Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I own a Sonos ARC and a sub mini. I just bought a pair of Era 100’s. When I was trying to install the Era 100’s, it wouldn’t recognize the sound for the pin. I had to add them manually with the S/N on the bottom of the speaker. Now I want to run the Trueplay to set it all up and it fails every time. I can get it to the point where you turn your phone around and it starts to play the sound and fails right away. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and it is upgraded to the latest IOS 18.0.1 software. Is there a problem between IOS 18 and the Sonos app? It worked perfectly when I ran Trueplay on the Sonos ARC setup. Anybody else having a problem? 

So many issues going on. Any insight would be helpful. What I have:sonos bar & subwoofer (2) Sonos play 1’s(1) Sonos play 5Issue 1: cannot find bar at all. I’ve tried unplugging/replugging. I’ve tried factory reset. Cannot find it at all. I have a new tv and I think it’s too new to connect the bar to use the volume. I’d like to at least use my phone for this. Any ideas? Issue 2: I finally managed to get my (2) play 1’s found through the Sonos S1 app, but iTunes (my main music stream) does not see them. I usually connect these to my play 5, as they are in adjoining rooms and have music playing through all. Sonos is not seeing my streaming through iTunes so I can’t play anything through these. ?? Issue 3: cannot find play 5 speaker over the S1 app. It is however seen through iTunes. Again, cannot join this with the room my play 1’s are in.  Help!! I just want music in my house again. 

Changed my network and 10 days later having tried everything still can’t connect. Absolutely useless  

I am trying to replace my Beam gen 1 home theatre with Arc Ultra soundbar.  The two surrounds (gen 1 ones) and Sub Gen 2 will not connect to Ultra, yet have no problem connecting to Beam. I have reset the speakers, connected via ethernet to router and still no luck. Any suggestions? I have contacted tech support and still no luck.

I am currently building a home and have the prime opportunity to put my favorite sound system in the ceiling but am struggling to find the information needed to power them. Am I understanding this correctly that for every 2 passive speakers I need 1 amp or is there another device that I am unaware of that can tie all of these together?? I am currently looking at 14 - 16 speakers throughout the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

In my Sonos system I have a Playbar, Sub and 2 Play 1 speakers, all in the same room and all on the latest firmware. On a Synology NAS drive I have my own music library.  The NAS is running the latest version of DSM.If I remove the Sub from the system or room, then I can access the music library from my Android app and play songs from it through the Sonos system.  When I connect the Sub back to the other speakers, I get the unhelpful message “Something went wrong” as soon as I try to open the music library in the Android app.  However I can open and select songs from the music library using the Windows application.I contacted Sonos support about this problem today and they told me it’s a known issue affecting multiple users.  I asked when it would be fixed and was told there is no estimated fix date.I did not have this issue before the May update.  However I first became aware the Sub was the cause of the problem at the start of October. Until then I thought accessing the music library

Is there a fix for the Plat 5 S1 which doenst come up.The power supply is ok, the 12 and 24 Volt is there.Any idea what can cause the problem?

I have this issue frequently. When I play music particularly from the Spotify app, the Sonos app is not aware that it's playing music. This has happened even when I've used the Sonos app to initiate playback on hardwired speakers. 10 minutes later when I open the Sonos app again, it doesn't realize it's playing music. I have to wait a long time or start some new music l in order to stop it. These are hardwired Sonos devices with in in ceiling speakers so I can't simply push the hardware pause button. Is this a known issue? And is a fix in the works? This seems to have started with the new app roll out.

I am getting mixed information about the return of the skip forward and skip back buttons in Pocket Casts on the new Sonos app. It sounds silly, but this one bit of functionality keeps me from using the Sonos app; I now have a less reliable experience running the separate Pocket Casts app and using Airplay. Is this functionality returning? 

Can I mount the new arc ultra to my existing arc wall mount ? 

I just completed upgrading my Wireless network to a Deco BE11000 Mesh.  This has a 2.4 Ghz & 5Ghz Combo network with a Single SSID and a dedicated IOT network with only a 2.4 Ghz SSID.  I have hard reset my Play 1, One SL, and Roam, I cannot get any of them to add to either of the Wireless networks.  I also have attempted to do an Ethernet connection for the Play 1 and the One SL, while I do see them pop up and get DHCP within my deco app, the Sonos app will not see them or set them up.   when I go to https://IP:1400/support/review  I getZoneName Unnamed Room LocalUID RINCON_38420B5B1D0C01400 Configuration 0 IPAddress 192.168.xx.xx SoftwareVersion 81.1-58210 HardwareVersion 1.28.2.6-1.2 SWGen 2 QuarantineReason   StubReason secreg  

Hi community,  Already for some time, I have multiple speakers in my apartment. first, I had two speakers set-up as stereopair. These were visible in AirPlay as just one entity (I mean: you can hit one button on your list of devices, they show up as 1 thing).  Now, i added another stereopair to my set-up. So now there is 4 speakers in one room. Now I see two entities in Airplay: one entity for Stereo Pair A, and one for Stereo Pair B.  What I am looking for, is to combine stereo pair A, and stereo pair B together, by combing these, that makes controlling stuff easier, plus it looks decent ;-).  Now, I know that Sonos offers to “group” speakers together, but that doesn't fix the Airplay entities. So I am actually looking to “merge” the two stereo pairs.  Does anyone knows how to set this up? Or can someone tell me if this is even a possibility? I was also looking into my HAS setup to make this work, but up until now no succes. I hope one of you might be able to help me. Thanks!

