Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

18/10/24. My Windows controller has just updated and now access to Tidal is broken :-( It can search for artists and songs but not albums or playlists! To play an album, I have to search for a track and then the album appears and I can play tracks one by one but not the album as a whole. Other services (e.g. Plex) work OK. - and the Android app is working. Mark Enderby

For many years i have been able to play music from my desktop PC music library then about a year ago after some updates the music library stopped playing music.  I tried all the normal permission and sharing and setting up new music folders directly on C drive or other remote drives all with permissions correct.Setting up new music folder works and sync music library works but syncs in about 3 seconds and no music to be seen via the app. The same music folders and files are syncing without any problems on my work system and plays music through S1 system no problem. Please advise what i can do to solve this  Many thanksMick

I’m not able to play any streaming content. Local library is fine but everything else seems to be down. Nothing on Sonos support page. Is it just me,  Mr Internet and local network is all performing as normal.  

Since the app update, I can only get Sonos to play one song at a time.Example: head to my tracks in my collection on tidal, select a track, it plays the song and then stops. It used to carry on playing through the list. Example 2: Search for a song or an artist, find a playlist, head to that playlist, select a song to start from and it plays the song but no more after.It used to just carry on playing.Even when you go to artist radio or song radio from another area, The same thing happens.How do I fix this?Thanks

Once again having updated my router I find that the play  1 will not find the WiFi without the ethernet connected.This has happened every time the router is changed or upgraded but usually gets sorted after cable connection. This time nothing..product not found continues with the orange light flashing on the speaker indicating no IP picked up.Not a great advert for Sonos if this happens regularlyAny fixes for this apart from " buy more new Sonos stuff" ?

Here's a new one:Last night my Arc-based home theater set up experienced a disconnect of the volume control  hand-off between LG display to Arc via HDMI. Could control volume via Alexa voice or sonos app, but not with the LG or any other remote control.Unplugged and rebooted everything this morning and the correct hand-off happens correctly again. Even faster than before. I thought this could be an artifact of cloud-based operation, but that might be a stretch.I was dreading contact sonos customer service....

As many have discovered many legacy NAS devices do not support anything other than SMB1 out of the box, and are no longer supported by their manufacturers, meaning there are no firmware of software updates. With a little digging (and some Linux knowledge), I was able to upgrade my Netgear Stora (about 12 years old) from SMB1 to SMB2 and thus get it working with the new Sonos environment. I find it surprising that I had to do this, given the large number of legacy NAS devices out there used for years by many happy Sonos customers (until now), even my shiny new Macbook Air, can use SMB1 to connect to such devices. Anyway that’s another issue.You need to have some technical Linux knowledge to do the following, it’s all done via a ssh session to the NAS.Here’s what I did. So I recently bought an Arc...now there’s a new version - I don’t THINK it makes sense to try and “upgrade” (try and return and get the new one)I bought an Arc for $899 last month.  Is it worth trying to return for the next gen for $100 more?I also want a sub...If I return my Arc for the Ultra, I think I’d go with the 4, but if I keep my current one, is there an advantage to the 4?

Hello, new to the forum. I have a play one Sl that I can’t connect to my new router. I have other units that have paired no issue just this one. I have wired it in for the moment and works ok. However when I try to create a surround, I choose the speaker it’s playing from the app and the wireless one will not work and asks to add to the wifi network again. It will not add if the wired one is in. If I reset both then add the other play one it pairs ok. But still can’t pair the Sl, that has to go wired again. The system was all ok before I upgraded to the pro hub 2. I can play them all together no issue just this pairing issue that’s possibly causing the surround issue too? I have spoken both to Sonos and Vodafone but still getting no where. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long postMany thanks

How does one Connect a DVD player to Sonos Beam 2. currently the DVD players connected to the TV. I would like to paly my music CD’s and hear the music on Sonos beam 2.Also in case I am watching a movie can I redirect the audio to Sonos Beam 2 Regards,Pat

Live radio stations keep disappearing and stop - start every time there is an app update. Cannot connect to tuner and in Australia TuneIn costs $$ - has Sonos completely disabled live radio?

