Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My Sonos Play:1 gets lost to my home system every time the Sonos app is updated on my phone. Interestingly my Sonos One players stay in the network but the Play:1 is only visible if it is connected via ethernet cable. If I reset the speaker and add it connected via cable, in the process the speaker is updated as well and after another reset I can add it again via wifi. This is a very tedious procedure considering that there are usually multiple updates per month.Currently (App release 80.24.32-release+20250717.e5bcd8b) even this solution does not work, so that I can use my Play:1 only hardwired (which is pretty idiotic for a wifi-speaker)

A wonderful playlist was spontaneously generated on my Sonos app titled Sunday Afternoon Mix from my personal music files collected over decades on various media then manually up loaded to Apple Music and combined with my iTunes library. 9,000 plus in total.   The mix generated by the Sonos app is the best I could have put together on my own. Problem is that I can only enjoy the playlist on my Sonos 2 platform but not my legacy S1 platform. I can live with that but would very much like to migrated the playlist to Apple Music or my hard drive/cloud so I can enjoy it remotely.Does anyone have a solution?Thanks, Murray

I’ve got a very frustrating issue going on. I’ve got a pair of Sonos One speakers that I foolishly tried to update to the S2 controller. I have nothing but problems since doing this. To get the speakers connected to the S2 controller, I have to do a (cumbersome) factory reset. When I finally get the speakers connected to the S2, everything works great, and I spend a couple hours listening to music.However the next day when I try to listen to music again, the S2  tells me “No products found” on my network. It prompts me to go to system settings. When I do that, it says me system can’t be found on my network, and prompts me to update my network. When I do that, it finds my two Sonos One speakers but says they are unable to update these products, and instructs me to factory reset them. So of course I spend 20 minutes doing two factory resets, and everything works. Until the next day when it tells me to do the same thing over again.I tried to downgrade to the S1 controller

Hello there, I own three play:3 speakers and one connected amp.For a few years i did not use that set, cause i’ve lived somewhere else, but few mounts ago i've come back and power the speakers on, but i’ve encountered a lot of problems.With Sonos support i’ve been successful to update 2 of 3, but last one still giving me headache.I've been on the support chat on the website, but they could not help me, so i’ve been told to make a call to the support team.I did that, but two calls later and almost two hours wasted making me do stuff that is already done tens of times with the chat support (also provide case number) there’s been only frustration and nothing more.Frustration comes from that the support people on the phone, 4 or 5 people, not sure how many times they swap, fallowed some basic guidelines and don’t fallow the specific case. Just recently started having issues with my arc ultra! We have to have the volume up at like 50+ to get a decent volume out of the arc! Before we wouldn’t have to have it any louder than 20 to get decent volume. We can talk over max volume on the hdmi and music through the app! Very frustrating! I called Sonos and they had me run a diagnostic test and said everything is ok. But I don’t know how they can tell when the volume is at 20 or 40 or max, how loud the volume really is or should be. I really would just like to send it back and get another one! Something is definitely wrong though.

I currently have a Playbase paired with a pair of Ones and a Sub gen 3.  I am very happy with it except for the fact that the Playbase does not connect with the Ace and I cannot upgrade the pair of Ones to a pair of Era 100s. Did anyone ever have a similar setup as mentioned above and then upgraded to a Beam gen 2 or Arc Ultra, with a pair of Era 100s, and a Sub?  If so, how does the sound experience compare. Thanks in advance for your comments. 

My Sub gen 2 (bought used) will connect to my system and will play bass for a few seconds but then it clicks and no longer plays. I’ve reset it, reset the zp120, factory reset the sub, recalibrated the sub and reset the router and no luck. Any other suggestions? Out of all of my Sonos products this is the first time I’ve had an issue over 15+ years. 

Have had an issue for few weeks when tapping on a track on my soundcloud feed on S1 app, it plays a completely different track on the feed, if i press 3 dots and hit play now it plays ok, you used to just have to tap on the track and it would play

I have a number of Sonos One and a Move. Recently the Move stops playing, then after a period, sometimes minutes, sometimes longer, it resumes.I’ve tried everything I can think of, including factory reset. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have two Sonos  play1 and two Sonos play three speakers. Purchased years ago and I loved them.  frequently recommended then to friends and business clients. Then Sonos did away with the bridge. I have hardly ever used them since. every year or so I spend a day trying to get them to work via WiFi. get frustrated at the drop out and connectivity issues. Then never use them again for another twelve months until I get some time to waste. I have fibre is there an alternative to the bridge. I do I just swap over to Bose?any ideas would be appreciated.  

Hello - I have a pair of Sonos One speakers purchased in 2019.  I connect to a desktop computer to Spotify and sometimes from my mobile device.  I need to add another pair of Era 100 speakers to a different room.  So they will be on the same wifi network.  Is it possible to connect one device to one pair and a different device to the 2nd pair while both Sonos pair are on the same wifi network?

Just purchased (New) a pair of Sonos Ace headphones.They go with my Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar, Sonos Sub Gen 3 and 2 Symfonisk surround speakers.The swap function works fine but the volume of the headphones has to be at 94 to be sufficient for my usual listening preference. I am not saying it is a massive problem but with some of the films I watch I find it hard to understand what the characters are saying.This may be more a hearing problem my side, but surely their must be a work around to get a wider volume range?I have updated all my products firmware/ software. In music and normal TV watching the volume seems fine. It is purely listening in swap with the headphones.I like the headphones and can live with this third world problem, but any advice to make them better would be welcome. Many thanks

I have an Arc Ultra via HDMI to the tv and use the Era 100 via Bluetooth as an extended speaker - not surround sound. The Era sometimes connects to the Arc and plays perfectly, but after a while it disconnects from Bluetooth and keeps connecting to HDMI on the app (which is is not connected via HDMI) and the sound disappears? How can I get the Era and Arc to sync every time I turn on the TV - or press the Era and turn on when the Arc is playing? 

