Hi everyone,I recently started testing a streaming app that’s popular in Indonesia with my Sonos 5 speakers. While playback generally works great, I’ve noticed some variability in audio consistency when switching between different types of content (e.g., live streams vs. VOD).I’m curious about how others optimize Sonos settings for apps that rely on cloud streaming. Specifically: Are there recommended EQ or sound settings on the Sonos 5 that improve clarity and balance across different genres and streaming conditions? Does the streaming bitrate or network variability noticeably affect performance on Sonos devices, and if so, how do you compensate? Any tips for Sonos app vs. third-party integration scenarios — especially with non-global streaming services? Long shot but any help welcome. I plugged my new Beam into my LG C9 HDMI 2 port, flipped the option for EARC in TV settings, hit the button to set up my TV in the Sonos app… and immediately got the HDMI ARC not detected screen. After a lot of googling I disconnected all other inputs, power cycled the TV and Beam, played with turning eARC off and basically everything any AI Overview or forum post suggests. Anyone got anything to suggest beyond setting to fire to both devices? I naively thought this should be easy 

Hi all! I have the most odd “issue” (complaint?), and wanted to see whether others had the same experience. I recently bought a Sonos Beam 2 and the audio is weirdly biased leftward. This is particularly interesting since I previously bought (and returned) an Arc and Arc Ultra for the exact same issue. But my daily driver has been a Playbase which has no directional bias and sounds fantastic. I also have a Playbar which has no bias.I searched around and saw that others had this observation, too. Are the tweeters on these speakers somehow left-oriented or left-positioned?For context, I am in a small room and sitting about 6-7ft from my TV. There is a wall about 5-6 feet to the right of my TV when facing it, and the wall on the left is far away.I am having the issue regardless of TruePlay or input source, or surrounds. But again, the Playbase and Playbar are perfect! (I only swapped them out because I am getting a weird ~5-20ms audio delay over optical with my TV’

I have 8 devices and mostly the system is robust.  However, for parties I may take a couple of speakers from upstairs and place them downstairs to provide full house ground floor coverage and play them grouped together.Never seems to work.  Some of the speakers seem to play for a minute or two and then stop and then randomly start and stop again.I am all Wi-Fi and all updates been donePay 5 Gen 2 Stereo pair with Sub, Era 100, Move Gen 1, Play 1 and 2 x Sonos 1 Are there still app issues with grouping? 

Hi Sonos Community,I recently bought a pair of Era 100s to use as surrounds to my Sonos Ray soundbar.Long story short the Era 100s immediately lose the connection when I add them as surrounds to my Ray, even though the Sonos app gives me a confirmation that it’s all set up.After trying all the troubleshooting steps I reached out to Sonos support and they told me that this is a known issue caused by my Vodafone Ultra Hub router, and the only solution is to hardwire them together in order to work as surrounds, there is no wireless workaround / solution.It’s pretty disappointing that I cannot use half of these speakers functionality due to this incompatibility, especially that my router is not specifically listed as incompatible by Sonos.Anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions I can try? Maybe a new router to create a separate network for these speakers..Any advice would be appreciated :) 

I hope someone can help with advice. There is no sound coming out of the mid right speaker.Ive tried with an aux input to make sure it wasnt a wireless issue etc. I checked and all the driver chips are getting the correct voltage on pin 14.Ive tested the speaker seperatly and its good.All components in that area seem to check out, any advice would be appreciated.

Hi. I like to use my Move (first gen) to connect via Bluetooth to my projector. It sometimes works fine and I can watch all night with no issue but often it will connect, works for 10 seconds, then cuts out. On these occasions no amount of disconnecting and reconnecting or even removing completely and re-adding will work. My question is, what changes on the occasions it works?! I often resort to using a Roam which always works but would obviously prefer the extra oomph of the Move. I have 2 move 1s and both have the same issue.  any ideas?

Hi everyone 👋I’m looking for some advice on which HDMI audio extractor to use with a simple home theater setup.My setup is: Sonos Beam 2× Sonos One SL (rear surrounds) Sonos Sub (Gen 2) Apple TV Projector (not 4K) I don’t need Dolby Atmos — I only need Dolby Digital 5.1 and I’m not trying to pass anything more advanced than that.Up until now I’ve been using a Nedis HDMI audio extractor between the Apple TV and the projector/Sonos. It worked fine for a long time, but recently the audio suddenly drops out after a while when watching content via Apple TV. If I restart my Sonos Beam the audio comes back, but then disappears again after some time.If I play audio directly via the Sonos app there are no issues at all, so it doesn’t seem to be the Beam itself.So I’m just

When watching TV - how can I resolve the popping and clicking noise from my Era 300?.

Hi!  I bought my dad a couple of ERA 100’s an a separate cd player for Christmas. His old Bose cd player had stopped working. I used the Sonos inline adapter to connect to the cd player using an aux cable. Sounds great on the songs, but in between each song or when you do anything with the cd player remote the era 100 makes a super annoying popping noise. I’ve tried calling the customer support but haven’t gotten any help. I’ve ordered a replacement inline adapter, a couple different cd players, and a ground loop noise isolated to try and trouble shoot this.  Super frustrating trying to get something to work for my dad that was super simple with his old Bose stereo. Anyone else have this issue or suggestions?

