Can someone please advise in simple terms,...can I connect my old CD player from my HiFi stacking system to Era 100 ?

I want to play my CDs through the Era100 with no other equipment in a simple two piece set up.

I believe I use the Sonos Line In adaptor with other cable adaptors, but what do I need at the back of my CD Player ? I have Analogue Output LR and Digital Output Coaxial ?

And very importantly, no sort of Amplifier required ?

I have trawled the advice online but cannot find a straight forward answer.

Thanks all.

The Era needs an analogue input, so you need to connect the RCA connection on your CD player to the adapter, probably through an RCA to mini jack adapter.

Thanks 106rallye, however my CD player has Analogue Output LR and Digital Output Coaxial connections...are these RCA ?

And I presume no Amplifier ? I can set this up for a simple two piece set up ?

Sorry, dumb questions but struggling for simple answers.

Cheers.

The left/right are likely RCA line outs, the coax connector looks similar but doesn't output an audio signal.

All Sonos speakers have internal amplifiers and no way to use another.

Use images on the internet to identify your outputs on the player - most likely to be RCA’s - or post a photo here and someone will identify them for you.

Thanks for replies, but another thought….can I convert my HiFi CD Player to transmit Bluetooth that the Era100 will pick up ? I read about Bluetooth Transmitters ? Thanks all

Check the audio quality Bluetooth is going to deliver.
