Before purchasing two Era 100s I emailed Sonos and asked the question if these were compatible with the original Playbar I had. In writing, they said the Era 100s are compatible. HOWEVER, they will not connect with Playbar to make a Surround Sound system. I was completely misled by the Sale representatives.

Very unfortunate for you - and them, since you have the email. You certainly shouldn’t have any issue returning them for a refund.
