Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

So I’ve just bought 2 Sonos Era 100s. The description suggested I could connect using either Bluetooth or wifi. I don’t have wifi - I tether from my phone, which is the cheapest option for me.I could not get the speakers to talk to one another without wifi so went to a friend’s house and set them up using his wifi. Worked perfectly and managed to pair them to get stereo.But back home that’s not working. I thought I only needed wifi for the set up and pairing - do I need a permanent wifi in my home?Super disappointed and didn’t think I’d be having this problem, so I’d be grateful for any help

J’utilise indifféremment le controleur Windows ou Android (S2)Depuis quelques jours, j’ai très fréquemment l’erreur suivante : Impossible de lire “Titre du morceau” - la connexion à Deezer a été perdue.Le problème se produit systématiquement lors du passage d’un morceau à un autre, jamais en cours de lecture. Je peux d’ailleurs facilement le reproduire en appuyant sur le bouton “Titre suivant”. Hi All,I have seen many posts in here about issues with Samsung TVs and Sonos ARC in the area of eARC, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) and Dolby Atmos. Especially the TVs that have a “One Connect Box” like The Frame or the High End ones like my brand new Samsung S95C 77 Inch. Who would have thought, that after operating a 8 Year old Samsung UE65KS9080 9-Series 65” Curved TV flawlessly with the Sonos ARC for years, that I would run into such issues with the new high end Model from Samsung which literally costs thousands of Dollars. It also seems nobody has really found a long lasting fix for the issue or figured the root cause. Since the latest Sonos app change Sonos fails to find my iMac Music Library despite giving the path location.  I was told that by now Sonos would have fixed this.  Has anyone else had success?

I inherited a restaurant with a sonos system in place.  I don’t know what the speaker types are but they are all wired to an amp which is connected to 2 ports, one labeled for half of the restaurant and the other the opposite half. Issue is, they both control random speakers throughout the restaurant, one speaker doesn’t even seem to be connected..  There aren’t many, maybe 20-25 speakers max.  I don’t really need 2 seperate channels.. It’s too small a place to play 2 different sounds at once. That’s not all.. What had happened was.. the amp was not the right size for the power and was making some wild noises so a friend offered to swap it out for another that could handle the input. (I don’t know crap about this so bear with me on the terminology. I’m a chef.. I’ll filet you a fish or make you a souffle without batting an eyelash but I am probably going to sound like an idiot going forward). The speaker wires are all jammed into the available black and red wire spots in the back.. onl

Sonos Connect seems to have ceased to work.

I tried resetting my sub by unplugging, press and hold power button, and plug it back in. The orange flashing light remains flashing. I called customer service and did the whole process mentioned above and still doesn’t work. Does it mean it’s broken? The rep offered me 30% off a new one if I returned it. I laughed at her and said I am not doing it. I want to fix this issue. Can someone please help? I have 2 Gen subwoofer. 

I was pleased to discover yesterday that the functionality to mute individual rooms (products) had been reinstated.  I tend to have all my products grouped together and mute and unmute them as I move around the house, as it’s easier than constantly grouping and ungrouping rooms.I’ve been experimenting with it today and it is completely useless, because whenever I change the group volume it automatically unmutes every product (unlike on the old app).How could anybody think that this is the desired behaviour?  Isn’t there anybody left at SONOS with a brain?

When I select an album the tracks skip in at random times between 5 and 30 seconds

The new app took away more than half of my Spotify playlists. How do you get them to download? 

The Manage link under settings needs to be modified/updated to make it clear it is a tapable button.  There are lots of edible settings under this that people think have been taken away.

Can Sonos please prioritize volume control responsiveness when using the iOS version of the app?  Not to pile on but geez what a major step back with the latest update. What the heck?  Was there no user acceptance testing?  I have not seen a comparable market size software release fall so short.  I have been a long time SONOS user and have been generally satisfied but am concerned with the direction of company over last several years.

I updated my iMac to Sequoia 15.0 yesterday.  I have now lost control on volume of my Sonos systems regardless of the app I use for playback.  Whether I use the volume control on the Sonos app, Apple Music (iTunes) app or the Roon app when I set to the volume to the level I wish to listen it will in seconds automatically reduce the volume significantly to a very low volume level.  It does not matter at what volume level I set it it reduces to the one singular volume level.

For several days now I cannot play tunin radio station WFMT. In the SONOS app when I select WFMT , the station logo appears along with the Play button. When I click the Play button it changes to the little ‘please wait while I connect’ circle. After a second or two it changes back to the Play button and the station does not start playing. Click the play button again and the same thing happens - the SONOs appears to be connection but again it stops and shows the play button. All of of my other tunin stations continue to connect and play without this problem

Hi all. I’m about to pull my hair out and haven’t been able to find the information I need. I have a Samsung UN70TU700DBXZA 70” Smart TV purchased new in 2021. My Sonos setup is a Playbar > Connect Amp > Surrounds via the optical output on the TV. I know this is older equipment but haven’t had issues. At some point I had this working on my previous older Samsung that I shattered when I last moved, but I’m not sure what’s happening this time. My current TV is a newer model. My Apple TV and PS4 are set to output DD5.1. On the Sonos App I can see the Playbar is receiving Stereo PCM. If I run an app like Netflix on the smart TV itself the Playbar switches to receiving Dolby Digital 5.1 over the optical cable. It seems the TV does output DD but not from the HDMI inputs. The TV menu only offers “PCM”, “Auto”, and “Pass-Through” - although Pass-Through is greyed out. I have tried multiple HDMI cables from my devices to the TV. I have ensured my external devices are set to Dolby Digital.

Hello,Starting 2 days ago, the app crashed when I start it from the icon on the homescreen, but not when I start it from the icon in the apps menu.  Why might this be happening?  I’m on a Samsung galaxy A7.

I’m trying to use the sonos web app because the mobile app is having issues and so is the desktop app and the sonos web app isn’t loading properly…

I bought a Beam 2 sound bar and two Era 100 smart speakers. I was able to set up a home theater system. I was gone for three months and when I came back I could not detect the speakers on the Sonos iOS app. No matter how many times I reset, the speakers are not being detect by the iOS app. Help!

Hi,I resently disconnected my Sound base and now connected my Amp with two passive speakers and two Sonos One. It works well in surround but is a bit annoying when I just want to listen to stereo from the passive speakers alone when playing music from other sources. I know I can go in the Sonos App and switch off surround manually but is there a way to set up two groups. One surround group with Amp+passive+2xOne always automatically switching one with the TV (Connected to Samsung 2024 model with HDMI Arc) and then another group with just the Amp and the two passive speakers for when I play music without the TV. I have two other Sonos speakers in the kitchen and in the dining room.BrgdsClaus 

I’ve seen people playing Atmos via Airplay on here, but I just downloaded iOS 18 RC and tried playing Atmos to my Arc and two 300 speakers. It did not play atmos coming from Apple Music. Is this function broken?
