ would pop up and every Napster-derived track would be skipped over until the Sonos app reached a track sourced from a different streaming service. I did the usual stuff — cut the Napster connection, rebooted everything, reauthorized Napster, yadda yadda.Nothing worked. I have a Sonos TV system consisting of an Arc soundbar (wired), a subwoofer, and two Era300 speakers with Asus ZenWifi XD6 communications. The sound from the speakers is extremely choppy. It's impossible to hear the music. I previously had Sonos Ones instead of the Era300s, and I changed them to see if it was a hardware issue, but it wasn't. Now it's even worse. It stutters much more than before. I've tried everything: turning off the router, waiting two minutes, reinstalling the entire system. Even the recommendations given by IA: Disable Airtime Fairness, Disable QoS, Disable Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), …The Asus mesh system (one node on the same TV room) works great. Any advice will be highly appreciated.

So, my previous setup was a 6 year old Samsung TV connected to a Sonos Beam Gen with inputs from a PS4 and Sky Q. I managed to get round lip sync issues using a Toslink adapter.  I recently updated to a Samsung QE55Q7F2AUXXU, and a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with the same two input devices. I found that the lip sync issue was present on this device too. It is worth stating that this TV doesn’t have an Optical Port despite the manual stating differently.  I searched online for a solution, and despite changing settings on the TV, Sky Q, and the PS4 (DVDs and BluRays), I still experienced lip sync issues. I purchased a couple of HDMI audio extractors and whilst the lip sync issue was resolved, I lost some functionality with the TV remote because the Beam wasn’t recognised as a fully connected audio device.  I then decided to do a little more research and after some trial and error, I have resolved the issue without the need for any other technology. 

Just bought a move (2nd hand). Never been used, sellers information. The speaker will not charge. Keep switching between fast twinkling red light and slower orange lights. Any idea? Anyone?
