System update was run (version 86.8-7820) in sonos app S2, after the update, my two play3 speakers (stereo mode) lost base and now these are sounding like ordinary speakers. Sonos has not kept any provision in their S2 app to rollback to earlier version (version before the update). Please suggest if it is possible to restore earlier version by any other means.

Not that I’m aware of. However, I’m listening to my two PLAY:3s as I write this, and I’ve not lost any bass on either of them, and am running S2: 87.00.37-release+20260715.78f1c25ef
Maybe an update might fix this issue, although I didn’t notice any loss beforehand, either. Or possibly just a reboot by unplugging them from the wall for two minutes, then plugging them back in?
Alternately, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here.
There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.
When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