Always when I change volume of tv by my tv remote control it appears text on tv: "the volume of the sound is constant" + warning sign.  It is just annoying 

I have a Ray and 2 Sonos speakers. The Ray is connected with an optic cable to my TV and my Sonos speakers are connected via wifi. I never have any issues with the Ray, however, my Sonos Era speakers constantly go out. I’ve invested so much time and money into these just for the sound to be miserable.I have upgraded my router to a high-end one that is supposed to be great for distance and wall penetration. I’ve also moved my router in hopes that would help. I have tried buying wifi extensions just in case it was a signal issue, but all signs say the signal is fine. I feel like I’ve done any troubleshooting step there is. Can anybody help? 😩

For a over a year, I needed to remove and reinstall SONOS app on my mac to get it to work. After restarting MAC sonos app stopped working.Now it has also stopped working on my IPAD and IPHONE.This is the only application in the apple environment that has continued endless problems.Please hire some programmers that understand how to program in the mac/ios environment.or just give us a remote control. Getting retired of this problem.today none of my devices have a functioning SONOS app.yes, have removed and installed multiple times. 

Dear Sonos team,I love my 7 of my 9 Sonos speakers. Please help me love my Era 300s.I recently upgraded my surround setup with the Arc ultra and two Era 300s. I did this for two reasons:1 I wanted a better home cinema experience with Dolby Atmos. This is working great.  2 I wanted a better music listening experience. This was what convinced my wife that we should get the era 300s, and she is less than happy (I am sad also).The Era 300s are marketed as premium surround speakers, but when setup as surrounds their main driver is turned off. This would make perfect sense if you could seamlessly switch to a stereo pair for music with the main driver on. Sonos Port sends audio to:Sonos Beam 2 + Sonos Sub Mini + 2 Sonos One + Marshall Stanmore 2.I want to replace the Denon RCD M40 with a Denon DCD900.Will the sound quality improve?I've heard that Sonos Port limits the quality by digitally re-recording the audio and that it's not worth it.Can you give me any information?Thank you very much!

Well this is the case since the “ wonderfull”  app update the worst ever seen, it happens on all devices iphone, ipad, mac . If you change radio station to other station the app show the new station logo in the app, but it still plays the previous station. So station looks like it changed in the app but the actual stream  did not. You need to stop the station and start it again the get the right stream playing. This is a software error ! Again I have seen other remarks on the forum all closed so it looks it solved. IT IS NOT ! Sonos do fix it !!!!!! As customers we have already been confronted with enough amateur software to last a decade…… So do not come to me on Wifi settings and blame it on someone else. Maybe ask CHAT-GPT to fix it for you ?  

Can anyone hjelp? I have a "line in" audio signal on my Sonos Port. Now, I don't find the line in as an option in the Android app. What is wrong? Another "update" by Sonos?  

Hi All,has any one had a similar experience?My ethernet lan and wifi has been “untouched” (no new clients added - except occasional cell phone upgrade) and working fine for 6 years with no new clients etc added - I have 13 sonos units, 8 unifi wifi aps, 10 managed switches and 180combined network clients. It was working fine (ethernet lan and WiFi) for 6 years then early december 2025 it went crazy with multiple clients constantly appearing and then disappearing off the network, clients unable to connect with each other and the internet.  Nothing worked. As a precaution I replaced the old router (10 years old) and unifi wifi controller (8 years old) but still no improvement, then disconnected individual switches and wifi aps to test if they were the cause - they werent. DNS settings were checked as well. in summary, only when all 13 sonos units with powered down and disconnected from the lan / wifi did the network behave itself

I have my Sonos system wit my beam and surround plays and two bookshelf speakers. However, my Sonos Play seems trapped on a second system. Nowhere on the app am I allowed to delete the second system or to merge them so I’m unable to use my PLAY. I’ve factory reset it a number of times but it says it’s added to the WiFi but not the system. It’s the speaker I use for music and I’m getting nowhere with it.  any help or advice would be much appreciated! thanksChris

Why is it not possible to see the battery left on the roam 2 on an android device when connected over bluetooth(without using the app or asking vc)? I feel like much cheaper speakers are able to do this, it shouldn’t be a problem.Also, it would be nice to have a battery health page, that shows the maximum available capacity compared to stock.Otherwise pretty satisfied.

Recently google assistant and YouTube Music stopped working - Say around either later 2025 Dec or Early 2026 Jan. I have had a few issues in the past using YouTube music on Sonos and familiar with the standard fixes like remove accounts and re-authentication google etc,. Som after the remove/add accounts, the Google Assistant works but not YT Music. So this seems to be down to YT Music this time.I use Google Premium family. The Google account I have linked to Sonos is a member account. This account works perfectly on one of the iPhone’s YouTube Music App, so I know YT Music and this account have no issues.
