Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Grateful for anyone who can help please - I've been tearing my hair out!  I’m unable to properly connect my 2 OneSLs to the new Wi-Fi network after we upgraded the router. Surprisingly the two old Play:3s and a more recent Move work fine and are happily connected.  The router is a Vodafone Ultra Hub with extender which offers 2.4, 5 and 6Ghz on different networks, recognising that older devices may not be able to connect to 6Ghz. the OneSLs are instantly recognised when connected by Ethernet but disappear when using Wi-Fi. They can be found by factory resetting on Wi-Fi but then disappear again at the end of the “add new speaker” process (this finishes with the statement: “your product has been added, but may not appear in your system  unplug it, plug it back in, to finish setup from settings”  and of course when you do that it can't be found again!)restarting the router doesn't help  turning off the extender doesn't helpseparating the different networks doesn't helpconnecting via Ethe

Sonos not connecting to Apple TV, was working only weeks agoI airplay my projectors sound to two Sonos Ones. And they worked well only a few weeks ago. It was simply a matter of selecting the Sonos system from the audio menu and it would connect. Now I’ve tried factory resetting and reconnecting the speakers and they still won’t play through Apple TV. I’m stuck and not sure what else to try?Could it be the latest version of the app? I’ve read a few others complaining of different problems but blaming it on the app. Anyone with a similar problem? Or any ideas of what else I might need to try to get them working again.  

I understand that the Play 1 is not supported with the Arc Ultra, however some have said they do work. Has anyone found that they actually do NOT work? Sounds like Sonos want to remove the support stream. I appreciate there could be a future issue with upgrades etc but my question is has anyone found they were unable to bond the Play 1s with the Arc Uktra?

Hello I have Beam 2nd Gen paired with two Ikea Symfonisk as surrounds. Those work properly by themselves, even as stereo pair, also I'm able to set them in a separate room and play music in both living room and symfonisks' room at the same time.  But, when I set them as surrounds, even if the process is done fine, all the steps of the app properly done and they appear as set as surrounds... They don't sound, not in 5.1 films, nor in surround music. I have spatial music activated, surround music activated…volume is high enough.  The buttons of the symfonisks work, so I can control volume of the beam up and down from the Symfonisk. I have reset all the speakers to factory reset and tried a fresh connection. Same results.  I tried to connect one of the speakers through RJ45 but still no sound and also, it's weird that I buy wireless speakers and I have to use them connected to the router with a cable.  I have not been able to find solutions on internet What could be the solution?  Thanks

Hello we have just purchase 2 arc ultras with subs for two separate rooms.  Each are set up with a TV.  I have successfully paired one Arc and sub in one room however setting up the second arc I cannot locate the flashinglight due to how the tv and arc have been connected physically.  Below is the notification from the app and the photo of how mine looks.  

Volume is very low with my surround speakers One SL speakers left & right, I can barely hear it. Majority of the sound is coming from the beam & im no longer getting the surround effect. 

“There was a problem adding Sonos Voice Control. Make sure product is connected to Wi-Fi.”This is the error I have been getting every time I try adding SVC. Was able to add Alexa and it works. My phone with the Sonos App is on the same Wi-Fi network as the Roam 2 , same channel. T When I try to add SVC, it takes several minutes until that error message above is displayed.Tried using a different WiFi router, logging off/on from the Sonos App, re-installing the app. But for some reason, I cannot get SVC added. Would really like to do away with Alexa, if I can only add SVC. Any ideas? Why I cant add SVC to Roam 2? What is causing this?

I recently update the iOS app and it now wants me to update the firmware on my Sonos components, which I’m happy to do except that the update always fails with error 30.Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

I want to use Sonos Amp for my hi-fi-speakers but need more power than the amp supplies. Is there any way I can put together two Sonos Amps for the same set of speakers and thus “doubling” or increasing the power? Thank you in advance. 

Samsung Frame TV connected to a Playbar and Sub in my living room.  Works fine if playing from the TV or other SONOS sources.  2 Speakers connected to a Connect AMP (with 2 speakers) and configured as surround sound for the room produce either no volume from the TV or it’s so low I can’t tell if they’re working because I hear the sound from the playbar and sub.  If I pull the Connect AMP out of that room and set it up as a separate room both speakers are loud and clear when playing any SONOS source other than TV.  Why would that be? How can I get these speakers to work as both surround sound and when playing music from a SONOS source.  

Hi, I have a Sonos 5 that I want to connect to my Sony Bluetooth turntable, I live in a fairly small property so I’m limited on space. The turntable will have to be situated upstairs with the Sonos 5 speaker downstairs, can I connect them both with a Bluetooth receiver connected to the Sonos 5? I’m looking at the ifi zen air blue receiver on Amazon, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Simon.

I upgraded my iPhone 16 pro max to 18.2 and since then my Sonos app only works spasmodically. I have left my iPad on 18.1 and works ok with no issues. I upgraded my wife’s iPhone to 18.2 with same results.  Works ok if I access Sonos speakers through Spotify app or Sonos windows up. Tried everything to no avail. I notice that the app logs me out of the Sonos servers occasionally. Sonos do not help when they continually say they do not have problems, but as stated before no problems with iOS 18.1 don’t they test Sonos against a new version of iOS? 

