Hi,

I recently purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sonos sub-mini, and two Sonos Era 300 speakers.

Although I purchased them together , I had to wait for the Eras to be delivered. During that time, I set up the Arc with the sub, and it all sounded fantastic. I was really looking forward to the Eras arriving so I could set it all up as a Dolby Atmos sound surround system, obviously all in the same room. I have followed as many guides as I could regarding setting it all up. I realize that I must be watching films and music that support Dolby Atmos, I stream music from Spotify and Amazon Music, as I was looking forward to listening to music with this complete music system. I listen to music all day so it is an important aspect for me.

On Amazon Music, while listening to an album being streamed in Dolby Atmos I can hear music some sound from the Eras, but very faintly. The same when playing a Blue Ray video in Dolby Atmos. I would like to hear far more from them.

As for setup, I used the Sonos app, via an Android phone, sadly I don't have an Apple iPhone.

So that's the setup, my questions are: Have I set up correctly, if not what else should I do? to get more sound from the back speakers.

The App allows you to set the volume of the surrounds which might be what you want.

For non-Atmos content you should be able to select Full mode for the Surrounds, it puts more sound out to the Surrounds than the default Ambient mode.

Are all Sonos and the Controller on the latest system update?

You can force a check/update from the Settings / Manage menu.

I listen to a lot of classical orchestral music in Atmos on my Arc-Sub3-300s.  The 300s are around 3-4 feet behind me on stands that put them at ear height.  In my seated position I hear nothing from the surrounds. But I am aware that suddenly I’ve been transported into the orchestra hall.  I don’t ever want to hear anything that sounds like it came from a rear speaker except maybe in a movie.

Did you run Quick Tuning TruePlay?  We’re the microphones on for the Arc Ultra and both 300s before executing the TruePlay?
