I cannot find the option to connect to my NAS using the Sonos app 

I have an existing NAS configuration, where the share is //NAS/Music Library/   with a space.If I try and add this to my Sonos SL using the app it just errors and tells me to check the username and password. (which I know are correct).Now the example on screen tells me not to use the trailing slash character, but if I don’t use that then the Add button stays greyed out.    I cannot believe in 2024, that I cannot use a sharename with a space, so can someone please advise how I should enter the location (I have tried quotes etc)Thanks in advance

Hi,this is maybe a little bit strange, but I will explaine the situation:there are serveral SONOS speakers in a bar/pub/restaurant.In germany, you are not allowed to play the music as loud as you want and can… so I recognized the “limit volume” funktion at the system control.This is a great function to limit the max volume in a bar/pub/…   BUT:Everyone can change this limit.However, in order to comply with official regulations, this function would have to be blocked so that only a technician or the owner can change the settings. A waiter, for example, would not be able to do this.The function could possibly be restricted to a confirmation email and a link that the account holder has to click on, just like resetting a password.So: if the setting is changed, an email is sent, if it is confirmed, the change becomes active, if not, it is reset.

Hi! I am an Italian living abroad and all of a sudden I can’t listen to Radio Rai anymore through the sonos app. I can still find Rai stations in Sonos radio and TuneIn, but I only get the “Welcome to TuneIn” refrain.Anybody can help?thanksLara

Hi, I didn't use my sonos for a while. Now I decide to use it again. It takes a while to find all components again and connect them to wifi. After it was done app say - i need to install update. As soon as I try it, it says- looking for updates, then - "something went wrong" and no other options. Do you have solution for this issue?I restart all sonos staff, restart router, restart phone, restart tablet. Didn't help.

Hi i have enjoyed to be able to use essential control functions ( multimedia controller) on my Google Pixel watch 2 to control Sonos. But since the rollout of the big new Sonos update, it's no longer possible to use this function. The multimedia controller on the watch still works with all other player apps installed on my phone. But for some reason just not any more when using Sonos! I really miss this option. Is there a solution/update that will fix this issue.

A few updates ago that, individual songs from Apple Music no longer show up on recently played. Albums and playlists show just fine. I have removed and re-added my Apple Music account, but this did not fix this. Is anyone else seeing this?

I have received multiple emails over the past couple of weeks regarding app improvements related to queue management features. Yet, when I look at a queue I cannot re-order anything. When I click the dots next to a song in my local library or hold down on a selection, I cannot add it to end of queue nor can I add it to be played next. Where are the supposed queue management updates in these new app updates? note: using iOS and iPadOS 18

This came out of nowhere. I have no control over treble, bass and the loudness on/off toggle. None. It seems the balance slider is functional. Is this another ‘known issue’ that ‘Sonos is working on’… or is there a fix I can implement here at home?I tried updating everything in the app. No change. Whatever default settings I’m stuck with sound pretty terrible with most content I’ve tried.

Hi, are there any users in France with an Era 300 and an Orange internet acces with a Livebox 5 router? I'm trying to set up my new Era 300, but can't get the WiFi connection to work: the initial connection to the Sonos app on my Android GSM works fine, but when I enter the WiFi password,  the system can't connect. I've tried all possible router reconfigurations, incl.separate 2.4 and 5 GHz SSIDs, with and without WPA security keys/passwords, but nothing works.Grateful for any solutions or useful hints. Thanks!

I’ve noticed recently with the new app update that I can no longer see the artist that is currently playing, this is true when I search for an artist or a song through Apple Music or other other streaming as well as when I’m just playing the radio.  I used to be able to see what song is currently playing. here is an example, I’m listening on my Roam (only) and put in an artist in Apple Music, playing that artist’s music but it still shows a song I selected from my own downloaded music from earlier today.  I can use the volume and off buttons here but not forward.  Also when I go into Apple Music it doesn’t show me what is playing.  Ugh!  

Sonos Play:5 (Gen 1 ) stopping randomly for 5-10 sec when playing Spotify  but works fine with Tidal and radio stations. I have done everything Sonos support suggested. Sonos support said that it is a internal memory problem (to small memory for high-res streams). But Spotify is far from high-res and Tidal works fine. I have no network problems. Please fix this Sonos! 

