I currently own the first generation sonos arc and sub 1 paired with two(2) SL ones.

I am planning on replacing the SL ones with a pair Eras 300 and add a sub 4 to use a dual sub, will this be possible.

Looks like no.

Using two Subs with your home theater speaker

Some Sonos home theater speakers can connect with up to two Subs.

. . .

Arc, Beam (Gen 1 and 2), Ray, and Amp: Compatible with all Sub models in certain configurations:

  • Sub 4 can be used with another Sub 4 or a Sub (Gen 3).
  • Sub (Gen 3) can be used with a Sub 4, another Sub (Gen 3), a Sub (Gen 2), or a Sub (Gen 1).

A refurbished, from Sonos or a used Sub 3 could work for a good price.

Move the old Sub to another room or sell it to help with the upgrade cost.

Maybe two refurbished Sub 3s?

Sonosequencer will allow it, but would be cheaper to pick up a new or refurbished Sub (Gen3) which can be added as a 2nd Sub using the Sonos app.
