Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello,Happy owner of several Sonos speakers I just bought a CD player, the FiiO DM13 BT, to be able to use again my old CDs.I succeeded to connect the player to my Move 2 or an Era 100 via BT but any sound from the speakers…Do you think I have to use the Sonos PORT with this CD player to be able to enjoy my CDs ?(I have a lot of them already ripped in my NAS but still have others...)TIA

Hello, ever since the app update, I have been unable to create a room group without the playback stopping. Usually, I start listening in one room, then decide I want the playback in the full apartment so I attempt to add a room to the group. Every time, it stops the playback. Sometimes I completely lose the content I was playing and have to restart everything from the beginning. This happens no matter what service I am streaming from (usually spotify), and whether I create the group in the Sonos iOS or Mac app. So incredibly frustrating. 

I have a Port and a a pair of Play 3 as a stereo pair. Every time I stream music from iTunes I have to do the dance of remember in the Sonos App how to get the Port to play to the Play 3’s - can I configure the Port to always auto pair with the Stereo pai?

I had two play 3 speakers in my “Living Room” set up with surround sound. For some reason one speaker disconnected from the system and I reconnected it HOWEVER it did not go back to “Living Room” it created a new location “Living Room 2”. Now neither speaker talks to each other to create surround sound. How do I move the speaker to the “Living Room” zone and then reset both so they create surround sound. I tried unplugging and rebooting the speaker however every time I attempt to drop it in the existing “Living Room” grouping it goes back into “Living Room 2”. I tried several times and am toast. 

I have been receiving the error message below in the Sonos app for the last few weeks whenever I try to listent to the CBC content provider through the Sonos app. 

I can't use YouTube Music in my Sonos app. Nothing shows up in the app, totally blank. I've installed the app multiple times, relinked my accounts, restarted the router and so on. Searched the forums and web, no answer. Am I doomed here?  

Hi,I am using Apple device and 2 Amps with speakers.yourube music app worked for few days and what ever the solution I apply it’s not working like removing google account, restart phone, restart Internet, reconfigure app multiple times and it’s not working what ever I do.any one has a solution for this? Regards,sri

Many of my friends and I have noticed that as of now (updated Sonos app and firmware), Relisten will NOT automatically advance tracks when used as a streaming service within the Sonos App.  This is quite cumbersome for listing to concerts.  Please advise.  

I got a new router. I’ve managed to set up my newer products (beam, sub etc) using the Sonos app and WiFi. However I just can’t get the play 5 gen 1 to connect. I’ve followed everything on the S1 app. Connecting over WiFi it stalls after “join Sonos network”. connecting with Ethernet cable it stalls on “hear the chime”. The play 5 chimes but the app doesn’t recognise it. it was working fine on my previous virgin wifi, but just can’t get it going on new Vodafone power hub. The hub output seems to be 2.4hz. please can anyone help? 

Can someone with Sonos explain to me why I cannot play more than 3 speakers at once without my music jumping from speaker to speaker. This is constant, and never ending. I’ve spent tons of money over the years to outfit my home with 10 speakers, including a Sonos Move. They have NEVER, EVER, worked properly. I have asked for advise on more than one occasion and have gotten nothing but “it’s my wi-fi”. I have reset all my speakers more than once; I have unplugged each one and readded them, and just two days ago I deleted my entire system and created a whole new account and added each speaker back. None of this has worked. Not only does the music jump from speaker to speaker, but no song finishes to the end before the next song kicks in. Though I am completely done with this trash company, I am stuck with what I have and would like it to work correctly. It would be nice to know if anyone else is experiencing these issues.

I just bought the arc ultra and connected it to my LG oledG3836LA tv with an ultra high speed hdmi true eARC, digital sound on passthrough why is it as soon as i use my iPad and use an app and pass it through to my tv there is no sound also when i use an app on my tv (plex) the sound works but not if i try to start a danish serie ( i think the sound stream is stereo no sound at all then when I switch back from passthrough to pcm the sound returns.

Hi,I can connect with Radio France services such as France Inter or Franceinfo, but it doesn’t work with France Musique and FIP.Please can you help ? 

