I set up a pair of Era 300s and a Sub 4 in my living room. I also set up a single Era 300 and Sub Mini in my bedroom. When I used Trueplay on setup, I was excited as to how Dolby Atmos songs would sound since the pinging during Trueplay sounded like it was coming from all directions (the pinging during Trueplay is actually quite impressive). I have read numerous discussions where people rave about the experience when listening to Dolby Atmos songs; however, I hear no difference whether the Spatial Music toggle is on or off.

I am using Apple Music directly through the Sonos app, the height audio is set to 10, the Spatial Music toggle is on, and the “Dolby Atmos” icon is present in the song art. Nonetheless, there is zero difference in the sound when the Spatial Music toggle is turned off. Any suggestions?

If you disable Spatial Music while a song in Dolby Atmos is playing, it won’t switch to stereo immediately. Try restarting the song or moving to the next song. You should see the Dolby Atmos logo change to Lossless.
