Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I am unable to control the volume using the receiver.  I am using 2 ERA100 speakers and 1 Sonos Ray. I have an RCA going from Sonos Line Out to the receiver SA-CD/CD IN. II have created a Group in the app with the 3 speakers and have the Line set as Fixed in the app. All components connected to wifi. Am I missing something that might cause this not to work?

Nightmare; just spent 3 hours on various efforts to make my S1 app connect to my two long serving CONNECT units. Has been working for years without any problem, but they have now dispappeared from my S1 app. When I try to open the S1 app, it somehow connects to my parallel S2 system, and suggest I upgrade to S2. Have been on a chat with the UK chat and the dutch chat support, but the chat connection dropped 4 times while working through this. There may be a workaround with shutting down my whole S2 system, then resetting the app, disconnecting/reconnecting the CONNECTs, but really? Problem is compounded by the fact that you may reset it for one OS, but I have 4 (W11, W10, Android and Ipad). When the app works on one operating system, trying to connect with another breaks the Sonos-system again.The early adapters into the Sonos universe are not well served here. Is there anyone with a suggestion?

My Era 100 makes beeps when not used - I believe it is when my bluetooth paired laptop is closed and in the house. Playback from the laptop via bluetooth is fine, but when not used the loudspeaker will make those beeps regularly, even it is muted. I don’t understand the point of this feature and you should simply remove it. I complained a few years ago, you promised to put it on your updates list, but nothing happened.

With the introduction of the Amp Multi and the lack of any hdmi input or atmos support, I thought it might be an interesting conversation to consider why that decision was made.  I personally would have liked to seen hdmi input, whether that brings atmos or not, but I can see some reasons why.The primary reason is essentially that home theatre is just not then intended reason the device was made.  It’s for whole home audio.Adding hdmi and atmos would be features that many users don’t want and don’t want to pay for. Additional features and use cases like this lead to increased possibility for bugs/issues to occur. The amp multi is designed to be primarily be in a rack far away from a TV, requiring a long hdmi cable. This is 8 channels, or 4 stereo pairs.  Home audio setups are usually odd numbered, with a center channel.  So either a center channel is missing, or one of the audio channels would be unused. Hi All, Does anyone know if you can play Radio 3 Unwind ‘Sleep’ episodes on Gen 1 Sonos? I want to play the sleep section from unwind but the live broadcasts don’t start until 11pm I really need them before that time. I have searched everywhere but can't find an answer. I have BBC Sounds on my Sonos app, but there doesn’t appear to be a ‘catch up’ option.

My Sonos ray when connected to my TVvia optical cable does not appear on the app. When out of cable it works in the app.help?

Hello, I own 7 Symfonisk speakers at my workplace.While streaming Sonos Radio I got no problems, with flawless audio streaming in all of them.But if I try to use any of the other (Amazon Music, TuneIn, and Qobuz tested) some of the speakers stop to play randomly and with no apparent reason. So, I can’t use any of my paid subscriptions.Any suggestion?

been using Sonos for years and suddenly, 1 week ago, I was not able to update my Music Library (usb connected to the Router as a NAS).Sonos App says “//XXX.XXX.XXX.X/MP3_Router’ is no longer available. The device storing your music files may not be turned on, or the path may have changed.”nothing changed, Router, network, settings…..any idea what it could be?

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that Sonos could develop a simple app for WearOS? It wouldn’t even have to be full featured: simple play/pause/ffwd/rew controls would be great.We had a simulacrum of this with the old Sonos app, which correctly registered as a media player with Android so it could be controlled from the notification shade and the lockscreen, which meant it could also be controlled by the watch, but this has been gone ever since the new app came out.

Hi Sonos users,I used to have Play 3 surrounds along with a Beam gen 1 + sub gen 1. I’ve now replaced the play 3’s with era 100 surrounds. I noticed the surrounds didn’t sound as good with the Era 100’s as they did with the Play 3’s. After a bit of reading, I learnt that I should change the digital audio out format on my tv from stereo (uncompressed) to Multichannel (bypass). My TV is a Phillips. This has improved the surround quality from the era 100’s when I’m watching normal channels. However, now when I want to watch Amazon Prime Video, the speakers don’t work unless I change the settings back to stereo (uncompressed). I didn’t have to do this with the Play 3’s. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know why my new set up requires this settings change?Thanks

Screen black outs happen intermittently when Arc connected and running PS5 or BluRay Player.  How do I fix it as it was never an issue before?  This started suddenly fall of 2025 with no changes to set up.  Samsung TV.