I cannot get the Sonos App to open on my android phone.  I have unistalled, restarted my phone, reinstalled and still it sits at the opening black Sonos screen and goes no further.  I have uninstalled the app again, turned the phone off, restarted, reinstalled the app and still it does not work.Any suggestions?  I just want to be able to connect my Sonos One SL to the new WIFI connection.  Currently on Android Oxygen OS 11.1.10.10.AC01BA

HiMy SONOS setup is as follows;1 * Play 1 (not hard wired)1 * One SL (not hard wired)1 * SONOS Boost (hard wired)All running S21 * TP link network routerSONOS App running on IOS and Windows desktopI predominately use my setup to access a “ripped” MP3 music library that sits on windows share on a Windows 2012 server configured with SMB2. The SONOS app has been configured to use this as a music library - all has worked well prior to S2 upgrade. Now when selecting tracks they play erratically - on IOS give a “Content unavailable” / on Windows gives “an access denied” type error. A track that didn’t play one minute will then play if I try again 10 minutes later - all totally inconsistent and no pattern to any of it. Checked and rechecked share / NTFS permissions to Music Library location - all ok. Checked Windows 2012 firewall rules - all ok.After spending 45 minutes on a call with SONOS - they have told me that my setup is

I currently have a Sonos Arc, Roam, and a Boost - all of which worked seamlessly and consistently priori to the big app update last summer.The Arc has become particularly unreliable, and I’m hoping that this community may have a process to put it through which will resolve my issues.Note, I have troubleshot with Sonos team members and removed, and re-added the Arc multiple times.Sometimes, the Arc will simply not appear in my system. seems to be random, and resolve itself randomly as well Songs will stop playing from the Arc, but also when also playing from both the Arc and the Roam - however when playing the Roam alone, it never suffers from these issues The assistant listening mode will happen without anyone saying the hot word prompt. I’ve even disabled the mic in hopes to resolve this issue, but the listening mode still happensLots of issues here - could all be related or just individual items to resolve.

Hi,I have a Sonos system since 2010 and I have friends who asked me to recommend them an audio system and a TV sound bar.  They bought an Arc, Sub mini, Play 5 and one Era 100.  I have ripped all their CD collection and it works well.  They group all their speakers including the Arc and Sub mini when listening to music and when they turn on the TV, the ARC automatically starts playing the TV audio and the ARC drops off the group playing the music.  This works well, but it would be even better if the Arc software could detect when the TV is turned off and reconnects to the group it was originally part of.  This was previously asked 3 years ago on the forums by somebody else.  Maybe it could be an addition to the new software?  Is there an easy way to regroup the ARC to the original group if this cannot be done automatically? I am still on S1 with my personal setup, so I am

As topic. The Android phone app works as expected, e.g.If I search for “A State of Trance” under albums then it displays 1 album (comprising 5 discs) from my library (on my network share) and I can play that whole album. Same for the “Random” album, a Gary Numan tribute album comprising multiple artists. However, in the Windows app, under albums it presents as individual tracks. Using the web app is not an option of course because that doesn’t even support my own libraries at all, only streaming services.

It seems not possible to have new songs just released by 1 music service to have them play all at the same volume level.  The excuse because the songs were from original cd’s, MP3’s… is just not holding up anymore.Is Sonos going to solve this problem please?  It’s terribly annoying.Thank you

Hello,Currently doing electrical remodel for a customer and dabbling into speakers as i have installed sonos amps and speakers for customer but this remodel has me hesistant. As this customer wants to use existing speaker throughout house. The house has over 22 speakers which each room has a a wall volume control as two speakers in each room will run to volume control then ran to media center in living room(speaker wire 16/4 and ethernet). I want to split house into 6 zones, listed below. Basically asking could i just have the wire ran from volume control wired straight into the amp or would i have too disconnect volume control(outdated i believe) and run new wires from each speaker to new amp?Trying to avoid running new wires to existing speakers, but am fine doing so if needed. Just confused if I’m over thinking and the volume control is just something that can coexist and use the speaker wire/ethernet ran back to the media center. Living room(4 speaker

I have a Sonos amp connected to 4x Architectural ceiling speakers and a Sonos amp. The speakers work quite well but lack a little bass. As soon as the amp is added to the system, the equaliser and fader no longer work.