Hi, my first post and previous threads on this topic were either old or had comments turned off so here goes.  Although working well, none of my collections album art shows on the Android app.  The build is 80.11.33 and previous posts/comments seem to infer that rolling back to a previous version would solve the issue.  So my question is: has anyone solved the issue or is reverting to a previous build the answer?  I suppose if the answer is yes then the remaining question is how is this achieved?   

So, I’ve been getting used to the incremental improvements to the S2 controller and can now play my old Sonos Playlists on my system (3 x Amps plus a Play 3). What I can’t work out though, is how to create a new playlist (ive currenty got 5 or 6 playlists mostly rock or 80s stuff).I want to create my own Christmas playlist but don’t seem to be able to now. I can’t even add/delete songs to my existing playlists to modify one of them into a Christmas list. Any ideas welcome…. 

I sat down again and tried to import my iTunes playlists. Again without success. I've gradually had enough.Macbook Pro M1 with Sequoia 15.1.1; iTunes playlist is on an external hard drive (../Data2/Music). Sonos 16.4.2. About 50k songs.Sonos refuses to import with error 113When trying to connect the library via network drive connection it does only import Artists and songs but no Playlists. And it does not actualise it regularly.Does anyone have any ideas?I have various speakers and an ARC and have been using the stuff for a long time - but at the moment the whole thing is only good for listening to the radio.Even playing directly from iTunes only works sometimes. Sometimes the connection to the speakers is established, sometimes not. It's all extremely frustrating.

HI, I have my main SOny TV connected to Sonos and everything works great.In another room is another Sony TV, and I would like to be able to connect it also so when watching it, sound is through SOnos also.Is this possible ?thanks in advance.

I have two BBC Sounds accounts that I use mostly for testing, but I get very different results on four different apps. If I go into it then Discover Podcasts (or Music You’ll Love):iOS: works 100%Android: works 100% but dates are missing from podcasts (just shows length in mins)Windows Desktop: “Unable to browse music” for both list types (all others work)play.sonos.com: BBC Sounds not even listed as a service. Of course I tried my own apps and I get similar results to the official Windows app (due to empty xml being returned). Can someone located in the UK try these and compare results?

 I use Sonos MOVE. If you turn off auto trueplay from the app, you cannot turn it on from the top panel. The button is not active. Previously, I could turn auto trueplay on or off from the top panel and from the app. It was convenient..

Small cross post from the Dutch language community.Yesterday I connected my new Arc Ultra. First I separated the Sub (gen 2), the One and One SL that form the surrounds from the Beam (gen 1), then I renamed the Beam and disconnected it. Connected the Arc Ultra and put it on wifi (other devices are connected to a Boost). Sub and One (SL) reconnected. Did the advanced Trueplay. Connected the Ace, added Google Assistant - that appears to work on the One that serves as a surround. That's a gift - it used to work that way with a Playbar, but I hadn't read anywhere that it would work with the Arc Ultra. The Nest Mini that I already purchased can therefore be returned. The set up went smoothly.First experiences. Wow. Sound is clearer. Tried a bit of Dune 2 (see https://www.whathifi.com/features/the-best-dolby-atmos-movie-scenes) for Atmos. Had to go back into the settings of the Samsung TV, but it works. Atmos sounds good, even with my non-Atmos rear speakers. Music from Blu Ray sounds great

I am no doubt overthinking this. Was watching Final Level on Amazon Prime through both Apple TV app and internal TV app (Hisense U7K).The sound was very poor but, having watched it through internal TV speakers too, it seems like a mix issue.However, in trying to figure out what was wrong I moved close to the Arc and ran my ears along it. There is sound from the centre and from each end. To the right of the centre the bass section produces sound.However, there is a dead spot of about 6 inches to the left of centre. Looking at the exploded diagram it seems that this is actually a dead spot (at least front facing) but can anyone confirm that no considerable sound comes from that section before I attempt resolution? It all still sounds fine, balanced etc, just wanted to confirm.

I use Apple Music and the app only allows 1 song to be played at a time. This was never a problem before. I can’t be expected to hit play after every song. What’s the problem? 

I have completed all of the proper network sharing options on my laptop for my "music library" to be accessible.  I can see it on my work laptop, my MacBook Air, and PC media center. I can access the whole library, play individual songs, playlists or what ever I want with no problem. Now for the "phone apps" - For some reason when I touch the "music library" on any of my phones, as soon as I tap on any selections (songs, artists, playlist, composers, genres, etc.) I get an exclamation point in a circle and the message is ALWAYS "something went wrong."  I would really like an answer to why this is always happening on the phone apps and litterally NEVER happening on the PCs or Macs.  Don't try and blame my network settings. I am very network savvy and I've additionally already troubleshot everything with a network professional that is on the top of their game.  If you want to just admit that the phone apps are still garbage or that all the bugs are not worked out and that you are still w

Issue​​​​​​​The Sonos app has repeatedly been unable to find my new Era 100 speakers after using Spotify Connect. I would then have to reboot the speakers. This wasn’t an issue with my Sonos Ones. It could be a coincidence with the new app architecture? Not sure if this is an app or speaker issue. How to reproduce the issueHave Sonos speakers already set up in the Sonos app and connected/appearing. Go to Spotify and tap Spotify Connect Select relevant speakers Play music for a few minutes Check Sonos app and see its working Pause music and leave it for a few hours - Spotify Connect should auto disconnect from the speakers Go back and attempt to use Spotify Connect to connect to the same speakers, at this point the speakers have disappeared.
