Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My system stops playing after every song.  I have to restart the playlist after each song.  Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this to happen? 

After having some issues with my music library playing playlists with more than 100 songs, I decided to delete it and add it back (before I discovered the playlist limit is a known issue).  It had been so long since I added the library, I had issues adding it back.I have discovered a couple issues.  First, I can only add the Public folder from the NAS.  I cannot just add the Public/Shared Music Folder.  Are subfolders supported?The other issue is the library is creating multiple of the same playlists.  I only have .m3u playlist files.  I suspect it is reading the playlists in the iTunes library.  I have backup copies of the library in other folders which would explain why there are several versions of the same playlist.I am curious if others have encountered these issues and if there are ways to correct.

My music source is primarily my Plex server. I have multiple Sonos systems.  One system has just a Move and is located on the same network as the Plex server.  Another system has only a Beam and is located remotely from the Plex server.  The third system is also located remotely from the Plex server and contains two setups there: Home theater (Arc Ultra+2 Fives+Sub (Gen 3)) and a Move.    The first two systems play playlists from the Plex server just fine.  Changes have been made over time, and I can now play playlist as big as 9K songs.  That’s great.  On the setup that has the Arc Ultra, it will not play any Plex playlist (short or long).  It simply times out and says cannot play song and skips to next, skips to next and on and on.  The Move at the same location has no problem playing any Plex playlists.  This tells me it is not a network delay issue.  I recently discovered that if I start a Plex playlist with the Move, then add the Arc Ultra setup, the Arc plays the music just fine

I have searched and seen similar topics.  Most relate to Amazon Music.  I do not have any issues playing a Spotify playlist of more than 100 songs.  If I select a playlist in my Music Library, any of the ways to get music into the queue results in 100 songs.I have tried the workarounds to empty the queue, add one song and then select Play Next for the entire playlist.  That does not work.  Nor does any of the selections to add or play the playlist in the queue.  All result in an error and/or just the first 100 songs being added.I can scroll to the end of my playlist.  The only way to play a song outside of the top 100 is to only add that song to the playlist.  If I select any song beyond the top 100, it will play the 100th song.FWIW, I have my playlists in 2 formats, iTunes and m3u.  Both behave the same.  I get the same behavior on all devices.  I currently only have Android devices, all running the latest available app in the Google Play Store, version 80.17.09…How can I play larger

Hi, I’ve just bought the Arc Ultra soundbar to stream music via bluetooth from my phone.Is there a way to connect via bluetooth to the brand new/never configured before arc ultra?I will mention that:I don’t have wi-fi in my place so can’t configure the sound bar which sims to need it for configuration. Yes, I’ve noticed the bluetooth button on the back of Arc but it does nothing after pressing for a few seconds (no sound, no blue blinking light, no new bluetooth device ready for pairing visible).

I have a Sonos system and would like to have family members be able to control the system without providing my credentials.  Can this be done with their own user id’s?

Has anyone managed to add a music library via an android phone? The add button is greyed out for me. 

We lost the entire system in the app...we have since readded the ERA 100’s and they show in the system but despite multiple resets we cannot get the app to find nor add the Ultra arc despite going through the instructions and it telling us that it has been added...any help would be appreciated

I have my Era 100s set-up as a pair left and right with a Hisense tv. I get sound just fine and no crackling, but I have to turn them up to 75-80 (out of 100) for regular viewing/listening. That seems way too high, when the stock tv speakers I can barely turn up to 25. I have the volume limit off as well. Why are they so low?And yes, I physically go to the slider and make sure they are all the way up on the speakers themselves.  

My play one is no longer showing any power. Tried the factory reboot, but still nothing.

