Help! I have Amazon Music unlimited in New Zealand, and it's driving me inane trying to get it work with the Sonos App. I can't just add it as a service but have to use a convoluted process with Alexa and it just doesn’t work nicely. I can’t easily select different music for different rooms, and today nothing would work for my wife on her phone. I really don't want to have to swap to another streaming service again. Can anyone tell me why I can't simply add a service in the Sonos app? Amazon Music is available in New Zealand. I have a family account. Especially after how much I have invested in Sonos products since December
Hi
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear of this issue you’ve had with trying to add Amazon Music to your Sonos system.
I have double-checked, and Amazon Music is indeed available in New Zealand, and the address on your account is properly set to NZ. So, it should work.
How does it go wrong for you? I presume you see Amazon Music in the list of services to add, but it goes wrong when you try to add it? Do you see any error messages? Have you tried adding the service from another device?
Or is it that you have the service added, but it just won’t play? If this is the case, please try removing the service from your Sonos system, then adding it again:
Remove a music service account from Sonos
When you say “I can’t easily select different music for different rooms,” what is happening, exactly?
Please feel free to post some screenshots of what you see (or upload a video to YouTube/Google Drive or similar and share a link to it here) if it’s easier than explaining in text.
I hope this helps.
Thanks. I gave up, cancelled Amazon and signed up to Tidal as I can add that with no issues and everything works just fine now
