Hi.My play 1s and play 3s I know are a few years old now but they do not work well with the new app.App doesn't respond just freezes or still shows song that was playing 10 mins ago.My Play 5 gen 2s are fine probably because they are newer.I can't afford to buy newer speakers. Is there anything I can do? My WiFi is fast at 500 mb so no speed issues.

I’ve been running PLAY:1s and PLAY:3s without issues forever, certainly even after S2 and v80.x were released.

I suspect your issues are related to either issues related to the wifi interference , or duplicate IP addresses, and have nothing to do with the speed of your internet, per se.  I’d certainly check the wifi interference FAQ, as well as performing a Sonos network refresh, by unplugging your Sonos devices from power (or powering them off, if battery connected), and rebooting your router. Once the router has recovered, power back on your Sonos devices. This will give them both a fresh IP address, as well as a refresh of the Sonos OS. Finally, check your system for updates, in case there are any that need to be applied.

Some users have been having issues with older hardware, and hardwiring them sometimes helps.

Try hardwiring a Play 1 to see if that helps with the issues you have. You can also make sure you have the latest firmware updates for all speakers. If there is an update and the Play 1s and Play 3s have a hard time updating, ue a PC or Mac to perform the update.

Hope this helps.
