In short, I’m unable to add any content from Plex to Sonos Favorites anymore since the big app update. Adding an album makes it appear but greyed out and which you can’t select. It also appears to be added as a song. See photo below showing first two albums greyed out. 
 

All my Sonos favorites not greyed out are from Plex before the app update & play fine. Adding albums or content to Sonos favorites from Spotify, Bandcamp etc also works as normal. 


This was mentioned in a post 5 months ago so am assuming it’s an ongoing bug?

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with Plex.

In our own testing, we were unable to recreate this behaviour. As a result, I recommend that you try removing Plex from your Sonos system, then add it back on again:

Remove a music service account from Sonos

Add a music service to Sonos

If this does not resolve the problem, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Tried this but made no difference. Did you try adding something from Plex? 

There’s a post from 6 months ago of others having similar issues with Plex and some other music services with the new app.

I have not been able to use Plex on Sonos since I switched to an Internet Provider that uses CGNAT - it’s a limitation that Plex specify in their support pages.

I did, however, ask staff if they could reproduce the issue and the one reply I got (Plex is not hugely popular) was that they could not - I did not get much more info than that.

I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.


I cannot add plex to my Sonos android app, but it is on my PC app. This sonos software just doesn’t work well.

Everytime I try to add it on the android app, it tells me an error has occured after tapping to authorize. Each instance shows up as an authorized service in the PC app.


Just to add I was able to succesfully add an album from Plex to Sonos Favorites using the Sonos app for Windows (instead of the new S2 app).

 

So in my case, this certainly looks like an issue limited to the new Sonos S2 iOS app since it was redeveloped unfortunately.
