era 100 started sounding awful, do not know what to do, help

Hi everyone, so today I noticed that my whole setup was stuck at 15 in volume. What I mean is that every time I turned the volume up or down, it would change on its own and go back to 15. After resetting, unpairing, etc., I found out that one of my Era 100s was causing the issue. It’s also started to sound very bad, like only the treble is working. Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do, and do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

The obvious is to contact Sonos support and have them investigate. Maybe generate a diagnostics report first, too.

Likely a hardware issue. SONOS units are designed to shut down or reduce Volume if a speaker draws too much current. This usually prevents the user from damaging the speaker with Volume that is too high. Here I think that a hardware fault is drawing enough current to trip the protector. This should leave tracks in the diagnostics.