In a prior, now locked. post I mentioned how I had to break up my m3u playlists to be 1000 tracks or smaller to work.  Annoying but I wrote a script to automate it so it wasn’t too bad.  After the 80.19.05 it seems that even 1000 track m3us are too big.  They will load and when I hit play, it just spins forever.  Now I need to figure out what the new, largest m3u playlist size is. One step forward, two steps back Sonos.I really fear bankruptcy for this company now. It’s almost a year since the ‘upgrade’ and the app is still only about 50% as useful as it was before.MikeS Edit:So my experiments show that the max size m3u playlist is between 100 and 250 tracks.  Sigh. Pre May 2024 I was able to play Sonos playlists of > 1000 tracks with almost zero problems. Post may 2024 I eventually lost all access to my Sonos playlists so I made m3u playlists instead. Discovered that m3u playlists > 1000 tracks would not work. Post 80.17.09 “update” now m3u playlists > ~200 tracks do not work

I just got an arc ultra.  Connected through a regular arc port.  I cannot tell if the spatial effects are working correctly.  Is there a way to test this?  Like a youtube video with sounds that ping around the room?

There's 100 euro off 2 era 190s on Sonos website. Seems a cracking deal. Anyone bought refurbished kit before and any issues with it?

I have just set up 4 Sonance VX60R speakers in the ceiling of my studio and want to optimize them with my Sonos Amp. The speakers are all wired correctly and there are no switches or volume controls. When I try to optimize the speakers on the Sonos App I hear the high pitched tone but receive a message saying “No Sonos architectural speakers detected. Any help optimizing this set up would be appreciated. 

My Sonos of Beam has developed a fault (volume limited to 15), and the web support (chat) could not help.My Beam volume keeps bouncing back to 15, whatever I do, and to be clear: Have factory reset and re-added to my system There is NO volume limit set on the Beam (100%) Happens if used as a standalone speaker or with HDMI connected (note: Sonos support agent was adamant this is just a TV soundbar - I had to explain the Beam can be used just as another speaker, it does not have to be used as a soundbar.   Sonos - please trained your staff up!! I have three speakers (2x one, 1x five) that I have in a group, the ones are a stereo pair.I want to have the five be significantly louder than the other two due to the bass it can create. Q: is there a simple way to say “the five should be 30% louder than the ones”?right now I am CONSTANTLY adjusting the levels individually because the default volume behavior in a groups fails me horribly. what happens? every time I adjust the group volume, something moves the ones louder and closer to equal volume wtih the five, then I have to adjust the five up and the ones down and the app does the same stupid behavior of moving them all closer togheter.I need that “the volumes should all be close together” behavior to be disabled or to be able to set a ratio that it enforces.

HelloI just installed new ERA100I had to verify my Windows Sonos version update.I did it, update is done and OKBUT in the app Can’t have my normal user screen back.If I restart the app, the PC, I can see the normal user screen 1 second but after I come back on the screen “please verify your updated version..”What is going on ? 

Hi, I didn't find this problem covered anywhere else...I stream through Apple. When I start playing an Apple playlist arranged by Artist via the Sonos app, the app plays the first track from the playlist as it should, but then the following track flips to one from another artist. (So, I select artist X but then the second track flips for some reason to artist Y). I don't have this problem when I stream directly from the Apple app. Any ideas? Thx. 

How can you connect Ray sound bar to new tv with no optical input

I'm not new to Sonos. I've been there for the good and well of course suffering the bad lately. I have roughly fifteen devices and have replaced a number of those over the years. I've been pretty happy until the recent app debacle. Recently I decided to upgrade an old second gen device with something newer in my bedroom. Rather than go with an era 100 as I was planning, I decided to take the opportunity to upgrade my move. I relocated my Move to my bedroom and bought a Move 2. Sound is definitely an upgrade but the connectivity is atrocious. At least once a day, the app stops being able to control the volume. I can't even use the buttons on the device. They fail and show red on status when clicked. Yes I can restart things and get it back to a functional state but this has become a regular thing. I'm so annoyed that I'm planning on returning it and going with the cheaper sonos one and putting my original, reliable Move back into duty.Is there any reason I should keep the Move 2? Has an

What is going on with Sonos? Has it been taken over by a bunch of grifters. The S1 app was useless and now after making its customers suffer through the S1  They have come up with the S2. Which won't even let me sign in on Android,  but will ask me for money, so that I might be able at some time in the future to actually use the speakers I purchased ... this is  a class action in the waiting .. Sonos for some reason can make speakers, but not a control system