If the new Sonos CEO is truly sincere about winning and earning back customer trust and good will. Now is the most opportune time to add all DTS formats, including DTS:X, to Sonos home theater products.Plus, it would only strength Sonos in being a better and more complete sound system for music and home theater enthusiasts.No more excuses.

Once every day i have reauthenticate the YouSee service. When done I can play my playlists BUT they are not updated in the Sonos App with the new songs I have added in the YouSee Music App.I have removed the YouSee service, i have removed app data from the Sonos App, I have reinstallere the Sonos App. Are there any known issues with the YouSee Music service?

Hi, my best mate recently passed away and he gifted me his SONOS system. A Playbar, Sub, 3 x Play 3, 2 x One and a sub.Unfortunately, he passed before deregistering but, that’s ok, I’ve carried out a password reset and with the permission of his Mum / Exec, I’ve changed the password so I can log in.I am new to SONOS.I have started with the Playbar, I’ve changed ownership to me (which was tricky) but, no matter how many factory resets I do, I can’t connect it to my wifi. I add the new device (Via new system) get it working (whilst using an ethernet cable) yet when I go to network / manage networks / update networks - continue then every single time I get the message attached - unable to update these products. I have a Vodafone WiFi Hub Router, and I have the S2 app latest version.Interestingly, I had the same problem with one of the Ones but, I hadn’t changed ownership on that - only the Playbar.I am usually good with IT

Has anyone else noticed that their Arc Ultra has started making light crackling sound. It's not 100% of the time but every now and then and gets resolved if I restart the Apple TV. I’ve had the Ultra for months now and never had any issues but after the most recent update, it started happening. Even the wife noticed it so I’m not imaging it, haha.My Arc software is - 17.2 Build 90.0-67171

Here is a screen shot of an album on a shared upnp dlna server. I can click and play an individual song. But I can’t choose to play the whole album.  And I can’t just click on the first song and have it play all the way through.   Is there a solution?  

Hi folks, I haven't yet taken the plunge to purchase a speaker/s. I use a Marantz currently and its music library accessing by folder from my PC, works fine.I organise my recordings by folder, subfolder and file name. I don't use, artist, composer, album or any of those options as my meta data isn't too good.So its a deal breaker for me if the folder option is not available via the app.Please don't direct me to adding a music library help page...it doesn't discuss this.I tried to install the app on Android to find out for myself if this works how I want, but it needs a speaker to link to first...which I don't have yet.Is there anyone out there who uses Sonos App Music Library from their PC that can tell me if this method of access (by folder) works?

We purchased a home that has 4 in-wall architectural speakers in the living room and 2 outdoor speakers (old Yamaha speakers). Is it possible to run all 6 speakers off the one Amp? And if so, is it possible to have different “zones” (e.g., listen only to the 4 in-wall speakers when watching TV, or listen only to the 2 outdoor speakers when outside)? Or do I need two amps (1 for the 4 in-wall speakers and 1 for the 2 outdoor speakers)?Thank you for your help!

Sub mini keeps disconnecting in the app, requiring a reboot. It only stays connected for about 2mins. I have rebooted the router, and the sub is close to a mesh extender. 

I have a Playbar and 2 AMP’s. I have had an Eero Mesh system for 6 plus years with the Sonos. Recently the App doesnt recognize the Sonos system.  I chatted with someone at Sonos who said my iphone and the Sonos are on different IP addresses.  How can I get them on the same IP address & if I do this will the issue go away? Thanks for any help!

Hello and hola to the original poster of this question!Because that topic has been closed unanswered I have recreated it as I have the same exploded IC inside my Sonos S16 Amp. Does anyone have their S16 open at the moment and can tell me or send me pics of this Texas Instruments chip labelled as U16 on the circuit board? From the other post I see LM??002 perhaps….** If your Sonos unit has problems, please don’t take it apart. Speak to Sonos for help. **I would really appreciate these quite modern devices not going into landfill in my country and any help will be appreciated. By me and by the earth of the future!

Sonos S1 app one of my rooms disappeared from the rooms icon. It does show up under the systems tab under products IE: Dining room bridge. Dining room does not show up under rooms. Any help? I tried deleting app and reinstalling it . 

I have just purchased a Samsung 83” S95F, which comes with a 2024 4K One Connect Box. The One Connect Box has an Ethernet Port, 4 HDMI IN (of which one is eARC) a couple of USB 2.0 Ports and an Optimcal Port.I want to connect:Samsung (Ultra) ARC Subwoofer Sonos In Ceiling by Sonanace (AMP plus two speakers) We are currently refurbing the house so have the opportunity to put as many cables in as needed (vs relying on wifi or bluetooth). I have never used Sonos or set up a home theatre previously. What I would like to know:firstly is there anything “wrong” with this set up - i.e. In Ceiling speakers are not compatible with an ARC what input does each device need electricity? ethernet? eARC? ... what devices should be physically cabled to each other vs relying on wifi or bluetooth TV (One Connect) to ARC Anything to Subwoofer Anyth