Hello, I am looking into buying the arc with a sub mini and 2 era 100s.I had a few questions please: I would like to configure the era 100s as a surround speaker with the arc and the sub.For listening to music I would like to switch the era 100s to stereo mode, I think I understood that there was an option for this in the application ("full" mode).If I understand correctly the sub mini and the arc will also play with the era 100s, will there be latency if I play music from the TV with the era 100s in "full" mode, do I absolutely have to go through the app to stream the music and avoid latency? Sorry for my english

We had a very well working setup with a playbar, Sub Gen 3, and two Play:1 as rear speakers.When I tried to update the network setting to use the WIFI, the rear surrounds (Play:1) went silent. The interesting part is that the true play setup works and they makes sound during the setup but then silence when playing content that they previously worked really well for. This is really annoying. When looking at about section, the rears are visible and the system show no signs of problems. The app says it output sounds in 5.1 as usual but the rears are silent.All speakers are set up to use wireless network and the playbar is connected with a wired connection. Anybody experienced a similar problem?

I have a setup with an Arc, Sub, and 3 Amps.  1 Amp for the in-ceiling speakers in the room with the Arc and Sub (for TV), another Amp for outdoor speakers, and a 3rd Amp for speakers in another room.  I want to add a Turntable and CD player (long story on why we can’t just use streaming).  If I connect the Turntable to one Amp, and the CD Player to another will I be able to select the line-in from either Amp and choose to play that input wherever I choose?  For example, if the CD player was connected to Line-In for the Amp powering the outdoor speakers, could I use that input and play it only in the 3rd room, while simultaneously playing a different input through the outdoor speakers?  Does that make any sense at all? 

I have an iPhone 12 running iOS 18.1.1, and after months of seriously bad functionality (since the “new app” was released), now all my devices have disappeared from the app, even the one plugged directly into ethernet. On my Mac OS, I can see all the devices, and the Sonos app works perfectly. After following all the usual recommendations, I deleted and re-installed the Sonos app on my phone, and now it cannot even find my Sonos system (I cannot “join existing system”).I am currently using a “work around” by playing Spotify on my phone, and casting it to my Sonos speakers via AirPlay, but the Sonos app itself cannot see the same speakers that I can cast to.So what I have done is:-clicked “forget” on my wifi connection, and re-joined it by re-entering the password multiple times-re-installed the Sonos app multiple times-restarted my phone multiple times-restarted my router multiple times-rebooted one of my Play 5 speakers and re-set up the wifi connection just to test and see if that ma

So you CAN update your music library!  Just not with Sonos…  But you can do it with SonosPhone!  For a nominal fee of less than $10,you can have an app that will easily and quickly update your music library.

Has anyone else struggled with the Sonos Ace power button? For me, it seems to work only when pressed for a very precise length of time—not too long or too short. It’s a bit frustrating compared to the toggle switch on my old Bose QC-35 headphones. What’s the secret to pressing the power button?

It is evident from this: … that newer Sonos devices do not give noise floor or OFDM ANI information on the network matrix. Can anyone tell me why this is? Has the network matrix been replaced by some other diagnostic tool? Thanks all,Tom

Hi, I have a Sonos beam Gen 2 with the HDMI into the TV’s ARC port and the PC HDMI into the TV. But when I try using Dolby Atmos through the Dolby Access on Windows 11 it’s all out of sync. Can anyone help me solve this? Thanks.

I have just purchased a playbar from marketplace.plugged into my TV via optic, sound works through TV however, volume is stuck on one volume and can only adjust via the app.  The tv remote is compatible with the the playbar however, it just won’t connect. Do I need to use a hdmi-optic converter to go from optic to hdmi in the tv for it to work? This is what I have gathered online however, seems counterintuitive to have to buy an adaptor in order for tv remote to work on tv to playbar?

Can anyone help me play music using the Sonos app?Let me first state this is not a rant post about app. I also have not had many of the app issues many have experienced. I’ve had Sonos for more than 6 years and never had issues (outside the well known/admitted by Sonos ones). I use the Sonos app to control all playback. Occasionally, I’ll use Airplay, and have been to help deal with this bug. The issue started with the latest app update, and basically will not let me play music from any source in the Sonos app. Sonos, Spotify, Apple Music, any service. Conversely, my wife has not updated the app to the latest, and her phone (using my account) works fine to play any service to all speakers, as mine did before the update. I’ve tried all means of sign in/out of accounts, reset passwords, uninstalled and reinstalled apps. What voice commands do you use to connect the speaker in the living room with another speaker in the house 

We’re an FM radio station in Los Angeles (USA) with a known good stream on TuneIn, as well as other platforms. We are not equipped with a Sonos device, but several listeners to the station are and they report that they’re no loner able to listen via Sonos. Can anyone in The Community check with your Sonos device then report your experience?88.5 FM / The SoCal Sound / KCSN   

So this is partly a question, but also a report. I am relatively new to Sonos and I hadn’t experienced any of the issues that have plagued others since the new app came out, until now. The TL;DR is:Sonos speakers all disconnected from Unifi AP when channels were changed. I was eventually able to reconnect them, but received frequent false reports of an incorrect Wi-Fi password. Another channel change disconnected devices again. An Era 100 did not reconnect. Nothing I tried would get it to reconnect until I set a shorter Wi-Fi password.The long version:I recently switched to Unifi and set up my network based on recommendations for Sonos, even though none of my devices can use SonosNet.
