When I open Spotify on my iPad and select aSonos speaker to playback music why does my iPhone and iPad seem to battle it out to control volume and selection The volume control is particularly annoying as it is a constant fight between the two of them!help please

I have a stereo pair of Fives. Up until yesterday everything was fine. Now, when playing from my turntable (connected to the Left speaker via line in) the right speaker will not play. Other speakers in my system (One, Beam) will play if selected but the Right Five remains silent. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have a Sonos Play 5 (gen 1) and Sonos S1 app on a Samsung Galaxy S22 phone. Have been running into problems connecting to my system as it comes back as not being able to be found. At times, I’m able to connect wirelessly using the Windows Sonos S1 app but again I sometimes run into connectivity problems. Have gone through all of the normal troubleshooting steps to no avail. Had a Sonos tech on the phone yesterday and they finally suggested I have Optimum (my ISP whose modem/router only they can look at and change many of the router settings) verify some settings. Well, after Optimum botched things up to the point where I had no access, we were finally able to get my internet and wireless back on line supposedly with the recommended settings in play. However, Optimum suggested there might be a problem with the router and I should visit one of their stores to have it replaced. Trying to conect roam to de app to configurate for first time.After sharing the wifi pasword and so on it shows a message (the screenshot below) and closes the app. I try to folow the steps this message indicates, but the device stays forever with the white led and it’s impossible to conect it again. I have to restart it to redo the hole process to end up in the same point of the message.If someone does know something about it, i would like to hear itThanks! The message is in spanish, it says Sonos roam has been added, but it may not appear in the system, in that case hold the power button 5s to power off, and then, power it on to continue the configuration form the system config. 

Hi everyone, I’m having trouble with my Sony TV and soundbar setup. The soundbar occasionally stops producing sound when switching between different HDMI sources. Initially, it would only occur when switching from an HDMI source like my gaming console to a streaming app. The problem was temporarily fixed by toggling the TV's sound settings from HDMI to TV speakers and back. However, now the issue persists even when watching content directly from the TV’s internal apps. Sometimes, after an episode finishes, the sound doesn’t come back for the next one, and switching the sound source setting resolves it. I’m using HDMI ARC and passthrough, and have verified that all settings are correct. Despite following suggestions from both Sony and the soundbar manufacturer, including disabling various power-saving options, the issue remains unresolved. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Could it be related to HDMI handshake issues?

Since moving to the new Sonos app I regularly get a message on my iPhone telling me that “wifi isn’t connected” when I try to use the app. Wifi however is connected and the system can be turned on through other phones (which also randomly get this problem at different times). The solution currently is to wait for a random length of time….. seconds to an hour….. before the app decides to connect me to my system. The previous app was rock solid for wifi connection. This app is really flakey. Does anyone have a solution or share this problem?

Since the latest awful updates in the IOS app, I can no longer save speaker name changes as the useless ‘Playing Now’ window blocks the Save or Done button. I am trying to rename the ‘Patio’ speaker to ‘Office’. No combination of swipes or slides appears to hide that thing. If I click the back arrow, (the only visible option), the changes are discarded.I do NOT have Homekit or Alexa linked. How can I rename speakers now?I have the latest Sonos S2 build 80.05.04 running on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and all speakers are updated to current software. 

My wife and I sometimes like to watch TV together after our son has gone to bed, but having the volume on makes too much noise in the house. Can we both wear our own Ace headsets and connect to TV audio via Arc at the same time?

So I needed to check my Music Library settings on my Android Controller App to respond to another post here. Opened the controller and the Manage menu doesn’t have a Music Library setting. Checked the About screen and the controller is exactly the same version as on another Android that is showing it with no issues.Tried a Controller device reboot and still the issue persists.The Alarm option is also missing on the problem controller.

What happened?  Its worked fine since the day I got my pair of Era 300’s.  It was working as recently as last week (8-15-24).  Now I get lossless streaming but not Atmos on music I know for certain is Atmos in my library. I’ve restarted my Mac and my iPhone and the speakers and still no Atmos.  I’ve tried the trick where you move the S2 app scrub bar to get it to correctly show if its streaming Lossless or Atmos music but that doesn't do any good.My iPhone is running Sonos app version 80.06.03 installed on July 30.  The Era 300’s are both running version 16.3.1 (build 80.1-55240).

I can’t tune my brand new Arc and gen 3 sub with Trueplay because the app gets stuck on the “turn your phone around and point it at your TV at eye level” screen; the Continue button does nothing.  Because of this, my new system sounds hollow and awful.  I have heard that the new app released earlier this year in May is the culprit.  I have tried restarting my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and deleting and reinstalling the app.  I thought maybe I could get around this issue on my iPad Pro but I can’t even get get passed the license agreements screen, even after reading everything, the Accept button will not allow me to proceed.   This app seems fundamentally broken.  Does anyone know of any work arounds to get Trueplay working so I can enjoy the system that I paid nearly two grand for? I was really excited about finally getting a Sonos system for my setup, but unfortunately this debacle is making me want to take everything back to Costco and get something else.