I thought I’d replace a Play:3 with an Era 300 as the app has behaved itself for a while and eventually added the alphabetic selection back to a local library… I should have known better. At all stages of the process it’s been a shambles. I had two 30% credits on my account from old gear and buying a single 300 used both… I then get a survey request asking me how I liked my 300 before it had even shipped, so I’m sure you can imagine the responses that got. The Era 300 arrived today and wow, how absolutely unfriendly can you make the simple task of replacing a speaker with a new one? There’s still no way to remove a speaker from your setup. The best suggestion is to factory reset it… so did that with the Play:3, but the Sonos app now reports the old speaker as missing… brilliant. Add the Era 300, the app detects it, but bombards you with popups saying hey I’ve found a speaker and then more popups to stop the popups… I just want to use the app to check stuf

I use sonos for playing old cds from music library.It now seems that it has duplicated albums and juggled the order of tracks around.Very frustrating as playing cds was the main reason to buy sonos.I can't face dealing with support again as it wastes loads of time. Any ideas how to rectify the duplicate album issue? ( they're OK on the laptop , so it's not the source material).  I have updated the app ( samsung A54) and the laptop plus tried to update the music library to no effect. This is subsequent to the phone app crashing a couple of days ago with message it's due to a bug.  Retry when developer resolves bug.  Also some songs have gone missing from sonos but are in the source directories  Has anyone any suggestions as to how resolve this?

Was having trouble giving Sonos S1 access to my iTunes library hosted on TrueNAS Community Edition 25.10.1 (Goldeye) and figured it out with information from this forum and the TrueNAS forum, so posting this to help others that are also struggling.Step 1: Configure the SMB service in TrueNAS to “Enable SMB1 support” and “NTLMv1 Auth”. Hello - I have an Arc Ultra in the basement with ceiling mounted rear speakers that are wired to an Amp one floor above. The ceiling speakers work great for music when not bonded to the Amp, and when I bond the Speakers/Amp to the Arc Ultra they will work as rear surrounds temporarily. Eventually they will disconnect and the Amp will lose connection to the Arc Ultra. I understand the problem is likely that the Arc Ultra is probably too far from the Amp; moving the Amp closer to the Arc Ultra is not possible due to wiring issues however.My question: is there any way to strengthen the connection between the Arc Ultra and the Amp without physically moving them closer together?Both the Amp and Arc Ultra are connected via WiFi. There is no hard-wiring in the system to the router. Thanks!

My right surround (Play S1) randomly plays birdsong. It usually happens in the morning when I do not have the TV on but occasionally happens while I'm watching TV and have the front sound playing through my beam. 

System has 15 devices and all running latest Sonos software.  Been a long time user (10+ years) and been through a lot of bumps over the years.  Right now running Mac OSX Tahoe 26.2 on a M4 Mac.  Both iPad and iPhones work flawlessly all the time, but the Mac about every 2-3 weeks cannot find my system.  I am so tired of the usual restart everything ( router, computer, speakers, amps, etc) that I want to trash the whole system.  If I'm sitting at my office and using only my computer I can rarely control the system.  Why the simplicity of the iOS and the lack of OSX reliability.   Haven’t changed a thing in the house, running fiber at 1GB same as always, with good coverage everywhere.  I refuse to run all over and disconnect and reconnect for 2-3 weeks of use, someone explain why one works and the other doesn’t.   All I hear is that must be a network issue, but if iPads running only on WiFi work why not the Mac?

Hello!Not sure if it's Mac OS related or Sonos app related but I can no longer find my system on my Mac mini. My iPhone works fine and my MacBook Pro also works fine discovering the system. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, made sure network and firewall access was enabled and still nothing. Anyone have similar issue with a fix?