I have an ARC and Sub 3 in my living room.  My wife and I purchased it to maximize vocal clarity for TV and movie viewing.  Plus, I purchased it to enhance action movie viewing.  If I purchased 2 ERA 100s and used as back surround speakers, will these speakers improve or retard vocal clarity?  I can’t afford the expense of ERA 300s at this point.

My Boost has recently died, forcing everything onto my home wi-fi (it seems my Move will share it’s Wi-Fi settings with the rest of the system).Before I realised my Boost was dead I have struggled for months with the Sonos system - every time I used it different speakers were missing and even the ones that did appear would rarely work correctly. Voice assistants have been awful. Now I learn that new Sonos products like the Era 100 and Era 300 don’t use SonosNet!Given the truly atrocious performance of my Sonos system on my home Wi-Fi I cannot believe that future Sonos products are not going to have the option to use SonosNet (mine was rock solid for over a decade - never any problems). Is it possible that Sonos are going to drop the use of SonosNet entirely? If so, I’m afraid they have lost me as a customer.

I have a new Samsung TV that does not have an optical out but does have an HDMI earc. How do I connect the audio?

Hello,I have a Panasonic tv with Arc hdmi but not eARC one and I mainly use the Amazon Firestick 4k plugged into my tv to see movies. Is there any way to enjoy the sound quality of Dolby atmos movies with my Sonos arc ultra with this configuration ?  Best,Xavkyo

… and yes I have reinstalled the whole system and yes it’s all on one wi-fi network.  It’s better than it was a year ago, but it still poops the bed regularly.  Is it going to get any better, or is this Sonos now?

If I change the audio and playback settings in the Android tidal app does that also change the bitrate of Sonos playback when using Tidal connect? My understanding is that it doesn't and that Sonos will use the highest bitrate file available for the Tidal subscription being used; but as for some bizarre and unhelpful reason Sonos S1 (does S2 still do this?) keeps the bitrate of a playing track a secret, it's hard to know for sure? Anyone know the answer to this?

No one seems able to help me with this on a Sunday, but I’m trying to migrate all my Sonos speakers from one WiFi network to another.   I’ve been on the Chat with several agents for hours.   Evert time starting the whole sorry tale over- Chat Bot to real person.  One agent told me to unplug the router.   Great! So the chat disconnects and start and I over yet again.   I live with both dyslexia and dyscalculia, but no alliance is made for this.   We are changing our broadband provider from Sky (due to cost and poor speeds) to Pkusnet (will be full fibre etc).  To take advantage of the speeds from day one, I have purchased a TO Deco mesh system (3 units)  I have the first plugged by Ethernet into the Sky (for now) router.    The new WiFi network works perfectly.   All WiFi tech is able to join (desktops, iPads, android and Apple phones etc).  Now comes the problem.  In the Sonos app I was able to get the Beam to join the new network and a SL in a different ro

Hi folks,I have had a bit of a saga with my Sonos Connect working with my Sonos system. Quick Summary:Upon purchase, successfully added Sonos Connect Gen 2 to system that includes 2 Play:1s, one Play:5, and a Roam.  After some time, the Line In showed as Disconnected, and ultimately the Connect needed a system update that it could not execute. This was resolved with Sonos Support after successfully updating while connected via Ethernet.  Several weeks later, the Sonos Connect Line-In again showed disconnected and needed a system update that it could not execute via Wi-Fi. This time nothing worked (all the flavors of reboots on the phone with Sonos Support).  Out of curiosity, I took the Connect to another house and connected it to my in-laws’ Sonos system, on which it successfully updated and added to the system via Wi-Fi, When I took the Connect back to my home, hard reset, and tried to add to my system, it still shows as

Hi everyone, I have a Sonos Playbar that shows a solid white light immediately after plugging in the power (not flashing). Nothing else happens — it doesn’t boot or respond. I connected a JTAG interface and it only outputs “NAND Boot…”. It seems like the u-boot bootloader might be corrupted or not starting properly. Has anyone encountered this issue before or managed to recover a Playbar in this state?Would it be possible to reflash the u-boot using a programmer, and if so, what tools or procedure would be needed? Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