Hello: My Sonos One has not been connecting to the TV and Beam. Both are on the same network and found in the app.Any Thoughts? I tried the Chat feature on the website and that was a joke. Thanks!

The new sonos app on MacOS and iOS do not have a 15 second (or 30 second) rewind button option, or a forward button option which was on the previous app.When listening to a audiobook it was frequently used to replay by a 15-30 second jump backward. Using the scrollbar is difficult when going back a short distance

Sonos Arc soundbar connected to LG HDTV, in use for over two years.  Within the past two months, when I play Spotify via iPhone to the soundbar, TV comes on with still pictures portraying the music (artists, album covers), or some unrelated screen saver pictures.  Prior to ths, TV did not energize, music simply played through the sound bar using Spotify.  I am unaware of any change that I may have made.  Would someone please coach me through What to check?  TIA

How do I attach the in ceiling round speaker grills.  What for the magnets attach to?  

Exact opposite of everything I’ve Googled.I deleted an album from my NAS. It’s gone. I’ve searched and searched and it ain’t anywhere.Yet it still appears - and plays - from my Music Library. (Yes I’ve updated my Library and yes I’m using updated versions of controllers...)Of course, there’s no way to see any of the underlying data of the file to try to trace it.Anyone else seen anything like this?

I think I’ve just had more than a 4-hour call with Sebastian S’.  If it was Sebastian, I should start by thanking him again for his patience, professionalism, and not swearing at my in Romanian!  Be advised that any technical issues are usually my fault! After switching to a fibre optic broadband, using a Deco M4R Base Station and TP-Link ‘range extension’, my Sonos App lost visibility of my five Sonos speakers (3 x Sonos One (Gen 2), and 2 x One SL), and Sonos Boost, all of which I’d enjoyed using wirelessly with Norton 360 and four BT range extending disks for the past four years.During a lengthy support call, we reinstalled the Sonos App on multiple occasions, disconnected Sonos Boost, tried uninstalling (factory reset) and then reinstalling one One SL speaker, disconnected the router Ethernet cable from a BT disk to connect directly to two speakers in succession, uninstalled Norton 360 from a second mobile phone on which we used the Sonos App, turned off and on the power to all dev

Hi I’ve just bought a pre owned play 1 and would like to add it to my system but my system is S1 and the new play seems to have S2 installed I have factory reset the play 1 several times but still cannot connect tried to contact SONOS to ask if the downgrade tool was working in the last software release waited 30 mins then cut off 😡 I’ve tried to follow the advice online to no avail still cant connect does anyone know the steps to take to get this connected.

Every one facing the same terrible customer service from the support center ? Waited 48 minutes to get connected and they said hello and could hear so many people talking in the background, then went on mute and dropped off the call in few seconds ! All that waiting is waste .. trying to call back and now waiting time is 40 minutes ..  my arc won’t connect to surrounds and subs .. tuning doesn’t work, diagnostics doesn’t work, literally most of the app doesn’t work..  been in this situation for months and finally thought of calling customer care and it’s so frustrating !  anyone got fix from customer support or just need to wait got app fix in next few years ? 

I am trying to connect a Play:1.  It connects to the system but says it is not registered and the ‘Fix It’ button does not work.  I have tried rebooting and reconnecting several times.  I have also tried connecting the speaker via an ethernet cable, but when I do that the system does not find it.   Moderator Note - Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

Sonos connects , playsonesong, then loses connection 

My speakers have been offline since I switched my internet connection.  However the app won’t allow me to update the information for the new connection. The button to do so is basically frozen. It won’t work or allow me access to that menu.  Anyone else having this issue?  I have erased and re-downloaded the app, updated it, everything has been done!

When I choose YT Music from the Sonos music menu, all I see is a folder for playlists. When searching for specific songs/albums/artists in Sonos search, I never get any results. The only way I can get it to work on Sonos is just via AirPlay. Am I missing something or is the YT Music integration that limited?

Music skipping around within songs. Forward and back, almost entire verses it seems. System is 2 Era 100s connected with Ethernet now to the same ethernet switch. Gig internet with plenty of bandwidth available. Only happens when streaming from services in the Sonos app (I only use Apple Music). AirPlay seems unaffected. I had the same issue when using WiFi so I switched to Ethernet. I assumed that using Ethernet for both speakers connected to the same switch would fix any timing issues.