Hi everyone,I have a radio station that I added to my Sonos favorites using the old Windows app. I created it in "TuneIn/My Radio Stations" using the URL <http://turntable/>.In the new Windows app, I can still find this radio station in my Sonos favorites and start playing it.However, in the new Android version, the icon for this radio station is visible but grayed out and cannot be selected.How can I, in the new versions of the Sonos app for Windows and Android:define a radio station by URL edit this definition and start/stop this station?Thank you!

Brand new joke from Sonos ?  In the app recent update, this alert appears even though my surround Eras 300 are installed as mentionned in the manual when upside down.  And seemed ok in the regretted Sonos 2 App.  is it something new to upset us a little bit more ?   

I have recently added the Sonos arc ultra to my setup (sub gen 3 and 2x ones in surround. When I use streaming services Netflix / Plex it sounds great, but for some reason sky movies have to have the volume turned up and surround sound isn’t great. I am running the tv to the arc via HDMI earc. I also have all Sky settings at Dolby digital?

Can someone tell me what exactly needs to be taken into account when it comes to the distance related to setting the surround sound?The distance between the Era 300 and the listener's ear, or the distance between the Era's external speaker and a nearby reflective surface?The Eras are located on the wall on both sides of the sofa on the wall, facing forward towards the TV and there is a maximum depth of 10-15 cm between the listener and the speakers. The distance between the TV (77”) and the viewing position is approx. 3 m. I know it's not perfect, but you have to adapt to the existing conditions. Both are at an equal distance, 1.3 m to the right and left of the student's position. The one on the left is 40 cm and the one on the right is 60 cm from the furniture, which means the reflecting surface.During movies, I have the feeling that the one on the left sounds louder than the one on the right. I’m having trouble with my sound. I use my phone or iPad to control volume. It now seems to only work if I use my tv controller and put it on mute. This issue started up after trying to connect headphones to my tv.

I have some over-long track titles which appear as greyed-out (dimmed) text in my Sonos music library. My first thought that these tracks had been somehow lost or failed to be recognised from my NAS Drive, however, on checking these track existedI found that you cannot select a greyed out track title to play now, but you can select the album containing the greyed out track title to play.If the Sonos App has a limit on the number of characters for a track title, I suggest the track title should always be displayed in normal text with … following the last character, indicating the title has been truncated.    

I keep having this notification. I wish Sonos had more setting options in the app. More features more functionality. This however has been going on for a month with seemingly no fix. 

I just noticed that my Sonos app says that my Era 100 surrounds are in an unsupported orientation with no further instructions. They are inverted and mounted near the ceiling.  Seem to work fine.  Is this a known issue?

i have two Sonia Era 300s as surrounds they are mounted up side down and seem to be working fine but I just noticed this coming up when going into the app settings anyone know what’s going on?  

Hi,This page lists Sonos products that support WPA3 security. Among the devices *not* in this list (I would personally like to know for a Sonos Play-1 but it'd be nice to have this information for all products) is it known which of them support:WPA2-PSK-SHA256 (use of SHA-256 as the hashing method instead of SHA-1, the latter being cryptographically broken) WPA3-SAE transition mode (WPA3-SAE but with the possibility to fallback on WPA2-PSK in case the client does not support the former protocol)From experience it seems the Sonos Play-1 at least does not support WPA2-PSK-SHA256, but I'd like to be sure as, again, WPA-PSK without SHA256 is cryptographically insecure. Thanks !

Feel like this is a topic that’s seems like it’s been brought up a thousand times prior to the alarm being reinstated, but I swear alarms used to have timers? Ok let me explain myself I had an alarm set for 5am in the kitchen so that when I came down around 5.05am my radio was playing this alarm timed out at 6am and switched off then at 7am another alarm came on playing the radio my partner likes for her to come down to at 7.05 she would leave for work and the “alarm” would cease at 8 and remain off until it went off again at around 5pm before I returned. Do Sonos plan to reinstate this feature? Is it there and I just let can’t see it?

I'm moving to Mexico in the Baja area. building a house that has 3 separate buildings. All walls are concrete. what kind of mesh system will you recommend so I dont have any lag on my music?
