I have several gen 1 sonos play5 speakers but  some have damaged mesh on the front. Is there a way or guide how to replace that mesh? Where can I find a replacements mesh?
Any advice would be helpful.

thanks.

If you search, there are some DIY repair videos posted by users.

From your user profile I notice that you are located in the EU. There are some 3rd party SONOS repair services in the EU.

Not really sure if there are guides for this. Given that Sonos doesn’t suggest/want you to open their products, you’re unlikely to find an ‘official’ document. And given that the PLAY:5 gen 1 is so old, I suspect the only place to get replacement parts is by buying used devices (perhaps non functional?) online, and swapping the parts.

But as to how to actually remove/replace, I’ve no idea.

Maybe a different path, SoundSkins are dead easy and offer a lot of nice colors.

I'm too cheap to buy them so I made my own using inexpensive speaker grill cloth. $8 not $80 was nice.

to bad… ill look into some kind of skin. I wish SONOS would have made their devices and aseptically the meshes more serviceable.
