The Local Network setting can be found under Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Turn the setting for Sonos S1 off, wait a few seconds, and turn back on. Can also be found in Settings → Apps → Sonos S1. Same Local Network toggle.

Couple of suggestions.

First, make sure your ZP 80 is connected to the router (temporarily) with an Ethernet connection.

Second, go in to the iOS settings, and toggle ‘Local Network’.

See

 for additional, but scant information.

Once the system is ‘seen’ you should be able to remove that temp Ethernet cable.

On second thought, try option 2 first. I suspect that will work. If not, try option 1, and if that doesn’t work, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

FWIW, and as described in the linked thread, Apple is known to have network permission issues.

Factory reset is almost always a bad idea aside from the few situations Sonos recommends it for.

Since your old controller was connecting this is an Apple problem, not Sonos.

Thank you all for your help. When I went to check local network settings under apps.  For some reason local network was shut down. Turned it back on and access was restored!

Thank you

Best,
