Sonos Ray TV connectivity issue

I have a Sonos Ray and a Samsung tv (with no optical port). I also watch TV through a Roku stick. I purchased an adapter to connect it all but when I turn my TV off for the night, then come back the next morning. I don’t get any sound from the soundbar. What can I do?

You purchased an ARC to optical adapter?

If so you need to set it and the tv to communicate and then set the tv output to use ARC and the adapter. Between tne tv and adapter manuals you should find the proper settings.

Thank you Stanley_4 for replying.. I was able to make it work for that day but unfortunately it wouldn’t work the next day without me going into the settings and toggling the audio output. I don’t want to do that every time I turn on the TV

Try disconnecting the adapter, unplugging the tv for a few minutes, then power it back up and insert the adapter.

Checking the tv for updates sometimes picks up a fix if it was a known problem.

More knowledgeable folks here might have suggestions if you tell them which adapter.
